SECRETS ( Part 1)

With the rack of the door, Mya and Laura both froze with their gazes fixed on the door which was yet to throw ajar, as the familiar voice penetrated the quite room. Their thoughts went blank with absolutely nothing in mind-it was like a dead end for Mya. Laura's flushed gaze instinctively fixed on Mya's and she flinched.

"No, do something now, Mya ---you must not be seen here" Laura mumbled and Mya fidgeted as if she could actually hear her sister's warning. Turning to the wardrobe at the right end of the room, she spontaneously made a dash for it.

Hansel sauntered in but automatically paused at the door to which his eagle eyes scanned through the whole room as if he could see through each corner. Soon he sensed he wasn't alone ; the sense of another human alerted him as he took steady steps towards his desk. Mya and Laura noticed the sudden silence and was alarmed.

" What's he up to?~ did he notice my presence?" Mya low whispered and Laura stared at her as the approaching footsteps made her catch on her breath;making sure to be as silent as possible. Hansel instinctively paused over his desk, his eyes critically scanned from one point to the other but nothing seemed suspicions enough– he swiftly glanced up and back at the desk and the laptop with a sceptical gaze. As he turned to set, a sharp sound from the end of the wardrobe, caught his attention which made him glare back.

" Oh...." Laura gasped and Mya flinched, her wide eyes darted with her hands slammed over her lips as she fretted– her gaze fixed on the drive which fell off her hands. On an impulse, she grumbled as she returned her gaze, looking through the stripped lines of the door which showed Hansel approaching.

" Not now– what should I do?" The colour of her face instinctively became pale. Laura glanced at her sister with horrified look and shuttered at the thought of Mya being caught by the approaching beast.

"What's going to happen now, Mya– For sure, I know he won't just let you off the hook" She mumbled.

By now, Hansel had halted in front of the wardrobe; just about to open it when a ring from his phone distracted. He deftly glanced back at it and with a sceptical gaze back at the wardrobe, he shuffled off; returning to the desk where the phone persistently kept ringing. Mya spontaneously leaned back on the wall of the wardrobe with closed eyes as she let out a sharp sigh of relieve.

"Oh-my-God.... that was close" She cried while she flickered it open– Laura settled next to her and smiled. "Glad you're safe" She stuttered.

"Yes– Give me the good news" His hoarse voice echoed as he attended to the caller– Laura and Mya kept a glued eye on every inch he took, observing from afar.

"He seem to had got something under his sleeve" Laura mumbled as they both squinted to get a better view–Mya on the other hand just stared on with a calculative gaze.

"We have him" a voice answered over the phone and Hansel smiled.

"Good–I'll be there shortly. Keep an on him and make sure you don't lose him. He can be extremely hostile " He answered to which he hastened out. Mya instinctively detected a wicked glint in his eyes as she watched him sped out. Her brows spontaneously furrowed with a frown and her gaze looked quizzical to which she sprinted out of her hide out.

"He must be up to something" She thoughtfully mumbled to himself. "I must find out, maybe it's something holding up my sister's case." She said as she became frantic in her quest to tail along– to which Laura deftly glanced at her; her gaze became a bit darker with mixed feelings and her sense of her sister's security, made her burst with fury. She frantically feigned exasperation as she spoke.

"I told you to stay out of this, Mya!" Her cold voice echoed to which a chilled breeze spontaneously swept through the room, causing the liners in the room to tremble in fear and Mya was no different. For a moment, her voice failed as she scanned through the room with an mused stare; wondering how the strange breeze maneuvered it's way through the closed glass windows–Laura on the other hand, just glared at her with eyes which appeared to pierce through her.

"Just give up already –Can't you see everyone is hurting with this new you, Mya?.....Mum, dad and Kelvin, they all need you even more~now that I'm not around. Stop all this, please; I can do it on my own" She stuttered in a small voice filled with emotions as her unshed tears trekked down her cheeks. But all was just a whisper of wind– just like the passing of air, her words flew by.

Mya who wasn't aware of her surrounding kept pounding over the strange occurrence but then, Hansel's words over the phone earlier, invaded her thoughts to which reality hit on her.

"Oh... hope I'm not too late" She shuddered as she hastily sprinted out.

"Mya!" Laura grumbled but she was already out of sight. With this, she sped after her– teleporting through the door as she kept calling.

**********

After about an hour drive, Alixies noticed from a distance as Ben's car finally came to a halt in front of a lonely mansion which was seated a few meters along the shores of the ocean. She spontaneously tapped on the driver's shoulder as she leaned over.

"Stop.... just this view is okay." She exclaimed and on an impulse, added. " I don't know what's going on but they must not find out I'm here–I gonna be dangerous for all of us and I can't risk."

Soon, she noticed another car pull over and this got her even more suspicious as her brows furrowed with curiosity when a familiar figure sauntered out of it. As the picture became clearer, she gasped with her mouth agape in shock –her forehead instinctively breaks out in cold sweat as she recoiled in horror, genuinely scared. For a moment, she felt she had seen a ghost.

"I can't believe this…..." She grumbled.
