Adipose Industries…
The Doctor, Jared, Yuuki, Sachi, and Donna, walk along different streets to the same glass fronted building.
Donna and Sachi goes into the main reception whilst the Doctor sonics his way in through a rear fire escape with Jared and Yuuki.
"Good morning, Adipose Industries." The receptionist said.
Donna shows an ID to the guard at the lifts, "Donna and Sachi, Health and Safety."
Basement…
The Doctor flashes his psychic paper at a guard he passes with Jared and Yuuki, "John Smith, Jared Shay, and Yuuki Konno, Health and Safety."
Lecture hall…
A woman is giving a presentation to an audience of several dozen.
"Adipose Industries, the twenty first century way to lose weight. No exercise, no diet, no pain. Just lifelong freedom from fat. The Holy Grail of the modern age. And here it is. You just take one capsule. One capsule, once a day for three weeks, and the fat, as they say." Foster said, as the film takes over.
"The fat just walks away." The narrator said.
A woman in the audience speaks.
"Excuse me, Miss Foster. If I could? I'm Penny Carter, science correspondent for The Observer. There are a thousand diet pills on the market, a thousand con men stealing people's money. How do we know the fat isn't going straight into your bank account?" Penny asked.
"Oh, Penny, if cynicism burnt up calories, we'd all be as thin as rakes. But if you want the science, I can oblige." Foster said, and Donna and Sachi are also in the audience.
"Adipose Industries. The Adipose capsule is composed of a synthesised mobilising lipase, bound to a large protein molecule." The narrator said.
Projection room…
This is where the Doctor, Jared, and Yuuki are watching the presentation.
"The mobilising lipase breaks up the triglycerides stored in the adipose cells, which then enter…" The computer said.
"Health and Safety. Film department." The Doctor said.
Lecture hall…
"One hundred percent legal, one hundred percent effective." Foster said.
"But, can I just ask, how many people have taken the pills to date?" Penny asked.
"We've already got one million customers within the Greater London area alone, but from next week, we start rolling out nationwide. The future starts here. And Britain will be thin."
Call centre…
"An office…" Yuuki said, looking around people doing some cold calling. "How boring…"
"Good morning. I represent Adipose Industries." People said, on different phones.
Donna and Sachi sits down next to a man in a cubicle.
"That's a three week course of pills for a special price of forty five pounds." Craig said.
"Donna, Sachi, Health and Safety. Don't mind us." Donna said, with Sachi next to her.
The Doctor, Jared, and Yuuki finds a young woman.
"We deliver within three working days." Clare said.
"John Smith, Jared Shay, and Yuuki Konno, Health and Safety. Don't mind us." The Doctor said.
"The box comes with 21 days worth of pills, a full information pack, and our special free gift, an Adipose Industries pendant." Craig said.
"That's a cute pendant." Sachi said, as she and Donna looked at the pendant...a gold plated Adpiose pill.
The Doctor, Jared, and Yuuki does the same.
"Why is the pendant gold?" Yuuki asked, looking at the pendant.
"It's made of eighteen carat gold, and it's yours for free. No, we don't give away pens, sorry. No, I can't make an exception, no." Clare said.
"We'll just need to keep this for testing. And we just need a list of your customers. Could you print it off?" Donna asked, looking at Sachi.
"I suppose so." Craig said.
"So, where's the printer?" Sachi asked.
"Just over there, by the plant." Craig said.
Donna and Sachi looks of the cubicle wall.
"Which plant, that plant?�� Donna asked.
"Yeah, that's the one." Craig said.
"That's a lovely plant." Sachi said.
Donna and Sachi sit down, and up pops the Doctor, Jared, and Yuuki.
"Wow, that's the printer." Yuuki said. "Is that the one you're talking about?"
"By the plant, yeah." Clare said.
"Now that's cool." Jared said, taking out a bottle of milk tea.
Down they go and up comes Donna and Sachi.
"Does it need a code? Last place I worked, the printer needed a code." Donna said.
"No, I can do it from here." Craig said.
They swap over.
"Does the printer have paper?" Yuuki asked.
"Yeah, Jimbo keeps it stocked." Clare said.
Miss Foster walks in with two guards, "Excuse me, everyone, if I could have your attention."
The workers stand.
"On average, you're each selling forty Adipose packs per day. It's not enough. I want one hundred sales per person per day. And if not, you'll be replaced. Because if anyone's good in trimming the fat, it's me. Now. Back to it." Foster said, leaving the room.
"That's a big workload." Jared said, as the workers sit down again.
"Anyway, if you could print that off. Thanks." The Doctor said.
"So if you could just print off that list, we'll get out of your way. Lovely. Thanks, then. See you." Donna said.
Donna and Sachi head for the printer. The Doctor stands then sits again as Clare gives him a piece of paper.
"So, what are we gonna do now?" Yuuki asked.
"How about we go to the beach?" Jared asked, happily.
"The beach? What are we gonna do?"
"Volleyball?"
"Yeah."
Donna collects the printouts and leaves with Sachi. The Doctor walks behind her to the printer with Jared and Yuuki and looks for their copies, then returns to Clare.
"Us again." The Doctor said.
Stacy's home...
"Stacy Campbell?" Sachi asked.
"Who wants to know?" Stacy asked.
"Our names are Donna and Sachi. We represent Adipose Industries, and you're on the list of our valued customers." Donna said, taking out the ID.
Roger's home…
"Mister Roger Davey? We're calling on behalf of Adipose Industries. Just need to ask you a few questions." The Doctor said, taking out the psychic paper.
Stacy's home…
"It's been fantastic. I've started the pills on Thursday. Five days later, I've lost eleven pounds." Stacy said.
"And you didn't feel any side effects?" Sachi asked.
"No, I feel fantastic. It's a new lease of life. Now, what do you think about these earrings. Do they work?"
"Yeah, lovely." Donna said.
Roger's home…
"I've been on the pills for two weeks now. I've lost fourteen kilos." Roger said.
"And you do that amount every day?" Jared asked.
"One kilo exactly. You wake up, and it's disappeared overnight. Well, technically speaking, it's gone by ten past one in the morning." Roger said.
"What makes you say that?" Yuuki asked.
"That's when I get woken up. Might as well weigh myself at the same time."
Stacy's home…
"Um, are you going out on a date?" Sachi asked.
"I'm doing the opposite. I'm dumping him. I can do better than him now. Right, I won't be long. If the taxi beeps, give me a shout." Stacy said.
Roger's home…
"It is driving me mad. Ten minutes past one, every night, bang on the dot without fail, the burglar alarm goes off. I've had experts in, I've had it replaced, I've even phoned Watchdog. But no, ten past one in the morning, off it goes." Roger said.
"With no burglars?" Jared asked. "When the alarm keeps going off."
"Nothing. I've given up looking."
"Tell me, Roger. Have you got a cat flap?" The Doctor asked.
Jared took out his phone and loaded up Spotify to see if the Love Live soundtracks have been uploaded, "Yes! Thank you! Finally!"
"Jared, that's ten years too early." Yuuki said, as she dragged Jared to the cat flap. "Put that away."
"It was here when I bought the house. I've never bothered with it, really. I'm not a cat person." Roger said.
"No, we've met cat people. You're nothing like them." The Doctor said, looking back at Jared who's skipping around the room.
"It's that what it is, though? Cats getting inside the house?"
"Well, there's a thing about cat flaps." Yuuki said. "They don't just let things in, they also let things out."
"Like what?"
"The fat just walks away." Jared said, pausing the Aqours song he was listening to.
Stacy's home…
Stacy is in the bathroom, "Won't be long!"
"Oh, that's all right." Donna said, taking the Adipose pendant out and examines it, then she twists it absentmindedly and Stacy's stomach growls.
"She is sure taking a while." Sachi said, as Donna twiddles with the gold capsule, Stacey's abdomen moves around. "I wonder if she's okay."
"Sachi, you're as quiet as that one girl Jared loved hanging out with. Blake Belladonna. I wish I could see him and the Doctor again, someday."
Roger's home…
"Well, thanks for your help." Yuuki said, happily. "We really appreciate it."
"Tell you what, maybe you could lay off the pills for a week or so." The Doctor said, as his three lobed gizmo beeps. "Oh. Got to go. Sorry."
"Right in the middle of one of my favorite Aqours songs." Jared said, standing up. "You're kidding me! Come on, let's track the signal."
Stacy's home…
A jelly-baby shaped creature breaks off from Stacy's abdomen and jumps into the bathroom sink.
"Are you okay?" Sachi asked.
"Yeah." Stacy said, as the little creature looks up at her.
"I don't think she is." Donna said, looking at Sachi. "We should check up on her."
Stacy's bathroom...
Another creature pops out of Stacy's body, then gurgles and waves at her.
"What are you? What are you?" Stacy asked.
Stacy's home…
Donna is at the foot of the stairs with Sachi, "I like what you've done with the hall. Stacy? Are you all right? I wouldn't mind a little visit myself. Everything all right in there?"
Donna knocks on the bathroom door.
"It's only me and Sachi. Do you mind if I pop to the loo? Then Sachi can go too? Stacy?" Donna asked.
Lots of lumps are moving around below Stacy's clothes.
"Oh, help me. Oh my God, help me!" Stacy said, terrified.
"What is it, what's wrong?" Donna asked, and Stacy has bolted the door on the inside.
"Stacy!" Sachi said, worried about the woman.
Stacy screams then her clothes fall to the floor, and lots of little creatures run out. When Donna and Sachi burst in, they see the last one on the window sill. It waves at them and jumps.
Street…
"Man, this is a workout." Yuuki said, as she and Jared are behind the Doctor who is following the signal on his gizmo. "Why are we looking for it?"
"Because it's cute." Jared said, and the Doctor has to hit his device a few times. "I want to hug it."
"Hug what?"
The van arrives outside Stacy's home as Donna and Sachi leaves by the back door and goes down the alleyway.
"This way." Donna said, while the trail of knocked over dustbins tells her and Sachi which way the creatures have gone. "Keep up, that's it."
The men from the van have used butterfly nets to collect the creatures, put them into containers and then the back of the van. They drive away past Donna and Sachi, and nearly knock down the Doctor, Jared, and Yuuki.
"We can't catch up to it on foot." Jared said, as the three start chasing the van.
A taxi pulls up by Donna and Sachi.
"Stacy Campbell?" The driver asked.
"Um, she's gone." Sachi said, frowning.
"Gone where?"
"She's just gone." Donna said.
"Oh, great. Thanks for nothing." The driver said, putting his For Hire sign back on and drives off.
In the alleyway, mere yards from Donna and Sachi, the Doctor loses the signal on his gizmo with Jared and Yuuki behind him.
"Come on, Jared." Yuuki said, dragging Jared away. "You're not yourself."
Nobles' home…
Donna goes inside, and her mother calls out.
"And what time's this?" Sylvia asked.
"How old am I?" Donna asked.
"Not old enough to use a phone."
A little later, Donna is sitting at the kitchen table with a mug of drink.
"I thought you were only moving back for a couple of weeks. Look at you. I mean, you're never gonna find a flat, not while you're on the dole. And it's no good sitting there, dressed up, looking like you're job hunting. You've got to do something. It's not like the 1980s. No one's unemployed these days except you. How long did that job with Health and Safety last? Two days, and then you walk out. I have other plans. Well, I've not seen them. And it's no good sitting there dreaming. No one's going to come along with a magic wand and make your life all better." Sylvia said.
"Where is Granddad?" Donna asked.
"Where do you think he is! Up the hill. He's always up the hill. And he's up there with that friend of yours."
Allotment…
"This turned out nice." Sachi said, as Wilfred has got a nice set-up in his allotment shed. "I like it."
"Me too." Wilfred said, looking at his small telescope and there are two camp stools nearby.
Donna walks up with a thermos, "Hello Gramps, Sachi."
"Aye, aye. Here comes trouble." Wilfred said, happily.
"Permission to board ship, sir?" Donna asked.
"Permission granted. Was she nagging you?"
"Big time. Brought you a thermos."
"Oh, ta."
"Did you get me something?" Sachi asked.
"Some takoyaki." Donna said, handing the girl the snack. "It took a while to find it."
"Thanks."
Sachi then began eating the food.
"You seen anything?" Donna asked, looking at Wilf.
"Yeah, I've got Venus, there with an apparent magnitude of minus three point five. At least, that's what it says in my little book." Wilf said, while Donna puts a tarpaulin on the ground next to him and Sachi. "Here, come and see. Come on. Here you go. Right?" Donna and Sachi look at the bright evening star. "That's the only planet in the Solar System named after a woman."
"Good for her. How far away is that?" Donna asked.
"Oh, its about twenty six million miles. But we'll get there, one day. In a hundred years time we'll be striding out amongst the stars. Jiggling about with all them aliens. Just you wait. And the moon almost falling down to Earth, that had to be aliens."
"You really believe in all that stuff, don't you?"
"It's all over the place these days. If I wait here long enough." Wilf said.
"I don't suppose you've seen a little blue box? Or someone wearing an Iron Man suit." Donna said.
"Is that slang for something?"
"No, I mean it. If you ever see a little blue box or Iron Man flying up there in the sky, you shout for me, Gramps. Oh, you just shout."
"Do you know, I don't understand half the things you say these days." Wilf said.
"Nor me."
"Neither do I." Sachi said, eating the takoyaki. "It sounds like nonsense."
"No, fair dos. Donna, you've had a funny old time of it lately. There was poor old what's his name, Lance, bless him, and that barmy old Christmas. I wish you'd tell us what really happened." Wilf said.
"I know. It's just, the things I've seen, sometimes I think I'm going mad. I mean, even tonight Sachi and I were in a…doesn't matter." Donna said.
"Well, you're not yourself, I'll give you that. You just, you seem to be drifting, sweetheart."
"I'm not drifting. I'm waiting."
"Waiting for what?" Sachi asked.
"The right blokes." Donna said, hopeful.
"Same old story. Blokes!" Wilf said, happily.
"No, I don't mean like that. But, they're real. I've seen them. I've met them, just once, and then I let them fly away."
"Well, there you are. Go and find them."
"I've tried. One of them is nowhere, and I saw the other on telly now and again."
"Oi, not like you to give up. Do you know, I remember when you were about six years old, your mother said no holiday this year. So off you toddled, all on your own and you got on a bus to Strathclyde. Ha! We had the police after you and everything. Ha, where's she gone, then. Where's that girl, hey?"
"You're right. Because they're still out there, somewhere. And I'll find him, Gramps, Sachi. Even if I have to wait a hundred years, I'll find them, with Sachi's help of course."
Kirito and Asuna's house…
"So, what's that pendant for?" Yuuki asked, loading up a hologram projection of said item.
"It's something not good." Jared said, walking over to her. "I want to talk things through to the one behind this. I do."
Outside Donna's home…
Sylvia comes out of the house wearing a dressing gown and hair curlers, "It's my turn for the car. What you need it for?"
A quick getaway. Come on, Sachi.
Call centre…
Donna parks in an alleyway near Adipose Industries, and leaves with Sachi. Then the Tardis materialises nearby. The five enter the building as they did before.
"Morning." Donna said.
The Doctor and Yuuki goes into a storage room and sonics the door locked. As Jared is standing outside guarding the door, with his TARDIS key around his neck. Donna and Sachi settle themselves in cubicles in the ladies.
"Keep an eye out. She'll come back and then she's mine." Foster said.
The clock moves on from 9:30 to 6:10. The call staff are leaving and the lights are being turned out.
"See you tomorrow." Clare said.
The Doctor and Yuuki comes out of their hiding place, and Jared removes the TARDIS key from his neck. Donna and Sachi does the same, then the ginger goes back in to answer her phone.
"Not now." Donna said, angrily.
"I need the car. Where are you?" Sylvia asked, her voice over the phone.
"I can't. I'm busy."
"Why are you whispering?"
"I'm in church."
"What are you doing in church?"
"Praying."
Nobles' home...
"Huh, bit late for that, madam." Sylvia said.
"What's she in church for?" Wilf asked.
"Hush, you. Go up the hill. But I need the car. I'm going out with Suzette. She's asked all the Wednesday girls. Apparently she's been on those Adipose pills. She says she looks marvellous."
Ladies toilets...
Miss Foster enters with armed guards, "We know you're in here, so why don't you make this nice and easy and show yourself? I'm waiting. I warn you, I'm not a patient woman. Now, out you come. Right. We'll do it the hard way. Get her."
The guards kick open the cubicle doors. The fifth one contains Penny the reporter.
"There you are." Foster said.
"I've been through the records, Foster, and all of your results have been faked. There's something about those pills you're not telling us." Penny said.
"Oh, I think I'll be conducting this interview, Penny."
They leave. Meanwhile, the Doctor, Jared, and Yuuki comes out of the plant room onto the roof and gets into the window cleaner's cradle.
(Jared's POV)
Outside the window…
"Man, that took a while." I said, taking out my phone to listen to some μ's. "START:DASH, now that's a good song. Hey! Hey! Hey! Start Dash!"
Miss Foster's office…
The Doctor lowers the cradle to Miss Foster's window, ��Don't sing."
"Um, it might be a bad idea too." Yuuki said, as she and the Doctor ducked out of sight when Foster and Penny enter. "I know you love idols and girl bands."
"This is ridiculous." Penny said.
"Sit there." Foster said.
"I'm phoning my editor."
"I said sit."
Outside the window…
"What are they saying?" Yuuki asked, as the Doctor uses a stethoscope to listen to the conversation.
"You can't tie me up." Penny said.
Miss Foster's office…
"What sort of a country do you think this is?" Penny asked.
"Oh, it's a beautifully fat country. And believe me, I've travelled a long way to find obesity on this scale." Foster said.
"So, come on then, Miss Foster, those pills. What are they?"
Donna and Sachi has arrived at the secretary's station outside the office.
"Well, you might just as well have a scoop, since you'll never see it printed. This…" Foster said, taking out a capsule. "...is the spark of life."
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Penny asked.
"Officially, the capsule attracts all the fat cells and flushes them away. Well, it certainly attracts them. That part's true. But it binds the fat together and galvanises it to form a body."
"What do you mean, a body?"
"I am surprised you never asked about my name. I chose it well. Foster. As in foster mother. And these are my children." Foster said, taking a little creature out of a drawer and puts it on the desk.
"You're kidding me. What the hell is that?"
Donna, Sachi, the Doctor, Yuuki, and I look through the windows.
"Adipose. It's called an Adipose. Made out of living fat."
"But I don't understand."
"From ordinary human people."
The Doctor, Donna, Sachi, Yuuki, and I see each other. Our conversation is totally silent.
"Sachi?" I asked, looking at Sachi.
"Jared?" Sachi asked. "Jared! Where's Kirito?"
"Kirito? But what, how? You're dead…"
"Maybe in this world, maybe."
"I'm dead too here." Yuuki said, looking at me. "So, don't count me out yet."
"But Yuuki and I are both here." Sachi said, happily. "Isn't that good?"
"Yeah. It is." I said, laughing a lot. "How's it going?"
"Not much. Been helping Donna. You?"
"Oh, defending the Earth."
"Sachi and I were looking for you and Jared." Donna said.
"What for?" The Doctor asked.
"I read it…" Donna said, mimes reading. "...on the Internet." She mimes typing. The Doctor nods, confused. "...is weird...crept along with Sachi...heard them talking…" Donna mimes arrival and the Doctor and Yuuki stare. "You! Jared!" The Doctor nods numbly. "'Cause they…"
"Um, Donna." I said, noticing that Foster is looking at us. "Doctor, girls…"
"Are we interrupting you?" Foster asked.
"Run!" The Doctor said.
"Get them." Foster said, as the Doctor zaps the office door with his sonic screwdriver. "And them."
"Now this is what I'm talking about." I said, and the Doctor sends the cradle back up to the roof. "Waiting around was so boring."
"Donna, I don't like this." Sachi said.
Donna and Sachi run upstairs as the guards shoot the office door open. They run out, and Miss Foster follows.
"What about me?" Penny asked.
Stairwell…
The Doctor, Donna, and I meet on the stairs and embrace. Sachi and Yuuki are behind the three of us.
"Oh, my God. I don't believe it. Doctor, you've even got the same suit! Don't you ever change? And Jared, why are you wearing a white t-shirt and blue hoodie?" Donna asked.
"Yeah, I thought I would go with a bit of Sayaka Miki colors today." I said, wearing a fortissimo necklace. "Long story."
"You love music." Sachi said, when the guards are a few floors below.
"Just like old times!" The Doctor said, happily.
Roof…
"Because I thought, how do you find the Doctor and Jared? And then I just thought, look for trouble and then they'll turn up." Donna said, as the Doctor sonics the door. "So I looked everywhere. You name it. UFOs, sightings, crop circles, sea monsters. I looked, I found them all, with Sachi's help. Like that stuff about the bees disappearing and the Noise, I thought, I bet they're connected. Because the thing is, Doctor, Jared, I believe it all now. Both of you opened my eyes. All those amazing things out there, I believe them all. Well, apart from that replica of the Titanic flying over Buckingham Palace on Christmas Day and parts of the Moon heading down to Earth. I mean, those have got to be hoaxes."
I tapped a button on my Apple Watch for my nanotechnology super suit to wrap around my body.
"What are you talking about?" Yuuki asked. "When it comes to the bees disappearing."
"I don't know. That's what it says on the internet. Well, on the same site, there was all these conspiracy theories about Adipose Industries and I thought, let's take a look." Donna said.
The Doctor sonics the cradle controls, "In you get!"
"Five of us is not gonna fit in there." I said, pacing back and forth. "Yui, two more suits please."
Two Iron Man suits began flying out of the sky and began attaching to the bodies of Yuuki and Sachi.
"This is so cool!" Yuuki said, retracing the helmet. "Iron Man?"
"Wibbly wobbly timey wimey." I said, laughing a lot. "Just activate the thrusters and we should be good."
I flew down with Yuuki and Sachi as we are keeping up with the cradle.
Window cleaning cradle...
"Um, okay." Sachi said, looking down at the others. "Blue?"
"Yuuki got a purple suit." I said, looking up to see Foster there. "It is her color scheme in ALO."
Roof...
"Oh. Oh, I don't think so." Foster said, and she sonics the controls. There are sparks and the cradle drops suddenly.
Window cleaning cradle…
The Doctor manages to make the cradle stop, "Hold on. Hold on. We can get in through the window."
He tries to sonically cut through the glass.
Roof…
"Deadlock the building." Foster said.
Window cleaning cradle…
"Can't get it open!" The Doctor said.
"Well, smash it then!" Donna said, finding a spanner and starts hitting the glass, which is designed nowadays to withstand a nearby bomb.
"I don't think that's going to work." I said, when Miss Foster aims her sonic pen at one of the steel cables.
"Oh no." Yuuki said, as the cables starts to burn.
"She's cutting the cable." Sachi said, and the cable snaps, tipping Donna out.
The Doctor manages to hang on, "Donna!"
Donna is dangling from the end of the cable, "Doctor! Jared!"
"Hold on!" Yuuki said, floating down to be below Donna. "I don't know how much this suit can hold."
"I am! Doctor!" Donna said, angrily.
Roof…
"And now, for the other one." Foster said, going to the other side of the cradle mechanism and starts to sonic the remaining cable.
"Oh, no you don't." I said, taking aim with a repulsor to blast her pen out of her hand. "Be lucky that I went for a little sting."
It hurts.
"Ow!" Foster said.
Window cleaning cradle…
"You caught it." Sachi said, when the Doctor caught the falling pen.
The Doctor puts the sonic pen between his teeth and climbs to another window.
"I'm going to fall!" Donna said.
"Ooo." I said, floating down so I can be below Donna.
"This is all your fault. I should've stayed at home." Donna said, while the Doctor slides up the window.
"I won't be a minute!" The Doctor said, climbed inside while Yuuki and Sachi flew inside.
"I love this." I said, looking up of Donna's dress.
Miss Foster's office...
The Doctor runs downstairs, as Yuuki and Sachi walked out of the super suits, and the three ran to the office and goes to the window. I entered the office through the window the Doctor opened, and I made all of the nanoforms go back into my Apple Watch.
I pressed a button on the watch for the super suits to fly out of the building through one of the windows, and back towards Mitakihara City, "I don't need those later. Especially those two."
I then entered the office the Doctor, Yuuki, and Sachi are in.
"Is anyone going to tell me what's going on?" Penny asked.
"Are you a journalist?" Yuuki asked, and I'm leaning against the wall.
"Yes." Penny said.
"Well, make it up." Sachi said.
Of course I unlocked the window and Yuuki helped me grab Donna's legs.
"Get off!" Donna said, angrily.
"It's okay." Yuuki said, as Miss Foster and the guards head downstairs. "We've got you. So stop kicking."
Yuuki and I pulled Donna inside.
"I was right. It's always like this with you lot, innit?" Donna asked.
"Yes it is." I said, grabbing Yuuki's hand. "It's always gonna be like that, super temp. Let's go, you guys."
I ran out of the room with the Doctor, Donna, Yuuki, and Sachi.
"Oi!" Penny said, annoyed.
"Sorry!" The Doctor said, zapping Penny free from the door. "Now do yourself a favour. Get out."
(Open POV)
Call centre…
The Doctor, Donna, Jared, Yuuki, and Sachi meet Miss Foster and her guards.
"Well, then. At last." Foster said.
"Hello." Donna said.
"Nice to meet you, I'm the Doctor." The Doctor said.
"And I'm Jared." Jared said, pressing a button on his Apple Watch for a sword to be in his hand. "That's Donna, Yuuki, and Sachi."
"Partners in crime. And evidently off-worlders, judging by your sonic technology and nanotechnology." Foster said.
"Oh, yes, I've still got your sonic pen. Nice. I like it. Sleek." The Doctor said, taking out the sonic pen.
"It's kind of sleek." Yuuki said. "You could lose your grip on it."
"Oh, it's definitely sleek." Sachi said.
"Yeah, and if you were to sign your real name, that would be?" The Doctor asked.
"Matron Cofelia of the Five Straighten Classabindi Nursery Fleet. Intergalactic Class." Foster said.
"A wet nurse, using humans as surrogates."
"I've been employed by the Adiposian First Family to foster a new generation after their breeding planet was lost."
"Wait, how do you lose a planet?" Yuuki asked. "Aren't they up in the sky or something?"
"Oh, politics are none of my concern. I'm just here to take care of the children on behalf of the parents." Foster said.
"What, like an outer space super nanny?" Donna asked.
"Yes, if you like."
"So. So those little things, they're, they're made out of fat, yeah, but that woman, Stacy Campbell, there was nothing left of her."
"Oh, in a crisis the Adipose can convert bone and hair and internal organs. Makes them a little bit sick, poor things."
"Um, what about poor Stacy?" Sachi asked. "She died without knowing what you did."
"Seeding a level five planet is against galactic law." The Doctor said.
"Are you threatening me?" Foster asked.
"I'm trying to help you, Matron. This is your one chance, because if you don't call this off, then I'll have to stop you."
"I hardly think you can stop bullets." Foster said, when the guards take aim.
"He can't, but I've played enough Gun Gale Online to know where bullet lines would appear." Jared said, holding out his sword in front of Foster. "Fire away, I don't want to deal with an ear rape tonight."
"Okay." Foster said, looking at the guards. "Ready. Aim. Fire."
The guards began shooting at Jared and he began deflecting the bullets with his sword, jumping in place to deflect even more bullets, protecting the Doctor, Donna, Yuuki, and Sachi in the process.
"Okay." Yuuki said, happily. "You learnt that from Kirito."
Donna pushes Jared's arm to stop him, "Come on! You can continue showing off later!"
The Doctor, Donna, Jared, Yuuki, and Sachi ran off.
"I'm advancing the birth plan. We're going into premature labour." Foster said.
"I didn't know you could deflect bullets." Sachi said, looking at Jared.
"I learnt a lot from the Black Swordsman." Jared said, smirking. "Especially that."
"How much?" Yuuki asked.
Storage cupboard...
The Doctor runs to his hiding place with Donna, Jared, Yuuki, and Sachi. Jared and Yuuki throw out the ladder and mops.
"Well, that's one solution. Hide in a cupboard. I like it." Donna said. "But not all of us can fit in there."
There is a big green machine behind the sliding back wall.
"I've been hacking into this thing all day, because the matron's got a computer core running through the centre of the building. Doubt Yui could get through that, since this is a lot of alien tech. Triple deadlocked. But now I've got this…" The Doctor said, taking out the sonic pen. "...I can get into it."
"I love Yui Kirigaya, I do." Jared said, smiling. "But she's too much of a risk, even as a sentient AI to fall into the wrong hands."
"I agree." Yuuki said. "In this world, I made it possible so she can be with her parents."
"I think she wired up the whole building. Doctor, we need a bit of privacy." Sachi said, sadly.
The Doctor holds to wires together and a forcefield stops the guards in their tracks, "Just enough to stop them. Why's she wired up the tower block? What's it all for?"
Miss Foster's office...
"Inducer online." The computer said.
Storage cupboard…
"You and Jared look older." Donna said.
"Thanks." Jared said, leaning against the wall. "I really appreciate it."
"Jared, are you still with Team RWBY?"
"Yeah. Well, nope. I've been saving magical girls along the way. And I've been helping out SONG, they were the ones who stopped the Moon from destroying the Earth."
"And we had this friend. Martha, she was called. Martha Jones. She was brilliant. And I destroyed half her life. And I destroyed half of the lives of the Holy Quintet in the process. But Martha's fine, the Holy Quintet is too, both of them are good. Martha's gone." The Doctor said.
"What about Rose?" Sachi asked.
"Still lost. Donna, we thought you were going to travel the world?" The Doctor asked.
"Easier said than done. It's like I had that one day with you and Jared, and I was going to change. I was going to do so much. Then I woke up the next morning, same old life. It's like the two of you were never there. And I tried. I did try. I went to Egypt. I was going to go barefoot and everything. And then it's all bus trips and guidebooks and don't drink the water, and two weeks later you're back home. It's nothing like being with either of you. I must have been mad turning down that offer." The Doctor said.
"What are you talking about?" Yuuki asked. "What kind of offer?"
"To come with the Doctor and Jared." Donna said, happily.
"Do you want to come with us, super temp?" Jared asked. "To see all of time and space in a big blue box?"
"Oh yes, please."
"Right." The Doctor said.
"Inducer activated." The computer said.
"What's it doing now?" Donna asked.
"She's started the programme." The Doctor said.
"Shit." Jared said, hiding the sword. "This isn't good."
"Nope." Yuuki said.
"So, what have you been up to?"
"I don't know. Maybe beating more bosses."
"But I want to beat some bosses with you guys again."
"Really? Awesome!"
"Um, but we're here." Sachi said. "I don't know how we can get access to the servers."
"We can figure it out." Jared said, taking out some milk tea to drink. "I know we can."
"What flavor?" Yuuki asked.
"Piña Colada."
"Pineapple and coconut. Not bad."
"Nope."
"What flavor will you go for next? To mix with your tapioca balls."
"Um, maybe mango."
"But you always go for tropical flavors." Yuuki said.
"I know." Jared said, frowning.
"So far they're just losing weight, but the Matron's gone up to emergency pathogenesis." The Doctor said.
"And that's when they convert…" Sachi said.
"Skeletons, organs, everything. A million people are going to die. Got to cancel the signal." The Doctor said, dismantling the pendant. "This contains a primary signal. If I can switch it off, the fat goes back to being just fat."
"I hope that works." Sachi said, as the Doctor attaches part of the pendant to the inducer.
"Me too." Jared said, holding the milk tea. "I know it will."
"Inducer increasing." The computer said.
"No, no, no, no, no. She's doubled it. I need. Haven't got time. It's too far. I can't override it. They're all gonna die!" The Doctor said, terrified.
"Is there anything we can do?" Sachi asked.
"Sorry, you lot, this is way beyond all of you. Got to double the base pulse, I can't."
"Doctor, tell me. What do you need?" Donna asked.
"I need a second capsule to boost the override, but I've only got the one. I can't save them…" The Doctor said, when Donna holds up her pendant.
He pulls it apart and plugs it in. The inducer shuts down.
(Jared's POV)
"Yes!" Yuuki said, giving me a hug. "He did it."
"No, we did it." I said, squeezing Yuuki.
"Ow…"
"Sorry." I said, letting go of Yuuki.
There is a loud noise in the sky.
"What is that?" Sachi asked.
"It's something not good." I said, playing with my hands a bit.
"And what isn't good?" Yuuki asked.
"How do I say it, maybe, it has to with babies."
"I don't get it."
The spaceship stops over Adipose Industries, and the babies wave at it.
"Fine. When you say nursery you don't mean a croche in Notting Hill." Donna said, annoyed.
"Nursery ship." The Doctor said.
The computer lights up again, "Incoming signal."
"That's an alien language." Sachi said.
"Hadn't we better go and stop them?" Donna asked.
"Hang on. Instructions from the Adiposian First Family." The Doctor said.
"There is one time period I've always wanted to see." I said, looking between Yuuki and Sachi.
"And what's that?" Sachi asked.
"Ancient Rome."
"You want to see gladiators and stuff." Yuuki said, happily.
"She's wired up the tower block to convert it into a levitation post. Ooo. Oh. We're not the ones in trouble now. She is!" The Doctor said, running off.
I'm running with the Doctor, as Donna, Yuuki, and Sachi are behind us.
"Crap, I forgot about this." I said, letting out a sigh. "She's gonna die."
Roof...
"What you going to do then? Blow them up?" Donna asked.
"They're just children." I said, grabbing Yuuki's hand. "And I love children. I can't hurt them, they're too precious in this world to get hurt."
"And they can't help where they come from." The Doctor said.
"Oh, that makes a change from last time. Doctor, that Martha must've done you good and the Holy Quintet must have done Jared good." Donna said, looking between the Doctor and I.
"They did, yeah. Yeah. They did. Martha fancied me."
"Mad Martha, that one. Blind Martha. Charity Martha. We're waving at fat." Donna said, as she, Sachi, and Yuuki are waving at the Adipose.
"Actually, as a diet plan, it sort of works." Yuuki said, sadly. "But it would make more sense to have it in the United States than the United Kingdom. More obese people."
"There she is!" Sachi said, seeing Miss Foster is floating upwards, too, below the little Adipose. "She's going up!"
Foster stops at roof level.
"Matron Cofelia, listen to us." The Doctor said.
"Oh, I don't think so, Doctor, Jared. And if I never see you again, it'll be too soon." Foster said.
"Oh, why does no one ever listen."
"Come on, we're trying to help you. You're gonna die if you don't listen, okay. I have foreknowledge of the future. Just come down here to the roof. Can you move the levitation beam? So you can come to us." I said, squeezing Yuuki's hand.
"What, so that the two of can arrest me?" Foster asked.
��Just listen. We saw the Adiposian instructions. They know it's a crime, breeding on Earth. So what's the one thing they want to get rid of? Their accomplice." The Doctor said.
"I'm far more than that. I'm nanny to all these children."
"Well, the parents have their kids now. They don't need a babysitter anymore." Sachi said, and the levitation beam switches off.
Miss Foster does a Wile E Coyote double take in mid-air, then falls with a scream and a splat.
"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." I said, while the spaceship flies away. "But thanks for coming."
Brook Street…
"Let me take that." I said, grabbing the sonic pen from the Doctor before he threw it into the trash. "Gonna give it to Miku Kohinata. She doesn't have a Symphogear yet."
Penny comes along, still tied to the chair, "Oi, you lot. You're just mad. Do you hear me? Mad! And I'm going to report you for madness."
"You see, some people just can't take it." Donna said.
"No, they can't." Sachi said.
"And some people can. So, then. Tardis! Come on." Donna said, dragging the Doctor and I away, with Yuuki and Sachi behind us.
(Open POV)
Alleyway...
"That's my car! That is like destiny. And I've been ready for this." Donna said, while the trunk of the car is full of suitcases. "I packed ages ago, just in case. Because I thought, hot weather, cold weather, no weather. They go anywhere. I've gotta be prepared."
She unloads the boot into the Doctor's arms.
"You've got a, a hatbox." The Doctor said.
"Planet of the Hats, I'm ready. I don't need injections, do I? You know, like when you go to Cambodia. Is there any of that? Because my friend Veena went to Bahrain, and she. You're not saying much." Donna said.
"Well, defeating Grimm, Noise, Witches, and saving magical girls." Jared said, laughing a little. "It's funny you know, doing all of that, and having a life traveling in the TARDIS. Especially with the Doctor."
"Both of you don't want me." Donna said.
"We're not saying that." The Doctor said.
"But two you asked me. Doctor, would you rather be on your own? And Jared, do you want to save some people by yourself?"
"Nope, I don't, Donna." Jared said, letting out a sigh. "But when Martha traveled with us, and when the Holy Quintet got involved. Things, just got complicated."
"And that was our fault." The Doctor said, agreeing with Jared. "I just want a mate."
"This won't end well." Yuuki said.
"Nope." Jared said, taking out a box of Pocky to eat them.
"What will we do now?" Sachi asked.
"I don't know. You two are dead in this world. Or it will be."
"Yeah." Yuuki said, happily. "We will. But we're not dead in our world. Just this one."
"There we are, then. Okay." The Doctor said.
"I can come?" Donna asked.
"Yeah. Course you can, yeah. I'd love it." The Doctor said.
"After the Fall of Beacon, I needed you, Donna Noble." Jared said, looking at Donna. "Travel with us, it's gonna be fun."
"Oh, that's just…" Donna said, when she almost hugged the Doctor and Jared. "Car keys."
"What?" Sachi asked.
"I've still got my mum's car keys. I won't be a minute." Donna said, running off.
The Doctor, Jared, Yuuki, and Sachi starts lugging Donna's bags into the Tardis.
Brook Street…
Donna phones her mother, "I know, Mum. I saw it. Little fat people. Listen, I've got to go. I'm going to stay with Veena for a bit."
"It was in the sky!" Sylvia said, her voice coming out of the phone
"Yeah. I know. Spaceship. But, I've still got the car keys. Look. There is a bin on Brook Street, about thirty feet from the corner. I'm going to leave them in there."
"What, a bin?"
"Yes, that's it. Bin." Donna said, tossing the car keys into the trash can.
"But you can't do that."
"Oh, stop complaining. The car's just down the road a bit. Got to go. Really. Got to go. Bye."
"But Donna, you can't…"
Donna goes over to some people by the police barriers and speaks to a blonde, a redhead, and a brunette.
"Listen, there is this woman that's going to come along. A tall blond woman called Sylvia. Tell her that bin there, all right? It'll all make sense. That bin there." Donna said, running off.
The three girls turns around to look at the crime scene. It's Rose Tyler, Kanade Amou, and Serena Cadenzavna Eve. They walk away and disappear.
Tardis…
"Off we go, then." Donna said.
"Here it is. The Tardis. It's bigger on the inside than it is on the outside." The Doctor said.
"Oh, I know that bit. Although frankly, you could turn the heating up."
"Why do you think I wear a hoodie a lot?" Jared asked, leaning against the TARDIS console. "It's because it's freezing in here."
"So, where do you want to go to?" Yuuki asked. "In the whole universe."
"Oh, I know exactly the place." Donna said.
"Is it, um, where I think it is?" Sachi asked.
"Yes it is. It's two and a half miles that way." Donna said, pointing a certain direction.
Allotment…
Wilf is packing up for the night when he sees the Tardis flying nearby, "There! Donna, it's, it's the flying blue box!"
He looks through his telescope and sees Donna waving from the Tardis door.
"What? That's Donna. Yeah, that's Donna." Wilf said, as the Doctor, Yuuki, and Sachi wave, too. With Jared flying up in the sky with his Iron Man suit. "And that's them. That's them. Hey, that's them! Ha, ha, ha! Go on, gal! Go on, get up there! Hey!"
The TARDIS, with Jared flying next to the time machine flew up into space.
