First Visit

He stopped in front of door number 15 from the section C, adjusted his black glasses and entered the room.

As stated in the file, the room was padded, preventing the patient from doing any type of damage to himself.

-Jaemin?

The body dressed in white, stirred a little on the bed where he was sitting with his gaze to the floor.

Yunki took two steps ready to get closer but remembered that the boy did not like physical contact, so he decided to stay at a safe distance.

-Hi, I'm Dr. Min. -Said with a smile.

The youngest muttered things inaudible to Yunki and played with his little fingers, a sign of his nervousness.

-Can you introduce yourself? -He asked in a soft tone, as if speaking to a child.

-New hospital, new Doctor -the blond guy said.

-Exactly. You are on a new Hospital, Jaemin. And I'm your new Doctor.

He tried to get a little closer to what the minor quickly looked up, connecting his gaze with the doctor's. Yunki expected to see an empty and lost look like the other patients he treated used to have. But he was shocked to see the brown orbs glow in the dim light that illuminated the room. He was attracted by the confused but effusive look that the boy gave him. His eyes were small universes trying to tell a story, one that he wanted to learn.

-S...sorry - He mentally hit himself for not sounding professional at the time.

-They are too loud. Tell the to shut up... -he barely said in a small voice, covering his ears.

-Who, Jaemin? -apparently the patient was beginning to hallucinate.

-The k...kids -said the blond guy, pointing to a blind spot on the wall.

-Don't worry, they'll soon get tired and will leave, okay? -the opposite nodded. -I have to go now, Jamin, but tomorrow I'll come to visit you.

The named did not answer and Yunki decided to leave the room and go to his office to read the minor's file more thoroughly, he had decided that it would be his patient.

He went in and dropped into the comfortable chair at his desk, he had to finish the paperwork from a while ago and verify that the patients had their prescriptions up to date.

The door was opened and Yunki didn't even bother to look, since he already knew who the only person was who entered without knocking.

-This is a disaster! Why don't you hire more people? -the tall, brown haired man sat in one of the chairs in front of the desk and took a paper to fan himself.

-What do you think I've been doing, Seok? But it is not that simple. Not everyone is trained to work with these types of patients. -Yunki spoke, snatching the paper his friend had, earning a glare from the older.

-Well, you have to do something, there are too many patients for so little staff that we have and you know very well that section D cannot be neglected for even a second.

-I know. -he answered sighing.

The Psychiatric Hospital was divided into 4 parts. Section A, was where the patients who did not have such a serious problem were found and would most likely be discharge in one or two days. In section B were the patients who required a slightly longer stay, two to there months and could receive visits. Section C was a restricted area where only hospitals staff could access. In this were patients with more serious problems, mostly patients in section C were hospitalized for several years, sometimes for life. Also in this are they have padded rooms. And finally the section D, this was strictly guarded by several security guards. It was the most dangerous area of the entire psychiatric hospital. Here were the most violent and dangerous patients, most of the time they were kept in straitjackets and all the rooms are padded.

The hospital also had a recreation area, where they allowed some patients to go out to eat and interact with others, just like in the garden, but all this under strict surveillance.

-I heard they transferred a patient from Busan -said Seok.

-Yes, I just came from his room.

-And? How is it?

-The boy suffers from schizophrenia and post-traumatic stress disorder, hallucinates frequently and does not usually communicate verbally, or at least not correctly.

-Delirium? -the pale skinned one nodded -Any medication that was administered to him in Busan?

-Antipsychotics and antidepressants, but I will be watching how his system reacts to them and how effective they are, because I think they are very strong drugs for someone so young.

-But Yunki, remember that the boy's diseases are not simple.

-I know, Seok but still I think I should lower the doses and increase the cognitive therapies.

The eldest nodded, after all it was his boss who spoke.

-So, are you gonna take care of him?

-Yes, I was planning to leave Sung-Ho in charge but he already has enough patients.

-How considerate, why aren't you like that with me? -he said with crossed arms.

-Come on, Seok. You know there is no better psychiatrist than you, that's why I need you in section D, you are the ace up my sleeve -said the pale one, winking at his friend.

-I accept it because you praised me, idiot.

Both friends laughed at themselves. Seokjoon and Yunki have known each other since they were teenagers. They both graduated together and when Yunki founded his first psychiatric clinic he contacted Seok to offer him a job. With the effort and work of both, they managed to create the best Psychiatric Hospital in all of Seoul and although they have basically become famous for their work, they are still the same duo of friends who used to joke in class, now with a little more maturity and a respectable position.

That day pass as usual, tomorrow surely is going to be more difficult.
