The Christmas Invasion

Tyler's flat…

"December 24th, 2006." Jared said, decorating the white plastic tree with Jackie, Silica, and Weiss. "I love this time of the year. So festive, it's the time of giving."

"More like the time of getting." Silica said, and she and Jackie are putting presents under the Christmas tree. "So, how did it go for the Doctor and Rose?"

"Jared, you said that they were supposed to come in any minute now." Weiss said, while Jackie looks at the present for Rose and gazes wistfully into the distance. "Where are they?"

Clancy's garage…

Meanwhile, at Mickey's work, Noddy Holder is screaming 'Merry Christmas' on the radio when another sound can be faintly heard above it and John's hammering.

"Hey, turn that down. Turn it off, Stevo. Turn that off! John, shut up!" Mickey said, hearing the TARDIS materializing, and he ran out of the garage.

The Tyler's flat…

Jackie, Jared, Weiss, and Silica hears it too.

"Rose!" Jackie said, happily.

"Finally!" Silica said, smiling.

"Took them long enough." Weiss said, annoyed. "You dragged me away from the rest of Team RWBY for this!"

"Sorry." Jared said, rubbing the back of his head. "My bad, ice queen."

Powell Estate...

"Mickey!" Jackie said, running towards Mickey with Jared, Weiss, and Silica behind her.

"Jackie, Weiss, Silica, Jared, it's the Tardis!" Mickey said, happily.

"We know, we know, we heard it. She's alive, Mickey. We said so, didn't we? She's alive!"

"Just shut up a minute."

"Well, where is it then?"

"I think it's over there…" Weiss said, and the the Tardis comes out of the vortex in mid air and bounces off one block of flats, a second and a third before avoiding a post office van and finally crashing into a set of waste bins. "Okay...that was really bad flying."

"It wasn't that bad." Silica said, smiling. "At least he made it easy for us to find him."

The Doctor opens the door, still in t-shirt and leather jacket, "Here we are then, London. Earth. The Solar System. We did it. Jackie. Mickey. Blimey! No, no, no, no, hold on. Wait there. I've got something to say. There was something I had to tell you, something important. What was it? No, hold on, hold on. Hold on, shush, shush, shush, shush. Oh, I know! Merry Christmas!"

The Doctor collapses. Rose comes out of the Tardis.

"What happened? Is he all right?" Rose asked.

"I don't know, he just keeled over. But who is he? Where's the Doctor?" Mickey asked, looking at Rose.

"That's him, right in front of you. That's the Doctor."

"What do you mean, that's the Doctor? Doctor who?" Jackie asked.

"That is the Doctor." Jared said, laughing a lot. "Come on you guys, let's get him inside."

(Jared's POV)

The Tyler's flat:bedroom…

The Doctor has been dressed in pyjamas and put to bed.

Jackie comes in with a stethoscope, "Here we go. Tina the cleaner's got this lodger, a medical student, and she was fast asleep, so I just took it. Though I still say we should take him to hospital."

"We can't do that." Silica said, sadly. "Not without them knowing who or what he is."

"She's right." I said, and I put on my Augma to pet Pina who's on Silica's shoulder. "Thank goodness tech at Beacon were able to counteract the bad of the Ordinal Scale."

"Good thing too." Silica said, petting Pina who is on her shoulder. "Pina likes being with me."

"And they'd lock him up. They'd dissect him. One bottle of his blood could change the future of the human race. No! Shush!" Rose said, listening to both sides of the Doctor's chest. "Both working."

"What do you mean, both?" Jackie asked.

"Well, he has two hearts." Weiss said, crossing her arms.

"Oh, don't be stupid."

"He does."

"Anything else he's got two of?"

"Leave him alone." Rose said, leaving the room with Jackie.

The Doctor exhales some of the Tardis's golden energy, which flies off into space.

"What is that?" Weiss asked, looking at me. "Coming out of the Doctor's mouth."

"Regeneration energy." I said, still petting Pina. "The Doctor has changed everything about him, but his memories are still the same."

"How long will he be out for?" Silica asked. "Will it be long?"

"He will wake up on Christmas Day."

"That's a day away." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "Why is it that long?"

"I don't know!"

The Tyler's flat:kitchen…

Rose investigates the fridge, with Weiss, Silica, and I behind her.

"How can he go changing his face? Is that a different face or is he a different person?" Jackie asked.

"How should I know? Sorry. The thing is I thought I knew him, Mum. Like I know Jared and those lot from Beacon. I thought me and the Doctor were…and then he goes and does this. I keep forgetting he's not human. The big question is where'd you get a pair of men's pyjamas from?" Rose asked, looking at what Jackie is wearing.

"Howard's been staying over."

"What, Howard from the market? How long's that been going on?"

"A month or so. First of all, he starts delivering to the door and I thought, that's a odd. Next thing you know, it's a bag of oranges…"

"Is that Harriet Jones?" Rose asked, as the younger blonde goes into the living room.

"Oh, never mind me."

The Tyler's flat…

"Okay, Jackie, spill." Weiss said, looking at the TV. "What's a woman like Harriet Jones doing on TV?"

"She's Prime Minister now. I'm eighteen quid a week better off. They're calling it Britain's Golden Age. I keep on saying my Rose has met her." Jackie said, catching us up.

"Did more than that. Stopped World War Three with her. Harriet Jones." Rose said, smiling.

"Prime Minister, what about those calling the Guinevere One Space Probe a waste of money?" A man asked, on TV.

"Now, that's where you're wrong. I completely disagree if you don't mind. The Guinevere One Space Probe represents this country's limitless ambition. British workmanship sailing up there among the stars." Harriet said, on TV.

"This is the spirit of Christmas, birth and rejoicing, and the dawn of a new age, and that is what we're achieving fifteen million miles away. Our very own miracle." Llewellyn said, on TV.

"The unmanned probe Guinevere One is about to make it's final descent. Photographs of the Martian Landscape should be received by midnight tonight." A narrator said, on TV.

Out in space, the probe bumps into presumably either Phobos or Deimos. A hatch opens in the Martian moon and the probe is sucked inside.

Street…

A brass band dressed in Santa robes plays God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen. I'm walking down a different part of the street with Silica and Weiss, but still close to Rose and Mickey.

"So, that space probe." Weiss said, and I'm eating Christmas cookies with Silica. "Know anything about it?"

"When doesn't he?" Silica asked, snacking on the gingerbread cookies. "These cookies, they're rather good."

"They're made with love." I said, drinking my peppermint mocha. "I made them with Asuna and Ren."

"You made those cookies." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "You cooking? Yeah, right."

"We did. It was a lot of fun too."

"Cookies like these, they deserve to be shared." Silica said, petting Pina on her shoulder. "What will the enemies do? What we're up against? Is it bad?"

"A little bad." I said, sadly. "Keep the Augma safe."

"Why do I have a feeling that you're gonna do something stupid?" Weiss asked, annoyed. "Like Ruby, the Doctor, and Kirito."

"When don't we?"

"Mmm, must drive you mad. I'm surprised you don't give up on me." Rose said, looking at Mickey.

"Oh, that's the thing, isn't it? You can rely on me. I don't go changing my face." Mickey said.

"Yeah. What if he's dying?"

"Okay."

"Sorry!"

"Just let it be Christmas. Can you do that? Just for a bit. You and me and Christmas. Look at what Jared is doing with Weiss and Silica. They're doing what we're supposed to be doing. No Doctor, no bog monsters, no life or death."

"Okay."

"Promise?"

"Yes!"

"Right! What're you going to get for your mum?" Mickey asked, and we're walking around the market. "I'm round there all the time now, you know. She does my dinner on a Sunday, talks about you all afternoon, yap yap yap."

The band, which is wearing plastic masks, starts to follow us. Rose and I notice. They stop playing and one fires a flame out of his trombone, starting a panic.

"Shit!" I said, taking out my Monado and Weiss took out her Myrtenaster.

"Did you know they were coming?" Weiss asked, sending a blast of ice dust at the robot santas. "Those things?"

"Yeah." I said, noticing that Mickey, Rose, and Silica are hiding behind a stall. "I knew all along. I kept quiet. Because things will go downhill from here."

"It's us! They're after us!" Rose said, while the tuba fires a blast which demolishes a large tree, sending it crashing onto the robot santa.

"It looks like I don't have to stop any robots today." Weiss said, running away with Mickey, Rose, Silica, and I. "At least we're safe."

"What's going on? What've we done? Why are they after us?" Mickey asked.

"Taxi!" Rose and Silica yelled at the same time.

(Open POV)

Taxi...

"They're after the Doctor." Rose said.

"Of course they are." Weiss said, sitting in between Rose and Mickey, with her Scroll out and she has Jared on video chat.

"I can't even go shopping with you. We get attacked by a brass band. Who're you phoning?" Mickey asked, looking at Rose.

"My mum." Rose said.

Motorcycle…

"Out of all the times for Jackie to be calling someone." Jared said, as Silica is holding onto his waist. "She has to shut up."

"Jackie talks all the time." Silica said, and Jared is riding his motorcycle. "Wasn't this supposed to be Yang's?"

"Yeah." Jared said, nodding his head. "Added an anti-gravity mode on it. But I don't think it's practical in 2006."

The Tyler's flat...

Jackie is on the phone to a friend, "She turns up, no warning. I've got nothing in. I said, Rose, if you want a Christmas dinner of meat paste, then so be it."

Taxi...

"Get off the phone!" Rose said, annoyed.

"Who were those Santa things?" Mickey asked.

"I don't know."

"Neither do I." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "But let's recap what happened since we got here. Robotic Santa Clauses after us."

"What's important about us? Well, nothing, except the one thing we've got tucked up in bed. The Doctor." Rose said, agreeing with Weiss.

The Tyler's flat:bedroom...

"Oh, no. Don't come round, darling. No, flat's all topsy turvy. Yeah, she just barges in and litters the place. Yeah. No, I'll come round and see you on Boxing day." Jackie said, puts a mug of tea by the Doctor's bed and leaves.

More golden energy is exhaled.

The Tyler's flat...

Rose, Mickey, Weiss, Silica, and Jared burst in.

"So, save us a chipolata." Jackie said.

"Jackie, can you please get off the phone?" Silica asked, out of breath. "Please…"

"It's only Bev. She says hello." Jackie said, holding the landline phone.

"Bev?" Rose asked, ending the call Jackie had with Beverly. "Yeah. Look, it'll have to wait. Right, it's not safe. We've got to get out. Where can we go?"

"My mate Stan, he'll put us up." Mickey said, happily.

"That's only two blocks away." Jared said, pacing around the room. "They'll find us in an instant, Mickey."

"What about Mo? Where's she living now?" Rose asked, looking at Jackie.

"I don't know. Peak District." Jackie said, annoyed.

"Well, we'll go to cousin Mo's then."

"No, it's Christmas Eve! We're not going anywhere! What're you babbling about?"

"Um, Jackie." Silica said, looking at the Christmas tree that is now green. "Where did you get that tree? I don't remember you getting it."

"Silica's right, that's a new tree. Where'd you get it?" Rose asked, also looking at the Christmas tree.

"I thought it was you." Jackie said.

"How can it be me?"

"Well, you went shopping. There was a ring at the door, and there it was!"

"No, that wasn't me."

"Then it must be Weiss." Jackie said, looking at Weiss. "Your family is wealthy. They could buy something in an instant."

"They couldn't do that. Change a tree in a couple of hours." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "And it wasn't me."

"Then who was it?" Jackie asked, when the tree lights up by itself and starts playing Jingle Bells.

"Oh, you're kidding me." Rose said, as sections of the tree start to rotate in different directions, creating a strong wind.

"I don't want to die like this." Silica said, and the Christmas tree starts to move, chopping through a coffee table. "We have to do something…"

"Get out! Go, go! Get out!" Mickey said, picking up a chair to fend it off as Jackie, Rose, Jared, Silica, and Weiss run for the door.

"We've got to save the Doctor." Rose said.

"What're you doing?" Jackie asked.

"We can't just leave him."

"Mickey!" Jackie said, and the spinning tree shreds the chair legs. "Leave it! Get out! Get out!"

"Mickey!"

"Get out of there!"

The Tyler's flat:bedroom...

"No, leave him. Just leave him!" Jackie said, angrily.

"Get in here!" Mickey said, while Jackie entered the room.

"What's the plan?" Weiss asked, as the tree heads for them.

"We stop this tree with everything we've got." Jared said, and Silica, Jackie, and Mickey pulls a wardrobe across the door.

"Doctor, wake up!" Rose said, getting the sonic screwdriver from the jacket pocket and puts it in the Doctor's hand.

"I don't think yelling at him will help." Weiss said, and the tree smashes through the door.

"I'm going to get killed by a Christmas tree!" Jackie said, terrified.

Rose speaks into the Doctor's ear, "Help me."

The Doctor suddenly sits up, aims the screwdriver at the tree, and it explodes.

"Remote control. But who's controlling it?" The Doctor asked.

Outside the flat...

Dressing gown on, the Doctor leads the group of six out. Down on the ground, three Santa's gaze up, one holding a radio controller.

"That's them. What are they?" Mickey asked.

"Shush!" Rose said, as the Doctor aims the screwdriver at them and the Santa's back away.

"Wow…" Weiss said, and the robot santas are beamed away. "I never saw that coming."

"They've just gone. What kind of rubbish were they? I mean, no offence, but they're not much cop if a sonic screwdriver's going to scare them off." Mickey said, annoyed.

"Pilot fish." The Doctor said.

"What?" Rose asked, looking at the Doctor.

"They were just pilot fish." The Doctor said, as he is in pain.

"What's wrong?"

"You woke me up too soon. I'm still regenerating. I'm bursting with energy." The Doctor said, exhaling the golden energy. "You see? The pilot fish could smell it a million miles away. So they eliminate the defence, that's you lot, and they carry me off. They could run their batteries on me for a couple of...ow!"

"Oh! Oh! Oh!" Jackie said, happily.

"My head! I'm having a neuron implosion. I need…"

"What do you need?"

"I need…"

"Say it. Tell me, tell me, tell me."

"I need…"

"Painkillers?"

"I need…"

"Do you need aspirin?"

"I need…"

"Codeine? Paracetamol? Oh, I don't know, Pepto-Bismol?"

"I need…"

"Liquid paraffin. Vitamin C? Vitamin D? Vitamin E?"

"I need…"

"Is it food? Something simple. Bowl of soup. A nice bowl of soup? Soup and a sandwich? Soup and a little ham sandwich?"

"I need you to shut up."

"Oh, he hasn't changed that much, has he?" Jackie asked, looking at Rose.

"We haven't got much time. If there's pilot fish, then..." The Doctor said, taking an apple out of the robe. "Why's there an apple in my dressing gown?"

"Oh, that's Howard. Sorry." Jackie said, sadly.

"He keeps apples in his dressing gown?"

"He gets hungry."

"What, he gets hungry in his sleep?"

"Sometimes."

"Argh! Brain collapsing. The pilot fish. The pilot fish mean that something, something, something is coming." The Doctor said, passing out.

The Tyler's flat...

Rose puts the suffering Doctor back to bed and mops his brow.

Mickey has fetched his laptop, "Jackie, I'm using the phone line. Is that all right?"

"Yeah. Keep a count of it. It's midnight. Christmas day. Any change?" Jackie asked, looking over at Rose.

"He's worse. Just one heart beating." Rose said, sadly.

"Scientists in charge of Britain's mission to Mars have re-established contact with the Guinevere One space probe. They're expecting the first transmission from the planet's surface in the next few minutes." A reporter said, on TV.

"Yes, we are. We're, we're back on schedule. We've received the signal from Guinevere One. The Mars landing would seem to be an unqualified success." Llewellyn said, on TV.

"But is it true that you completely lost contact earlier tonight?" A man asked, on TV.

Press conference...

"Yes, we had a bit of a scare. Guinevere seemed to fall off the scope, but it, it was just a blip. Only disappeared for a few seconds." Llewellyn said.

The Tyler's flat...

"She is fine now, absolutely fine. We're getting the first pictures transmitted live any minute now. I'd better get back to it, thanks." Llewellyn said, on TV.

"Okay, so the news aren't being helpful." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "As usual."

"Yeah." Jared said, letting out a sigh. "They wouldn't be."

"So, did you get it?" Silica asked, looking at Mickey. "Is it up?"

"Here we go, pilot fish. Scavengers, like the Doctor said. Harmless. They're tiny. But the point is, the little fish swim alongside the big fish." Mickey said, loading up a video on his laptop.

"Do you mean like sharks?" Rose asked.

"Great big sharks. So, what the Doctor means is, we had them, now we get that."

"Something is coming. How close?"

"There's no way of telling, but the pilot fish don't swim far from their daddy."

"So, it's close?"

"Funny sort of rocks." Jackie said, looking at the TV.

"The first photographs…" The newsreader said, on TV.

"That's not rocks…" Rose said.

"I don't know, but it looks like something out of SAO." Silica said, frowning.

"This image is being transmitted via mission control, coming live from the depths of space on Christmas morning." The newsreader said, on TV.

It's an red-eyed ugly alien with a head like a goat's skull. It growls and gurgles at the screen.

"Oh my god!" Weiss said, shocked. "What was that?"

"What is that thing?" Silica asked, looking at Jared. "Do you know what that was? It looked a bit creepy."

"The face of an alien life form was transmitted live tonight on BBC1." The newsreader said, on TV.

"On the 25th of December, the human race has been shown absolute proof that alien life exists." Trinity Wells said, on TV.

"These remarkable images have been relayed right across the world." Newsreader 3 said, on TV.

The Tyler's flat:bedroom...

Jared and Silica are lying down on the floor, in front of the Doctor. The Time Lord is sleeping in the bed, still regenerating. The fan and the animal lover closed their eyes, the Augma headsets on their heads.

"Link. Start." Jared and Silica said at the same time.

(Jared's POV)

Kirito and Asuna's house…

"So, we're just hanging out in ALFheim online while there's an alien spaceship coming." Silica said, and Jared is playing on his Nintendo Switch. "You want some alone time. And some place to think."

"Well, yeah." Jared said, while Ruby appeared in the game. "Hey, Little Red."

"What game are you playing?" Ruby asked, walking up to Jared. "I figured you would be here. When you could stop that alien."

"It's boring knowing what's going on." Jared said, loading up Sword Art Online:Fatal Bullet on his Nintendo Switch. "Yes, I'm going on a nostalgia trip for you, Silica."

"Death Gun…" Silica said, sadly, watching Jared play the game. "Why?"

"Like I said, I'm bored ladies. The two of you are my favorite."

"What's the plan?" Ruby asked, looking at Jared. "Normally I would have one. But you left me behind at Beacon."

"I'll see you soon, I promise. Right now, I want time to fly by as quick as possible."

"We're in a virtual world." Silica said, smiling. "Time goes fast anyway."

"Yui. Can you load up the sensors from UNIT?"

"What for?" Yui asked, appearing in the room in her pixie form. "Want to track the spaceship heading towards Earth in 2006?"

"Yeah. I know Rose and Mickey are doing it too."

"Give me one moment." Yui said, happily. "What game are you playing?"

"Jared wanted to go on memory lane for us. The time we met Death Gun. He was just so scary to watch." Silica said, sadly.

"Hiding like this won't do good for us." Ruby said, frowning. "Or for anyone. You know what I think, you should go and help Rose and the Doctor."

"And die?" Jared asked, looking at Ruby. "No way!"

"You know that we'll win. And stop the aliens. You got this, I believe in you."

The Tyler's flat:bedroom…

"Jared and Silica are playing that game." Mickey said, walking into the bedroom, looking at Jared and Silica. "The game that won't come out for twenty years."

"Why?" Rose asked, looking at the two Augma headsets on Jared's head and Silica's head. "At a time like this?"

"I don't know. Maybe they want to think or something. One of them isn't acting their age."

"Shut up. This is Jared we're talking about here. And I'm already heaps worried about the Doctor. I just don't know if the Doctor is still the Doctor."

"Maybe we should take the headsets off them." Mickey said, walking over to Silica. "Get them back here."

"No." Rose said, slapping Mickey's hand away. "We can't. We don't even know how those things work."

"That means we don't have any other help."

"We don't." Weiss said, entering the bedroom. "The virtual world at a time like this? What a bunch of little kids."

"At least the three of them are safe." Rose said, smiling. "That's all that matters."

"I still think they should help." Mickey said, annoyed. "Jared and Silica."

"They should." Weiss said, agreeing with Mickey. "Jared has knowledge of the events of today."

"And the future, involving all of us."

"But he doesn't know the future when it comes to Kirito and the other SAO survivors." Rose said, looking between Weiss and Mickey. "He told me. Before we met them."

"Who?" Weiss asked, fixated at Jared.

"Kirito, Asuna, Lisbeth, Silica, Sinon, Yui, Yuuki, Klein, Agil, and Leefa."

"That is a mouthful. More so than Teams RWBY and JNPR."

"I know, right?"

Kirito and Asuna's house…

"You need to help them." Ruby said, looking at what Jared is doing. "They need you, I need you."

"I know." Jared said, excitedly. "At least I can see what's going on in the real world."

"Jared!" Yui said, standing on Jared's shoulder. "You have to help them."

"In a moment, Yui."

The Tyler's flat…

"Rose. Weiss. Take a look. I've got access to the military. They're tracking a spaceship. It's big, it's fast, and it's coming this way." Mickey said, looking at his laptop.

"Coming for what, though? The Doctor?" Rose asked.

"I don't know. Maybe it's coming for all of us." Mickey said, getting a clear image of four of the aliens. Jared has an even bigger picture of more of them in ALFheim online, thanks to Yui. "Have either of you seen them before?"

"No." Rose said.

"Jared has never mentioned them before." Weiss said, crossing her arms.

Kirito and Asuna's house…

The alien leader is speaking a softer version of Klingon.

"Yui, translate what is going on." Jared said, looking down at Kirito and Asuna's daughter. "The TARDIS can't translate for me right now."

"I think I can." Yui said, staring at the aliens on the holographic screen. "I don't know for sure."

The Tyler's flat…

"I don't understand what they're saying. The Tardis translates alien languages inside my head, inside Jared's, inside Team RWBY's, and inside Team JNPR's, all the time, wherever we are." Rose said, sadly.

"So, why isn't it doing it now?" Mickey asked, looking at Rose.

"I don't know. Must be the Doctor. Like he's part of the circuit, and he's, he's broken."

"And Jared should wake up. He is all the help we need." Weiss said, being all snarky. "Especially after that food fight."

"You had a food fight?" Mickey asked, laughing. "Who won?"

"Team RWBY. Team JNPR lost. They didn't stand a chance against us."

"And what did Jared do?" Rose asked.

"Oh, he was the commentator. He gave his opinions on what each of us did."

"He must have had fun."

"He did."

Kirito and Asuna's house…

"So, can you translate anything?" Jared asked, looking at the holographic screen on the wall near the living area.

"Not yet. Translating alien languages takes time." Yui said, frowning. "I'm doing it for us. For all of us."

"How long until the spaceship gets here?" Silica asked. "Is it far?"

"No. It's close. It's about 5 hours away from reaching Earth."

The Tyler's flat:bedroom…

"Despite claims of an alien hoax, it's been reported that NATO forces are on red alert." Trinity Wells said, on TV.

"Oh, come on, sweetheart. What do you need? What is it you need? Tell me." Jackie said, looking at Rose.

"Speaking strictly off the record, government sources are calling this our longest night." A newsreader said, on TV.

Kirito and Asuna's house…

"It's been a long night." Jared said, drinking a cup of coffee. "Harriet Jones must not be doing much."

"Harriet Jones?" Ruby asked, walking over to Jared. "The Prime Minister?"

"Yeah. Yui, patch me into the security cameras inside UNIT HQ."

"You've been demanding of me today." Yui said, loading up the security footage of the UNIT HQ. "Can I see mommy and daddy?"

"Knock yourself out, you've earned it." Jared said, happily.

Yui teleported out of the house, and Jared looked over at Silica and Ruby.

"The aliens, we don't know much about them." Silica said, sadly. "And it's Christmas Day."

UNIT HQ...

"I don't suppose we've had a Code Nine? No sign of the Doctor?" Harriet asked.

"Nothing yet. You've met him, haven't you? More like the stuff of legend." The major soldier said.

"He is that. Failing him, what about Torchwood?"

"I…"

"I know I'm not supposed to know about it, I realise that. Not even the United Nations knows. But if ever there was a need for Torchwood, it's now."

"I can't take responsibility."

"I can. See to it. Get them ready."

"Prime Minister." Alex said, looking at Harriet.

"Has it worked?" Harriet asked.

"Just about. People. That could be cattle. You belong to us. To the Sycorax. They seem to be called Sycorax, not Martians. We own you. We now possess your land, your minerals, your precious stones. You will surrender or they will die. Sycorax strong, Sycorax mighty, Sycorax rock, as in the modern sense, they rock." Alex said, reading the information on his tablet.

"They will die? Not you will die, they will die? Who's they?" Llewellyn asked.

"I don't know, but it is the right personal pronoun. It's they."

"Send them a reply. Tell them, this is a day of peace on planet Earth. Tell them, we extend that peace to the Sycorax. And then tell them, this planet is armed and we do not surrender." Harriet said.

"Come on." Sally said, walking away.

The Tyler's flat:bedroom...

Jackie has fallen asleep, while Jared and Silica wakes up by the Doctor's bedside.

"The Doctor wouldn't do this. The old Doctor, the proper Doctor, he'd wake up. He'd save us." Rose said, sadly.

"You really love him, don't you?" Mickey asked, and Rose turns to him for a hug.

The Tyler's flat…

"Yeah, I have a lot of explaining to do." Jared said, walking around the apartment with Silica and Weiss. "But it's a long story."

"You left me here wondering if you'll ever wake up with Silica." Weiss said, angrily, keeping up with Jared. "If Ruby and Kirito ever find out…"

"Ruby knows." Silica said, frowning.

"You are such an idiot!" Weiss said, looking straight at Jared. "Okay, what are the aliens up to?"

"They're gonna do something creepy." Jared said, walking towards the door. "Allons-y!"

Outside the flat...

A blank faced man is walking along outside the Tyler's flat.

"What is wrong with you? Jason? Jason?" Sandra asked, looking at her husband.

Rose, Mickey, Jared, Weiss, and Silica come out.

"Sandra?" Rose asked, looking at her neighbor.

"He won't listen. He's just walking. He won't stop walking! There's this sort of light thing. Jason? Stop it right now! Please, Jason, just stop." Sandra said, terrified.

Rose, Mickey, Jared, Weiss and Silica look down to see lots of people walking through the estate.

"Oh my god..." Silica said, holding Jared's hand. "Where are they going?"

"They're going somewhere." Jared said, walking back inside the Tyler family's apartment. "And I know where."

The Tyler's flat…

"You left us there to worry about the Doctor for a couple of hours." Weiss said, as Jared picked up the Monado. "For you to save the day."

"Oh, I'm not saving the day." Jared said, smiling. "I save that when I'm with you and the rest of Team RWBY."

"You also do it when you're with us defeating bosses!" Silica said, agreeing with Jared. "In ALO and GGO!"

Residential street…

"Alan, come on, now stop this. It's not funny anymore. Come on, Alan, come back inside the house. Katrine. Katrine, listen to mummy. You come back inside now. And you, Jonathan. You come back in with mummy. Jonathon, come back in with mummy. You're scaring me now! Come on! Alan, help me out here, please." A woman said.

Somewhere else, a policeman is reporting in.

"As far as I can tell, they're heading for any sort of high-rise building. Anything with stairs, anything with steps." A policeman said.

Staircase…

"They're going all the way up. They're going to the roof." Llewellyn said.

"Just making my way to the front of the building now. There's hundreds of them. Oh, God. They've gone right to the edge. They're going to jump. They're all going to jump!" The policeman said, terrified.

Tower rooftop…

"Sally, stop it. It's Danny Llewellyn. Daniel Llewellyn. Sally, just concentrate. Listen to me. You're being controlled. We need you! Stop it, Sally!" Llewellyn said, looking at his co-worker.

Flats rooftop…

"Jason, I'm talking to you! Just stop!" Sandra said, as the controlled people all line up along the edge of the roofs.

"I've got a bad feeling about this." Weiss said, looking at all of the controlled people.

"Me too." Silica said, nodding her head. "All of these people."

UNIT HQ…

"It's not just the whole country. It's the whole world." Alex said, while people are along the edge of the Coliseum, on apartment buildings.

Street level…

"They've stopped. They've all stopped. They're just standing there, right on the edge." The policeman said.

UNIT HQ…

"According to reports, it's like a third. One third of the world's population. That's two billion people ready to jump." Alex said.

Tower rooftop…

"Surrender or they will die." Llewellyn said.

Flats rooftop…

"What do we do?" Mickey asked, looking at Rose, Jared, Weiss, and Silica.

"Nothing. There's no one to save us. Not anymore." Rose said, sadly.

"Jared, you must have a plan." Weiss said, walking up to Jared. "I know you. You have a plan."

"I don't." Jared said, letting out a sigh. "One third of the world's population is up on buildings ready to jump. And their blood type...it's A Positive."

"What's so special about that blood type?"

"Nothing. But the probe...god, UNIT could be such idiots sometimes."

"So, what was in the probe?" Silica asked, looking at Jared. "You have to tell us, please."

"Oh, it has everything you need about Earth. Maps, music, samples. Wheat seeds, water, and A Positive blood."

"So we're stuck here." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "On Earth. Or we can go to ALFheim online."

"Basically."

"Ooo, I call ALFheim online!" Silica said, excitedly. "I want to be with Pina!"

Tyler's flat…

"So, you two want to go to the virtual world again." Weiss said, looking between Jared and Silica. "While a third of the whole world is up on rooftops."

"Pretty much." Jared said, smiling. "I like that."

"Me too." Silica said, happily. "I want to be with Pina."

"Even though you saw that dragon of yours a couple of minutes ago." Weiss said, annoyed.

"Pina is cute."

"Yeah, as cute as my dog." Jared said, laughing a lot. "Traveling with the Doctor, I love it."

"Of course you do." Weiss said, angrily. "What happens now?"

"Something big, unless I'm not remembering something."

Studio…

With Union flags draped either side, Harriet Jones, PM, sits in a panelled room at a desk with a photograph of Her Majesty on it for her broadcast to the nation.

"Ladies and gentlemen, if I may take a moment during this terrible time. It's hardly the Queen's speech. I'm afraid that's been cancelled." Harriet said, looking at an aide. "Did we ask about the royal family? Oh. They're on the roof."

The Tyler's flat...

"But, ladies and gentlemen, this crisis is unique, and I'm afraid to say, it might get much worse. I would ask you all to remain calm. But I have one request. Doctor, if you're out there, we need you. I don't know what to do. If you can hear me, Doctor. If anyone knows the Doctor, if anyone can find him, the situation has never been more desperate. Help us. Please, Doctor. Help us. God help us." Harriet said, on TV.

Rose bursts into tears, "He's gone. The Doctor's gone. He's left me, mum. He's left me, mum."

"It's all right. I'm sorry." Jackie said, comforting Rose.

Suddenly, all the glass in the block of flats shatters. St Mary Axe also shatters, indicating that it is at least city-wide.

"What was that?" Weiss asked, drinking a cup of tea.

"It's a sonic wave." Jared said, standing up from where he is sitting to grab the Monado. "The Sycorax spaceship has it the atmosphere!"

All the non-possessed people turn to look. Rose, Mickey, Jared, Weiss, and Silica go outside amongst the glass shards to watch this big powered rock with nasty pointy bits glide overhead, as big as Westminster.

Outside the flat…

"Okay, that looks bad." Silica said, petting Pina on her shoulder. "How can we stop something like that?"

"We can't." Jared said, looking at Weiss and Silica. "I'm useless here."

The Tyler's flat:bedroom...

"Mickey, Jared, Weiss, Silica, we're going to carry him. Mum, get your stuff, and get some food. We're going." Rose said, entering the bedroom with Mickey, Jared, Weiss, and Silica.

"Where to?" Mickey asked.

"We're going to the TARDIS." Weiss said, understanding what Rose is thinking about. "It's the safest place on Earth. Well, in the universe."

"What're we going to do in there?" Jackie asked, looking at her daughter and the ice queen.

"We're gonna hide in there." Silica said, smiling. "Like how Jared was hiding it out in ALFheim online."

"Is that it?"

"Mum, look in the sky. There's a great, big, alien invasion and we don't know what to do, all right? We've travelled with him, and we've seen all that stuff, but when we're stuck at home, we're useless. Now, all we can do is run and hide, and I'm sorry. Now, move. Oh, lift him up." Rose said, looking at Mickey.

The Tyler's flat…

"I can't believe you've been hiding out in Kirito and Asuna's house." Weiss said, when Jared went back to drinking his cup of tea. "Their log cabin in Floor 22."

"What else am I supposed to do?" Jared asked, looking at Weiss. "Fight aliens with the Monado?"

"Your weapon is a sword."

"A cool, futuristic sword!" Silica said, smiling. "But it would be wrong to have it in the wrong hands."

"Which is why I don't use it often." Jared said, standing up.

"Even though you do like to show it off." Weiss said. "So, what's the plan besides hiding?"

"I've got nothing."

"You always have a plan." Silica said, frowning. "Why not now?"

"Argh! I just can't think!"

"It's okay. You will think of something. I know you can! We believe in you!"

Outside the flat...

Rose and Mickey carry the Doctor while Jackie struggles with half a dozen carrier bags.

"Mum, will you just leave that stuff and give us a hand?" Rose asked, looking at Jackie.

"It's food! You said we need food." Jackie said, recalling what Rose said.

"Just leave it!"

Powell Estate…

"You are unbelievable." Weiss said, when Jared is walking next to Silica. "Not even helping out Jackie, not helping out Rose and Mickey. What are you waiting for?"

"Tea." Jared said, drinking his cup of tea. "For someone. Not me."

"He means it's to heal…" Silica said, holding Jared's hand. "What was the word again?"

"Synapses."

"That's it! Synapses!"

"Unbelievable." Weiss said, rolling her eyes. "You two..."

"That's us." Silica said, laughing. "So, can do some shopping later?"

"More like watch you sing." Jared said, laughing along with Silica.

"I can't believe you and Rika have that as blackmail."

Tardis...

"No chance you could fly this thing?" Mickey asked, looking at Rose.

"Not anymore, no." Rose said, sadly.

"Well, you did it before."

"I know, but it's sort of been wiped out of my head, like it's forbidden. Try that again and I think the Universe rips in half."

"Ah, better not, then."

"Maybe not."

"So, what do we do? Just sit here?"

"That's as good as it gets."

"Right, here we go. Nice cup of tea." Jackie said, as she brought a flask.

"Mmm, the solution to everything." Rose said, annoyed.

"Now, stop your moaning. I'll get the rest of the food." Jackie said, leaving the TARDIS console room.

"Tea. Like we're having a picnic while the world comes to an end. Very British. How does this thing work? If it picks up TV, maybe we could see what's going on out there. Maybe we've surrendered. What do you do to it?" Mickey asked, looking at Rose.

"I don't know. It sort of tunes itself." Rose said.

"You don't know what to do next." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "The both of you."

"Jared is as amazing as Kirito." Silica said, happily. "Because they're good people."

"We know." Jared said, nodding his head. "We are fantastic."

Powell Estate...

"Rose?" Jackie asked, when the Tardis is beamed up. "Rose!"

Tardis...

There's an odd pattern on the scanner.

"Maybe it's a distress signal." Mickey said.

"A fat lot of good that's going to do." Rose said, annoyed.

"Are you going to be a misery all the time?"

"Yes."

"You should look at it from my point of view, stuck in here with your mum's cooking."

"Where is she? I'd better give her a hand. It might start raining missiles out there."

"Tell her anything from a tin, that's fine."

"Why don't you tell her yourself?"

"I'm not that brave."

"Oh, I don't know." Rose said, looking over at Silica. "Silica, help me out."

"Okay." Silica said, exiting the TARDIS with Rose and the two girls are grabbed by a Sycorax.

Rose and Silica scream.

"Rose?" Mickey asked, dropping the open flask of tea near where the Doctor is lying. "Come on!"

"Just what we need." Weiss said, holding her Myrtenaster. "Those two getting into trouble."

"Yeah." Jared said, looking down at his Monado. "We'll save them."

(Jared's POV)

Spaceship…

"Get off! Get off me!" Rose said, angrily.

"Let me go!" Silica said, trying to break free of the Sycorax's grip who has her and Rose. "Please!"

"Silica!" I said, as I exited the TARDIS with Mickey and Weiss.

"The door! Close the door!" Rose said, and I got to the door just before a Sycorax.

"I'm sorry about that." I said, and the tea drips down onto Tardis workings underneath the time console. "I've got you, sorry about that."

"I'm fine." Silica said, smiling. "I knew you would come back. To help me. Just like Kirito does."

The Sycorax cheer.

"Rose. Rose! I've got you. My Lord. Oh, my precious thing. The Doctor, is he with you and Jared?" Harriet asked, looking at Rose.

"No. We're on our own." Rose said, and tea vapour rises through the floor grating and the Doctor breaths it in, exhaling more golden energy.

"The yellow girl. She has the clever blue box. Therefore, she speaks for your planet." Alex said, reading the translation off his tablet.

"But she can't." Harriet said.

"Yeah, I can." Rose said, determined.

"Don't you dare." Mickey said.

"What are you doing?" Weiss asked, looking at Rose. "You're gonna get hurt!"

"Someone's got to be the Doctor." Rose said, reassuring Weiss and Mickey.

"They'll kill you." Harriet said.

"Never stopped him. I, er, I address the Sycorax according to Article Fifteen of the Shadow Proclamation. I command you to leave this world with all the authority of the Slitheen Parliament of Raxacoricofallapatorius, and er, the Gelth Confederacy as er, sanctioned by the Mighty Jagrafess and, oh, the Daleks! Now, leave this planet in peace! In peace." Rose said, coming up with a ridiculous speech.

"Did she just recap all of the adventures we had?" Weiss asked, as the Sycorax all burst into laughter.

"I thought she was pretty good." Silica said, excitedly. "She could do that again!"

"Don't touch her!" Mickey said, angrily.

"Leave her alone." I said, looking at the leader of the Sycorax. "You're not laying a hand on my Bad Wolf girl!"

Harriet and Mickey are held back as the leader walks up to Rose.

"Did you think you were clever with your stolen words? We are the Sycorax, we stride the darkness. Next to us you are but a wailing child. If you are the best your planet can offer as a champion…" Alex said, reading off his tablet.

"Then your world will be gutted…" The Sycorax leader said.

"Then your world will be gutted…"

"And your people enslaved."

"Hold on, that's English."

"He's talking English." Harriet said.

"You're talking English." Rose said, looking at the Sycorax leader.

"I would never dirty my tongue with your primitive bile." The Sycorax leader said.

"That's English. Can you hear English?" Rose asked, looking at the rest of us.

"Yeah, that's English." Mickey said, nodding his head.

"Definitely English." I said, laughing a lot. "Do you hear English, ice queen?"

"Yes, I do." Weiss said, looking at me. "I hear English coming out of the alien."

"And Silica, do you hear English?"

"Yes, I do." Silica said, happily. "Even if I am Japanese."

"I speak only Sycoraxic!" The Sycorax leader said, angrily.

"If we can hear English, then it's being translated. Which means it's working. Which means…" Rose said, and we all turn to look at the Tardis.

The Doctor opens the doors, "Did you miss me?" The Sycorax cracks his whip. The Time Lord catches the end and pulls it out of his hand. "You could have someone's eye out with that. And it wasn't Blake's Gambol Shroud."

"How dare!" The Sycorax leader said, annoyed.

The Doctor takes a thick club off another Sycorax and breaks it across his knee.

"You just can't get the staff. Especially if it wasn't Ruyi Bang and Jingu Bang! Now, you, just wait. I'm busy. Mickey, Silica, Weiss, hello! And Harriet Jones MP for Flydale North. Blimey, it's like This Is Your Life. Tea! That's all I needed, a good cup of tea! Superheated infusion of free radicals and tannin. Just the thing for healing the synapses. Now, first thing's first. Be honest, how do I look?" The Doctor asked, walking around the room before stopping at Rose.

"Er, different." Rose said.

"Good different or bad different?"

"Just different."

"Am I ginger?"

"No, you're just sort of brown."

"I wanted to be ginger. I've never been ginger. And you, Rose Tyler, fat lot of good you were. You and Jared gave up on me. Oh, that's rude. That's the sort of man I am now, am I? Rude. Rude and not ginger."

"I'm sorry. Who is this?" Harriet asked, looking at us.

"I'm the Doctor." The Doctor said, smiling.

"He's the Doctor." Rose said.

"Not as wonderful as my Doctor." I said, laughing a lot. "But this one will do."

"But what happened to my Doctor? Or is it a title that's just passed on?" Harriet asked, looking at us.

"I'm him. I'm literally him. Same man, new face. Well, new everything." The Doctor said.

"So, those two will catch up for a while." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "We have the Doctor back. But I don't believe it's him."

"It is him, Weiss." I said, happily. "I know every single face of his."

"You also know every single one of my adventures." Silica said, looking at me. "Right?"

"Uh…" I said, rubbing the back of my head.

"Did they not get animated yet?"

"Nope. I got here before Season 3 started airing."

"You don't know my future. That's a shame."

"Yeah. At least we have a lot more to look forward to. Extra adventures!"

"Yes, we do!"

"I demand to know who you are!" The Sycorax leader said, angrily.

"I don't know! See, there's the thing. I'm the Doctor, but beyond that, I just don't know. I literally do not know who I am. It's all untested. Am I funny? Am I sarcastic? Sexy? Right old misery? Life and soul? Right handed? Left handed? A gambler? A fighter? A coward? A traitor? A liar? A nervous wreck? I mean, judging by the evidence, I've certainly got a gob. And how am I going to react when I see this, a great big threatening button. A great big threatening button which must not be pressed under any circumstances, am I right? Let me guess. It's some sort of control matrix, hmm? Hold on, what's feeding it?" The Doctor asked, opening the base of the pillar under the button. "And what've we got here? Blood? Yeah, definitely blood. Human blood. A Positive, with just a dash of iron. Ah, but that means blood control. Blood control! Oh, I haven't seen blood control for years. You're controlling all the A Positives. Which leaves us with a great big stinking problem. Because I really don't know who I am. I don't know when to stop. So if I see a great big threatening button which should never, ever, ever be pressed, then I just want to do this."

The Doctor hits the button.

"No!" Rose, Harriet, Weiss, and Silica said at the same time.

"The Doctor wouldn't have done that." Weiss said, looking at Jared. "The one with the big ears."

"He has great hair." Silica said, smiling. "Some really great hair."

"You killed them!" Alex said, angrily

"What do you think, big fellow? Are they dead?" The Doctor asked, looking at the Sycorax leader.

"We allow them to live." The Sycorax leader said.

"Allow? You've no choice. I mean, that's all blood control is. A cheap bit of voodoo. Scares the pants off you, but that's as far as it goes. It's like hypnosis. You can hypnotise someone to walk like a chicken or sing like Elvis. You can't hypnotise them to death. Survival instinct's too strong."

"Blood control was just one form of conquest. I can summon the armada and take this world by force."

"Well, yeah, you could, yeah, you could do that, of course you could. But why? Look at these people. These human beings. Consider their potential. From the day they arrive on the planet and blinking step into the sun, there is more to see than can ever be seen. More to do than…."

"Doctor…" Silica said, frowning. "That's the Lion King! I love that film. And that quote."

"Me too." The Doctor said, as Silica nodded her head. "But the point still stands. Leave them alone!"

"Or what?" The Sycorax leader asked.

"Or…" The Doctor said, taking a sword from an aide and runs back towards the Tardis. "I challenge you." General laughter is heard all around the spaceship. "Oh, that struck a chord. Am I right that the sanctified rules of combat still apply?"

"You stand as this world's champion."

"Thank you. I've no idea who I am, but you just summed me up." The Doctor said, throwing his dressing gown to Rose. "So, you accept my challenge? Or are you just a cranak pel casacree salvak?"

"Oh, I think he just made him angry." Weiss said, observing what is happening. "Can I get in there?"

"Nope." I said, as the Doctor's insult makes up the Sycorax leader's mind. "I'm sorry. But I don't want to lose you."

"For the planet?" The Sycorax leader asked, looking at the Doctor.

"For the planet." The Doctor said, clashing swords with the Sycorax leader.

"Look out!" Silica said, worried about what will happen to the Doctor.

"Oh, yeah, that helps. Wouldn't have thought of that otherwise, thanks." The Doctor said, while the Sycorax leader is the more experienced swordsman. The Time Lord retreats up a tunnel. "Bit of fresh air?"

Spaceship hull...

And out into the day light. The Doctor is driven back to the edge, and hit on the nose.

"Stay back! Invalidate the challenge and he wins the planet." The Doctor said, as the Sycorax leader knocks him down then slashes. The sword and a hand fall to Earth. "You cut my hand off."

"Ya! Sycorax!" The Sycorax leader said, happily.

"And now I know what sort of man I am. I'm lucky. Because quite by chance I'm still within the first fifteen hours of my regeneration cycle, which means I've got just enough residual cellular energy to do this." The Doctor said, growing a new hand.

"Witchcraft."

"Time Lord."

"Doctor!" Rose said, as Weiss tossed the Doctor her Myrtenaster. "Here's something from the ice queen!"

"Oh, so I'm still the Doctor, then?" The Doctor asked, wanting an answer from Rose.

"No arguments from me! And nice toss, Weiss." Rose said, looking back at Weiss.

"Well, I didn't want to see what happens if we lost." Weiss said. "I need my Myrtenaster back later!"

"Want to know the best bit? This new hand? It's a fighting hand!" The Doctor said, fighting the Sycorax leader again.

"Wow." Silica said, and the Doctor disarms the Sycorax and thumps both hilts into it's abdomen, twice. "He's as good as Kirito and Asuna!"

"But not as badass." I said, and it falls, right on the edge, overlooking London. "Just saying that was cool to watch in person."

"I win." The Doctor said, holding the Myrtenaster in front of the Sycorax leader's throat.

"Then kill me." The Sycorax leader said.

"I'll spare your life if you'll take this Champion's command. Leave this planet, and never return. What do you say?"

"Yes."

"Swear on the blood of your species."

"I swear."

"There we are, then. Thanks for that." The Doctor said, tossing the Myrtenaster back to Weiss Schnee, who puts her sword back in its holder. "Cheers, big fellow."

"Bravo!" Harriet said, excitedly.

"That says it all. Bravo!" Rose said, as she and Silica are clapping.

"Ah, not bad for a man in his jim-jams." The Doctor said, while Rose helps him on with the dressing gown. "Very Arthur Dent. Now, there was a nice man. Hold on, what have I got in here? A satsuma. Ah, that friend of your mothers. He does like his snacks doesn't he? But doesn't that just sum up Christmas? You go through all those presents and right at the end, tucked away at the bottom, there's always one stupid old satsuma. Who wants a satsuma?"

The Sycorax leader gets up, grabs his sword and runs at the Doctor's back.

The Doctor throws the satsuma at a control on the spaceship hull, a piece of the wing opens up and the leader falls to his death, "No second chances. I'm that sort of a man."

Spaceship...

"By the ancient rites of combat, I forbid you to scavenge here for the rest of time. And when go you back to the stars and tell others of this planet, when you tell them of it's riches, it's people, it's potential. When you talk of the Earth, then make sure that you tell them this. It is defended." The Doctor said, looking at all of the Sycorax.

The Tardis, Harriet, Alex, Rose, Mickey, Weiss, Silica, the Doctor, and I are beamed away.

(Open POV)

Road...

"Where are we?" Silica asked, looking at her surroundings.

"We're just off Bloxom Road. We're just round the corner, we did it!" Mickey said, happily.

"Wait a minute, wait a minute." The Doctor said, as the spaceship flies away.

"Go on, my son! Oh, yeah!"

"Yeah! Don't come back!" Rose said, laughing.

"It is defended!" Mickey said, hugging Rose.

"By the Doctor, Team RWBY, Team JNPR, the SAO survivors, and me!" Jared said, as Rose and Silica ran up to him for a hug. "This planet will be defended across all of time and space!"

"My Doctor." Harriet said.

"Prime Minister." The Doctor said, hugging Harriet.

"Absolutely the same man. Are there many more out there?"

"Oh, not just Sycorax. Hundreds of species. Thousands of them. And the human race is drawing attention to itself. Every day you're sending out probes and messages and signals. This planet's so noisy. You're getting noticed more and more. You'd better get used to it."

"Rose!" Jackie said, running up to her daughter.

"Mum!" Rose said, excitedly.

"Oh, talking of trouble." The Doctor said, annoyed.

"So, we beat the Sycorax then." Weiss said, as Alex answers a phone call. "We won on Christmas Day."

"Yup." Jared said, smiling. "We did. I am happy about that too. We get ourselves a happy ending, ice queen."

"I am not an ice queen!" Weiss said, angrily.

"You kinda are." Silica said, happily. "What's the plan after this?"

"Oh, I don't know." Jared said, looking between Weiss and Silica. "Christmas Dinner at the Tylers'?"

"I love Christmas!" Silica said, nodding her head. "Especially all of the toys you get!"

"I am not spending Christmas with the Tylers'!" Weiss said, looking back at Rose and Jackie. "Especially Jackie's cooking…"

"Well, I am your only way home." Jared said, giving Silica a hug. "And Silica's too."

"It's a message from Torchwood. They say they're ready." Alex said, walking over to Harriet.

"You and Silica are such children." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "Why not act your age?"

"Says the one who acts like a brat." Jared said, laughing a lot. "It only took awhile for you to open up to us."

"Maybe because you have the dimension jump."

"Tell them to fire." Harriet said.

"Fire at will." Alex said.

Five green beams streak up into the sky, meet and fire out into space. The Sycorax asteroid ship goes KaBOOM!

"What is that? What's happening?" Rose asked, as she is at a loss for words.

"That was murder." The Doctor said, walking up to Harriet.

"That was defence. It's adapted from alien technology. A ship that fell to Earth ten years ago." Harriet said.

But they were leaving."

"You said yourself, Doctor, they'd go back to the stars and tell others about the Earth. I'm sorry, Doctor, but you're not here all the time. You come and go. It happened today. Mister Llewellyn and the Major, they were murdered. They died right in front of me while you were sleeping. In which case we have to defend ourselves."

"Britain's Golden Age."

"It comes with a price."

"I gave them the wrong warning. I should've told them to run as fast as they can, run and hide because the monsters are coming. The human race."

"Those are the people I represent. I did it on their behalf."

"Then I should have stopped you."

"What does that make you, Doctor? Another alien threat?"

"Don't challenge me, Harriet Jones, because I'm a completely new man. I could bring down your Government with a single word." The Doctor said, angrily.

"You're the most remarkable man I've ever met, but I don't think you're quite capable of that." Harriet said.

"No, you're right. Not a single word, just six."

"I don't think so."

"Six words."

"Stop it!"

"Six." The Doctor said, going over to Alex and whispers in his ear. "Don't you think she looks tired?"

"Come on, Weiss, Silica." Jared said, walking away with Weiss and Silica. "Time for Christmas dinner."

"And opening presents too!" Silica said, with the Doctor, Rose, Mickey, and Jackie walking behind them. "A Pina plush would be so cute!"

"What did he say?" Harriet asked, looking at Alex.

"Oh, well, nothing, really." Alex said.

"What did he say?"

"Nothing. I don't know."

"Doctor! Doctor, what did you...? What was that? What did he say? What did you say, Doctor? Doctor! I'm sorry."

TARDIS wardrobe…

"You picking a new outfit." Weiss said, watching the Doctor picking himself a new outfit and considers David's Casanova costume. "I don't like that one."

"Neither do I." The Doctor said, looking back at Weiss. "Why are you watching me?"

"Because Jared told me to keep an eye on you."

Tyler flat...

"Time for some music." Jared said, taking out his Beats pill and played a song on Spotify. "Listen to this."

Jared played Song For Ten by Murray Gold sung by Tim Phillips.

"When I woke up today and the world seemed a restless place, it could have been that way for me." The singer said.

"This Christmas dinner is good." Silica said, enjoying the Christmas dinner with Jared, Mickey, Rose, and Jackie. "I like it."

"Nothing like my home cooking." Jackie said, as Mickey carves the turkey. "Do you like it Jared?"

"It's not bad." Jared said, smiling. "I've never had a British Christmas dinner before."

"Then I wandered around and I thought of your face that Christmas looking back at me." The singer said.

TARDIS wardrobe...

"Go with that one." Weiss said, while the Doctor finds a brown pinstripe suit and long brown coat. "Even if it makes you look like a businessman. It's not my outfit."

"You chose to wear a combat skirt." The Doctor said, leaving the wardrobe with Weiss past the old hat stand with a long scarf on it.

Tyler flat...

"I wish today was just like every other day. Cause today has been the best day." The singer said, and the Doctor is back to a nice suit and tie after his recent aberration. "Everything I ever dreamed. Then I started to walk, pretty soon I will run. And I'll be running back to you. Because I followed my star, and that's what you are. I've had a merry time with you."

The Doctor enters with Weiss, "Hi."

"Hi." Rose said, looking up at the Doctor. "Want to join us?"

"I will." The Doctor said, walking up to Rose.

The dinner progresses to the crackers.

"I wish today was just like every other day." The singer said.

"Oh, that's yours." The Doctor said, passing the Christmas hat to Rose.

"It's pink! Mum, it should be yours. Look, it's Harriet Jones." Rose said, looking at the TV.

"Ooo, I forgot about the news." Jared said, placing a blue Christmas hat on Silica's head. "I really did."

"Prime Minister, is it true you are no longer fit to be in position?" A man asked, on TV.

"No. Now, can we talk about other things?" Harriet asked, on TV.

"Is it true you're unfit for office?"

The Doctor puts on a pair of spectacles to watch the interview.

"Look, there is nothing wrong with my health. I don't know where these stories are coming from. And a vote of no confidence is completely unjustified."

"Are you going to resign?"

The telephone rings.

"On today of all days, I'm fine. Look at me, I'm fine. I look fine, I feel fine."

"It's Beth. She says go and look outside." Jackie said, holding the landline phone.

"Why?" Rose asked.

"I don't know, just go outside and look. Come on, shift!"

Powell Estate…

The ground is covered with white flakes falling from the sky. Streaks of light cris-cross the sky.

"Oh, my god!" Silica said, excitedly, as she picked up a snowball. "You ready?"

"You're on!" Jared said, making a snowball and he tossed it at Weiss. "Let's have some fun, you two!"

"Oh, it's beautiful. What are they, meteors?" Rose asked, looking at the sky.

"It's the spaceship breaking up in the atmosphere. This isn't snow, it's ash." The Doctor said.

"Okay, not so beautiful."

"Ash, gross!" Silica said, dropping the snowball she made on the ground. "I didn't know that is ash."

"Neither did I." Weiss said, walking up to the Doctor. "I have Ash on my combat skirt. Earth feels different somehow."

"It should, Weiss. this is a brand new planet Earth. No denying the existence of aliens now. Everyone saw it. Everything's new." The Doctor said.

"And what about you? What are you going to do next?" Rose asked.

"Well, back to the Tardis. Same old life."

"On your own?"

"Why, don't you want to come?"

"Well, yeah."

"Do you, though?"

"Yeah!"

"I just thought, 'cos I changed."

"Yeah, I thought, 'cos you changed you might not want me anymore."

"Oh, I'd love you to come…"

"Okay."

"How about you Jared, do you want to come?" The Doctor asked, looking at Jared.

"Yeah, I do." Jared said, happily. "Why would I not to?"

"I know Team RWBY, Team JNPR, and the SAO survivors want to come too."

"You're right!" Silica said, smiling. "We do."

"I can't believe I'm saying this." Weiss said, crossing her arms. "Yes, I want to come."

"You're never going to stay, are you?" Mickey asked, wanting an answer from Rose.

"There's just so much out there. So much to see. I've got to." Rose said, sadly.

"Yeah."

"Well, I reckon you're mad, the lot of you. It's like you go looking for trouble." Jackie said, angrily.

"Trouble's just the bits in-between. It's all waiting out there, Jackie, and it's brand new to me. All those planets, and creatures and horizons. I haven't seen them yet! Not with these eyes. And it is going to be fantastic." The Doctor said, holding out his hand to Rose.

"That hand of yours still gives me the creeps." Rose said, taking hold of the Doctor's hand anyway. "So, where're we going to go first?"

"Er, that way. No, hold on. That way." The Doctor said, pointing a finger up at the sky.

"That way?"

"Hmm?"

"Yeah, that way."
