"What is this?" The crowned form of the Celestial Star king glared at a group of men and women standing before him. They were led by the pale skinned man who was now dressed in battle armour but held no weapons. Tied to his sash was a bronze khopesh.
They were all standing inside a wide spacious room lit by miniature celestial bodies hanging from the ceiling. Below them was a mat embroiled in the designer's of the Polaris and the various constellations circulating it. The Celestial Star king sat perplexed in his desk, it was an ancient looking thing but one that communicated both age and power especially with miniature figures carved into its edges depicting the first Celestial Star king.
This was the Celestial Star king's office. It consisted of many scrolls along a cabinet and a long desk for his work. To the king it was one of his less private, private places. However it still irked him to have someone else just barge in unannounced.
The Celestial Star king had been hosting Hu Jin Shen for around 5 days now but now during the night of the 5th day his otherworldly guests came to see him. Throughout this time Hu Jin Shen had made no sudden moves aside from overstaying his welcome. As such Celestial Star king took no action aside from playing the loyal subject.
Now the group of foreigners suddenly barged into his office looking ready for combat. The pale skinned man walked forwards, "We are tired of waiting, we have spent too long on this god forsaken world".
"It has been centuries since you started preparing and we've mostly healed up. What's more Hu Jin Shen had delivered himself right to us" he said as the king began widening his eyes understanding his meaning. The gaunt man was the next to speak up, "After tonights operation we'll have leverage".
"Your handwork has ensured a powerful combat force. With the prince in our care even the emperor will be cowed into submission". The star king looked uneasy, he thought back to the battle 200 years ago. However what the foreigners say did have merit.
The king pinched his fingers delving into heavenly secrets divining possible futures. What he received was unclear and muddled. "I cannot calculate anything useful. Arn't you being too hasty?" He said. The pale skinned man looked to the gaunt man.
"I'm almost fully back in peak condition, with your aid we can surely win. Besides that emperor isn't anywhere close to thousand flames upper realm." The gaunt man confidently boasted. He held up one hand and thick dark energy gathered. It wasn't the same as Sam's fiendish black energy but it was no less sinister.
"I Immortal Yinying Yan will ensure the missions success. You do not have to worry" the gaunt man said dispelling the energy fist. The pale skinned man nodded in happiness, 'it seems senior brother is truely back to top shape'. Beforehand he had been hesitant but seeing this display filled him with more confidence.
The Celestial Star king on the other hand was struck with intrinsic fear at the energy. He could barely comprehend it and in his thousands of years of life he could barely understand it. Despite reaching the peak of Human Immortal realm he could still not grasp Yinying Yan's power.
'The strength of a True Immortal is vast indeed' he thought. He reached into his drawer and pulled out a small figurine. It was the statue of a stone lion only 8cm wide and 10cm high. The only separation it has on a regular stone lion was the star like ruby embedded on its forehead.
The king injected Qi into the figurine and information flowed into him. "My preparations are already complete, if you take Hu Jin Shen then I can ensure no one can enter the city. I would've preferred to gather more but the current amount is sufficient" said the Celestial Star king.
The pale skinned man smiled and spoke to Yinying Yan, "Senior brother commence the operation at once. And you star king gather your troops. There will be war soon". Yinying Yan followed that command and faded into darkness.
Celestial Star king got up and picked up a wooden ruler leaning against his desk, "Let's go. You do your thing and I'll do mine".
"Thank you for your co-operation star king" the paled skinned man smiled triumphantly, "The 16th young master of our sect will be sure to reward you greatly". He along with the king and his compatriots immediately began mobilising at the dead of night.
The pale skinned man held up a coloured stone as they were walking and spoke into it, "You have arrived yes? Meet up with us and I'll give you protection, make sure you have the treasure with you. No I have not forgotten our deal" . All the while he mocked the person on the other side for being an idiot.
…
The Celestial Star king gathered 6 of his strongest custodians with haste. He did so in under a minute as every single one of them were already gathered in the palace due to it being their home too. He instructed them to obey and follow him for they had a highly dangerous task to do.
"Prepare your thunder sceptre rod, and you brother Chen make sure your star chart is unraveled. We don't want any mishaps" the king instructed. The custodians behind him obediently obeyed, they all held a certain excitement in their eyes. The Celestial Star king could understand, after all they too shared many of his feelings.
Unlike those Radiant Moon dogs who had forgotten heir pride, the star kingdom never forgot. For the Celestial Star king, although the fear of Hu Wenxi still lingered in his heart, he still went along with his plans. He was already in too deep so might as well risk it all.
"Old dog where are you going?" A rude voice called out. Round the corner came Crimson Star princess, surprisingly enough Yun Xiao Che was not with her. The Celestial Star king furrowed his brows, his daughter was extremely difficult to deal with even before his foolish son killed himself.
"An important task, leave daughter you are not needed here" the walked past the girl but she circled back and blocked him again. "I deserve to know what's going on. You are keeping a lot of secrets from your own family old dog" she barked back.
The Celestial Star king radiated a fierce aura in anger at those words, "You deserve nothing daughter, don't make trouble for me". The princess bristled in anger, "First you let our kingdom be stepped on, then brother dies and you do nothing, now you're letting that filth run rampant in our walls? You are not fit to be king" she snarled.
PAH!
"GAH"
The princess was slapped aside. The king grabbed her by her collar and pulled her up to his eye level, "Listen here daughter" he spat. "I have spent the last 200 planning to kill Hu Wenxi. Your interference is unnecessary and a bother. Your impatience is a flaw. Your ignorance is a sin" he tossed her aside roughly onto the floor. She glared up at him but he was not done, "My plans are finally coming to fruition so just sit back with that boy toy of yours and watch. Your foolish brother will be avenged and we will rise again. Your childish tantrum will not interfere".
As the king began moving away Crimson princess called out again this time much more calmer, "Who were those with you earlier". The king stopped momentarily, "Insurance, a new ally we can relay on" me made out with gritted teeth and clenched fists. The princess noticed this and her face mouthed into one of disgust.
"So you'll trade one master for another huh? How like you old dog" she spat. The king stood there in silence while the princess continued again, "See that you kill the upstart emperor, I'll even help you where I can". She walked away from the enraged Celestial Star king.
"The old dog is planning something big and Yun Xiao Che is far from ready. Brother, it seems out worthless father will accomplish something useful after all" she said to herself as she went away. However the Celestial Star king heard every bit of it and gripped his palms hard. So hard in fact that blood began oozing out.
"Ah your majesty" one of the custodians reached out in an attempt to calm the king down. However the king ignored him and motioned for them to follow. He silently led them to the throne room all the while the felt the king's bloodlust rage. The king was a Human Immortal, amongst the custodians they were just peak Martial Saints. They all felt uncomfortable, however they were also driven by their pride, they trusted in the Celestial Star king to bring glory to them once more.
The king sat atop his stellar throne while the six strongest saints of the 12 custodians lined before him in the shape the big dipper. The king breathed in and breathed out, "There is no going back now". Deep beneath the palace vast quantities of spiritual herbs and treasures as well as vast amounts of spirit stones quantifying in 10 gigaton of solid mass. The Qi value of this amount of recourses emitted enough raw power to overwhelm True Immortals.
Celestial Star king felt the flow of power directed at him and his 6 subordinates. He felt the intense power overflowing beneath his skin and in every organ in his body. "Yes I feel it, with strength like this I could've killed that fiend in an instant". Every fibre of his being bursted with overwhelming power.
'I was once the greatest talent amongst my piers. I was the most talented king in over 900 thousand years. I was supposed to be the one to lead us to greatness once more'
Above the skies of star city a massive battle formations materialised. The stars of the big dipper materialised over the night sky showcasing indomitable might that could be felt across the entire world. The citizens looked up and danced in excitement, the centuries of humiliation was over.
Numerous tao runes danced about with a gargantuan purple star materialising behind the big dipper's six stars. The Celestial Star king had activated his strongest battle formation surpassing even his cities defence formation. This was a secret weapon he had cultivated for millennia, the Grand Chariot North Star Supreme Formation.
…
Across the world on an island west of the middle continent in a cave deep inside a misty mountain a massive reptilian eye opened. He had sensed massive waves of energy rolling from the direction of the star city. "What is going on?" The dragon head rose up and looked in the northern direction.
Long Chi Bai had been resting ever since the battle against Sam and had made great progress in healing his wounds. He wasn't in peak condition but could still sense imminent danger from the middle continent. He arose from his resting formation unwinding his massive draconic body.
Rising into the air he quickly made his way towards the middle continent. Flying quickly he made it to shore in but a few seconds. Unsurprisingly he met a fierce looking man looking around 18 with seated teeth and a shark fin on his back. "Colossal Shark taoist" he greeted and the fierce man. The demon greeted the old dragon with a head nod.
The shark demon was unlike him. He was a lonesome figure who seldom appeared mainly residing in the southern shores of the continent while making occasional trips west. He was a man of few words hence Long Chi Bai did to bother taking any further and continued on.
The large dragon and shark man demon arrived on the middle continents and felt the presence of Qian Wang who was being escorted by a small army. "Taoist Qian what is with that surge of energy?" Asked the old dragon condensing into a human form. The sect master looked almost frightened and said, "Jin Shen was in the city".
…
"Fuck" Hu Jin Shen sat on a chair with a khopesh lined across his throat. Besides him Hu Tong Shan was completely bound head to toe. The figure of Hu Lan Yue was unconscious and in the hands of the old woman.
"Fuck indeed little fella" said the smirking pale skinned man. Before them was a garden within the star palace. The figure of Yi Guang was brought to his knees by Yinying Yan's shadowy aura. The general could barely move and could only force himself up with his spear.
"You should not have come here my dear prince. Now your father will suffer for your mistake".
