Its been 3 weeks since the last confrontation between Me and Erza.

Sakura and Erza talked with me every now and then, though Horikita didnt seem to even take any interest regarding that. Everything seems normal. I still observed Erza and vice-versa.

Sakura seems to be friendly, once you know her. Still, she was the one who kept on speaking about different types of subjects. To be very honest, I have never thought about Sakura being the 'talkative' girl. If one looks her from quite a distance, one might remark her the 'Shy' type. Yes, she is quite shy around strangers. Though, she is NOT a bad girl.

This is another day, during the 'Short Break' , I went out for refreshment. Also, to buy a juice. I was on my way.

"Hey! Ayanokouji! Wait a second!!!" A shrill voice called me.

I turned and saw Kushida running towards me. What does she want from me now? Well, I did convey her words from before. But I haven't really told her that, because there wasn't a perfect time to begin with. She is always surrounded by students. So its a bit difficult for me to reach out.

"Actually...I wanna talk to you about before..." She came close to me. Is this why Erza hates her? Because how she is the 'clingy' type. Not like I seriously care about how people are. Their behaviour doesn't really interest me. Still, my heart should beat, right? At this kind of situation?

Thinking about Ike, he would have definitely passed out.

I took a step back. Kushida's friendly way of 'clinginess' is not someone would hate. But her unusual way of acting like 'friends' with me, is a BIT odd. Or is this how Friendship works? Am I even a Friend? To her?

"So...can we go somewhere to talk?" Kushida said with adoring eyes.

My hands were inside my pockets. I nodded as a 'Yes'. Listening to what she has to say, wouldn't harm me. So why not? Maybe I could also find something.

We headed to 'Pallet'.

"Have you gone there?" Kushida asked while I walked alongside her.

"Isn't that a place girls tend to visit?" I answered.

"Well, yea. They do. But there are guys too~"

I glanced at her. She was happy. Smiling. Did something happen?

"You are smiling quite lately, haven't you?" I questioned. Why are you so happy, always? She should distribute her 'happiness' with the sad ones. It would help them a lot.

"Huh? Oh nothing...Its just that how nice it is to imagine that You, Sakura, Erza are getting along~" She said.

"Were you particularly worried about us?"

"Ah..yes! Of course, you're all my classmates so yea. But I am so worried about Horikita."

Horikita? She would not even think of having friends.

"Can you ask her to visit with you, Sakura, Erza and me, to somewhere, someday?"

Knowing Horikita she WOULD decline, without a thought. Erza, would totally avoid her. And Sakura, I think she would or wouldn't go, if Erza is not there? So, the chance of them along with Kushida and Horikita, to visit somewhere TOGETHER, is very low.

"Do I have to come?" I asked. I have no intention of becoming an intruder.

"Yes! Definitely! You will be the one helping me anyway...So you have to come!" She said. But I never said 'Yes'?

We reached our destination.

True, the cafe, 'Pallet' is for Girls. 98% of the customers are Girls. 2% were Boys. Well, Boys with either having Girls around them or Having Girlfriends. So, what am I even doing here?

"Hey! Look there is Koenji!" Kushida pointed towards the corner of the cafe, where the eccentric guy sat, with his legs stretched on the table, feets crossed.

"He sure is popular." I said. He was surrounded by girls. Not the girls of our class, but rather, Second-Years or Third-Years.

"Rokusuke~ please open your mouth~" One girl said as she made him eat her food.

"Kya! You are so cute~" Some exaggerated.

Most of the screaming of girls due to excitement came from that specific table.

We went to the counter and I placed an order of a normal cappuccino. Kushida took one latté.

"So about the thing which I wanted to say was..." Kushida started. As we sat down.

"Is this about whether I have conveyed your words to Erza?" I asked.

"Well its not like I dont want to know, but also I am worried about both Erza and Horikita."

"What exactly do you mean by 'worried'?"

"They are totally out of the class. Like they dont really have a proper conversation with the classmates. What if they get bullied?" Kushida said.

BULLYING is a strong word. Knowing them, they could be targeted but.

"I also dont perform a proper conversation with my class mates." I told.

"I am also worried about you"

OH?

The waitress served us with our orders.

"So you want me to fix a get-together with those three along with you and me, right?" I said.

The cup is warm.

"Um...yes...I am so sorry asking you for favours, all the time!" She apologized.

Favours. I dont want to do favours. But as long as it doesn't harm me or bring me any kind of trouble its fine, I guess.

"Not an issue. But I dont know, how can I do that?"

Problem is Horikita. Not that she even considers me a Human Being. More like a problem. Never really did anything to her, though.

"Aren't you close with Horikita?" Kushida asked after sipping her latté.

Me and Horikita?

"Accordingly to circumstances, no we are not." I answered.

"But don't you guys sit beside each other?"

"The answer is same. No."

"Atleast, what's her favourite food or colour or anything, she might have talked about?" Kushida Still questioning me. All I could do was listen. There was nothing I could do.

I simply shaked my head. There is nothing to talk. About Horikita I have no idea. Well, about Erza also, I have no idea. Though, I can still understand even a little bit of Erza.

"I see. Sorry for dragging you into this." Kushida's voice dropped.

"Well, not like I was any much of a help." I said as I took the last sip of my cappuccino. "Is there anything else you want?"

"Ah...No. Hey! Ayanokouji, we should exchange num-- Erza!" As her eyes trailed from me to the figure on the counter. Erza is here? Great timing as always.

"Lets go to her!" Kushida exclaimed. Well, that might be a bad idea. Anyway, lets see.

"Sure". I said.

[ Erza POV ]

I came to this café. Before, I did came with Sudou. But, being alone makes it more refreshing. I was in the counter. Thinking which one I should try. Coffee flavour is the kind of taste, I prefer.

I was about to give my order, when I suddenly felt a tap on my shoulders. I turned to see, the one Kushida Kikyou. And Ayanokouji. Tch.

"Yes?" I spoke. Even though I dont want to. Still, I have to face my 'classmates' properly. Even though its not much of my character.

Kushida smiled at me. That one 'Annoying' smile, which others 'like'. Well, I didnt wear any expression of disgust. Of course. I have no intention to.

"Are you also here to try the most delicious coffee and cake?" She asked. Ayanokouji was at the back of Kushida. Putting his hand inside his Red coloured School Overcoat pocket.

"I am the same as everyone here, isn't it?" I said, without showing any kind of interest to talk with her.

"Ah yes...we are also here, see we are sitting there, would you like to-" Kushida pointed towards their seat as she continued.

"I'd rather sit alone." I wont sugar-coat my words. I really don't care what you think. You are so suspicious.

"Why? All I want is want to sit with you and talk." Her voice dropped.

"Well, that is purely, your wish but it isn't mine." I sighed. "Or do you only consider your own feelings?" I narrowed my eyes.

She widened her eyes at me. Shocked? Maybe. Who cares?

I distracted my eyes from her to the counter. Finally giving my order.

"Hey. Erza. It won't hurt you to sit with us. Even Ayanokouji is here!" Kushida went on changing my mind. Does she have no self-respect? Tiring.

"Is that the only reason you think will make me change my mind?" I said back. Kushida didn't make any eye-contact."Dont you see, I am not interested? By the way, this is making me curious. But what do you need from me, that you are so persistent in having a conversation with me?" I narrowed my eyes.

I was calm. I dont want to give in to this kind of 'low' situations.

"But isn't it normal that classmates talk with each other?"

"It is. But I am not interested in talking with you. But, even if we SIT and TALK. It will be totally one-sided. And that will be purely insulting from your side." I gave an explanation to her. "Unless you want it that way, I am always ready to go. Your choice." I concluded.

Hope she will leave me alone. NOW.

Ayanokouji. This guy sure is having fun. Are you trying to see, how much I am capable in handling situations? Well.

My order came and the woman at the counter gave me the coffee.

"Erza...Do you not like me?" Kushida asked as her head was put down.

"I think of you as normal as an individual, but I dont personally like your 'personality'." I said as I grabbed my coffee cup and paid for it by my Remaining Points. And went from there. Sorry, not sorry.

Well now, 'comfort' Kushida, Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.

I was on my way to the class. Until, I felt a presence coming from behind. I moved other side. It was Body reaction. Practice made my body like this.

"Ahh!!" Kushida screamed lightly as she stopped running and balanced herself. "So close! How did you know that I was coming towards you?" Kushida giggled.

Just what is wrong with her? I clearly told her not to act so friendly.

"What is it, again?" I asked. As I furrowed my eyebrows at her. Slightly.

"I don't care what you think. I wanna be friends. Ah- Ayanokouji you are here!" She exclaimed.

I saw Ayanokouji standing beside me. Come to think of it, he really didn't say anything. Throughout the situation.

"Lets exchange contact numbers! Ayanokouji and Erza!" Kushida ask.

"Why should I?" I said.

".....Yea. Sure." He said.

Though, we said our answers in sync.

So he will exchange contact info? With Kushida, huh? Well, I dont care. Of course, he doesn't wary her, unlike me.

"Erza please. I just want to be friends with my classmates. Otherwise, I wont get to reach my goal of being friends with my classmates." She looked at me with 'doe' eyes. Is that what it was? Making me please, by her appearance?

Cheeky girl.

"Is that why you want to be acquaintances?" I asked.

"Yes. But moreover! I really want to be your friend. Mutually." She said as she stood in front of me.

As long as she doesn't disturb me , its fine, I guess.

"Ayanokouji. Please tell me your number." With that they both exchanged contact numbers.

I didn't think of her aiming for my Number, though.

"Don't disturb me for any irrelevant reasons. If not, I ll delete your number without your conscience." I said as she again smiled at me.

"Hehe! Thank you!" She gave me her number, which I saved. And I also gave my own number.

"....I. Cant. Believe" . Kushida said as she looked at her mobile. I stared at her.

"Thank you Erza!!!!" She at once, hugged me.

What type of silly action is this? Why? I glanced at Ayanokouji, who in turn, turned away his eyes from me.

"Excuse me, Kushida." I said to her.

She released me from her bear-type hug as she giggled. "Sorry. I just thought you wouldn't give me your number! Guess, now you are my friend! But aren't you cute?"

Friend? No. Cute? The heck? I furrowed a little.

"Exchanging numbers doesn't itself means we are close, alright? I dont know what kind of definition you have regarding 'Friends', but I dont think its quite right." I said to her.

"Its fine. As long as I can be helpful!" She grinned.

"Ah! I am sorry, I forgot we also have to go to the class." She stick out her tongue, in a joking manner. "Why don't you guys exchange numbers too? It will be great!"

"Well-" Me and Ayanokouji's voice synced. We glanced at each other.

"Well, we already did that. No worries." Ayanokouji said.

Kushida's lips were left parted for a while. As she blinked.

"Yea but Ayanokouji didn't you say-- Um...anyway awesome then...umm" She looked at me and then at Ayanokouji and smirked. "I am going, first! Bye!!" She hurried from there.

I felt Ayanokouji's eyes on me for a moment. Why did she hurried off like that? Well, not like it matters, specifically.

"I wonder if she thought something weird?" Ayanokouji spoke to me for the first time after coming here.

"You could've been a bit useful, if you wanted." I said not regarding his sentence he said before.

We were walking.

"I knew there was nothing for me to do." He declared.

"How so?"

"You don't hate her, rather her personality, so knowing you, the individual wont be hated by you at least. And the way you are, as long as she dont be a threat, its fine to be an acquaintance, at least." He said. He knew.

"You are quite sharp aren't you?"

" Guess, its Normal observation?"

"Sure, go on telling me 'that'. I dont mind." I mocked. "By the way, what did you meant before? Also what did you say to Kushida?"

Our eyes met.

"....Its irrelevant. Nevermind that." He answered. With a PAUSE.

"Are you sure?" I asked suspiciously. He clearly meant something.

"Yes. I am sure." He said. I sighed.

[ Erza POV end ]

( A little before Wistaria went from the cafe )

I didn't think of coming between their conversation. Kushida was trying her best befriending with Erza. She was persistent to know her personally. I dont really see a False statement in that. The kind of person, Erza is, surely can catch attention of 'pure' girls like Kushida. The personalities are pole opposite.

"Erza...Do you not like me?" Kushida asked.

Erza was saying the exact same thing going on her mind; no sugar-coating. She is not really the type to consider any 'random' individuals feelings, before speaking.

"I think of you as normal as an individual, but I dont personally like your 'personality'." She threw her right words; the words she said to me before. And went from the scene. My eyes followed her as she went. Oh well.

Kushida stood there with her head down. My hands were inside the pocket. I stared at her, with no such intention to console the girl standing in front of me.

"Are you okay?" Nevermind, I asked her. Why.

Kushida looked straightforward as she turned towards me.

"Ayanokouji! I am gonna ask her to give me her number! I know the chances are slim! But still, I am gonna try. I dont want her to hate me!" She clenched her fists which were positioned close to her chest.

"Aren't you worried about 'rejection'?" I asked further.

"I...I am... but.... I wanna be friends with her. No matter what!"

"Why do you even want to be friends with someone who consider you as a mere classmate?" I asked.

Her eyes widened at my question.

"I told her before, its because we are classmates."

That wasn't the truth was it? Then why were you shocked the both time, when she asked you and when I asked you as well?

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"...Yes..." She answered me in a shadowy manner.

Guess, I ll consider that answer.

"Dont worry about me! I ll be just fine! C'mon lets chase after her." She said as she motioned to go quickly.

My cappuccino. Ah. My 'Points'. Did I finish my Cappuccino? I dont remember. But, I think I did.

Before, I could even go to check my cup. I was already outside the café. Kushida was looking for Erza. Guess, she is really very desperate.

"Ah! Found her!" She at once ran towards her. Like a storm she was here a minute ago, like storm she went from here.

I sighed, as I started walking. Well, Erza was walking slowly, so she didnt went too far. I took my time as I went.

Erza probably wont notice her and would get surprised? Or would she not? Her surprised face. Hmm. I want to see that reaction.

Kushida ran towards her. But, she dodged her. Great, she is more sharper than I thought? She is really one of a kind, isn't she?

I walked towards them. Looking at the situation. Erza doesn't seem too pleased with the fact about Kushida chasing after her.

"I don't care what you think. I wanna be friends. Ah- Ayanokouji you are here!" Kushida exclaimed as she was being determined.

She asked about Me and Erza, exchanging numbers with her.

I was okay, but seems like Erza had some other plans. Well, okay. I dont mind. I dont hate Kushida.

"Erza please. I just want to be friends with my classmates. Otherwise, I wont get to reach my goal of being friends with my classmates." Kushida asked her acting cute. Does she think using petty tricks like these on Wistaria, will make her say 'yes'?

If you ask me the answer, then I'd say the probability is 50/50. Taking the chance of her saying 'yes' will purely be because, of Kushida's 'unique' reason. She might take pity on her.

Taking the chance of her saying 'No' will purely be because she dont want to get associated with her, 'cause she'll think Kushida might become to strangled with her. DEEP SOCIAL ASSOCIATION, which Erza despise.

"Is that why you want to be acquaintances?" Erza asked.

Kushida said, that she honestly wants to become her friend but the feeling should be mutual. Guess, she was telling the truth. On the second thought, its Kushida anyway.

Afterwards, I exchanged contact info. with Kushida.

Later, Erza said 'Yes'. Guess, change of heart, happens. As they both exchanged the same.

"Thank You!! Erza! " Kushida exclaimed as she jumped onto Erza to hug her. This is a moment to capture, I guess.

Erza glanced at me. I turned my eyes around from her. Sorry, but I dont know, what to do either. I am the same as you.

"Excuse me, Kushida." Erza said. Kushida got too excited. She was hopeless, before. I see.

Hopelessness. A feeling or state of despair; lack of hope. Knowing and feeling 'this' is not a very good experience.

"Sorry. I just thought you wouldn't give me your number! Guess, now you are my friend! But aren't you cute?" Kushida exclaimed.

Cute. Well, she is not false regarding that. She is really cute when she smiles. But, she smirks as if everything is amusement to her. Not like, its boring here. It is interesting for me too, since you are here Wistaria.

Later she asked, about me and Erza, exchanging numbers. To know each other better?

"Well-" Me and Erza both said in Unison. We looked at each other. Just what should I tell? I knew well that, Erza wants me to say something. Fine.

"Well, we already did that. No worries." I said it out. I guess that is satisfactory to Erza. I neither said about us being 'friends' or something more than that.

"Yea but Ayanokouji didn't you say-- Um...anyway awesome then...umm" She looked at me and then at Ayanokouji and smirked. "I am going, first! Bye!!" She went her own way. She DID think something weird. I glanced at Erza. She and me? Utterly impossible.

"I wonder if she thought something weird?" Why did I even ask her that?

"You could've been a bit useful, if you wanted." Oh well. She didn't even consider my question.

I told her that there was nothing for me to do. Of course, in return she asked me why I thought like that. She doesn't hate Kushida as an individual, rather her 'so-called' personality, according to Erza. I dont quite understand why Erza thinks like that.

"You don't hate her, rather her personality, so knowing you, the individual wont be hated by you at least. And the way you are, as long as she dont be a threat, its fine to be an acquaintance, at least." You are still kind of 'generous', though you put that cold face. Well, you are Human.

You are quite sharp aren't you?" Erza asked me as she stared at me from her corner of her eyes.

" Guess, its Normal observation?" Lie. Its not at all 'Normal', the observation is because its 'you'.

"Sure, go on telling me 'that'. I dont mind." Did she just mocked me?

"By the way, what did you meant before? Also what did you say to Kushida?" There she goes now.

Our eyes met.

"....Its irrelevant. Nevermind that." Lets not make her angry.

"Are you sure?" She asked suspiciously.

"Yes. I am sure." I said. I dont want a death glare from her. No way. She sighed. Our conversation is making her bored, huh?

We were walking. To our classroom. There was silence between us. Still a distance maintained between us. We were neither close nor too distant from each other, I guess. Still, I didn't hate the silence. It was comforting in its own way. I wonder, why?

We came to our classroom. I went to my own place and she went to hers. Kushida was also there. Horikita looked at me as I sat.

"Can't you answer my question?" Horikita asked suddenly.

"About what?" I asked back.

"About you and Erza, I didn't think you'd actually befriend her." She looked at me from the corner of her eyes.

I looked at her. I wonder if Erza can listen. Isn't this the Third Time, she asked this? Guess, she won't give up.

"Does she make you curious?" I asked. She does, doesn't she?

"....I might be a little, moreover, she looks like the type to regard not having friends. So that is why I asked you the question." Horikita answered. So she makes you curious. Actually knowing a superior 'You' , sure makes one interested.

"Sorry to say, but we are now just acquaintances. Nothing else." I answered as I looked to the front and glanced at Wistaria.

"....I see." She said.

There was silence between me and Horikita. But the silence is more like uncomfortable.

" Why dont you befriend with Erza, then?" I suddenly asked this question out of nowhere.

"Excuse me, but what?" Horikita said in a confused tone.

"If you are curious about her. I might regard that, she piques interest within you. She can be your 'potential' friend, too."

"....Well, I don't want unnecessary relationships like 'Friends', but if its about simply being Acquaintances, I dont mind for a short talk. But I dont think that will be a good idea. Rather, I am fine, with the way it is."Horikita answered.

For the first time, she wasn't rude to me. Guess, Erza's words from THAT day, hit hard to her. Not that its bad, this way. I prefer this.

"I see. That one is a good thought."

"I don't want you to say, whether my thoughts are uprighted or not." Horikita went back to her usual cold way. Guess, its really not easy to change a person for the better. But still, Erza's words did affect her. Atleast, she thought about talking with her.

Our classes started some time ago. Still, we talked, softly.

( After Classes )

I was packing my bags to go home. I dont have any kind of schedule planning or something. But I want to sleep.

Kushida came to me.

"Ayanokouji! Listen!" Kushida came and banged her hands on my table. "Erza and Sakura listen too!" She turned her head towards Erza, who, slightly, turned her head towards her. Sakura seems to be confused.

" Whats wrong Kushida?" Sakura asked meekly.

"Horikita, please stay, I need to talk." Kushida requested Horikita. The cold girl on the other side, was wearing a 'not-interested' face.

" Sorry, but I am not interested." Horikita spoke with a straight face.

"Umm... Horikita, if she is asking.. please." Sakura asked her softly.

Horikita turned her eyes towards Sakura. "No." A straight decline.

"Total of Five minutes, won't do any harm, I suppose. Or do you think in five minutes you will be able to reach your dorm?" Erza stated with her eyes focused on Horikita.

"It is not like that. I have some 'personal' issue, to deal with." Horikita also stared at Erza.

"Your time still is ticking. If you said a 'Yes' from the beginning, you could have left the room by now. But here you are, still talking."

I was looking at Horikita. Her body stiffened. Well, Erza was right. I wonder why Horikita, still didn't leave the room. Erza, continued to gaze upon Horikita with her 'cold' eyes.

Horikita sighed. "Five minutes, then I will leave. Finish quickly."

Erza made her change her mind. Hmm.

A sudden change of expression from being nervous to happy, was evitable on the face of Kushida.

"Thank you Horikita!" She sighed in relief and at once she continued. "I was wondering if Horikita, Erza, Ayanokouji, Sakura and Me, could go somewhere together! To know each other bett-"

"No." Horikita declined and turned to the go. Kushida swiftly went and held her hand.

"Please. It will be really great. If we all can be friends. Those three are already acquaintances. I dont want you to get bullied or anything. Please, Horikita!" Damn. At this point. Its a pity how hard Kushida is trying. Erza's eyes were left a little gaped.

"I dont think its a bad idea. Can't we do it, Horikita? It will be good to be friends with you." Sakura said as her fists clenched in front her chest. She is nervous but she still is speaking. Brave.

Horikita slapped Kushida's hands. " I want to be alone and that is why I am alone. Please dont be too friendly. I gave you five minutes , not to speak nonsense." She started to move.

"Was that nonsense?" Erza spoke. Her hands slipped inside her hoodie.

"Excuse me?" Horikita was annoyed. Visible in her tone.

"I mean its totally your personal decision, whether you want to come or not. But, the way you spoke was insulting to the other person. Atleast could've put in other way or change the tone?" She said.

She also did the same back in the cafe. But, it wasn't this rude. Also, Erza didn't push Kushida back during the hug. She considers her 'classmates' properly unlike Horikita.

" I dont want to consider others feelings." Horikita answered.

"Well, I guess the same goes for me, but there is a way to put it in a little soft manner, or don't you know how to talk?" Erza stated.

"....Its not like you're gonna go. So, why bother?"

"Well, she is someone, I guess, whom I consider an acquaintance, so yes, it matters." Erza really said that. She is kind-hearted.

"Umm... Erza... you--" Kushida was cut off by the glare of Erza. No disturbance.

Sakura stared at Erza with a surprise. Guess, you got to see a new side of Erza. Well, I am surprised too.

Erza came and stood in front of Horikita.

The Emerald eyes and the Reddish eyes made contact.

"How about Kushida deserving an apology along with a proper declination of the offer?" Erza demanded. "From you."

Horikita hesitated. I didn't say anything. It was between the girls. I was just observing quietly. Amusing.

"And if I dont?" Horikita finally spoke without breaking the eye-contact.

"You will." Erza said with confidence as she narrowed her eyes at her. "You know you are at fault ; you hesitated. I hope you remember what I said before, the only first time I 'talked' with you, right?"

She really dragged IT. Good going.

Horikita eyed at Kushida and said, "I am sorry but I wont go to wherever you want 'us' to go."

Erza turned her head towards Kushida. And her eyes laid on Horikita who spoke.

"Umm..okay...I wished if you said 'Yes'." Kushida smiled nervously.

"No one wants you to smile right now. Stop Smiling." Erza's eyes showed 'Disgust' at the attitude of Kushida. The air is heavy.

"Huh?" Kushida was caught offguard by Erza.

"Excuse me." With that Horikita left. I sighed. What a tense situation.

Sakura went to Erza. Kushida stood there as she stared at Erza, who was talking with Sakura. Guess, everthing is 'Normal' except Kushida. She seems shocked.

"Are you oka-" I was cut off.

"Erza....you are so different than other girls...Thank you." She whispered.

Oh. Okay. But you should say it aloud.

"Ah-- did you say something?" Kushida woke from the trance she was in and faced me.

"No its fine." I stood and took my bag. Others took their bags too.

A good nap will be good. After this.

Sakura and Kushida went first. It was only me and Erza. I went to her.

She looked at me. "Is there anything you want to say?"

" Yes. You were cool."

"Oh. Thanks for the compliment. But what's the real deal?" She said.

"....Why did you defend Kushida? Did you pity her?" She knew I had other intentions.

"Nothing special. I did it the very way, like the time, I defended you the first time." She stated.

"I wanted to ask you, why did you do that?" I asked her. I am curious.

"....Actually, your 'Self-introduction' piqued my interest." Just that?
