[WhiteMist] Jian Ge, I already arrived at the cinema. Have you bought the ticket? I can buy them first if you haven't.

Jian Kang Lu didn't see that message. When that message was sent, he arrived at the cinema and looked at his kitten typing something on his mobile phone. His kitten's head bow down, his long bangs covering his facial expression.

He notified his kitten that Song Lixia's restaurant won't allow casual style outfit. So hoodies are not allowed. Today, Jian Kang Lu saw his kitten wearing a long sleeve white shirt with an ocean blue V-neck sweater. He's wearing dark blue pants with white shoes.

Jian Kang Lu was mesmerised by him. His kitten's clothes were ordinary, the ubiquitous look all the young man had. So how come on him those same clothes garbled his brain to mush, stopping him from stringing a simple sentence together.

He shook his head, tried to focus his mind then walk towards him. It seems his kitten didn't notice him at all. He greeted his kitten, "Hi, did you wait for long? I'm sorry, I didn't know you would come so early."

Bai Yutang raised his head once he heard that familiar voice. "No, I just arrived. I sent you a message, but it turns out Jian Ge already here."

Jian Kang Lu took his mobile phone from his pocket, "Really? Sorry I didn't notice I have a new message."

Bai Yutang shook his head, his soft silky hair flowing around his ear and his pale pink lips slightly opened when answer, "No, I think it was only two minutes since I sent that message. What do you want to watch today, Jian Ge? I'll buy the ticket if you haven't bought any."

"No need, I got the ticket already. Come, let's fetch the ticket."

Bai Yutang followed him in silence while putting his phone back to his pocket. "Do you want to have some snacks, Jian Ge. I can buy it if you want some."

"Mmm.. I do want to have some simple snacks. Action movies need to be enjoyed with good snacks. But we can order it later while we fetch the ticket."

Jian Kang Lu walks towards the VIP auditorium. His kitten seems to walk in different directions before hurriedly following him. It seems his kitten wants to walk towards the ticket counter. But he said nothing.

Jian Kang Lu saw the two ladies behind the ticket desk in the VIP auditorium. They smiled and greeted him, "Mr. Jian, you want to fetch your ticket? Two tickets at B1 and B2, right? Do you want to order your meal now or later inside?"

Jian Kang Lu took the ticket from them and asked for the menu. He gave the menu to his kitten and asked him, "What do you want to order? You can order anything you want." He then talked to the ladies, "I'll order the spring rolls for myself, and one mango latte, like usual."

Bai Yutang looked at the menu, and silently studied them. The ladies put the order in their tabs. Then they said, "Is this your brother, Mr. Jian? You usually come here alone. Why never bring your cute brother before?"

Jian Kang Lu smiled and said, "Yes, this is my brother. Very cute, right? I know you girls will fancy a cute young man instead of an old uncle like me, so i deliberately keep him so my value won't fall in front of you. Ah, it seems like a mistake i brought him here now."

The two ladies laugh back at him, "Nooo, please bring him here more often. It gives us heartache every time you bought two tickets just for yourself."

Bai Yutang then ordered popcorn and hot earl grey tea for himself. Jian Kang Lu asks him, "Are you sure you don't want to order something else? Their mozzarella french fries are also good. Not too greasy." 

Bai Yutang shook his head and answered they will have dinner later so he doesn't want to eat much.

After finishing his order, Jian Kang Lu took his kitten to wait until the movie started in another 25 minutes. They sit on the table in the VIP lounge. Bai Yutang told him, "This is my first time coming to the VIP auditorium."

"Mmm? When I was your age, I also rarely watched movies here. But at my age, you need a comfortable seat to enjoy the movies."

Bai Yutang looks at him. His phoenix eyes look so warm. Jian Kang Lu can't help but stare back at him with a gentle gaze. He always feels comfortable every time he looks into those eyes. He feels like he found the meaning of home from the deepest layer of his eyes.

His kitten asks, "Do you often come here alone? Why buy two seats if you watch movies alone?"

Jian Kang Lu embarrassedly smiles and explains slowly to him, "I usually watch movies after work when i don't have a polyclinic schedule. Even though the VIP seat is comfortable and big enough, the seat is paired for two people. It connected with a small table in between to hold the food. So it was kinda awkward if you sat there with a stranger, sharing the table. I don't want to feel that kind of feeling again when my intention coming here is to relax myself after a busy day. So I always buy two tickets for myself, and I can comfortably enjoy my dinner at that table without disturbing other people."

Bai Yutang nodded his head. His long eyelashes flutter like dragonfly wings. He said, "I think i understand that. But is it nice to watch movies alone? Usually people prefer to watch with friends or relatives."

Jian Kang Lu's heart felt itch when he saw those beautiful eyelashes. He answered with a pampering tone, "Yes, of course it will be nicer to watch movies with people you are comfortable with. But i don't have friends who have lots of free time to accompany me. That's why today I'm thankful for you here."

Bai Yutang startled a bit hearing his answer. He then bowed his head and said with a soft tone, "I can accompany you in the future if you want. When I didn't have an assignment, I was quite free."

Jian Kang Lu can't help but smile widely hearing his kitten words. "Really? Then I will shamelessly ask you to accompany me in the future. But please tell me if you're busy. I don't want to disturb your schedule."

Bai Yutang nodded. "But Jian Ge, today you also paid for the movies and snacks. I intended to treat you since you already took me to eat at your friend's restaurant. I checked the restaurant on the internet. It's so expensive. Next time we watch movies, let me treat you."

The waiter then came and told them that the movies will start soon and they can enter the theatre now. Both of them stand up and walk to the theatre. Once they were seated, Jian Kang Lu set up the reclining chair to sit more comfortably. He also rolled his shirt a bit. He shows his kitten the adjusting button beside the chair.

The waiter then came and served them the drinks. The snacks will bring later on. Bai Yutang looks at the beautiful hand that took the drink on the table. He noticed the watch at Jian Kang Lu's wrist is different from the last one he wore to the concert.

He asks, "Jian Ge likes to collect watches? This one is different with your last one."

Jian Kang Lu sipped his drink and answered, "Yes, it's a habit. We doctors need the watch to count heartbeat, gut movement, respiratory rate, and many things."

"Your watch last time is really nice. I bet it costs a fortune. I didn't know many things about watches, but surely it looks so nice. This one is also nice."

Jian Kang Lu shows him his watch, "This is one of my favourites. We can see the arms clearly. This one is very suitable to wear to the hospital. The watch I wear to the concert has a dark background, we can't look at the arms clearly. So I only wear it on formal occasions."

Bai Yutang looked at his watch and told him, "It looks nice. I think i have seen this kind of model before in the advertisement. But I did not recognize the brand you wore to the concert, never saw an advertisement for that watch."

"The watch I have worn before rarely had advertisement in the magazine or billboard. I think they only advertise in selected magazines or sponsoring events."

His kitten said in a soft voice "It sounds so expensive.."

Jian Kang Lu laughed, "Indeed. It was a gift. I don't think I want to buy that with my own money even though I love to collect watches. I collect them for the function, not the prestige."

Bai Yutang was a little bit surprised to hear his honesty. "A gift? It sounds like a very expensive gift."

"Yes, from my best friend. He's very rich. He gave me that watch for my last year birthday gift, said it was to soothe my single dog soul."

The waiter then came again and served them the food. The theatre's light soon dimmed, and the curtain started to open wider. The movie will start soon. Once the movie starts, they don't speak much. It was not quite nice to converse inside the theatre. If you speak too loud, you will disturb other people.

Jian Kang Lu is glad to see the more he knows his kitten, the more he likes him. He didn't really enjoy converse much inside the theatre. Once in a while to comment about the scene is fine. But not too much. It was different if you watch movies at home. 

He also hates people who talk loudly inside the theatre. His kitten really suits his personality well. He enjoys the movie and keeps opening his phoenix eyes. Made those eyes look rounder, really cute.

Suddenly Jian Kang Lu felt electrified. His hands want to get some spring rolls from the table. He didn't see clearly because he fixed his eyes on the screen. At that time, he accidentally brushed his kitten hand. It feels so soft...

In a few millisecond, Jian Kang Lu minds already wandering around the galaxy and coming back to reality with a fast heart beat. He really.. Really wants to hold his kitten's hand. To feel that soft hand wrapped in his own, and feel the tip of those slender fingers... 

And kissed every tip of it slowly.

His hands froze, in a short moment he tried to clear his mind and took some spring rolls and ate it. He tried to look as natural as he can, maintaining his face to calmly look at the screen. Only God knows how hard he tries to collect all those scattered dirty minds and lock it inside so as not to be seen by his kitten.

Jian Kang Lu tried. But as the rest of the movies goes, he can't even remember what movies he watched. He kept thinking of that soft feeling lingering on tips of his hands. Sometimes when he was out of his control, he lowered his gaze to his kitten's hands, and also stole some glances to his kitten's face.

After the movie is finished, they start to stand up and prepare to go outside. His kitten's face shows nothing out of usual. Jian Kang Lu also tried his best not to show anything on his face.

They walk to the parking lot discussing the movies. It was a superhero movie, adapted from a comic book. Now he knows his kitten also likes to read comic books. When they reached his car, they settled inside and his kitten praised his car. It was a hybrid car with eco friendly features.

While Jian Kang Lu is driving to the restaurant, suddenly his kitten asks. "Jian Ge, when is your birthday? I wanted to ask this before when I heard your friend gave you that watch as a birthday gift, but the movie started and I forgot to ask."

"Mmmh.. Me? My birthday is October 20. Two weeks ago."

Bai Yutang turned his head toward him and said in a disbelief voice, "Two weeks ago? Why didn't you tell me? Ah.. Happy belated birthday, Jian Ge. I'm sorry… I didn't know."

Jian Kang Lu almost raised his hand to pat his kitten's head, wanting to ruffle that soft silky hair to comfort him. Luckily he managed to stop that urge and tighten his grip on the steering wheel.

"That's okay, thank you for your wishes." He turns his head to look at his kitten's face. Look closely into that deep eyes, and find his home.
