Chapter 11 - Healing Potion

"Master, wake up."

Jeffrey was grunting after he heard a vague sound.

It sounded familiar to him, but who was it?

"Master, wake up."

Soon after, the sound slowly could be heard by him. That monotone voice... It was Page.

He felt his whole body heavy like a load was upon it.

He slowly opened his eyes and the light from the sun welcomed him.

There was a familiar sound of Oximeter beside him.

"Did I make it back to my room?" He asked Page.

"Yes, master. The circle you entered earlier was the way out of that place."

Right. He remembered the incidents before. After he met with 3 different kinds of monsters, he entered a circle in front of him and he had fainted.

He couldn't remember before Page told him.

"Notification," He said and a window showed up.

He opened the notification before he fainted and saw an interesting notification.

[ Do you want to claim the rewards? (Y/N) ]

He quickly accepted it and new notifications showed up.

After he claimed it, he looked at his status and said, "Status Window."

Looking at his status, he terribly felt gloomy.

'Why the heck did i fall asleep ?' He scolded himself in his heart.

After a while, he looked at his level and there was an addition called EXP.

"Page, what is EXP?"

"Master, EXP is the abbreviation of experience. It is used to raise your level. If you collect a lot of EXP, then you can level up."

"So, it is like that. Then, where is the Healing Potion?"

"Healing Potion is not a part of your status window, so you can check it in Storage." Page explained with her usual tone.

"Storage? Where is it?"

Before Page could reply, a notification window showed up.

[ Congratulations! You have unlocked The Storage feature ]

[ Storage (1 / 10)

- 1 Healing Potion ]

"Master, you have to drink it if you want to heal yourself quickly.'

"How can I drink it?"

"Just said 'Healing Potion' and see what happens."

When he heard Page say that, he quickly said it. "Healing Potion."

[ You request the Healing Potion. Do you want to use it? (Y/N) ]

"Yes."

Suddenly, he felt warm in his right hand and when he raised his hand to be looked at, his eyes widened.

"Wow!"

A glow of blue light covered his hand and suddenly an appearance of a blue bottle could be seen by his eyes.

After the glow of light disappeared, he grabbed the bottle and shook it.

He could feel some liquid in there and look amazed by it.

This was the first time he experienced that storage feature. In his second life, if the people wanted to store something, they would need a bag. It was practically the same as the modern earth.

However, in his third life, to have a magical thing like this, it needs a special bag called Spatial Bag.

It was like a Doraemon's Magic Pouch. It looked like a bag, but you can put everything inside the bag. The more expensive the bag that it could store even a cupboard inside.

"Master, you can drink it." Page snapped himself from his world and he nodded.

He opened up the lid and drunk it.

He couldn't sure what the taste it was. It didn't taste good nor bad, but he could slowly felt his condition has turned better.

He tried to check it himself, "Status."

Jeffrey smiled at the result of the Healing Potion. He wondered if he could get more of it.

"Page, can I get more Healing Potion?"

"No, you can't. However, if you want to get it, you can try to skip your Daily Quest again."

"..."

Experiencing The Penalty's mission once again, he immediately answered, "No, thank you."

He looked at the window and it seemed like it still morning.

"Alright, let's raise up my point first and finish the Daily Quest."

Meanwhile, in the government office, a man with black hair and black eyes focused himself on his work.

He was almost 30 years old but looked like a man in their twenties.

His office door suddenly opened up and he saw a woman with her teary eyes.

"Helen? What happened?" Zach immediately stood up as he felt worried about his wife.

"Zach, you have to come with me to the hospital. Jeff was.... hiks... Jeff—"

Zach embraced his wife before he asked, "What happened to our son?"

Helen with a little sob answered, "The hospital called me and said that he was found unconscious by the nurse at the midnight."

"Can we go back? I really want to make sure with my own eyes if he's okay."

Zach and Helen were currently abroad doing some work for their country. Yet, they couldn't do anything to their only child when he needed them the most.

"You go back, first. I'll catch you up. I'll call Eden to accompany you, okay?"

Helen just nodded with a little cry. Zack then called Eden to book a ticket to come back.

After that, he looked at his wife with worry.

He walked slowly and cupped her face, "Honey, look at me."

At first, Helen still closed her eyes but slowly, she opened up her eyes and looked at her husband's eyes.

"Listen, he will be alright. Remember the last time we visited him? Turns out that he was alright and cheerful, right? This is the same as last time, trust me."

Hearing his words, Helen's heart became calmer than before.

"Our son is the strongest child in the world, remember? I am the strongest dad in the world while you are the strongest mom in the world. What makes our baby couldn't be the strongest?"

"Right, right. You are right. He will be alright. He must be."

Zach smiled as he felt his wife's mood was a little better than before.
