Once again, Yumi awoke in the hospital ward. Her eyes fluttered open as she examined the familiar room. 'This is starting to get old, I always end up in the hospital or an infirmary... why am I always so weak.' She thought to herself as she clenched her fist.

She slowly sat up, trying to be careful not to open up any wounds. She spotted Natsu and Gray sleeping on the floor, while Lucy and Wendy slept at the side of the bed, Erza was seen sleeping in a sitting position on the chair.

Her sitting up woke Lucy up. "Hn..? Oh! Yumi, you're finally awake!" She shouted in relief, seeing her fellow guildmate awake. Her shouting woke up the rest of her guildmates. Natsu sat up quickly, "Yumi! You're okay!" He said with a toothy grin.

"How are you feeling now Yumi?" Wendy questioned, worried for her health. "Mhm!" Yumi reassured, not wanting them to worry. "How many days have I been unconscious for?" Yumi asked, stretching her wrist that feels very stiff.

"8 days." Gray replied. Yumi's jaw dropped, "8 days?!" Erza nodded and explained, "You overused your magic and you nearly broke the seal, you also had a lot of injuries." Gray proceeded to shake his head, "Yumi, you shouldn't have pushed yourself to this point." He chided.

Wendy nodded her head in agreement, "Yeah! Yumi really pushed herself too far this time, the seal is on the verge of breaking..."

"Without Gramps here, there's no one to repair's Yumi's seal, so she should avoid using magic." Gray added. "She doesn't have to, we're here to protect her anyways!" Natsu shouted with a his signature reassuring toothy grin.

That put a smile on Yumi's face. Yumi slowly got out of bed but stumbled a little, she did a little stretching as she was lying down for 8 days, she felt stiff all over. "What about my friends?" She asked, realised that they were injured too.

"They were discharged a few days ago, they are in good condition... except for one of your friend's that had a complication." Lucy updated.

"Have you guys found a way back?" Yumi asked, hoping that they had found a solution to this problem. Lucy shook her head with a sad smile. "I tried having one of my classmate to try and make a lacrima, it was successful but when I tried to insert magic into the lacrima, it exploded." She informed.

Erza nodded her head in understanding, "If we could make a communication lacrima, we could get in touch with the guild and get help from Levy."

A few knocks were heard on the door before someone entered the ward, it was Todoroki. "Yumi, you're awake." He said, deep down grateful that she was awake. Yumi smiled, "Thanks for coming to visit me, I'm feeling a lot better now."

Todoroki placed the food that he was holding on to the table beside the bed, "I brought you some food, you should eat it when it's hot." Yumi was touched, she didn't think that he would care so much for her. "Also, we arranged for your guildmates to live somewhere near the school and not in the dorms with you and Wendy as it's more convenient." He informed.

"I'll be taking my leave now." He said as he swiftly made his exit. "Yumi... Todoroki-san has been coming everyday for the past 8 days and bringing food for you, he told us if you didn't wake up, we could just eat or throw the food. It seems like he really cares about you." Wendy smiled.

A faint hint of blush graced Yumi's cheeks. Natsu noticed and shook his head profusely, "There's no way I'm letting someone date Yumi again!" He shouted. Erza coughed, then proceeded to plan on what they can do in order to go back to Earthland.

Yumi still needed to stay in the hospital for another day for the doctors to observe her conditions, Wendy and Lucy was in charge of researching on how to create a communication lacrima, Erza was in charge of finding other ways of communication while Natsu and Gray is in charge of... not doing anything. That was to keep them from wrecking the city and blowing up houses.

Yumi sighed, "Okay, I'll contact my classmate to see if I could get her help again." It was already night time and the visiting timings were over. They all said their temporary goodbyes as they left.

Yumi lied down on the bed, 'I wish I could be more useful, if it wasn't for this darn seal.' She thought to herself, clearly frustrated. She tried to absorb as much ethernano as she could in order to recover as fast as she can.

'I... I think I should break the seal, my body is stronger now , I believe that I could handle it.' She decided.
