The screeching sound of horses and the clanging of swords and machetes met each other. In the forest among the thickly growing trees.

The body was fast and light, it was almost impossible to be followed by the naked eye. From the dim moonlight, between the grass and the tree, some men in slightly shabby clothes rushed at someone who was sitting on a horse.

But it's not easy. The one on a horse who is no other than Da Huang who put up a great fight. He won the number one annual Phoenix martial arts competition at Sang Guan residence last year. Yet he decided to keep working as the Jie family's guard even though he was able to be independent with lots of wealth he won. No doubt about his martial arts. Da Huang stood steadily beside his horse. He had defeated his enemy with his sword still clean without any bloodstains. He rarely uses the sharp edge in each of his fights, he uses it just to scare them away.

Lu Yan checked their horse.

A night's rest makes everyone wake up with a bright face and energy.

The group arrived in Liu Yi City last night and stayed at the Orchid Flower Motel. One of the inns that were quite large and pleasant for the size of the stopover town. The Jie Family has a big inn not far from the city, but it is still under construction and can't be lived in.

The city developed so fast in a couple of years. Many wanderers stop by before they go to the next town making the small town thrive and the residents have a pretty good income. The motel owners used to be ordinary farmers, but ever since the big cities like Xi'an and Wai Yi merged, connecting cities like Liu Yi have grown fast.

Lu Yan re-entered the inn after checking the carriage. They would depart after breakfast.

The dining table was already dominated by the Jie Expeditionary group. Fei and Hong sat at one table deep, not far from the stairs. Both were ready to leave after finishing their breakfast.

"Hurry up and eat. We have to catch up with time, you want to go back home in a hurry right?"

Hong looked at the food in front of him unenthusiastically. He was starving, but the food outside his house was not what he imagined. He missed his Aunt Er Niang's chicken porridge, which was specially made for him.

Hong Er puffed up his cheek, scowling.

A plate of the dish which waiter said as fish fried, or something like it.

"Brother, erm, is there other else? How can Hong eat this, erm, what is this?"

Fei frowned, he glanced at the waiters, raising his hand to ask one of them to come closer.

"Yes, Young Master, how may I help you with?" Exclaimed the spirit of the young waiter at the dining house downstairs of the motel.

"Hong, what do you want?"

Hong was excited,

"Well, umm, is there's chicken porridge with lettuce and chunks, then a little leek...em goose egg, and a little soy sauce, garlic...?"

The waiter standing in front of Hong scratched his head. He thought he had missed Hong Er's exciting request, no one had ever asked for a menu like that before,

"Umm guest, we don't seem to be selling food like that here, do you want anything else? Chicken noodles? Fish soup?..."

Fei stifled a laugh. Hong's frowning face was adorable. He took a sip of his tea, his stomach was full while Hong hadn't touched his food yet. The boy will scream in hunger if he doesn't eat now. He is indeed a homebody who always complains about everything. Serve him well, who told him to follow him?

Hong had no choice but to try hard to enjoy his meal, while complaining.

"How if I got stomach ache after eating this?"

The diner is full and crowded. Some people who finished left and gave some place for the new to enter.

From the large door, some people in black, a young girl and a young man stood in the front before coming in. They headed to the empty table not far from the doorway.

"Waiter!" called the young man. He wore black outerwear with a yellow base, there was a dark grey jade emblem on each of their waists. Handsome, with long and sharp eyes. A firm jaw, with visible protruding veins. Not just an ordinary pretty good-looking young man with nothing.

He tightened his grip on the long-handled sword with a dark yellow glossy sheath. There was a ribbon with a black tassel at the end of the hilt. A beautiful and luxurious-looking sword.

They might not be just ordinary people, thought Lu Yan who was observing from his place. in no time he was already sitting with Fei Er. 

"Young Master" whispered Lu Yan to Fei, who also took a look at the newcomers.

Lu Yan raised his teacup and sipped it slowly while glancing at the other group of six, who were occupying a large table by the window.

The young woman looks a little more elegant, although she might be more powerful than the young man earlier. She is wearing a black domineering outfit with silver tile lining and a red line around the neck. A red and black dress with a little peach blossom flower ornament along with the dress. Her sword was slender in size, like what girls usually carry, not very feminine. Even though it looked quite elegant the girl who might be in her early twenties seemed to have a pretty high level of martial arts skills. Her posture when sitting showed it.

Lu Yan glanced at his young master, the group might not be ordinary people but that's none of their business.

"Young master the horse has finished being fed, shall we go now?" asked Lu Yan.

Fei glanced at Hong who was still eating.

"This kid hasn't finished eating yet. Hong, do you want to wrap it for lunch? Oh yeah, brother Yan, we also ordered some for taking away, right?" Fei reminded him.

Lu Yan nodded.

"Of course Young Master, everything is ready on the carriage. I don't think this trip to the next city won't be too long either, in no more than two days we will arrive in Xi'an"

Fei Er stood up from his seat.

"Alright then, we'd better get going. It's noon already, don't waste our time here" he moved out of his chair. Hong was still eating and couldn't help but follow his brother.

"Brother! Don't leave me!" he grabbed the chicken thigh on the plate and followed his brother.

"Young master be careful!" said Lu Yan who walked after Hong.

Hong chased after Fei Er who was already heading towards the door, past the group earlier.

"Brother" Just as Hong passed by the young man who sat at the very edge turned his head to call the waiter. Like slow motion, Hong's fluffy long hair flew by the wind and accidentally hit his face.

The young man turned his head, very surprised that something so soft and smelled good hit his face all of a sudden. After it passed, he saw a young man with red flame hair running towards the door.

"Brother wait! Why did you leave me? I'm not done yet" Hong Er exclaimed.

"You're too slow. We must hurry up go to Old Man Chang's house and hand over the new group, then we can go home soon. Mother must have missed you like crazy now"

Hearing Fei's quote loud voice, the two, the young man, and the young girl glanced at each other. Both clenched the hilts of their swords tightly.

"Yeah, I know that, but I haven't finished eating, Were you going to leave me?" said Hong pulled his brother's sleeve.

"Don't be noisy, lets get moving"
