Chapter 2

I mumbled "Shit." under my breath.

The counselor came down the steps turning the corner. "She's doing her job." " As the vice president of the SRC, it's my duty to reprimand any student who is breaking the school policy or rules." "Saito. You were caught wandering the halls, with your phone, and you're late for class. You were also using inappropriate language."

"Heh, ok, first off I was going to class, so I'm not wandering the hallways. Second, I'm in the stairway, so I'm not in the hallways. Third, "hell" isn't exactly a curse word." "Whatever. I'll let you slide this time. Sia, please escort Saito to class." Sia smiled and looked at me. "Mhmm. I was already going to anyway."

I reluctantly followed Sia as she had walked me to class. What she didn't know that I asked to go to the "bathroom". There's no way I'm staying in this shithole of a class. "Shit, Sia still has my phone...now I have to go find her and get it back. I walked down the halls and turned to see Daniel and Isen. Basically, two people that are way too old to be in high school. Like, they should be in college at this point. Anyways, they're the school bullies. They were both together, kind of blocking my view from what's in front of them, probably a person.

"Daniel! Isen! Get your asses out of here and go to a damn college! You're both 20!"Not sure why the school didn't kick them out yet. At this point, it's not even bullying, just straight assault. They turned around and Haruhi was revealed to be crouched behind them. "Haruhi!" I ran over to where Isen and Daniel were. I grabbed Isen's shoulder and turned him around to punch him in his face."Bastards!" Isen grabbed my hand before I could land the punch. "You gotta be quicker than that!" Isen headbutt me to the floor. "Agh!" Isen stood over me and grinned. "Try better next time won't ya." "If there's a next time."

I looked up at Isen and managed to get up to my knees. I saw Sia walking down the hallway with the other SRC members. They must've noticed me cus they ran down the hall towards me. "Oh hey Sia, what's up?" She ran in front of me and helped me up.

"What the hell happened?!"

"The fuck do you think happened?! Take a look!"

Isen put his hand on Sia's shoulder. "Get off of me." Sia grabbed his hand and pulled it off her shoulder. Zayne pulled Sia closer to him but Isen grabbed her wrist. I couldn't really do anything else so I threw myself at Isen and he let go of Sia, so I'm not that useless.

He pushed Sia and made her stumble back into the rest of the group members. "Bastard! So you hit girls now?" "I'll hit whoever the hell I want to, but I only pushed her, dumbass. " "Hmph. They're all the same in my book. "

"You're too retarded to have a book!"

Shiroe came down the hall with a girl. A little too late for him to appear now, in my opinion. I guess he was flirting with her, as he does with every girl. He said something to the girl and left her to come to us. He looked at me and asked, "The hell happened?". He looked up at Isen and Daniel. "Being a cunt again I suppose." Daniel looked at Shiroe. Daniel twisted his face before he spoke to Shiroe. "The hell are you looking at?!"Shiroe had a quick comeback, pretty typical of him. " A piece of shit." Before Daniel could do anything Shiroe kicked him in his temple and knocked him out. The thought "Is he dead?" quickly passed my mind. Given the circumstances, I don't think it'd even matter if he was. I know that sounds dark but after years of tormenting people...look, my point is, if they were a good person, this would be a completely different story.

"Never underestimate the power of MC and sex positions." Isen picked him up and took him to the nurse, or whatever. I turned and looked at Sia. "You okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine." "Okay... I guess we should head back to class? Reporting it won't help...the school officials don't do anything." I scratched the back of my head before sighing. Haruhi looked at me and smiled. "Thank you." "No problem...it's just crazy how he was so quick to take Daniel to the nurse after one minor injury...but he's...ugh. It's just...so damn annoying! Nobody does anything about them so we have to handle the situations ourselves..." Haruhi punched my arm and smiled. "Hey, well...it's over for now at least. I'm sure Isen is gonna get his revenge soon so be careful. And I'm not so sure that a kick to the temple is a minor injury ha...but I understand what you're saying. That's just...the way things are, unfortunately."

A few hours later school had let out. I went to my locker to go get my belongings. I didn't see Shiroe so I decided to go home without him. He's probably with that girl from earlier. Before I was done getting my stuff my locker door was slammed shut on my arm. "Ow! What the hell?!" Behind my locker door was Isen. "The hell do you want?!" "I want you dead. Daniel is in a goddamn hospital because of you!" I pulled my arm from my locker and shut it this time.

"Ok, why would I care that your lover that's been tormenting the whole goddamn school for no reason is in the hospital? I don't give a fuck about what state he's in. Conscious, unconscious, or dead!" Isen wrapped his hand around the back of my head and smashed it into the locker. I groaned in pain as I pulled myself back, holding my nose to prevent the blood from leaking everywhere. "Do you care now?!" "Nope!!" I stumbled before I flipped him off and left the school. Ha...I don't know why he would ever think that would make me care...fuck Daniel and Isen, wholeheartedly.

On my way home I had grabbed some tissues to wipe my nose. After a bus and two trains, I had just made it home. Sometimes I wish I hadn't lived so far. Then again, it's probably for the better.
