Li... Little Grape

"Vincoln, I think....You need to play piano now"

Victor's words made Vincoln's eyes widened as he looked at his dark face which was still faced to the door the girl left. His face was pale representing his emotion, as he lowered his head. He then rised his hands and fingers wide as if he was scrutinizing them. Vincoln could see his dark face and he wanted to know what he exactly wants.

"What do you mean?" He gave his voice which is seemed to be deep in tone.

"I think.....I'm giving up on piano." Victor's arms and fingers now clenched into tight fist as he lowered his hands and face Vincoln who was left astonished.

"Yeah. I am going to give up on it.'' His face turned back to normal as he left a smile.

"You're going overboard, Vicky. You don't need to do that. Don't you love playing it. It was your passion, isn't it??"

Vincoln was stunned upon hearing his brother's decision. He knew Victor for many years that he could sense his love over piano. Whenever Victor played piano, his aura seemed to fly in pure air. He saw Victor in these years that he could feel calm and pleasant when he played piano. He can say that Piano was his heart. That was why he was damn stunned knowing that Victor was going to give up on his 'heart'.

Victor then looked at his brother as he smiled.

"Vicky you'll lose your calmness and your patience if you did that." Vincoln continued as he tried to persuade him.

"You know what, She said she used to sleep hearing your piano play." Victor's face even darkened recalling her words last night.

"You know what she meant, don't you?. Don't be childish. Even though I can play piano, I didn't touch it in years."

Victor didn't give a word back the whole time he just listened his brother persuading him. But the next words made him fall in a deep thought pit.

"Will you play piano if she asks you??"

Vincoln's voice was firm as if he was certain of his statement. He saw his brother who was left in the deep of the ocean. He frowned his brows as his brother didn't even let a word out of his heart.

"Vicky!! What are you thinking about?? Will you play it if she asks??"

Vincoln rested his arm on his brother's shoulder as he swayed him. He was on the edge of waiting for an answer which was not given by his brother.

"We need to go now."

Victor's voice was deep that he turned his body towards the door but was stopped by his brother. He then turned back just to see his brother who was always left in doubts.

"You always skip the talk when it reaches it's peak. Why are you so scared to answer??" Vincoln then let his voice out as he looked at his brother who looked calm and fragile.

"I'm not scared. I will play if she asks me. I have to satisfy her wish no matter what it is, right??"

Vincoln's eyes glimmered the instant he heard his brother's words. He then smiled widely and place his hands on his brother's shoulders as he spoke

"Come on let's go. It's time for food together. It had been a long time since we last had food together, right!?? Let's go."

"What?? What are you scheming now??"

"Do I have to scheme about that?? I don't think you are going to give up that easily. You better play it meanwhile or you may lose your habit when she asked you to play."

"You.... Don't dare spit a thing to her. She doesn't even remember that I play piano."

"Yeah yeah. I got that my little brother, Let's go now."

That night the both families become one as they enjoyed their warm welcome party. Charlie and James were as expected to be drunk, They were. Bethany and Molly were deep in their gossips for last seven years. They were looking at Martha time to time indicating that their talks also included her. The warm welcoming party ended in separate ways that both fathers left in a room drunk and slept, both mother's left in a room as they were having wine too. The both matured kids Scarlett and Vincoln looked after the left behind kids as they bickering upon silly matters the whole time.

After everything went smoothly, The kids had to sleep in Martha and Scarlett's house since the rooms in Robin and Robert's house were occupied.

"Vincoln!!! Since you were here play me piano. I sleep listening to it."

Martha's eyes glimmered as she was waiting for her turn to ask him. She held her both hands upon her chest as if she was pleading him to play. The instant she asked Vincoln, he turned his face to look at his brother but for his surprise his face wasn't dark. He was sitting on the couch smiling widely. The weather seemed to be circling around Vincoln as he didn't know what to do.

"Hmm....Martha, I actually slipped my habit of playing piano. Since I left you, I didn't touch it. I think I need more practice to reach my level again."

Martha's hopes were vanished into air that her eyes lost their shine. She dropped her hands and lowered her face describing her hopelessness upon hearing what Vincoln said.

"Ahh my hopes were in vain, huh!! I wish you could get your habit as soon as possible. I really want to hear the song you used to play!!"

"Yeah, I need to practice. I'll practice when I had time, okay?? Don't be down. Li... Little Grape."

Vincoln said as he looked at his brother and satisfied that he turned dark and he could say that his brother seemed angry too.

"Ehhhhhhh!! You even call me that too???"

"Why?? You don't like it when I call you that??"

"No!!! That's not it, Vinny!! I really like it!!! It's more than 'Like'. You were so cool, Vinny!!" Martha's eyes glimmered again as she held Vincoln's limb with both her hands and squeezed tight.

Vincoln's face started to look red indicating that he was indeed... blushing!!!
