The darkness welcomed his sight, though it wasn't new to him. He knew he would fall here. The cold floor of the cell tapped his bare foot. He curled up on the wooden bed and embraced himself.

It was almost weeks, weeks of being a prisoner. After a minute of staring blankly into nothingness, he was interrupted. The iron door creaked open. He didn't mind it. His eyes went back to where he was staring.

"Master," The voice was gentle but heavy. A lady servant took the leftover food from the table and changed it into another set. "You need to eat," Li Jing said.

She didn't get a reply; she was ignored. Every day, she will visit this prisoner to give him food and a set of clothes. Li Jing didn't even know why she was doing this, even if the male was ignoring her presence. 

This time, she stood in front of the male. "Yuan," she called him.
