The TARDIS control room...
The Doctor and Jared come down the stairs. The Time Lord whistling while carrying a large musical instrument. And the fanboy is carrying a guitar.
The Doctor opens the TARDIS door and calls outside, "River! Symphogear! We'll see you in Antwerp! Tell Marilyn she's too late, she'll have to use the biplane. Take care."
"And there goes another adventure." Jared said, the guitar around his body. "Now that was fun."
"I can't believe you played Fuwa Fuwa Time. With Hibiki, Miku, Shirabe, Kirika, and Chris." The Doctor said, while there is a buzzing and he walks to the console to answer the call. "Like, Kirika being a DJ."
"They hung out with Bandori one time!" Jared said, happily. "What did you expect?"
The Doctor and Jared realises Amy in nightdress is sitting on the stairs watching them.
"Do the both of you do this every night?" Amy asked.
"Oh! Hello." The Doctor said.
"Hello, Amy." Jared said, frowning.
The Doctor and Jared hide the musical instrument behind them.
"Doctor, you're trying to conceal a euphonium, and Jared, you're doing the same with a guitar, guiltily. Has that ever been attempted before?" Amy asked.
"What? Oh, this. Oh, yeah, it's just one of those, erm...euphoniums." The Doctor said.
"And what? Yui, Hibiki, and Kasumi play guitar." Jared said, looking down at the red guitar. "Why can't I?"
"Okay, so is this what the two of you do at night when we're sleeping? Have extra adventures?" Amy asked.
"I don't sleep as much as you. I keep busy." The Doctor said.
"I'm a Gemini. I have trouble sleeping sometimes." Jared said, looking at Amy.
"Doing what? Actually, tell me for once. You're my friends, my best friends. So tell me what it is you do." Amy said.
TARDIS materialisation sound.
"The Doctor, Symphogear, and I just helped out a possessed orchestra on a moon base." Jared said, clutching his guitar. "The girls were wearing the outfits they had when they met the bands from BanG Dream."
"And before that, Jared and I prevented two supernovas, I wrote a history of the universe, all in jokes, and I did a bit of locum work in Brixton." The Doctor said. "Lovely practice, very short-staffed."
"I defeated Witches with the Puella Magi Holy Quintet. I'm trying to help Kamihama City do their plan of changing the foundation of the Magical Girl system. I defeated Noise with Symphogear a while before the orchestra. And I relaxed in ALFheim Online with the Sword Art Online survivors." Jared said, smiling. "What's wrong?"
"We're all such tiny parts of both of your lives, aren't we?" Amy asked, standing up and walking down the stairs towards the Doctor and Jared. "All the friends you make just flicker in and out. You must hardly notice us."
"Amy, you are enormous parts of my life. And you are all I ever remember." The Doctor said.
"And Amy, besides an Impossible Girl. You, Rory, and River. Your adventures and your life. It is one part of a huge fairy tale. That's all I can ever remember." Jared said, happily.
"Speaking of which...my life doesn't make any sense." Amy said, sadly.
"I know." The Doctor said.
"That's what I've been trying to talk to the both of you about."
"I know."
"Sorry, we should have talked about it sooner. I was too busy with wanting to deliver the Relic to Atlas that I forgot." Jared said, looking at Amy. "Still working on doing it now."
"Now, when I...when I first met the both of you and Team RNJR, I didn't have parents. I never had parents. And then the two of you did whatever it was you did and rebooted the universe and...and suddenly, I...had parents. And I've always had parents. And I remember both lives in my head, both of them in my head at the same time." Amy said.
"Isn't that fine, Amy?"
Yeah, but it shouldn't be. Why is it fine?"
"Rory and Homura were Romans for two thousand years. Rory was looking after you and Homura was looking over Madoka. You and a beacon of hope was inside the Pandorica." Jared said, crossing his arms.
"Rory says he hardly remembers it." Amy said. "And I don't think Homura ever brought it up during my honeymoon."
"Ah, but sometimes you catch Rory just staring. I bet Homura was staring too while with the Puella Magi Holy Quintet. The thing is, Amy, everyone's memory is a mess. Life is a mess." The Doctor said.
"Well, we have memories that differ from person to person. It could involve a vacation they have never been on. Or a party they never went on! Or it could be something involving Madoka and Homura. They both met each other for the first time! They felt like they have known each other all their lives." Jared said, excitedly.
"Time is being rewritten all around us, every day. People think their memories are bad, but their memories are fine. The past is really like that."
"That's ridiculous." Amy said, scoffing.
"Yeah, now you're starting to get it." The Doctor said, clasping his hands. "Put your hand here."
"What is it?"
"It's the TARDIS telepathic circuits." Jared said, leaning against the TARDIS console. "It's what translates alien languages inside your head. But it can also bring you anywhere across time and space. You just have to think it."
Amy moves over to the part of the console the Doctor has indicated and puts her hands there, "What do I do?"
"Nothing, just relax." The Doctor said, checking a screen. "Your saddest ever memory was at a fairground in Nineteen Ninety-Four. Can you remember why?"
"No. Hang on, did I...did I drop an ice cream? That can't be my saddest memory." Amy said.
"Remembering ice cream's always sad." The Doctor said.
TARDIS materialisation sound stops. Team RWBY entered the console room by walking down the stairs.
"I heard the wheezing noise stop." Blake said. "Did we land somewhere?"
"Where are we?" Yang asked.
"You'll find out soon." Jared said, walking over to Team RWBY. "So, what happened after you dropped the ice cream?"
"Nothing, I...I cried. No, no, hang on. There was a lady, she had two friends, someone with white hair and someone with a red hood, and she...bought me another one." Amy said.
"That's good for her. Buying you another ice cream." Ruby said, frowning. "What did she look like?"
"She looked like she...she had a funny dress, a nightdress. She had red hair. Doctor…" Amy said, while the Doctor, Jared, and Team RWBY are by the TARDIS door. "...Jared. Team RWBY. I don't understand. Why are you doing this? What is the point?"
"That nice lady. What did she say to you?" Blake asked.
"Cheer up. Have an ice cream." Amy said, recalling what she heard herself say.
"Amy, time and space is never ever going to make any kind of sense. A long time ago, you got the best possible advice on how to deal with that. So we suggest…" The Doctor said, opening the TARDIS doors. "...you go and give it."
The Doctor gestures outside.
"A fair?" Weiss asked.
"Is this to make up for the Vytal Festival?" Blake asked.
"Well…" Jared said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Hah! You have been doing redos." Yang said. "Why?"
"Why not?"
"I think it's cool." Ruby said, smiling.
Amy comes down the steps to them, "Okay, okay, so I ask a big, important question about life and all of you are basically telling me to go and buy myself an ice cream."
"No Amy, I'm telling you to go and buy all of us ice creams. I love fairgrounds." The Doctor said.
"Me too." Jared said, grabbing Ruby's hand. "The food, the roller coasters, the rides, and the games."
"I hate you two." Amy said.
"No, you don't. Do you get scared on ghost trains?" The Doctor asked.
The Doctor, Amy, Jared, and Team RWBY walk out.
"I get a bit scared. So is it okay if I hold your hand?" The Doctor asked.
The doors close behind them leaving the empty control room.
