"Yo, Vera!" Killua called standing by the boat as Vera walked out of the forest.
"KILLUA!" She cheered running faster and engulfing him in a hug. He stood still comprehending what was happening. But before he was able to respond Vera had let go, his ears started to turn pink as he just stood there in shock.
"Um.. Earth to Killua?" Vera tilted her head and giggled "idiot" she rolled her eyes playfully.
"Anyways, has Gon finished yet?" Vera asked tilting her head.
"N-No, I don't think so" Killua stammered shoving his hands in his pockets "I see you've met Rin" he gestured towards the latter who was walking towards them.
"Yep! Me and him are best buds" she linked an arm around his shoulder.
"Best buds?" They both looked at her confused speaking simultaneously.
She sighed "I need some girl friends" she unlinked her arm looking away from the two dumbfounded males.
"Girlfriends?.." the muttered AGAIN simultaneously.
The woman from the boat walked off and started Tallying peoples points.
Vera tuned out until she was called.
"Number 103 Miss Vera" she announced as Vera held up the two tags she got.
Gitarakuru looked at her with a glare as he held up the four cards he had to retrieve last minute. Vera shrieked and ran behind Killua. He rolled his eyes.
"Number 7 Mr. Rin!" She called catching the girls attention,
'Number 7? How did he get to the exam before me' she groaned taking in fistfuls of hair.
"So.. only 8 applicants made it this time?" The boat woman muttered and Vera began to panic.
"No way the others didn't make it. Especially Gon.. give it a few more minutes please!" Vera practically begged and the lady looked at her nodding.
"Oh wait!" The lady said looking up and out came from the forest Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio.
"Yea!" Vera cheered punching a fist in the air.
Gon made eye contact with her and gave her a sweet smile which she returned.
"Gon!" Killua smiled standing inbetween Rin and Vera.
Rin only waved with a short smile. "Rin! Killua!" Gon shouted running over to them.
"Cutting it close aren't you?" The woman from the boat smiled writing down their names as well. "The last three! So... the remaining 11 contestants move on in the exam!" She cheered raising up a hand.

Rin and Vera were walking through the halls of the blimp when a voice came through the speakers.
"Attention all applicants. The chairman would like to interview you. When you hear your number come to the reception room on the second floor. We'll start lowest to highest. So number 7, Mr. Rin please make your way to the reception room. Thank you for your cooperation."
Vera looked at Rin and nodded "go ahead" she waved and suddenly it looked as if he almost disappeared.
She blinked still not being use to his abnormal speeds.
[Rin POV]
Rin peeked inside of the room only to see the chairman sitting at a table with a piec of paper in front of him.
"Please come in come in!" Chairman gestured to the other side of the table in which Rin decided to sit. He sat crossed legged with both hands on his knees.
"Is this the final phase?" He asked with his big yellow orbs practically glowing from the light.
Netero paused "not exactly. More or less for the cause. As well as to fill my curiosity" rin smirked slightly out of curiosity himself.
"So what's up oldie." He said with a Cheshire Cat smile.
"For beginners, why do you want to become a hunter?" He asked
"In all honesty, I don't exactly care for this. I just got bored.. as well as a job, I need to have a hunters license for that cause."
Deciding not to push Netero continued "for my next question then, out of the other ten other applicants, who are you keeping a close eye on?"
Rin paused thinking of each applicant and who caught his attention the most. "Number 44.. and Number 287" he blankly said.
"Okay then.. last question. Which of the others would you least like to fight?"
"Hm.. probably numbers 103, 405, and number 99." Rin said without hesitation
"Ah.. Why's that?" Netero asked
Rin groaned "Geez.. so many questions!!" He whined wiping away an anime tear "because they're my friends. And I have no intention on fight them. If a fight were to ever occur between us I would forfeit without hesitation."
Netero nodded in understanding letting him get leave.
POKKLE (POKY!)
"I'm keeping an eye focus on number 404, he's the most well rounded applicant.. but I wouldn't want to fight 44.. because I don't think I could beat him.."
KILLUA (POODLE)
"Well Gon and Vera.. were the same age. As well as Rin. Who I don't want to fight though is number 53.. I don't think it would be very fun at all.."
VERA (BADDIE)
"99, 405, and number 7 of course! They're my bitches! But who I wouldn't want to fight.." she put a finger to her chin "number 44 or number 287, they creep me out hella" she shivered
FORGOT HIS NAME (OLD GUY)
"I'm keeping a watchful eye on number 44, but number 103, 7, 405, and 99 are out of the question. They're children and I refuse to fight them."
GITARAKURU (TIN MAN)

GON (BABEY)
"Who am I keeping an eye on?.. hisoka number 44. He's on my mind the most anyway" his eyes lit up as he gave a huge smile "but there's no way I could ever fight my friends! 103, 99, 7, 403 or 404!"
HANZO (EGG HEAD)
"It has to be 44. He's obviously the most dangerous applicant. The one I least want to meet in combat is also number 44."
KURAPIKA (PIKA PIKA)
"I'm watching 405 and 103 for positive reasons. But 44 for negative. I will fight anyone if there's a reason, otherwise I'd rather not fight at all."
LEORIO (FOUR EYES)
"Number 405 and 103, I sure hope they both pass and I owe number 405. That's why I'd rather not fight either of them."
"Hmm.. I see.. this is more lopsided then expected.." Netero thought to himself writing stuff down "that's do it!" He cheered.
"Hey, Vera!" Killua called out the the girl who was swinging her feet back and fourth by the window.
"Yo, kil" she waved as he jogged his way over to her. "What's up?" She asked
He sat down next to her leaning backwards with his arms as support "nothing much.." he stated.
Obviously he had something on his mind, but he didn't know how he should say it.
"Kil-

They both laughed at eachother. This was kind of awkward for Vera cause she's not exactly used to sentimental situations. The entire scene was sentimental, the sunset, them just sitting together alone. It made her feel creeped out..
"You know how you what you said about your parents?" He started and she nodded not knowing where this was going.
"Promise me you won't go home okay?" His face turned into a serious one "we can run away together. You and me. I'm not sure about Rin and Gon but I'm sure they'd say yes" he held out his pinky finger to her and she looked at his had as he spoke.
"Promise?" He asked tilting his head.
"Yea.. promise" she smiled wrapping her pinky finger around his and they shook hands laughing at eachother.
"Your real sappy you know Killua" she crossed her arms with a chuckle.
"Yea yea whatever" he rolled his eyes looking away.
Killua wanted to get to know her more and hoped she felt the same way towards him. He doesn't exactly know how to explain it, it was like.. he has the urge to protect her and be by her side forever. It does sound selfish of him but he cant help feeling the way he does.. he doesn't know what the feeling is but he sure as hell will find out.
Guess who's posting during online classes!!!!2!1!1!😏😏 ANYWAYS A LITTLE KIRA MOMENT !! I don't know if I want to ship characters in this story but it feels right to.. FKSFJAJJS ANYWAYS NEXT CHAPTER SHOULD BE OUT TODAY AS WELL GRRRR
