Part II

Jin wiped the sweat caused by his anxiety, then took a seat on an octagonal pool that surrounds a fountain. With the splashing behind him, the city traffic, and the squawking of pigeons on paving slabs, he could not think straight. He set out at exactly six in the morning, but now it was past five and he had passed no interview. 

 

He rested his head in his palm and cussed at himself for all he was facing. All the potential employers laughed at him for wanting a cooperate job without the right qualifications. He didn't want to settle for what he used to do in the past. Jobs like that would never clear his debts. 

 

Not only was his qualification a problem, but his scandal too. They knew him already. He was all over magazine covers. He wasn't trusted. Not all organizations were willing to give him a chance or even let his foot touch the reception. They didn't want to associate with a con.
