Part III

Lectures were going on and Jin was at the far end of the hall, trying his best not to sleep. He had night shifts and got only three hours of sleep during the day. Things weren't easy for him one bit, and he wondered why he was even bothering himself when he could just stop living. That would put an end to his pain and suffering.

 Her head lolled and her eyelids dropped for a moment, but she quickly sat up and her eyes widened as if at alert. Drunk with fatigue after long sessions of work and thinking, no doubt.

After the class, he went out for a walk, and everyone stared at him as he did so. He wasn't looking good, and it made him even more noticeable. He had a slightly pink-eyed look and his shoulders were slouched. His facial expression was cadaver-like, not just sagged but lacking its usual liveliness.

He said through a yawn, "Everyone keeps staring and whispering. It makes me really uncomfortable."
