Chapter 12: *First date

Today I woke up with new energy, and I am feeling very happy. Yesterday was quite a hectic day. I still can't believe that I got rid of Alexander and his death proved beneficial to me as the relationship between me and Xavier changed. He showed feelings to me for the first time, and I see care in his eyes and it was surreal for me. When he invited me to the office, it wasn't what I thought it would be. He wouldn't invite me for a lecture in fact he asked me if I was okay and bandage my injuries.

He asked me to dress up and meet him at the cliff in the afternoon. I don't know what is in his mind or what he is thinking. Maybe he is slowly realizing his mistakes and is trying to make up with me. Anyways I have a few duties to do and I have to meet Anna. The last time I saw her was at the pack house three days ago. I change my clothes and started walking to the pack house. Anna's grandmother is working in the kitchen, and I see no sign of her here. I went up to her and offered her my greetings. She smiled at me and gives me a warm hug.

Her smell reminds me of home something I can never have now. She gives me some pancakes for the breakfast. I was busy eating when Anna entered the kitchen.

"Finally someone showed her face," I said to her in a sarcastic tone.

She didn't reply and was not looking me in the eyes. I knew something was wrong, and she is hiding it from me. I ask her if everything is okay and she replies yes but her behavior is saying something else. After she left the kitchen, I ask grandma "Why is she behaving like this with me?".

"I am going to tell you but keep it to yourself. After you left the welcome party the Alpha was very angry and he asked about you. Someone has seen Anna leaving with you and told the Alpha. After that, he warned Anna to stay away from you and maintain distance." Surely Xavier has a lot of explaining to do tonight.

I took a nap for 2 hours, and it was 5 pm when I started getting ready. I am wearing a plain black dress which is above my knees, and my hair is in a braid. I have no makeup, so I did nothing on my face. I try my best to sneak very quietly cause I don't want anyone to catch me and ask questions. Finally, I reached the cliff, but there is no sign of Xavier.I stand there for a few minutes enjoying the beautiful scenery until I sensed his presence.

"Sorry for making you wait I was caught in something important." He said, and I can see he was actually sorry.

"It's okay you don't need to apologize I understand you have some serious responsibilities," I said to him with a smile on my face. "So why we are here?"

He smiled at my question and asks me to follow him. After walking a few miles, we reached a field, and it was the most beautiful sight to be seen. There are thousand of daises around me, and I was awestruck by this. Xavier holds my hand and asks "So do you like it?"

"Are you serious it is the most beautiful place how can I have never seen this?

"Well, not many people know this place, only my beta and a few members of my pack know about this. I usually come here whenever I am stressed and this place really helps me to relax."

"Thank you for taking me here and sharing this place with me" I tightened my hold around his hand and take him to the middle of the field. We both lay down on the ground, and I close my eyes.
