Chapter 49. The Divine Voice

One after another Advik's thoughts were tangling in a mess he didn't know how to untangle. His bag of questions was overflowing.

Some hours passed in silence and apprehension.

A hair-raising silence engulfed the entire village. The moon in the sky was milky white and its light shimmered over the whole village.

Cold winds flowed with a bloody smell. In the soundless environment, even the faint breathing of Advik and Shwet in the dimly lit room was easy to hear.

Advik had been sitting on the same stool while gazing outside through a small crack in the window. Nothing actually happened even after such a long time. He felt tired and a little cold but nothing more. Even after hours, no attacks, no problem - nothing unusual occurred that could answer Nitya's fear before. Although, he could smell the stench of blood in the air but it was always like this since before because the village was at the end of that graveyard like forest.
