Chapter twenty-four

Xoey's POV

"That was no big deal sis.I'll always be with you no matter what" I responded

"Mom I love you too"

"Love you too baby" My mother took the big cheque from her and hugged her tighter.

"So where do you wanna go?" My mom asked once we were outside.People were looking at us but we didn't mind.All that mattered now was that Dianna won and the fact that she has won a schorlaship will reduce the burden on my mom.

"I'd like to go to-"

Before Dianna could finish her sentence, the principal along with some photo graphers came to Dianna.

"Sorry Mrs.Cassman,I'd like to take some photos of your daughter" She told my mother who was still holding the cheque.

"It's now Miss.Cassman" My mother responded rudely but the principal didn't hear because she was talking to the photographers.

Dianna looked at me and squeaked.

I moved my head forward to tell her to go on.

She smiled  and struck hot poses at the photographers who were takung the images anyhow.

"Now we'd like you to take some images with the other winners" The principal told Dianna and they entered the school.

It wasn't long before Dianna came out with a chocolate cake in her hand.

My mother and I didn't mind since we knew that  it was the school that must have given it to her.

"Where did you say wanted to go before the reporter's interrupted?" My mother asked Dianna as she licked  the chocolate icing from her fingers.

"I'd like us to go to the Pizza shop on the other street" She told my mother  who happily agreed.

We stood infront at the junction waiting for a car when my mother collapsed on the floor.

"Mom!" I shouted.

At least she wasn't dead.

"Mom! What's wrong?"Dianna asked as she plopped on the ground.

"I...I.. feel- heavy- heavy" My mom spluttered weakly.

"Dianna take mom's phone and  dial the ambulance hot line.NOW!" I ordered her

Dianna took moms purse and searched through and found her phone. I heard the beeping sound as she dialed the number.

"Hello please come to the first junction from Hathaway Academy please"

I could feel fresh hot tears streaming down my face. Something began to tickle my legs and a pool of blood surrounded us.

Dianna gasped in horror as she covered her mouth with her hand.

She too began to cry and it wasn't long before the ambulance arrived.

Mom passed out and I screamed in sorrow. "Mom are you dead?"I asked her eventhogh I knew she was unconsious.

The nurses came with a bed  and lifted my mother on it.

I watched as her blood spread on the sheets like a sea.

They put her in the ambulance and gathering all our belonging, we got into the ambulance too.

"She needs oxygen" The lead nurse shouted at his companion as the they prepared the oxygen.

Ida's POV

I couldn't belive what happened at school today.Why was Xoey acting so strange.

I was in a bad mood due to that.

"Ma'am what happened between you and your bestie.By the look on your face I can tell that you've had a bad day" She sat next to me on the bed.

"Rea you weren't right.She didn't tell me where she stays and she didn't  even want to talk to me"

" Really ma'am I'm so-"

My phone began to ring so Rea couldn't finish her sentence.

I whispered to her to leave so i can have a moment with my mom.

"Hey mom" I put on my best cute voice so she wouldn't know I was in a bad mood.

"Hey Ida.It's rather unfortunate that you have to leave and come here in the next three days" She broke the news to me and I let out an 'oh'

"Okay mom.I'm already prepared.I'll be happy to meet you"

"I love you Ida see ya"

"I love you too mom"

I cut the call the call and went downstairs and drew all the maids attention to me.

"I'll like to make a very important announcement.I'll be gone for ' who knows how long' to a different country and I leave Michael and Rea in charge of this mansion. You guys should look after this mansion well until I return"

"Well miss you small madam" One of the maids said

"Yes ma'am be back soon" another said

"Is it true you're leaving?" Michael walked in.

"Yes.I'll be gone for 'I don't know how long' but I'm sure I'll be back.

"I'll miss you Ida"Michael said as he hugged me.

Andre's POV

Lilly-Belle forced me to purchase some Chinese food before we came home.

We settled down in the chairs around the kitchen counter and began to eat when someone rang my apartment bell.

"Let me get it" Lil insisted but I told her I'll get it.

I was surprised to see Bethany at the door.She stood on her toes and looked behind me.

"Who's that?"

I  held the door but she walked past me.She  almost walked to where Lil was when I grabbed her hand and pulled her aside.

"Is that your girlfriend?" She retorted

"Keep your voice down" I whispered.

"And why is that" she folded her arms in a stubborn way.

"No she's not my girlfriend.She my sister" I explained

"Then let me meet her"

"No" I refused

"Dré? What's going on" Lil asked as she walked to us.

She was now facing me with Beth behind me

"Who's there?" She asked as she moved to the left or right to look at Beth's face but I blocked her view.

Before I could say a word, Beth moved from my back and she was face-to face with Lil now.

"You must Henrietta,Andre's sister.I'm Bethany Hollingsworth but you can call me Beth for short" she extended her hands to Lil, who looked at it weirdly before shaking it.

"You must be have mistaken me for someone else.I'm Lilly-Belle Jones Andre's sister"

Beth looked at me and Lil looked at me too.

"I'll be in my room" Lil said before she left.

Beth raised a brow at me and placed her hands on her hips.

"Can you explain yourself.You told us-I mean my family that your sister's name is Henrietta"

After I explained to Beth about how I forgot and I'm sorry,she decided she'd forgive me if I went out on a date with her.

I went to Lil's room to check on her.

"Are you asleep? " I turned on her lights and saw Lil straigten up in bed.

Drawing the sheets to waist length she said" Dré I know what you're up to.You're doing that silly dirty games you do with girls.A blonde was here yesterday and now a brunette? When you get what you want from them or find a better one then you dump them.No offense bro,but it's stupid.Haven't you had enough girlfriends already? I can clearly remember the faces of girls I had seen you with in a week. Bro,stop this stupid game of yours or else you'll get something worst"

She drifted back to sleep and I just stood there, my mind blank.

I know Ida's POV was short but I just felt like adding it because I wanted you to know how she felt.

It's 10:54 pm here and my eyes are really heavy.I'll try to update very often if my phone doesn't fall in the toilet  or if anything  bad doesn't happen to it.
