Chapter 34: A dad and his daughter?

"Yes, sir," Xin answered, wiping the sweat trickling down his forehead after lifting heavy boxes all by himself. 

"We still have five more houses to drop off the microwave ordered. I hope you're not tired."

The drowsy look on his face gave it away, but Xin denied. "I've never been more energetic." It was all just to support his daughter. Clothes, food, school, hospital bills. He wanted to be a good father, one he never had. 

"Alright then," His supervisor said, tossing him the keys to the truck. "Let's go!" The man clapped before marking out things on his notepad.

Immediately after Xin's side job that ended around 5:30 pm, he'd drive down to his bar, take a ten minutes' break before opening the bar till midnight. It was draining, but the weekends were always his day off, not all the time, but it was his proper resting days.
