Purpose

They attempted to teleport straight into the house but were stopped by a force field. The force field redirected them towards the entrance instead.

"What was that?" Sona asked.

"It's something Adam placed when we first moved in, he said it was so that no one knew what was happening inside" Mikasa replied. She then unlocked the door with her own keys. "Let's hurry up before anyone notices.

They made their way through the door and they were all shocked by how luxurious the house looked from the inside. They saw beautiful drawings. paintings, and sculptures. Looking closer they saw that everything had the same signature on it.

"Did Adam make these?" Koneko asked

"Yes, he makes a lot of them. He told me it's one of the only things he found joy in doing" Mikasa replied since she knows the most about Adam.

"Hey guys is it just me or do all these paintings give the same feeling," Issei asked. Since he saw the first of the drawings he thought it felt lonely. "Don't they all make you feel alone?" he added.

"Now that you mention it, they do make you feel like you're by yourself". Once she looked over the drawings and paintings again, they all had the absence of life.

"You don't think Adam feels that way do you?" Akeno asked.

"I don't know, he's never mentioned it before". Mikasa didn't know why Adam would feel lonely.

In Adam's head at the moment he was trying to analyze the feeling he got when he wielded Ea. It was the last thing he needed to be able to make his own EX rank weapon. He could use Ea again but the sword was never meant to be used against itself. Adam was glad he used all of his luck in making sure that the earth's surface didn't get destroyed as a result of the weapons clashing.

As he was trying to analyze everything he felt, his brain was getting fried. Because of this, Adam was using his regeneration to the max so that his brain kept on working in order to find the last piece he needed for his weapon. Since he was trying his best to keep his brain working, the rest of his body was only getting a small amount of his regeneration resulting in the wounds healing slowly.

Once Adam was placed on his bed by Rias and Sona, he had finished analyzing the feeling. He was about to get up and make the weapon Immediately but passed out.

He then woke up and saw chaos around him, there was fire surrounding him and no signs of life.

"What's going on?" Adam questioned. He can't be placed under an illusion since his mana would disrupt the other person's own mana.

Looking around he saw dead bodies, looking closer he saw whose bodies they were, They were all the people close to him at the moment.

'BOOM' The ground shook. Adam looked to his side and saw a giant creature destroying everything. There was too much smoke to make out what it was but he could see it had seven heads. With that information, he already knew what it was but he didn't know how it could happen. It should have been sealed before any of that happens.

Walking down the broken road he recognized multiple faces but they weren't as important as what he was looking for. Reaching the end of the road he found who he was looking for.

Looking down with sadness in his eyes, tears began forming in his eyes. Adam then looked around to see if he could find himself, but he couldn't find anyone else.

"Why am I seeing this?" Adam asked himself but before he could question anything else he lost consciousness again.

Inside Adam's room, everyone was patiently waiting for Adam to wake up. They were trying their best to not invade his privacy but it was difficult to do that when you had tools lying around everywhere and a large table with a weapon diagram there.

The weapon that was being drawn was a large two-handed sword and next to the sword there was a perfect drawing of Adam with black armor next to him.

Everyone was curious about it but their thoughts were interrupted when they saw Adam's wounds start to heal.

"How is this possible?" Rias asked.

"I don't know. He told me it's been like that since he was born" Mikasa replied.

"That's the fastest healing I've ever seen. He isn't even using magic for it either" Sona added.

"Ugh, that feels horrible" Adam said while massaging his head. "It doesn't matter, I can finally finish my own noble phantasm". He was about to head towards his table but stopped when he saw his surroundings. "Thank you for bringing me home guys" he was about to head off to do some work but was stopped by a hit on the head.

"Mind explaining where you were?" Mikasa said, clearly angry.

"Ah right about that. Well before that let me apologize" Adam took a deep breath "I'm sorry" he said with pain in his eyes. Remembering what he saw, he couldn't help but feel like he failed her.

"It's fine, I forgive you. We can talk about that later, can you tell us what happened to you?" Mikasa replied.

"I was thinking too deeply and when I noticed, I was in a completely different place," Adam said

"Is this where you were?" Sona asked while turning on the T.V and switching to the news.

"We have been told that there were multiple terrorist attacks in Ogaki. There were only a small number of casualties but half of the city is in ruins" the reporter on the T.V said.

"I didn't know where I was but that mess was made by me," Adam said. He was also not happy that he couldn't save everyone. He tried his best by using his luck but Gilgamesh's monster luck was able to bypass his a few times.

"How are you going to fix that?" Mikasa asked.

"I'll have to rebuild it," Adam said. "I'll anonymously send the money to the officials there. If the wrong people were to find out who it was that I was fighting then I'd get really complicated haha" Adam said the last part while laughing.

"Who were you fighting?" Koneko asked.

"You don't need to worry about him since you won't be seeing him for a while. Not even he could survive that blast without serious injuries. Just know that he could easily wipe Japan out" Adam warned them.

"Japan?!" they all repeated in unison.

"It would be easy if he wanted to," Adam added. "Enough of that, let's go to the living room. It's weird having so many people in my room" he said, trying to get everyone out of his room.

Making their way to the living room no one mentioned the drawings but Adam could tell there was something wrong. He decided to ignore it and asked about the school instead. "What happened to the town then?".

"Tsubaki is currently rebuilding the school. They should be finished before class tomorrow" Sona answered.

"That's good, sorry for getting there late. Also, I see that you guys have questions you can ask what you want" he said because being stared at by all of them was getting annoying.

While everyone was busy asking Adam questions Xenovia got close to Mikasa. "Thank you for saving me," she said while bowing.

"I didn't save you. Adam was the one who saved you" Mikasa replied. "What else can I help you with?". Mikasa saw that she still wanted to say something.

"Can I stay with you guys? I don't have anywhere else to go. The God I thought I was fighting for is dead, so I don't know what to do anymore" Xenovia said while looking like a lost sheep.

"I would have no problem with that. It would be nice to have someone to train with. I can't practice with Adam because I don't like pointing my sword towards him and Asia isn't strong enough to fight me yet" she said. "But you have to ask Adam since it's technically his house," Mikasa added.

"I understand, I'll ask him, "Xenovia said. She then walked up to Adam and bowed "Please allow me to live with you, I'll offer everything up to you, my soul, my mind, and my body" she said.

"Huh?" Adam was confused at how things ended this way. He then looked towards Mikasa who was looking at him with hopeful eyes. "Haaa, alright you can stay with us, but don't do anything weird" he hesitantly replied since he already knew her personality.

"You sure you don't want to become a devil?" Rias asked since it would be great if she had Durandal's user in her peerage.

"If I had no other option then I would have asked you to reincarnate me" she paused and looked back at Mikasa "but I also didn't know there were other humans as strong as me besides the strongest at the church," she said.

"Ahh, right," Rias said disappointingly

"Don't get so depressed Rias, you have the boob dragon over there to help you" Adam said with a straight face while looking towards Issei.

"At least don't call him boob dragon" she replied even more depressed.

"Enough fun, It's time for you guys to head home, I have stuff to do," Adam said as he pushed everyone out of his house.

Once they were out of the house he turned to Xenovia "Just pick any room you want, I make dinner at 7 every night just so you know". With that announced he made his way to his room so he could get to work on his weapon.

"Which room is the closest to Adam's?" Xenovia asked.

"I took it," Mikasa replied instantly.

"Then I'll take the one to his left," Xenovia said.

"I-I already took that one," Asia shyly said.

"T-then the one on his right?" Xenovia asked unsurely.

"Yeah, no one has taken it yet," Mikasa told her.

Adam heard the entire conversation and found it pretty funny.

The next day Adam sent a huge amount of money to the city for its repairs and then made his way to school with the three girls following suit.

As he was walking in through the entrance he saw Vali talking with Issei but ignored both of them since their rivalry had nothing to do with him.

"Hey blondie, don't ignore me, I want to fight with you as well," Vali said when he saw that Adam wasn't interested in him.

"I don't have time to waste on a dragon, maybe some other time," Adam said and continued on his way.

Once inside Adam saw a bunch of grown ups with their children. He only took a quick glance but in that small amount of time, Mikasa was able to see a hint of envy in Adam's eyes.

Walking in his classroom Adam was bombarded with questions about his absence to which he replied that he was sick.

They then told them that they had to make a clay sculpture. Adam decided he would take it seriously and made a sculpture of Mikasa. It ended up being a perfect replica that even included her sword.

Everyone around him was speechless.

"Adam would you like to donate this to the school". The teacher asked him since it was the best sculpture he'd ever seen.

"Not this one sorry teacher. She would get mad at me if I didn't give this to her" Adam thought about it for a little.

"Oh no that's fine" the teacher replied trying to not show the disappointment on his face.

As the day went on Adam sensed multiple large energies walking around the school which he assumed were the Devil Kings and Rias's parents.

Once the day ended Adam teleported to the roof. He then sat down on the edge of the roof and looked down and saw everyone enjoying their time with their parents and friends.

He knew what would happen in the future and he knew what he needed to do in order to stop it. Since coming to this world he tried finding a purpose for his existence. He was given so much power and abilities anyone would kill for but there wasn't anything for him to do. Now that he saw the outcome of this world he finally found a goal for himself.

Looking down he wondered what it would be like to have parents. He usually doesn't think about it but seeing so many people with their parents made him question it.

"Enjoying the view?" someone behind Adam said.

"It's quite the view" Adam responded. "What can I help you with, Sirzechs?" Adam casually said.

"Ahaha so you knew" Sirzechs laughed it off and didn't even mention how Adam didn't show any sign of respect. "First of all, I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for Rias and her peerage," he said. "I also wanted to ask if you wanted to join my peerage. I haven't seen humans as strong as you in hundreds of years."

"I appreciate the invite but there are things that I'll end up doing that would cause problems if I was connected to a faction as that" Adam said.

"That's fine as well if you could just look out for Rias when I'm not there then that would be enough," he said.

It sounded more like an order than a request to Adam but he didn't take too much from it. "If their lives are in danger then I'll help but besides that, it's better if they deal with the problems by themselves," Adam simply stated.

"That's enough for me," Sirzechs said. "Shouldn't you be meeting Serafall about now?" he asked.

"I guess I should," Adam said. He then jumped off the building and hit the ground without making any noise.

Walking towards the gym Adam saw Serfall and Sona talking to each other.

Sona, who saw Adam walking towards her, started to panic since she didn't know what he would try and do to mess with her.

"Hey, Sona I assume this is your sister. It's nice to meet you Serafall, my name is Adam" Adam introduced himself with no respect in his voice.

"It's nice to meet you as well!. You can just call me Levi-tan" she introduced herself.

"Right..." Adam was taken aback by her cheerfulness "I look forward to seeing what you have to discuss during the meeting. I'll be leaving now. See you later Sona and everyone else" Adam faded as he walked out.

"Does he really have to leave like that?" Issei asked. Every time Adam leaves he always does something flashy.

"I think he does it to mess with us," Sona replied.

"I forgot to thank him!" Serafall exclaimed, "Tell me where he lives so I can thank him for saving my precious sister" she added.

"NO! You don't have to do that, you'll only bother him, now let's go back" Sona said as she pulled her sister towards the Student council office.

"They really get along," Issei said.

"Yeah, something like that," Rias replied.

Rias and her peerage then went home. The next day they would unseal the room that contained Rias' other bishop in hopes that he would be able to add to their manpower. The next few days everyone would spend their time training and going to school, except for Adam who was working non-stop on his weapon. He was going to uninhabited places looking for the materials he needed. There was one time when he felt Azazel on the school grounds but didn't check up on it since he knew that he wasn't going to do anything.

Besides that, Adam continued on his work and waited until the meeting would take place. A couple of days later it was finally time for the Summit to take place and Adam was as relaxed as always.
