No Escape

"They'd like to buy back what you stole. We're proud of you, Hamlord. You will make a great Phantom Fist."

"I had a good feeling about him," One of the guards nodded his head. He took off his black helmet and smiled with a wistful expression. "He really seemed to be listening when I talked about my dance career. Looks like we don't have to execute this one Sylvia."

"I'm confused?" Harvard cleared his throat. He pulled out the brown chair and sat down at the table.

It was a small table that had four seats in a space that looked like it was full of stolen merchandise. A few orange legendary items seemed to be on the shelves to his right. There had to also be dozens of epic items! Harvard looked at the guards and then at Sylvia. "Let me guess. You own the black market I stole from?"

"She doesn't just own them! She robs all the merchandise we sell!" The guard that told him a story about dancing nodded his head. "Ha, she's practically considered the 10th most powerful person in Bane Root Kingdom!"

"My mother knew her way around the king," Slyvia smiled slyly and pointed at the table. "Now show us what you stole, and we'll buy them back. Then, it's time for you to rob my father! I've been wanting to get something back for years!"

"I thought-I thought I only needed one quest to unlock the hidden class," Harvard put the six items he stole on the table. "Do-I do I have a choice in the matter?"

"We'll buy these back for one thousand Logram!" Slyvia tossed a small bag at Harvard which hit him because he didn't want to catch it. He just wanted the hidden class already, so he could go and level up. "Now, go rob my father! He'll be happy to meet you!"

[Quest Update: Rob the Cradle]

[Slyvia's father is the 2nd most powerful noble in all of Bane Root Kingdom. He retired after reaching level 80 and has since lived a life of luxury with his dozens of women. However, there has been one item he never gave back to his daughter no matter how much she asked. Please rob a small necklace he keeps with him at all times that belonged to her mother.]

[Difficulty: D-]

[Failure will amount to loss of the Phantom Hand class.]

"I-I don't like this quest. You-you want me to rob a level 80 person? Are you nuts? How the hell am I going to do that?"

"I don't know, but you're now part of Black Fist Tavern. There is no escape from the Phantom Hands! The only escape is death or success!"

"I can dance to that, haha!" The guard got up and started to jig while singing a song. Harvard wanted to hit him with all his might, but he didn't have that option! He got up and smiled before slowly walking towards the exit. Maybe if he escaped from the town, they couldn't follow him.

"Oh, Harvard! I'll have Merry follow you just so you can't run away!" Slyvia waved when he turned around and looked from the door. Slyvia had the most gorgeous gold eyes that looked like some of his most notorious clients when he was a lawyer. She looked nice, but could kill you and probably still sleep at night pretty easily. "She's beautiful! Consider her your ally in crime until the quest is complete! See you tonight at my father's mansion!"

'I-I have to escape! There is no way I'm going to that damn mansion!'

###

There was no escape.

Harvard looked to his right and saw Merry in a short black skirt that hugged her hips so well you could practically see every part of her body. She had on a white top, and looked like a normal human model. Harvard had to remind himself that NPCs probably looked like humans for a reason. It made it easier for ghost Adventurers to approach them, and trick them! The more innocent the NPC looked, the more likely they probably had a nefarious purpose!

Merry had long slender legs that looked as pure as jade and white as snow. As he looked up her body one time quickly, she even had a perfect back. He wondered if King Yama designed all NPCS to be this beautiful, or she used to look like this in her other life.

"Welcome to Count Sylvester's Mansion. Do you have an invitation?"

"Yes," Merry pulled two out of her bag. "This man will be trying to steal from the count tonight! Wish him luck!"

"I hope not," The guard smiled and pointed at a table. An auction seemed to be going on for some rare items with a few people fighting. "You're to seat right next to the gentlemen from the Silver Harvest Guild. The Count will be out in a few minutes."
