Rating Game

Now that the training camp was done Adam was waiting for Rias and everyone else to arrive at the school so they can teleport to the Underworld.

Not having to wait too long a magic circle appeared in front of him and everyone walked out of it.

They all seemed to have gotten stronger but only by a small amount. They could probably deal with everyone in Riser's peerage except Ravel, Yubellema, and Riser but Adam was surprised by how much they improved for the short amount of time they had.

They made their way inside of the ORC building and to wait for Grayfia to teleport them to the separate dimension.

Once they were all in the room, Sona and Tsubaki came walking in.

"We'll be doing the play by play for this match since it is your fists official rating game

Sona said.

"Try and stay unbiased Sona," Rias told her in a sarcastic voice.

"Of course" she responded in a stern voice.

Sona was about to leave and she was glad that Adam didn't say any remarks that would make her lose her composure in front of everyone.

Adam saw that she was trying to leave as soon as possible and had to say something "You aren't going to give me a good luck kiss?" he said in a disappointed tone.

As soon as she heard that, Sona's brain shut down. "W-wh-what are you talking about Adam?" she asked in a confused voice. She was lucky that no one could see her face or else they would know she was lying.

"I guess that's fine, see you later, Sona," Adam said.

Not staying there any longer Sona walked out as fast as possible.

"What was that about?" Mikasa asked in a questioning tone.

"Just a joke" Adam responded immediately.

Mikasa just continued to stare at Adam but before she could say anything else, Grayfia teleported into the room.

"Are you guys ready?" She asked

Everyone nodded to her and walked into the magic circle teleporting them from the room. Once the light was done flashing they saw that they were still in the same room.

"Did it not work again?" Issei asked

"No, it worked you can look outside. This is a separate dimension where we don't have to worry about damaging anything" Akeno said with a sadistic smile.

"R-right," Issei said.

"Now that we are here we need to make a plan to beat Riser," Rias said as she sat down on the main chair, closed her eyes, and began explaining ." Adam we are going to need your help with this" she was waiting for him to reply "Adam? Where did he go?" she opened her eyes and asked.

"I don't know where he went but he gave me this" Issei said while pointing to a paper he had. "It says 'I know you guys can do it good luck'" he said while reading the note.

"Why can't he just stay still for one second" Rias complained and looked towards Mikasa's direction.

"Don't look at me, I don't know either" Mikasa answered.

"It doesn't matter, let's just hope he comes out when needed. Now let's plan this out...." Rias then began to explain her strategy.

On top of the ORC Adam was sitting on the roof waiting for things to begin. He wanted to see how well they progressed with Mikasa in the mix. She is still a really good swordsman even if he never trained her. It's not that he didn't want to train her but that whenever he would try and explain how he does things and how he predicts his opponents' movements she would tell him that it didn't make any sense. The best he could do to help her was to make a training regime for her, the rest was just her own talent.

The first thing Adam noticed was how Riser didn't do any preparations or traps, he was just waiting for Rias and her peerage to arrive. Rias on the other hand placed traps all around her building and even had Akeno cast illusion magic.

To Adam, everything that Rias' was doing was full of flaws but it was probably the only thing she could do against an opponent that is far beyond your league.

Adam could see that Issei and Koneko had already made contact with Riser's three pawns and rook. Everything played out the same, including Issei using his magic power to break the girl's clothing. Adam made sure to remember to smack him in the head if he ever used that on someone close to him.

The fight progressed like it did in the series. But instead of Kiba fighting three people by himself, Mikasa helped him, and together they were able to defeat the opponents at a faster time.

What Adam did notice was different was that both knights the bishop and the rook all had one tear of Phenex each.

Adam didn't know why they would decide to use so many. Was Riser being cautious of him? That would probably be the case. Knowing that they wouldn't have a chance once they used the Phenex tears Adam decided it was time to help them.

He hovered on top of where everyone was at and decided to use magic. He never tried it before because he couldn't control it and it would probably destroy the are surrounding him.

Floating on top of them Adam used his mana and created thunder clouds on top of him on a city-wide scale.

With the lighting crackling above him, Adam shot a sword with his gate with a piece of paper attached to it towards Mikasa.

Mikasa and Rias' peerage were having a tough time against Riser's peerage because they had already taken the Phenex tears and all of them were getting picked off one by one. Kiba was the first to go, angering Issei. Koneko was then hit critically by a sword from Riser's Knight. Akeno was able to harm Yubelluna but got knocked out once she healed all her injuries. The only people left were Issei, Mikasa, Asia, and Rias.

"Your peerage really is full of weaklings Rias. I am surprised that the human girl there managed to survive all of this without dying. Hey you, why don't you join my peerage? You don't have to stay with that pathetic human that didn't even show up". Riser was mocking Adam for not even fighting.

"I'll pass on your offer weirdo" Mikasa responded in a disgusted tone.

"I guess you can join him in the afterlife then". Riser then proceeded to shoot his flames towards Mikasa but they only ended up taking her out of the game and not killing her.

Asia was doing her best to heal everyone the entire fight but it wasn't able to do much in the long run. She was eventually taken out by Riser's peerage after a couple of hits with their magic only leaving Issei and Rias.

They then teamed up on Issei and began to beat him to a pulp while an injured Rias watched and Riser laughed like a maniac.

"If you don't forfeit now then I will have no choice but to keep harming him," Riser said while making a fist filled with his flames and using his other hand to hold Issei.

She was about to agree with his proposal but stopped when she saw a golden flash coming towards her.

A sword landed next to her with a paper attached. It only said ' Move out of the way', so with the rest of her strength, she bolted towards Issei, picked him up, and ran away from Riser.

Near the thunderclouds, Adam watched the last part of the fight progressed. He knew that Mikasa wouldn't be harmed so he let her experience what a loss it in hopes it would make her stronger.

He also gained a little respect towards Issei. Even if he is a pervert that only thinks about breast his determination and courage are monstrous. So to make sure that their efforts weren't for nothing he decided that he would go big with his magic attack. It was about time people knew who he was.

Once he saw Rias retreating he unsealed his mana making the thunder clouds roar as if they had just awakened. The amount of lighting in the clouds was getting bigger and bigger. He then went a step further and began to push out his mana instead of just letting flow out. He aimed it towards the clouds with the intention of making the largest lightning bolt possible.

As seconds passed a lighting bolt began forming. It started as something that could be held in someone's hand and then it kept getting larger and larger. A minute later the lighting bolt was over the 200 meters hanging in the air.

All the higher up devils who were watching the match were now in a state of panic.

Lord Phenex who was watching the match in great anticipation was now in a foul mood "Who agreed to have this human join this match. This is the same person who has been causing a ruckus around here lately?!"

Grayfia who heard him yell announced to the few devils that were spectating the match. "Lord Riser was the one who asked the human to participate, Sir," she said in a monotone voice, but inside she was relieved that someone powerful decided to help Rias out.

"That idiot son of mine. At least he will learn humility from this" he said in a disappointed voice but he was still glad Riser would get something out of it.

Sona who was also spectating the match was in awe. She knew that Adam was strong with weapons but she never knew that he was the cause of the mana recently.

Adam was finally done charging the lighting, he had reached the limit he thought was necessary. Now all he needed was a name for it, everyone says that name of their moves so he decided to name it.

Choosing a name Adam launched the lightning bolt down towards Riser " Heaven's Touch!" he said as the lighting went hurling down at incredible speeds creating sonic booms the entire way down.

On the ground, they were all laughing at the thought of a human defeating them but they became quiet when they felt a shockwave push them back. They then saw sparks of lighting begin to gather in the atmosphere.

Not too long after they heard a thunder-like voice ring throughout the arena "Heaven's Touch!"

"Defense magic!" Riser yelled out to his peerage.

Everyone used any magic they had to place defense barriers around them but it was for naught, the lighting bolt passed through everything as if it didn't exist. Once it touched the ground, everything went silent, then a piercing shriek landed in everyone's ears. From the center of the strike zone, a blue ball of light could be seen expanding outwards vaporizing everything in its way.

Riser who saw the damage it was doing had a choice of leaving his peerage to die in the explosion but decided in using his flames to fight against the lighting. Expanding his flames to his peerage members so that they wouldn't die he managed to let them get taken out before they died. The only one left was Ravel who protected herself with her flames as well as Riser's flames.

The area of damage for the explosion went throughout the entire area disintegrating the school and anything that was in the area. Rias and Issei were almost caught in it as well but Adam took out Aegis and placed it in front of them. He made sure it was packed with his mana as well so that it didn't break.

Since he had used his flames to cover his peerage, Riser was hit by the brunt of the explosion and was gravely injured.

Adam witnessed all the events that happened after the explosion and was surprised by what occurred. But decided it was time to end the match, so with that in mind, he took out a normal looking European sword to finish Riser off. Once he had the sword in hand he proceeded to hover to the ground and walk towards the pair of siblings.

Ravel kneeled next to the injured Riser to try and heal him with her flames but it was barely working. She didn't get a chance to try anything else because she saw Adam walking towards them and got sacred for her brother's life. Getting up she shot her flames in Adam's directions and shouted " Stay away from him, you already won, you don't have to kill him".

"Relax, I'm not going to kill him, I also haven't won yet" Adam responded to her but didn't stop walking.

Ravel then tried to punch Adam but he easily dodged. He grabbed her by the back of her dress collar and lifted her up. He walked up to Riser and stabbed him in the stomach making it so that he would be sent back to his room.

"I was never fighting intending to kill anyone. If he hadn't saved his peerage then I would have made sure they weren't killed and the outcome would have been different" Adam said. "He isn't a person I would go out of my way to kill, he still has a sense of morality. You're a good sister, now you should go help your brother and his peerage" Adam finished saying while ruffling Ravel's hair.

"R-r-right, thank you very much" Ravel bowed towards him while hiding the rosy hue on her face.

"Lord Riser Phenex has been eliminated, Lady Rias wins" Grayfia announced.

"That human really is a monster, you did a good job making him help Rias, Grayfia," Sirzechs told her.

"Not at all My Lord, I didn't make him join, he joined out of his own choice" Grayfia corrected him.

"So that's how it is... Is there any way we can convince him to join Rias' peerage? Is there anything that he wants that we would be able to give him? Money? woman?" He asked.

"I believe that would be impossible My Lord" Grayfia replied.

"Why do you think so?" He asked with genuine curiosity.

"For the money, I don't believe he would need it. I heard the name, Adam Lochner multiple times when reviewing the house's companies and rivals. He is in almost every large company as a shareholder" she said and continued " And for the women, I don't believe he cares that much. Unlike the pervert pawn, he hasn't even given me a second look since we first met."

Hearing the explanation, Sirzechs was troubled about the matter. He would have to personally ask him when he got the chance.

"Let's leave that for another time, let's get going Grayfia," he said.

Grayfia only bowed as a form of confirmation.

Back with Rias and Adam, they were both with everyone else.

Adam was consoling a depressed Mikasa and Rias was getting treatment for everyone.

"Now that I'm done I'll be leaving," Adam said. "Have a nice day and enjoy your freedom Rias. Get well soon Akeno, Koneko, and you too Kiba." He said while patting Koneko's head which she didn't even try to stop and just enjoyed it.

Adam then teleported with Mikas and Asia back home but instead of staying with them, he left to find someone that has been in the town for a while.

Finding a large apartment building Adam ran up the window until he reached the room where he could find the person he was looking for.

"What brings you to my homely abode," A young-looking man with black hair and golden bangs said.

" I just wanted to know what the strongest fallen angel alive is doing in a town owned by devils?" Adam asked.

"You sure are good at this aren't you kid? So I'm guessing you're the one making a mess everywhere around this town?" the man asked.

"If you're talking about the mana then that would be me, what can I do for you?" Adam asked. 'At this point, it doesn't even matter who knows' Adam thought to himself. Everyone will probably already know he's the one making surges with mana.

"You aren't even trying to hide it?" the man questioned.

"It doesn't matter anymore," Adam said.

"Well, then I guess I finished one of my tasks," the man said talking to himself. "OH right I haven't introduced myself, My name is Azazel, leader of the fallen angels" Azazel introduced himself.

"Then I guess it's my turn, my name is Adam Lochner, just a normal human" Adam humbly introduced himself.

"Normal human huh?" Azazel sarcastically said but then thought about where he heard that name before. "Wait! You're Adam Lochner? The artist?!" he asked.

"Hmm, I do make paintings occasionally but I think I've only ever put one of them on auction," Adam said while thinking back on the only drawing he ever sold. He was forced to by Mikasa because she said it was a waste for no one to see his paintings

"I'm a huge fan, please let me buy more paintings," Azazel said while doing a 90-degree bow.

"What the heck?" Adam said."No, I don't sell my paintings" he clearly stated while getting away from Azazel. "Well, now that I know you're not doing anything weird I'll be leaving" Adam left before Azazel could say anything else.

"Jeez, why are is that kid such a monster" Azazel talked to himself as he took out a liquor bottle. "He just waltzed in here like it was nothing even with the thousands of traps and alarms that I had in this building. He wanted me to know he was coming as well, I really am getting too old for this" He finished complaining and gulped down the liquor bottle.

Adam decided to go home and explain things to Mikasa before she found out by herself.
