Chapter 18. The Sword of Samay is Breeze Cutting The Heaven’s Sky (Part. 2)

When Samay became four-year-old Svapn gave a glorious, nameless sword to him which had some unknown spiritual life covering it.

Svapn smiled warmly; it was so warm to even melt a heart of stone and told him, "This is the only thing left for me and I am giving it to you to take good care of it, alright?"

The four-year-old Samay was too young to understand the meaning behind the words of his favorite person, Svapn.

Still, the little one was so happy, rapturous about it that he showed the whole palace his new weapon, showing that Svapn acknowledged his impressive skills to even give the mighty sword to a four-year-old boy, "Look-look, at this awesome sword Svapn gave me this because he thinks I'm very powerful." However, for him, he was a full-grown man who wanted to save everyone, especially Svapn who took him under his wings after his only family, his big brother disappeared.

After that Svapn became even more likable to the little Samay. Most of the time he spent with the Master of his who happened to be Svapn as well. It was the best thing in the world. He told many stories to Svapn who attentively listened to him while writing something in the files. It was always the greatest time of the day whenever he could tell how he tried to improve himself with his swordsmanship. With a gaily attitude of his, he always told Svapn everything that happened with him in a day or the daily updates about the Palace of Lost Soul's Realm.

Svapn was not a person to talk much and had an imposing aura around him so not many, especially the disciples of the Palace of the Lost Soul's Realm tried to talk to him, giving just greetings and wishes whenever they encountered one of the Master and Prime Minister of Lost Soul's Realm out of respect or fear. But there was one exception who was Samay who never knew the big role and position of Svapn or rather never understood.

For four-year-old Samay Svapn was just Svapn in short his favorite person who always listened to his stories. Svapn showed him many different ways of holding one's sword and various ways of attacking and defending even when the classes would end. Those extra lessons were only for Samay who gladly studied with his Master.

Everything was going well but then Samay started to grow up and soon he became the top disciple of the Palace. Then he became everyone's favorite and many disciples, be it male or female approached him to be friends and he started to get along with them. Soon all his attention was grabbed by his life that he forgot to visit Svapn anymore. Even if they met during the class or just encountered each other while on a walk they would just greet each other with a smile and go on their separate ways without exchanging or expecting any other word from the other.

Everything and every day went smoothly after Samay stopped coming to Svapn but Svapn felt a hole in his daily life as Samay stopped coming to him, he felt a little sad and lonely but it was what it was. Nothing could be done anymore. Svapn knew that he cannot stay with the kid forever nor could he protect him if he stayed under his wings forever.

He never said how much he felt lonely without the small four-year-old Samay. He felt as if he was a mother bird who finally let the baby bird leave its nest after teaching the life lessons to him. Although there was some emptiness and loneliness left for him when Samay stopped coming to him. Nonetheless, he just let the kid live his life while He lived his own.

They left with just one relationship of Master and disciple who only interacted during the classes. Eventually, they grew apart even more and Samay became more and more arrogant and bratty kind of a character when he approached his teenage years. Samay started to act more and more selfish, arrogant therefore Svapn felt the need to do something about his attitude because he was the one in charge of taking care of Samay in the past.

Hence, Svapn became especially strict with the kid to make him more modest and an ideal cultivator. But things don't go the way one wants them to be, therefore, Svapn's over-strictness and bitter words made Samay resent him more, hate him more, and finally made him the enemy of Samay.

Samay thought that even Svapn, his favorite person, also started to hate him and stopped loving him. For him, there was no one left who would care for him for real. He became alone and distanced himself from everyone. Never telling anyone anything or trying to explain his doing to anyone, in other words – a character no one even notices if he didn't raise his voice.

No matter what, still, there was one thing, only one thing that warmed up his little resentful and rebellious heart – the sword given by Svapn. He named it – Breeze Cutting the Heaven's Sky. People laughed at him for naming it such a big and unreasonable name but he never cared for all those people and whatever they said. He tried his best to cultivate it. He went to train himself even after the night curfew of the Palace. Trying extra hard after his classes would end saying, "I'll show Svapn how capable I am so that no one would ever joke about my sword's name!"

After that, he tried and tried and trained and trained but his glorious-holy sword never left its sheathe. It was too much for him but he never stopped dreaming that one day he would surely unsheathe his mighty sword with his cultivation. And one day after five hundred years of cultivating with the sword some sparks and light came out of the sword which burned his palm and fingers so much to make him lay down in his bed for two whole weeks!

However, Samay never remembered the burning pain of that time; the only thing he remembered was the fascinating image of the sparks and lights finally coming out of his precious sword after many years of cultivation. The moment was priceless for him, so precious that it tingles in his heart forever giving him more hope that one day he will definitely be able to unsheathe his sword. But this time he had no one to share his joy with… not even…

Svapn.

He felt lonely but never showed it up to anyone rather he always had the arrogant expression covering him.

But… his dream of cultivating with his sword and one day unsheathing it with his cultivation and showing the world his ability shattered to dust becoming nothing but just an unreachable dream because someone else unsheathed his Breeze Cutting the Heaven's Sky.

His throat dried up and he felt the air become tighter around him that he couldn't even breathe anymore, his heart twinged and pinched inside. Everything froze up in front of his eyes.

His feet were glued to the floor, he was lost somewhere inside his own mind. Samay did not even notice that Shri the Second Guard of The Poisonous Duo Guards attacked him but inexplicably and abruptly stopped as though someone made her do that. She turned and moved for Advik. Her behavior was so strange that Vismay also felt that there was something certainly wrong with her but it could not detect what it was.

When Shri joined the side of her brother they became even more undefeatable. Advik smirked, his voice was strange but confident, "Two for one, not fair."

Samay was still in a daze, piercing his gaze into his shining and swinging sword which danced in the air in the hands of Advik. Advik was really remarkable, his sword-arts were second to none, unmatched and divine like a god's.

Samay knew his sword was of no match because even after hundreds of years of practice was still not enough for him to unsheathe that mighty sword. Whilst he found that Advik really gave something more to his sword for it to be so...heavenly.

Advik felt the room was not enough for them to clash their blades. Since he got the sword of Samay his opponents became even more intense and unstoppable. Although fighting with someone was not his intention at all. He thought of running away with his friends to avoid any unwanted damage. It was an easy choice between fighting an unnecessary battle or simply leaving to save their precious energy so that they could use it in a more difficult situation.

After pondering for a while, when he was still fending off the Guards -- he got an idea. He murmured something under his breath and some milky-white smoke started to gather only around the Duo Guards, everything became vague for them, Om and Shri started to cough too much and closed their eyes.

Advik got an opportunity to sprint toward Samay, having the sword in his left hand and taking the kid's wrist in another he ran away from the Brother and Sister. The sudden touch made Samay come to his senses. His eyes were astonished and perplexed looking at the stupid soul but followed him unconsciously with the Fireball and Firefly floating behind them.

After just a moment of uneasiness, the smoke around the brother and sister disappeared. They rubbed their eyes and looked at each other then scanned the inner temple to find that no one was there, not even the Firefly they saw before. They had dark clouds gathering over their pretty faces and eyes getting scarlet with anger. They both left in a hurry to chase the soul and the kid.

Advik and company got only to the outer temple where the Mahakali statue was when the Poison Duo again attacked them from behind. Advik sensed the abrupt attack from behind and turned around to shield himself and the kid. His blade met the guards' blade with puce and light-green color showered from it. Advik had a dark, strange look, "I informed you before that I hate swords." His voice was heavy with malice mixed with it. The three mighty swords were still in contact with each other while pressing forcefully against their enemy.

"F**k off." Advik pushed the sword intensely and swung it again to release a thin line of dark-colored light in the midair which forced the siblings to fall on the ground with overwhelming force and a loud thud.

The eyes of Samay shrunk when he saw the blow and power of the attack. He grimaced at the sibling who was still on the floor. He had no words left to speak. His eyes glanced at Advik who had an untouchable and malice mixed aura around him. Advik was still glaring at the Duo Guards but suddenly looked at him and he asked with a calming smile, "Are you alright."

Samay just gave a small, confused nod to the question. Advik softened his eyes and nodded as well. Samay stared at him before saying, "Let's… Let's go before they stand up."

"Hmm," Advik said and they left from the outer gate of the Mahakali Temple.

Shri saw them leave but she was too overwhelmed with the blow by the Soul that she couldn't rise to her feet immediately, "That guy!!" she hissed punching the floor then wobbly tried to get up.

Om stood up and offered his hand to his sister, "Do not worry. Someone helped them from the shadows. The spell was broken but restored when they were leaving and they didn't know what was happening here so it is fine." His tone was deep and impassive, "Someone just used them to stop us from doing what we were doing."

She was on her legs, dusting off the dust from her clothes, with hostility she said, "Huh? Why would someone want to go against our Empress." Her eyes grew bigger, "Don't they love their lives?!"

"Do not know." Om looked in the direction where Advik and Samay ran away. He frowned, "Let's inform Her Majesty that we've found someone who is way too much similar to those discriminations than anyone has ever been."

With confusion, Shri nodded and scowled.

Om looked at his sister again, "We shall take our leave."

Both of them pull out a golden talisman made of golden silk. Chanting something under their lips they vanished from the place leaving the outer temple to become dark again.
