Wu Gu Ke's screams woke everyone up, this was a Heavenly Connection expert, in lower realms they reigned unchallenged. Yet now.

Yun Xiao Che was not deterred and slashed his sword down creating a black beam which arced across the battle field towards Wu Gu Ke's head. Wu Gu Ke felt his life flashing before his eyes, 'This cannot be, I can't die'.

The blast Yun Xiao Che unleashed contained unfathomable power that an Essence Condensation should not have. Sam was one thing due to his ridiculous hax but for an 'ordinary' cultivator like Yun Xiao Che it was another thing entirely.

In the minds of the Human Immortals present they concluded one fact, Yun Xiao Che is not ordinary. In the distant past there existed cultivators who could fight experts far above their realm. The emperor Hu Wenxi was one, a better example was the legendary monkey king from the primordial era.

The sword beam collided with a palm which held firmly and crushed the sword energy. "Such destructive energy, rare indeed" the man who spoke was the one who stopped that attack. He was an elderly man with white hair and wore a green taoist robe. This was taoist Infinity Heaven of the Infinity Heaven sect.

"Young man, his majesty strictly forbade killing. What are you doing?" Hu Wei called out from the side. It was only then that everyone began coming back to their senses. They started to realise what had happened.

"GRRRRRH, AAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH, GRRRRahAHAHAHAH" Wu Guiki clutched his arm in pain and screamed. His arm was destroyed.

"I had faith, that elders will stop me. I did not expect this trash to not be able to handle it" Yun Xiao Che calmly spoke. 'How domineering', every one thought. Who knew Yun Xiao Che will have that much power. Taoist Infinity narrowed his eyes, he repeated power and loved talent, but this kid. "Kids these days are too brash, junior you should think of your actions. Your opponent is already defeated, there was no need to go for the kill".

"Then forgive me elder, I grew up in hostile environment. I am used to killing" this was Yun Xiao Che's cam answer. Hu Wei decided to announce Yun Xiao Che's victory. There was a slow clap from the crowd before they erupted in thunderous applause.

While Yun Xiao Che's decision to go for the kill was frowned upon as it went against the rules, his actual performance was very good. "Damn that Yan Xi Chan is brutal" Sam said on the edge of his seat, even he admitted that that casual strike was a cool way to win a fight.

"Maybe I was wrong about that Yun guy". "He does deserve it after all". "What how do you know if its not a fluke?"

Hu Wenxi narrowed his eyes, 'That power, it felt divine. But he's clearly an immortal cultivator not a divine one'. Thinking about that sword strike, although there was nothing wrong with it on the surface it carried thin traces of divine energy. Strictly speaking Qi, spiritual energy, mana and even divine energy were the same thing. They were just used differently hence gives off a different feel.

From his observation he was able to tell Yun Xiao Che most likely received the legacy of a god. The problem was that their galaxy was one where Immortals were more common, divine cultivators were near extinct in this galaxy. 'Judging by the traces, they weren't of low quality. Most likely it was a genuine True God'.

Qiang Mei Hua suddenly sent a mental transmission to Hu Wenxi "Husband, did you feel that".

Qiang Wang received Wenxi messaged and answered back, "He's most likely a dual cultivator, though I don't understand why he hides his divine cultivation".

It was Qiang Mei Hua who answered him next, "Perhaps he wished to avoid attention, gods are near extinct in these parts".

The sudden explosion caught everyone off guard. While emperor Hu was distracted the Wu clan patriarch lost it. He just saw his son get brutalised and when the crowd cheered he couldn't take it anymore. Especially when Yun Xiao Che was so nonchalantly walking like nothing happened.

"DIE YOU BASTARD" Wu patriarch did nor hold back and attack with a powerful sword strike. One must understand the that the attack potency of a Martial Saint can obliterate lower realms, entire planets. Seeing his son's state Wu patriarch had lost his mind.

Although he was distracted Hu Wenxi responded as soon as the noise hit. Before Wu Patriarch even came within 10 feet of Yun Xiao Che emperor Hu had already caught his arm mid strike. "Your majesty please. This cunt nearly killed my son, he needs to die"

Hu Wenxi gave him a look that caused him to instantly lose all his courage. "Your attack would've wiped this stadium, the capital city and a good chunk of the central region out of existence. Cool yourself".

"But your majesty, my son"

Hu Wenxi waved his hand and sandy light enveloped Wu Guile's form. It formed a mystical bubble around his defunct right arm. Then as if time was reversing that arm began restoring itself to its previous state. All the fleshy bits that were blown off reattached itself to his arm. Even all the blood tried or not flowed back.

"There, your sons better, now cool yourself before you kill everyone" of course this was a slight exaggeration. If Wu patriarch's attack did hit with likely would've killed the millions of mortals outside as well as hundreds of thousands of nearby cultivators. At his speed many weaker saints likely would not have reacted fast enough and gotten injured. Of course stronger saints and Human Immortals would've reacted quickly and protected as much people as they can but that does not include everyone.

Hu Wenxi let Wu patriarch go to collect his son. He could only hang his head in shame at his recklessness. At the same time he was thankful was Hu Wenxi for restoring his son's arm. Hu Wenxi then turned to the stunned Yun Xiao Che.

"And you, respect the rules" with that said he returned back to the VIP lounge. From start to finish Yun Xiao Che didn't get a word him to defend himself. However Hu Wenxi also felt that Yun Xiao Che was in the wrong.

'So that's the power of a Human Immortal, was that time reversal?' Thought Yun Xiao Che. His knowledge regarding the central continent from his master were mostly tidbits and held no solid information. His current master was also not privy the emperor's full capabilities.

Nevertheless Yun Xiao Che continued on his way without sparing the VIP lounge a second glance. Meanwhile Hu Wenxi was in contemplation, 'Why does Yun Xiao Che sound so familiar, am I forgetting something?'.

Qiang Mei Hua on the other was thinking, 'Good lord, did that girl affect him that much? I should send Blade 4 to watch him'.

After that debacle, the second round began. The participants were once again randomised and matched via a lottery. Hu Wenxi originally told the empress not be predictable and she passed on that message to the organisers. Hence the matches were not decided previously but relied on lottery.

In the second round, the powerful participants breezed through their opponents. Yun Xiao Che calmed down from his dark mood but he still crushed his opponents in a brutal manner. Surprisingly this earned him many fans, of course those fans were from different factions.

Sam became more mindful of his energy reserves, he was finally starting to realise that he couldn't beat every one in one move. Of course he still went for all flash. Hu Jin Shen was matched with a weaker junior who didn't stand much of a chance and so on.

By the 4th round Hu Wenxi was beginning to grow bored, by some miracle neither his son, the four heaven chosen, Sam, nor Yun Xiao Che had been matched. He couldn't help but wonder, 'Did someone rig the matches?'. But finally Yun Xiao Che was matched against one of the four heaven's chosen Lu LingChun.

That fight was when things got interesting. Both individuals showed off flashy skills with explosive strikes, dodges and tactical manurers. For all his flaws Yun Xiao Che is a martial genius. One used a heavy sword while the other a spear.

However it was clear from the beginning Lu LingChun had the advantage, he was a 4 meridian Crossing Tribulation realm expert. Yun Xiao Che was getting beaten black and blue out there. After a while something interesting happened. Yun Xiao Che unleashed a spell that generated a physical beats. Specifically this was a golden crow that had the power of Essence Condensation realm. What was more interesting was that this crow carried the signs of a god and not a demon.

Since the primordial era, the various demon races have always been numerous. Many have since stopped traditional demon cultivation and turned to other means. The most well known example are the Rocs and Elephants turning to Buddhism. Hence it was not strange for there to golden crows that are gods.

Eventually Yun Xiao Che was soundly defeated. But then a surprising change happened. Lu LingChun surrendered and gave victory to Yun Xiao Che. Apparently he thought the kid had more talent and was more deserving. In the VIP box the empress scoffed.

Sam dealt with his opponent while Li Changseng dealt with one of the female heavens chosen. This left the sword girl and Hu Jin Shen who both won their respective matches.

At round 5 Yun Xiao Che was matched with Jan Xilei the sword girl of the four heaven chosen while Hu Jin Shen was set to fight Li Changseng.

Yun Xiao Che had surprisingly ascended to the Heavenly Connection realm sometime after the 4th round. This boost allowed him to overwhelm Jan Xilei with sheer power. What was weird was how Yun Xiao Che treated the fight extra carefully so as to not hurt the girl. In fact all the damage she received was from herself due to backlash from using a High grade sacred artefact sword.

That fight ended with Yun Xiao Che bridal carrying sword girl offstage much to her master's relief. In the VIP box Hu Wenxi quietly whispered "I ship them".

Finally the next battle was announced. The crown prince Hu Jin Shen was brought into stage and against him was the number 1 younger generation genius in the entire Thousand Flames upper realm Li Changseng. Previously Changseng had defeated Jin Shen during the qualifiers.

After some time in the time acceleration chamber Hu Jin Shen was ready to compete against Li Changseng. When the tablet appeared before Changseng he tapped the standard option.

"Not going pick a battleground to your advantage" Hu Jin Shen questioned, he rightfully felt he was being looked down upon. From start to now Li Changseng hadn't treated him seriously.

"Against a junior, that is not necessary" was Li Changseng's confident reply.

Hu Jin Shen frowned and wolf shaped gauntlets appeared on both his hands. He got into a stance and unleashed his aura. Instantly the crowd was shocked.

3 meridian Crossing Tribulation? Wasn't only 1 meridian a week ago? What they didn't know was they Jin Shen had spent more then 6 years cultivating. He had made many improvements and even refined 2 meridians. This was because time acceleration distorted the heavenly tao but not Qi. He could easily absorb Immortal Qi and refine his meridians that way.

Hu Jin Shen took a deep breath, "I've been waiting a long time for this". Li Changseng twirled his hands and a sword appeared.

Hu Wei raised his arm to signal starting the fight "Battle begin".
