Opinion's of Evangeline

Nadia let out a groan as she reached into her hood to run her hand through her hair. She was going to just leave the kid as it wasn't her problem but now the kid got her involved. "Aki grab the kid and follow me." She ordering a low slightly annoyed tone. Akiko gave her a slight nod before picking them up.

"H-hey where are you going with that kid! They are at fault for this." A man who saw that they were about to take the kid away. "They have to pay for destroying the carriage."

"You wanna make a kid that's clearly a bigger pay for a cart they clearly couldn't have destroyed themselves, where it was your own ignorance for the accident. Besides look at this kid's conditions to pay you, they are more than likely gonna die. So I'm taking them to a nice place to rest. So are you really gonna stop me or will I have to cut you down to get the point across?"

The man flinched as he could feel the menacing aura that was coming off Nadia and Akiko. It made things easier as people quickly moved out of the way for them. Walking off down into an alleyway and walking down the weaving walk to a nearby back street away from prying eyes. Nadia thought it was a good thing that the kid was out cold. "What do you plan to do master? Using magic right now is unwise but without magic, we likely will be unable to save the human child's life. Even if you hide it there are too many people even here it will be detected and noticed." Akiko asked in a low tone the moment they stopped.

"I know, and I have no plans on revealing that secret yet. Not to even mention what that man will do. Sigh… no we will no use magic yet, we'll use this potion I made and enhanced, along with this salve and painkiller. This will not heal everything but we'll be able to transport them further back to our place to finish it up." Nadia replied as she took out the vials she initially planned to sell. She looked at them for a moment before letting out a sigh.

Removing the lid from the potion bottle she looked at the kid before opening their mouth and poured it down their throat. They started to cough and spit it out but Nadia closed their mouth stoping them. "It may be bitter but if you wish to live deal with the taste and swallow. I'll give you something later to rid for you of the taste." Nadia told them, with that the kid swallowed, which them Nadia gave them a drop of the painkiller before pouring her canine of water of the wound and applying the salve. "Aki let's move with this they'll be stable enough to reach our place."

With the kid in his arm the two begun to make quick pace back to their 'hideout'. Right as they were about the leave the alleyway onto another more deserted street loud sounds of boasters laughter could be heard. Nadia stopped and looked around the corner to see the Duke's knights. They laughed about the 'drunk' they just deal with as they begun to walk by where Nadia and the other two were when one of the knights said something unexpected.

"I haven't the 2nd miss for a while."

"You mean the false 1st lady Evangeline. I hope she's dead the estate be better off without filth like her around bringing down the Duke family name. No matter how the thing looks it will never be a true lady and never be accepted into high society a gutter rat like her."

The kid in Akiko's arms begun to squirm and tried to speak but Nadia quickly covered their mouth. "The late Duchess was kind enough to bring her in but all it's done is sully the 1st miss's name and the late Duchess's memory, even breaking such a gift and still acting as if she is a part of the family." Nadia clenched her in anger to stop herself from doing something rash and stupid.

The thing they were talking about that Eva broke was a chime that she got from the duchess one that was similar to what the 1st miss had. It was an event that Eva actually wrote about from before the loop it was during a time she was beginning to feel hopeless and depressed over everything she begun to reminisce on certain things of her past that wouldn't be known otherwise. A servant had broke the chime that the 1st miss had and said that Eva had stole it to replace her broken one. No one listen to Eva's claims of innocences or even checked if the servant was truthful. Everyone trusted the servant's words over Eva's everyone except for the late duchess. The Duchess was Evangeline's only line of support and protection in this house where everyone despised and looked down on her just for entering the house through adoption. The moment the Duchess died with her support gone everyone in the house begun to actively attack her again. Eva never said who the servant that slandered her was and was something she took to her grave.

Nadia knew the knights or at least one of them was aware of their presence in the alleyway trying to bait them out vying for another fight. Nadia didn't give such satisfaction aware this was a battle to fight another day no matter how angering it was to hear how to they treated the original owner of her physical body here. It confused her more why Eva even wanted to save this place. If Nadia was in her shoes at that moment she would just let the world burn maybe actively burn it herself. She thought about doing that for a moment but decided the satisfaction of completing a task deemed impossible was more satisfying than punishing the world for a dead woman, cause after all it's not Nadia they are treating in such a way in the end.

Eventually the knights were gone and things were quiet that was when she removed her hand from the awake and mad child's mouth. Nadia noted the bite marks on her hand but no instances of broken skin so she let it go. "Why'd you stop me when they were saying such slander about that girl?!"

"I'd rather not deal with those knights at the moment. It's better to bring up such a fight another day than today when we are less equipped to deal with it. But that's beside the point. Why'd you even get so worked up to do you even know this is Evangeline they spoke of? The adopted miss of the family has yet to make an official appearance in society. From what I'm aware of Evangeline is despised by the people, though I believe part of that hatred is due to the people in the duke's house themself than actually knowing the girl herself."

"Not personally but she's well known in the slums. I heard that before the duke's she lived at the very edge of the slums with her mother. The two are well-liked there. I saw her once or twice back then when her mother got sick. Evangeline was desperately trying to save her mother, trying to make enough money to get the medicine to help heal her mother's sickness."

"So she is well-liked in the slums then… we'll talk more about this late. Our biggest concern right now is to treat your injuries. You are still in a very bad state at the moment and need more treatment than what I have on me."

With that, they continued to the house with the plan of treating the child's injuries in mind. With even more reason to keep the kid alive than before Nadia was more determined wanting to learn what the kid knows in the hope to potentially gather a force of allies to her hand that could aid her in many ways in future endeavours. However it all hinged on healing the child currently to her it was now a make or break moment as such they hurried back at a quicker pace.
