I SAW HER

Mrs Army and her family arrived at the hospital. She raced through the corridors with shallow rapid breath while Kelvin and Mr Roberts paced after her as they approached the reception.

"Take your time, mum– " Kelvin cried with darting eyes. " You, acting up like this might cause your pressure to raise which is dangerous for your health."

"How can I, Kelvin?" She howled with a flushed gaze. "How can I when Mya is always like this" She stuttered.

"Kelvin is right, Amy– I believe Mya is gonna be alright. We're here" Mr Roberts added but Amy just couldn't keep her cool. She swiftly reached to the lady nurse at the reception as soon as they closed up.

"Hi, Miss" She greeted and the lady instinctively tilted her head in response. Without waiting, Amy queried.

"Please we're looking for the ward of the young lady who was brought in here some few moments ago–I mean Mya Roberts "

"Mya Roberts?" She asked with a furrowed brow, not so certain of such name or admission. Both Amy and Kelvin nodded in unison.

"Yes, please " Kelvin eluded. "We had a call from here concerning her admission "

"Alright, let me check again" She mumbled and they nodded. Her gaze swiftly travelled to the PC in front of her as she scanned through the admission list.

"Mya Irish Roberts?" She queried as she turned her gaze back on them.

"Yes, yes, yes." They answered. "Which ward, please?"

"25, please " She answered as she went on with the direction. "Just take the corridor ahead of you and turn right, her ward should be right there" She smiled.

"Thank you, Miss" Amy stuttered with a faint, weary smile and trod off without waiting for another second. Mr Roberts and Kelvin quickly followed her.

MYA'S WARD

Laura still kept watch over her sister as she laid asleep on the bed. She kept glancing at the entrance of the ward from time to time in expectation. Just then, she noticed Mya making little rumbling noises. She stood, edged on as she tried to wake her.

"Mya?, Mya?– Are you alright?" She queried but had no answer. Just then, Mya drowsily and slowly opened her eyes only to meet Laura's gaze fixed on her as she stared down at her.

"Laura?– Is that you?" She faintly eluded in a skeptical tone which made Laura gasp in awe.

"Mya? – Can you see me?" She queried but she had already fallen back to sleep again. Her face suddenly flushed with disappointment. She let out a frustrated sigh and settled back on the seat next to the bed as she stared down at her.

The door instinctively made a racked noise which got her attention. Laura swiftly gazed back at the door. Mrs Army, Mr Roberts and Kelvin hastily rushed in. Laura's eyes suddenly soaked up with tears of joy on seeing them. She instinctively rose to her feet as they approached the bed, her lips curved in a broad smile.

"Mum?, dad?–Kelvin" She stuttered, the tears she fought back, slowly trilled down her eyes as they closed up on her but none of them could see her. She just stared at them as they rounded Mya's bed.

"Mya?–Mya" Amy cried and Mya opened her eyes. Her gaze swiftly lurked around the room.

"Where I'm I ?" She mumbled and Kelvin swiftly answered.

"At the hospital, Mya– Don't you remember what happened? " She just stared at them and tilted her head in response. Just then, her sub conscious mind clicked in. She instinctively sat up with alert, wide eyes.

"Laura!, Where is she, mum?– Dad, Kelvin, didn't you see her? " She asked. Amy, Roberts and Kelvin instinctively glanced at each other with creased and furrowed brow, confused and lost.

Laura?–Why are you asking of Laura now when you already know the answer?" Mr Roberts asked.

"Because she was here, Dad!" She shouted and they all just stared at her with wide eyes.

"Mya–" Kelvin called and she instinctively glanced up at him as he drew a little more closer to her. Her fierce, restless gaze scanned through his face and to the room. He instinctively let out an inaudible sigh as he spoke up.

"I know how you miss Laura and so do I but it's never possible that she was the person you saw. Maybe–"

Mya aggressively tilted her head in objection, stopping Kelvin in his words. Her squint eyes and flushed face, expressed her trauma as she kept yelling in objections.

"No–No, I said I saw Laura, I did!" She screamed as she violently trembled beyond control. Amy couldn't stand, watching her daughter in such agony. Her face contorted in pain as the tears choked up in her throat, freely made their way down her eyes.

"Oh, Mya–" She cried as she instinctively hugged her to keep her calm.

"I did saw her, mum– trust me" She stated.

"I know, dear and I believe you. " She gently rubbed her back. "Calm down now–shhh. It's okay"

Mr. Roberts couldn't stand the sight of his family's pain and frustration. He was so broken but yet couldn't stand showing his weakness in the sight of his children and wife. He was to rather be a source of strength and comfort to them at this tough hour. He instinctively turned and stormed out of the ward as those tears rolled down her eyes.

All along, Laura stood at the left side of the bed, watching them. She trembled with tears as she witnessed what was going on. Her heart felt as if she had been stabbed so deep within. She tried to touch Mya but her hand just past through her like the air. The pain of her invisibility tore her inside out.

"I'm sorry for causing this pain to all of you" She sobbed.

An hour later, they managed to get Mya under control and soon, she fell asleep again. Amy sat by her daughter as she kept her gaze on her. Her eyes widely fixed with no sign of sleep and Laura stood by them. Kelvin laid in a sofa at the far left of the ward, asleep. Just then, the door racked open which drew Amy and Laura's attention. Roberts sauntered in, he instinctively tilted his head quizzically and Amy nodded with a blink. With a droopy gaze, he stood beside Amy and draped his hand around her shoulders as he patted, consolingly.

"The doctor said she's absolutely fine– Just a bit stressed and with a little more rest, she'll bounce back to normal " He assured.

Amy nodded with a faint smile. Laura instinctively let out a sigh of relief and faint smile dazzled on her face as she glanced at Mya. "I'm glad you're good, sis." She mumbled.

RUBIN'S HOUSE

It was already morning and the sun announced its presence with the graceful outburst of its rays through Rubin's window. He instinctively winced at the impact of the reflection of the sun rays on his face as he drowsily opened those hooded eyes. His gaze wearily travelled first to the clock beside his bed.

His eyes instinctively flew wide opened at the time.

"7:30am? – Oh, no, Econs test!" He howled as he sprung out of bed. Just then, his mother's voice called from the door.

"Rubin? –Rubin!!, how long are you gonna be in bed?"

"I'm up– I'm up" He shouted as he quickly got off bed but instinctively fell off due to the rush which caused the blanket to lock him off.

"Ouch!– That hurts" He cried.
