Chapter twenty

Andre's POV

Bethany had slept in the other room in my apartment last night and she left early in the morning before I could I see her and kiss her goodbye.

I was preparing breakfast when my phone started to ring.

I looked at who the caller was and my eyes widened with surprise.

I picked the call with no hesitation and talked to the caller,who also happened to be my sister

"Hey Lily-belle.How you doing"

I walked to balcony and admired the street view

"Fine.I have good news"She squealed

"And what is that...?" I had no idea of what she was talking about.

"I'm coming to your place and I'm in an airplane right now but I'll land in two hours so get prepared to meet me at our usual place bro"

"Ok I love you"

I cut the call and put the phone on the counter.

I had to be there on time.The usual place Lily-belle was talking about is a cabin.We actually built it when we where very little,but our father did most of the work.

After it was done,we called it our

'Drebel' cabin.We used to live somewhere close to the woods then and we built our 'Drebel' cabin close to a lake.My mother and father used to live together by then until my father cheated on my mother thrice.

My mother had left that day with my sister and I stayed with my father here.I know my father and I are not really used to each other,but I can see he's trying.

I was closer to my mother when I was boy and my sister was more of a best friend to me.I haven't seen her in couple of years and I'm imaging what she'll look like.

Maybe she would be fat or slim,pretty or beautiful,charming or ugly,friendly or rude and unfriendly.

We painted the cabin pink on the inside(because it was her favourite colour) and the outside remained unpainted.

My dad had also cemented the floor and we added a huge woolen carpet,two old beds,two curtains and a chest full of toys to complete the building.

It looked pretty on the inside but I doubt it will look the same after all these years.

I showered,put on my clothes and drove to fast food joint to buy her favourite food;French fries and grilled chicken.

I hope it's still her favourite since she has been at marvellous places around the world.

I arrived at the small cabin.The lake had now dried up and the outer part of the cabin looked really dirty.I opened the door to the cabin and it looked the same to me,only that the ceiling had holes in them.

I sat on my bed and waited for Lily-Belle to arrive.

I heard foodsteps around the cabin and the door slammed open.

"Dré!"She exclaimed.I wanted to hug her but she was holding so many luggage,but that didn't stop her from hugging me.She dropped her luggage carelessly on the carpet and run into my open arms.

Lily-Belle Jones is my sister and she's sixteen.She has the most beautiful orange sunset eyes and short brown hair.Her eyes make her extraordinary because you barely see people with orange sunset eyes.Her face is as smooth as the surface of ice and she is  lean.

I hugged her tight and she hugged me tighter,I had missed her so much and this hug was nothing compared to how much I miss her.

"I've got something for you"I told her excitedly"

"What!"She exclaimed

I showed her the food and she squealed and sat down next to me.

"Dre that's why I love you"She grabbed the food from me and tore the wrappers apart.

"So how's mom?"I asked her but I could see that her interest now was on the food.

"Belle?"I called her

She looked at me awkwardly and her mouth was stacked with food.

"Hut dud ou say"She mumbled

"I was asking you how mom was"

She swallowed the food in her mouth really hard and squeezed her eyes in pain.

"Are you fine Belle.Do you need some water"I asked with concern.

"Yes.The food was too much for me to swallow"She said eargerly

I handed her the bottled water that I had bought along with the food.

She twisted the cap and gobbled down half of the water,she covered it and put it beside her.

"Mom is fine.She's managing her fashion company really well"

"I see and how have you been doing?"

"Fine.Mom told me to move here with you since I haven't seen you in a long time"

"So is that a vacation for you or what?"I leaned on the wooden walls.

"I don't know.Maybe.Sort of."She answered unassured.

"I hope it is 'coz I've missed you a lot"

"I've missed you too bro and mom told me stay with you untill I find an apartment to live in"

"Ok,you can stay with me at my apartment,there's and extra room so you can stay there"

"Thanks bro,one last thing.Mom said I should attend your highschool"

Xoey's POV

I didn't belive it when Aunt Carrie told me that this was my room.I haven't had my own room  in years and I felt very happy.

I wanted to see more of the house so I went to the living room.My mother and Aunt Carrie were chatting and sipping tea when the doors of the living room opened.

A girl wearing a yellow jumpsuit walked in and she kissed her moms cheeks.

Aunt Carrie gently placed the glass tea cup on the center table"Where have you been all night?"

She yawned "At a friends house"

"How many times do I have to tell you not to stay at your friend's at night"

"I'm sorry mom"She apologized

I was just about to leave the living room when Aunt Carrie called me.

What if she saw me listening to their conversation? I didn't mean to,but I also didn't want to interrupt their conversation.

I turned around and walked to her.

"This is Bethany Hollingsworth,my irresponsible  daughter.I forgot to tell you about her yesterday"

I have met her before but that was when we were very liitle,I hope she remembers me.

I walked slowly towards her,holding out my hand.

"I'm Xoey Cassman.We used to play together when we were little,remember?" I knew that wasn't the right way to start an introduction about myself but her reponse shocked me.

"Xoey!I remember you.You've grown so....You've grown soo...Big"

I didn't expect her to remember me after all these years but she did anyway.

"Breakfast is ready ma'am"The maid announced

"Since you are here Xoey I think we should all have brekfast here"She suggested

"Yes Aunt, I think that will be fine"

Bethany told her mom that she would return back here when she had a shower and changed her clothes.

I could Dianna eyeing her when she descended the stairs.

I gave a warning look not to ask me any questions now.

After breakfast my mother called me to her room.She told me that since all the rooms in this house were complete, her sister said we could keep our furniture in their second garage.

Dianna and I picked up our belongings when the moving van arrived and I  unpacked everything to it's correct places.

Everything seemed so perfect now except one thing.

My friendship with Ida was going to be destroyed.
