JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME

Laura gently tucked a lock of hair behind her ear as she leaned towards the phone. She tried to pick it up but her hand just passed through it. She sighed.

"You can do this, Laura– " She mumbled and blew her cheeks as she took in a deep breath to keep her, calm and relaxed.

"Let's try again" She leaned forward with furrowed brow as she flicked her hand in reach of it but it just wasn't working out. "Argh !" She grumbled, as she aggressively run her hands through her hair in frustration. "This is so annoying! " She roared. "I'm literary going crazy now, gosh! – Why can't I just get this simple thing, done, huh? "

She kept whinnying while she laid face up on the bed. Just then, Mya hastily sauntered out of the washroom which made her sat up on noticing her.

"Why are you so much in a rush, Mya?" Laura queried as if she could hear her speak. "Are you going somewhere?" She added as she paced after Mya who was busily getting ready. Her eyes instinctively flew wide open with raised eyebrows as her subconscious mind clicked in.

"No, don't tell me you're going to work after all that happened to you last night" She howled but all seem pointless since Mya couldn't hear or see her.

"You're still not well and got to rest– Gosh, what I'm I even doing ?" She roared in frustration. "Is not she could hear me or anything ?"

Laura cursed as she watch Mya trod off towards the door. "What should I do?–What should I do?" She cried. "It's so dangerous for her out there; now that she has became a target of Ben–I can't just let her go out now; Not until I get to the route of this"

Just then, a thought clicked in. " Sorry, Mya but i got to do this– I pray it works out."

With a deep breath, she telekinesis their family picture frame, positioned over the bed, causing it to crash to the floor. Mya jolted with a flinch as she instinctively paused in her steps, her gaze swiftly travelled down the direction of the sound. She gasped, frozen in her steps as she stared with wide eyes and raised eyebrows.

"How did this fall off so easily ?" She mumbled with a confused gaze. Her eyes swiftly lurked across through the room. "It's not like the cause of a heavy wind either– What's this about?" She stuttered.

Laura stared at her as she loomed closer and crunched down for the broken frame. She glanced at it with a pained gaze. " I promise to get that bastard who took you away from us, Laura–" Mya stated. Laura gasped with hands over her mouth. She swiftly tilted her head in objection as if she's visible to her.

"No, no, Mya– I can take care of this. Please don't do anymore. It's too dangerous " She cried.

With a roguish glare, Mya rose to her feet.

"Just wait a little more– You'll soon get your revenge; very soon" She sighed and placed back the frame at it position and stormed out of the room.

"Mya?–Mya!" Laura called after her as she teleported through the door. She kept calling as Mya briskly made her way through the corridor, down to the hall. Mya was about, exiting the house when their mother noticed her from the kitchen as she approached the hall.

"Mya?" She howled with a nervous gaze as she sped to her. Laura jerked up with happy eyes and smiling mouth on seeing their mother.

"I'm so glad you're here, mum" She cried as she inched forward, towards Audrey who just walked through her like the air she was. She scoffed. " Why do I always forget, i'm just a ghost who can't be seen" She wined but instinctively shrugged it off as she paced after her mother.

"I've been trying to stop her from going to work but she wouldn't listen. Please tell her to back in" She added.

"Mya" Audrey stuttered. "Why?– What happened? And where are you off to, looking all dressed ?"

"Work, Mum– I got something urgent at the school to attend to" She answered but Audrey wasn't so pleased with that. She winced.

"But you're still recovering, dear– Can't it wait till tomorrow? "

Mya hesitated. "No, mum– Please, I really need to go now. I'm already running late" Laura suddenly became crestfallen; following her sister's words.

" But, Mya–" Audrey cried but was instinctively cut in by Mya stopping her in her words.

"Don't start now, mum, please" She howled and stormed out of the house. Audrey just stared at the door in agony as she slouched into the sofa.

"Mum?" Laura cried as she turned to her aid. "Don't worry, mum–I'll take care of her" She added and disappeared.

EXCELLENT BRAINS COLLEGE

Rubin sauntered through the busy hallway with students, pacing to and fro as they made their way to their classrooms. He wore an etched, worried gaze while he swiftly searched through the students with eagle eyes in search of Laura but rather noticed something unusual as he approached his class.

Ben, Fred and Patrick stood at the yard with the Principal. Their gazes were actually buried down towards the ground with guilt and fear, etched all over them. It seem they were being scolded for reasons unknown to him.

Mr. Hansel looked quiet furious. He suddenly raised his hand about to hit Ben but paused along the way and waved a dismissive hand.

" What's going over there?" Rubin stuttered. " The principal seem strangely, wolfish towards them." He thought but had no answers. He raised his shoulder in a half shrug and sauntered into the class. His eyes swiftly travelled to Alixies' desk but found no sign of her.

"She isn't with her either" He sighed and trod off to his desk. Just when he settled in his desk, Alixies slammed next to him. Rubin stared at her with a blank gaze, unable to move.

"Hey, why that look– Shove over " She eluded with a broad smile. He swiftly tilted his head with a furrowed brow.

"What are you, doing?" He stuttered, surprised.

"And what does it look like I'm doing, boy?" She wittily asked. "Just wanna talk" She instinctively leaned closer to his ears. "Is she here?– Need to talk to her "

"Who?" He asked with a stunned look.

"Laura of course –Who else?" She cried.

Rubin's gaze suddenly went numb on hearing Laura's name. He glanced away from Alixies and begun unpacking his books from his bag.
