Since Adam had already gotten the artifact he needed he planned on Summoning his Servant as soon as possible since it would make things easier if he got his relationship going with his servant.
Walking into Fuyuki City, Adam suddenly felt a strong pain in his back so he summoned a mirror to look at them. Taking off his shirt he saw two infinity signs that made up a four-leaf clover being inside a circle. It was easy enough for him to figure out what they were. They were his command spells that represent his infinite mana and his control over luck.
Since he had the command spell it made sense for him to Summon his servant. So he moved as close as he could to where the grail was currently at and began the summoning ritual.
He had the artifact ready in his hand and made the summoning circle. He added his mana into the circle and after a few seconds of deadly silence, a light began shining in the middle. Blinded by the light Adam turned his eyes away for a second. Before he could turn around and introduce himself he heard a somewhat deep voice behind him. He began to worry since it wasn't rare for historical figures to be female.
"You must be my Master, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance." An energetic voice said to him.
"You don't seem like a male" Adam said as he lamented on his choices. He should have expected something like this but was being optimistic.
"Of course I'm not, Master. I am a woman, but if that is bothering you then fret not because I can do everything a male can do" the servant said, not understanding Adam's problem.
"Right. Can you tell me your name? Just to make sure at least summoned the right Servant" Adam asked.
"My apologies Master. My name is Minamoto no Yoshitsune" she replied to him immediately.
"Your name sounds weird when paired with your appearance. Let's see I'll call you Ushiwakamru. It's your childhood name, so that should be fine with you right?" Adam asked her.
"You can call me whatever you want Master," she said without any argument.
"With the way you are, I don't think I'll have any need for command spells," Adam said but wasn't sure if it was a good or bad thing.
"Speaking of Command spells, where are your's Master?" she asked while looking at Adams's hands.
"Oh, I don't know why; but mine are on my back," Adam said while lifting his shirt and showing her his command spells.
"Those are some really interesting designs," Ushiwakamaru said.
"Anyway, the grail won't start for about two months. During that time I'm planning on gathering materials and killing any creatures that could be used against humanity in the future" Adam explained his real goal to her.
"Master, I can tell you're skilled in what you do by your muscles, but are you sure you can handle stronger opponents?" Ushiwakamaru asked out of concern for her new Master.
"You don't need to worry about me Ushiwakamaru," Adam told her but saw she wasn't changing her mind. "How about a spar? That should be fine" he told her. He was using this as a chance to see how his swordsmanship compares to a genius.
Ushiwakamaru was confused as to why her master wanted to spar with her but she didn't see any problem since she would make sure not to hurt him. "Very well Master, tell me when you're ready," she told him as she took a stance in front of him.
Adam read Ushiwakamaru's thoughts and knew she would be taking it easy on him so he used that to his advantage.
Taking out a katana that looked similar to Ushiwakamaru's. Taking his stance, Adam bolted next to Ushiwakamaru and swung at her side with minimal strength but it was enough to cut the wind and sent a blast towards her.
Ushiwakamru wasn't expecting her Master to be able to move so quickly but she got over it quickly and was able to block the swing with her sword but she was still sent flying backward. She did a flip midair and landed on the ground while crouching. "I must say you have exceeded my expectations, Master. I thought you were just arrogant" she said casually.
"Thank you for the compliment but we have to finish this quickly so get ready," Adam said while smirking. He ran towards her jumping from side to side and gaining more speed from each jump.
Ushiwakamru was feeling happy that her Master was so incredible. Having fun by fighting her Master she smiled as well and began to run towards him.
Adam saw her smile and had to admit he was having fun fighting someone that could take more than one swing from his sword.
Seeing her Master thinking about something else she jumped to his left in the short amount of time she was given and got ready to strike him.
Adam had been focusing on the fight the whole time even if it didn't look like he was so he brought his sword up and pretended to swing it sideways towards his front. As he was swinging he could see Ushiwakamru from the corner of his eye so he swiftly changed the direction he was swinging in and brought the sword to the top of his head and swung down on an unsuspecting Ushiwakamaru.
Noticing the sword dropping on her last second she placed her Sword on top of her head to block the sword.
Once they collided Adam's strength overwhelmed Ushiwakamaru making a crater under her from all the force behind Adam's swing.
"Ugh" Ushiwakamaru grunted from holding back the swing. She dropped to one of her knees and used all of her strength to hold on.
"That should be enough," Adam said as the sword he was using disintegrated into particles and returning to his vault.
"Aren't you already strong enough to win the Holy Grail Was Master?" Ushiwakamaru asked while she brushed off the dirt on her.
"If I were to destroy it without being a Master then it would make some people angry and I'd rather not deal with that" Adam explained to her but after finishing he thought about how it sounded like an excuse. Shaking his head he continued " In any case, we should get going, we'll have a lot of things to do before we head off the underworld".
"The underworld?" Ushiwakamaru asked.
"I guess I never told you huh? I need to go there to hopefully make a deal" He told her.
"Very well Master" she replied to him "Are we setting off right now or are we waiting until tomorrow?" she asked him and patiently waited for his answer.
"Considering how fast you are I assume we have a lot of leeway with our time" Adam began thinking. "I guess we can begin making our way out of Japan tomorrow. We can sleep in a forest near here" Adam suggested.
"Why a forest?" she asked him confused.
"It would make it harder for anyone trying to track me to know my location," he said in a serious tone. There had always been people trying to eliminate him since his businesses started growing. There were normal humans and magi plotting against him. "Also it seems like a good change of pace from my normal lifestyle.
"If that is what you chose then it is fine with me Master" she replied to him.
Once he made sure the surrounding looked normal, Adam made his way to the nearest forest to set up camp.
Ushiwakamaru followed behind Adam staring at his back the entire way. She was feeling happy to meet someone with as much talent as her. Throughout her whole life, there had never anyone that could be compared to her in talent, so she was glad to have a talented Master.``
Reaching a secluded place in a large forest Adam took out mats and two blankets from his gate, surprising Ushiwakamaru.
"Is something wrong?" he asked her.
"It's nothing Master" she replied to him
"Can you make a fire and gather wood while I go hunt something to eat?" he asked her.
"Of course," she said and quickly gathered twigs from the ground.
Taking out a bow from his gate, Adam made his way through the forest looking for anything that could fill both of them.
Not too long into his hunt, he found a deer that was drinking water off a small stream. Readying his bow, he nocked the arrow into place and took a deep breath in. Pulling the arrow back and aiming it towards the heart of the deer, Adam imagined it going cleanly through it. Releasing the arrow, he exhaled and saw it go flying towards the deer killing it swiftly.
"Sorry little guy" Adam apologized to the now-dead dear.
Picking it up, he ran back to where he left Ushiwakamaru.
Arriving there he saw that there was already a bright flame dancing on the ground. Next to it was Ushiwakamaru who was waiting patiently.
"Let me cut the deer up and then we'll eat," he first placed the deer into his gate to drain it. A couple of seconds later he took it out and began cutting the deer into pieces with his sword. It took him a few seconds to cut the deer into perfect portions. He then began to cook the deer on the flame.
After a few minutes of letting it cook, he took a piece and handed it to Ushiwakamaru.
"Thank you, Master," she said as she accepted it and began eating it.
Eating in silence they soon both finished their food and sat by their mat.
"I want you to get some sleep and be ready for tomorrow" was the only thing Adam told her before he went to sleep.
She didn't want to go to sleep and leave Adam unguarded, but since she was ordered too she didn't have any other choice so she went to bed.
Adam woke up to find himself in a space different from where he was when he went to sleep and went on guard immediately by taking out his sword.
He looked everywhere to find anything that he could use to figure out where he was but there wasn't anything in sight. Realizing that standing still wasn't going to help him, he walked straight. There was no reason as to why he chose that direction; it just felt like he had to.
After walking for a couple of minutes he was able to see something in the distance. Not wasting any time he ran full speed towards it. As he got closer and closer, he was able to see what it was. A person was being restrained on a wall. The chains that were being used on the person had a similar feeling to the Chains of Heaven that he had but the one in front of him felt drastically stronger.
Now that he was closer to the person he could make out the features of them. They had white hair and golden eyes. They seemed to be in a sleep-like trance that he assumed was caused by the chains that were holding him.
He felt like he needed to investigate what this person was so he walked closer to the guy. Being interested in the chains he slowly reached out to touch them but was stopped by a voice. "I wouldn't touch those if I was you. Unless you want to die" said a deep voice. "I don't know who you are or how you reached this place but you need to leave," said the voice that had a sense of authority behind it.
Being brought back from what felt like a trance, Adam started using the information he had gathered to try and come up with an answer but couldn't come up with anything. "I see you're interested in this person. I'll tell you who this is but I'll remove you from here afterward" the voice told him. "This is a person from a never-dying warrior species. They aren't immortal but they have strong regeneration and an extended lifespan but instead of dying, they pass on their consciousness to their offspring and use their bodies as their own making them every dying" the voice explained to him.
"So they use their children as a way to stay alive," Adam said in a disgusted tone. "But that doesn't explain why this person is here." Adam pointed out.
"This person is different from his brethren, he's their king," the voice told him. "Unlike his brethren, he's superior to them in everything and the strongest of them all. It took a combined force of my people to capture him. We are holding him captive until we can make sure he does not have any offspring to place his consciousness in" the voice told him.
"That must be rough on you guys. I don't see how that has anything to do with me so could you send me back to where I came from" Adam told the voice.
"Very well, I hope we don't meet again," the voice told him and Adam began to feel a feeling of tiredness and his eyes began to get heavy but before his eyes closed he made eye contact with the chained person who was looking at Adam straight in the eyes.
The person then smiled at him with the corners of his mouth going up longer than they should have, giving Adam chills before he passed out.
Waking up, Adam was breathing heavily and drenched in his sweat.
Looking around he saw that he was where we had gone to sleep, and next to him was Ushiwakamaru who was sleeping without making any noise.
"I hope I'm wrong," Adam said to himself as he stood up to stretch. While the voice was explaining things to him, he was thinking of explanations for the situation. It wasn't that difficult to figure out what it could mean.
Looking up at the sky Adam could still see the stars in the sky so he could tell it had only been a couple of hours since he had gone to sleep and had quite a while until morning.
"Haa" Adam sighed. He had gotten used to being with his friends and Mikasa all the time. He was starting to miss them even though it hadn't even been that long. "What am I even doing here," Adam thought to himself. He was starting to wonder why he even chose to come to this world. There always seem to be problems everywhere and the world is always filled with chaos.
"Is there something wrong Master?" Ushiwakamaru asked. She had woken up because she couldn't feel Adam next to her anymore.
"Ushiwakamaru, what wish would you make if you were to obtain the grail?" Adam asked her.
"That's a sudden question but if I were to have any wish granted then it would be to be able to see my brother one more time" she excitedly answered.
"So I guess the legends were true. I'll try and fulfill your wish without using the grail's help. So that way, you won't feel like you owe me anything and you can go on with a brand new life. " Adam told her while smiling at her.
"That's not what I-" Ushiwakamaru tried to reply to what she was just told.
"You should go back to sleep" Adam interrupted her.
"Yes Master" she replied with the only thing she could say.
A few hours passed by and the sun had already come out. Adam was currently running over the Ocean, making his way to the southern part of Turkey. He was planning on visiting the place where Echidna had been said to have been killed in her sleep. He wanted to make sure that she was dead and not just sleeping until the right time.
After another hour of running, Adam was finally able to reach land. He then summoned Ushiwakamaru. " Alright let's get going, I don't know where she lived but we do know that it was supposed to have been in a cave around here," he told her.
"Leave it to me, Master, I'll find the location as soon as possible" she replied.
Adam grabbed her by the head before she could go further " Can you do something about your clothes? Or to be more specific, lack thereof" he said while looking at her outfit.
"Is there something wrong with my clothes? This is the most comfortable material from my time." She asked, confused by his order.
"I know it's better for battle, but you don't quite fit in with those types of clothes so change into these clothes," Adam said. He then took out modern-looking clothes that wouldn't restrict her movements.
"If that is what you chose then I will do it," she told him. She then began changing in the open so Adam had to stand in front of her so that no one would see her.
Once she was done, both she and Adam began searching every possible location.
Through the course of a couple of days both she and Adam searched over two hundred caves around their location but weren't able to find any abnormalities within them.
Standing over one of the many waterfalls, Adam was wondering if he should look for other monsters since he wasn't able to find any remains of Echidna.
"What do we do now Master?" Ushiwakamaru asked. She wasn't tired in the slightest since she was running on Adam's mana. She was only worried about Adam's health since he had been searching nonstop for a couple of days.
"We have no choice but to stop for now. We can go back to searching for other monsters when I return from the Underworld" Adam told her.
"You're not going to bring me?" she asked him.
"I won't need your help in the underworld," Adam told her.
"That is out of the question Master, I'll be going with you whether you want me to or not," she told him. She was already beginning to understand how her Master's thoughts went. He wouldn't ask for anyone else's help and would try to do everything by himself.
Adam was beginning to get tired of all the hard-headed individuals that surrounded him. "Fine but at least don't go out saying your name. You never know who's listening to you" he warned her.
After getting their things ready Adam teleported to the Underworld and headed to where all the families were currently gathering.
"Who are you searching for, Master? I'll help you look for him" Ushiwakamaru asked since they had been standing around doing nothing.
"I was waiting for Azazel but it seems he isn't here yet. I knew I couldn't trust that crow to be here on time, whatever, he can come to look for me when he's ready. Follow me, I'll finish my business here quickly" he said as he walked towards a part of the building that had a symbol resembling a Phoenix.
Ignoring the looks he was getting from all the other devils around them, Adam knocked on the door. He could tell there was someone on the other side peeking at him through the door. "Ravel, open the door, I need to talk with your brother" Adam spoke towards the door.
A loud thud came from the other side of the door and after a few seconds of silence, the door was opened by Ravel who was brushing away dust from her dress. Worried she asked, "You're not here to hurt my brother again?".
"No, I'm here to talk to him about a business that I'm sure will give the Phenex clan more reputation and money," Adam told her.
Ravel was stuck in between keeping her brother's mind at peace and her clan. She could tell that Adam wasn't lying but she also had no clue what the business he was talking about could be. After a couple of seconds of deep thought, she finally concluded."Follow me" she then began walking further into the building she was in.
After a couple of seconds of walking, they reached a beautifully decorated door. Ravel then opened the door without knocking and they saw Riser being fed food by one of his servants.
"What did I tell you about entering my room Ravel- 'cough''cough''" he was going to reprimand Ravel for entering without knocking but choked on the food he had when he saw who was with her. He still had nightmares about lightning striking him.
"What the hell Ravel, why did you bring that human here" he yelled at Ravel.
"I'm sorry Brother but this is for the clan" she apologized to him.
"I'm not here to fry you again so you can relax, I came here to make a deal that you'll benefit from," Adam told Riser.
"A deal?" Riser said curiously, he was still wary of Adam and kept his guard up.
"Yes but I can only talk to you about it, everyone else will have to leave," Adam told him.
Riser was now more interested. If it was something that was supposed to be kept a secret then he would need to think about it more than if it was a normal deal.
"Yubelluna, Ravel leave and wait outside" Riser decided to hear out Adam. He could see Adam had a deal for him so he made his choice.
"Wait for me outside, Rider" Adam told Ushiwakamaru.
"But-" Ushiwakamaru was caught off guard by being called by her class name.
"I'll be fine just wait for me" Adam reassured her.
The three girls left the room and Adam closed the door behind them and placed a soundproof barrier around them.
"Alright then, let's talk about how we're going to keep every species alive" Adam started off his deal.
After around 30 minutes of silence. The door was opened and Adam came out of the room. Riser was left on the couch he was sitting in with a dead serious face.
"Let's go Rider" Adam told Ushiwakamaru as he continued to walk away.
Ushiwakamaru didn't say anything and left the two other girls who were worried about Riser at the door.
