Released

Growling to herself, Kit walked next to Aizawa, nearly bumping into him, "I wish my tails would work with me."

She had finally been released from this hospital and they had taken a flight to Tokyo, where they caught a train to a station in downtown Musutafu near the school. The only issue was that because of the damage to her tail that still needed a little more healing, she had to focus on walking straight. She had never been one to beg, but she was going to beg Recovery Girl to help speed up her healing process one more time.

He eyed her for a moment before wrapping an arm around her waist, "I can carry you if you want."

She shook her head, her eyes narrowing in stubborn concentration, "No, I need to get used to this. You won't be able to walk me all around campus."

"Well, you won't be going all over campus for another couple of days anyway." Kit could feel his thumb run up and down on its place on her side, "Maybe it will be better by then."

Kit grumbled then, "I am perfectly capable of at least working. Sitting in an office isn't hard and listening to students isn't horrible."

Aizawa let out a huff of a laugh, helping her complete her way to the dorm, but paused when he saw a few bodies coming their way, "Ms. Kit! Mama Kit!"

Kit's eyes snapped up to see Midoriya, Shinso, Togata, Shouto, and Eri making their way towards them, "Hey!" She felt as if her face was going to split with a grin until she stumbled forward only to be caught by Aizawa again, "Damn it."

This caused the students to pause in their advance, but Shouto took a few steps towards her, "Are you really okay, Ms. Kit?"

Kit mumbled to herself for a second before straightening herself to look at her students, "I'm fine." She wagged her tails gently behind her, "My balance is a little off from the nerve damage and fracture."

"Mama Kit?" Eri popped her head around Togata, "Can I hug you?"

She wanted to narrow her eyes, but she only gave the little girl a confused look, "Why wouldn't you be able to?"

"Uncle Mic said I would have to be careful with you." Eri also looked confused, "He said you might be sensitive for the next couple of months."

Kit wanted to face-palm, but gave Aizawa a sharp look, "I'm going to fry myself a DJ."

"I'll help you." He chuckled, then looked to Eri, "You can hug her, but be gentle."

"Oh, yay!" Eri skipped up to Kit, but stopped right before her before giving Kit a feathery hug, "I'm so glad you're home!"

"I am too." Kit grinned down at the little girl, then looked over at the other students, "I missed you all too."

Midoriya and Shouto looked slightly flustered, while Togata beamed at her, "We missed you as well, Ms. Kit. It hasn't been the same without you." He gave a little laugh, "Hounddog is nice and all, but sometimes his growling can be hard to understand and a feminine touch never hurt anything."

This earned a collective nod and Kit shook her head, "Thank you." She turned her gaze to Shinso who seemed to be the most neutral of all of them, "Shinso," He snapped his attention to her, "Thank you for helping with Eri. With Aizawa with me, you were the only one who had a capable enough quirk to help with her."

He scratched the back of his head as a light blush came over his cheeks, "Thank you."

Aizawa cleared his throat to gain the student's attention, "I need to get her settled in our apartment..." He looked at the time on his phone, "And she is due for some medication." He eyed Eri as well, "And why are you not in your lessons?"

"It is lunch time, Papa Aizawa!" Eri pouted, "I wanted to see Mama Kit, but I'll go back so she can relax."

Aizawa nodded, happy with her answer then looked at the other students as well, "You should get ready for your afternoon classes." As the students said their goodbyes, he called out, "Shinso, we'll start your training back up tomorrow if that works with your schedule?"

"It will work, thank you, Mr. Aizawa." He bowed towards them, then followed after the others, but paused to look back at Kit once again, "Welcome back, again, Ms. Kit."

Kit beamed at the socially distant teen, "Thank you."

When Aizawa finally got her into the apartment, he handed her his cell phone and she gave him a confused look, "Uh...?"

"I want you to call a doctor for the baby." He gave her a look that left no argument, while fishing out her pill bottles, "I don't want to put it off; I want the baby to get the best care possible as soon as possible."

"Yes, sir!" She saluted, but began to look up local ob-gyn doctors. She made a couple of calls after taking her medication and finally found a doctor that she was satisfied with and set up an appointment for a few days later, then returned his phone, "I'll order a new phone as soon as I can so I can stop using yours."

"It doesn't bother me to let you use it." He sat next to her as he took the phone, "It isn't as if I get any really important calls."

Kit stared at the phone that was still in his hands, "Do... Do you have family?"

He let out a long breath, "I do." He turned his phone in his hands, "My mother and father live in Tokyo."

"What kind of quirks did they have?" She shifted in her seat.

He put his phone down on the coffee table in front of him before leaning back to wrap an arm around her shoulders, "My mother's quirk can cause mental barriers when she looks at you. It simply causes the person's thoughts to become fuzzy." He laid his head back on the cushion of the couch, "While my father's quirk can only make you mentally pause, messing up your hand-eye-coordination."

"Wow, I can see how your quirk came to be then." Kit looked like a little kid listening to a story, "Do you visit them often?"

"I do around the holidays, so I will for Christmas and New Years." He looked down at her, "I know you are adopted, but do you know who your parents are?"

"No, but I want to know." A longing look crossed her face, "I've wanted to go get a DNA test done to find out, but... I don't know if I would be happy with the results or not."

"Not to pressure you, but parentage can affect the outcome of a child's quirk, so it could skip a generation." He shrugged, "Either way, I'll support whatever you decide to do."

Kit used a hand to pull his head down closer to hers so she could give him a deep kiss, "I love you..."

"I love you too." His lips moved against hers, but as the kiss began to become more heated, he pulled back, "You need to rest."

"But..." Her hand lowered to around the collar of his shirt.

"No." He shook his head.

She pouted and practically threw herself back onto her position on the couch, "You're no fun."

"Not right now, I'm not." He wanted to laugh at her pouting face, "I'm going to get us some food and check the mailbox."

Continuing to pout, Kit decided not to answer him as he left the room. She wanted him… bad and he was being a spoilsport about it just because he wanted her to rest. She rested enough in the hospital and really the only thing that needed more time was her tails… and they couldn't keep her from performing.

Now grumbling, she decided to go in and take a quick shower before Aizawa returned. Unfortunately for her, this proved to be more difficult than she thought it would. Washing her body and hair wasn't too bad until she got to her tails. Several times, she accidentally would move them the wrong way causing her to yelp as pain shot up her spine.

By the time she was finished and partially dried, she just wanted to crawl to either the couch or the bed for a nap.

"I'm so glad to have you back, Kit!" The small white creature exclaimed from behind his desk, "How are you recovering?"

"Very well." Kit smiled at him, "Thank you, Principal Nezu." She walked in the room further, Aizawa trailing after her, "And thank you for making time to talk with me last minute."

"Of course." He hopped down from his chair and came around to motion a paw towards his couch, "Sit, please." He walked over to a small white machine on a table, "Tea?"

"Thank you." She nodded along with Aizawa and took a seat.

Soon steaming tea was set in front of them and Nezu sat in a chair across from the couple, "What can I help you with?"

Kit looked sideways at Aizawa for a moment before sighing, her tails coming to lie in her lap before looking back towards her boss, "Well, we have some important news to share with you."

"Oh?" He took a sip of his tea, curiosity peaked.

"I'm pregnant." Kit blurted, not knowing how to say it any other way.

Nezu's face broke out in a very wide open mouthed smile, "That is so exciting!" He put his tea cup down, "I'll have to help you come up with accommodations for the new addition. Do you know how far along you are?"

"Not yet. I have an appointment in a couple of days." Kit couldn't help but sigh in relief.

"That's fine. When you find out, please let me know so I know when you'll go onto maternity leave." Nezu put a paw to his cheek in thought, "And I'll have Cementoss lower the wall between your current room and Kit's old one so you have more room."

"That would be very helpful, thank you." Aizawa spoke up this time.

"Of course." Nezu's smile never faded, "We owe you a great debt from keeping the U.A. name from being further tarnished. You did well in protecting Todoroki Shouto."

"I'm just glad that nothing happened to him after the agreement." Kit stressed, "It was a risk making a deal with them, but thankfully they honored it."

"While it was a risk, there was no other choice that I can think of that would've had such a good outcome." Nezu frowned a little, "If a battle would've happened, I can only imagine what could've happened to our young student."

They spoke for a little while longer and it was deemed that she could return to work the next day. Kit couldn't help but be happy about this since she was going stir crazy just sitting around in the apartment. Nezu did let her know that she was more than welcome to use the nap room just like everyone else, though Kit would be more likely to sleep in her own office.

They left Principal Nezu's office and they both were making their way down the halls and they stopped outside of Aizawa's classroom since he needed to return to work that day, "I'll see you at lunch?"

"Yup." Kit leaned up to kiss him on the cheek, "Have a good day."

Kit was almost down the hall when several of 1-A students rounded the corner to go to class and saw her. They all greeted her ecstatically and were even happier to find out she would be officially working the next day. She eyed the time and suggested they'd hurry to class then, but promised to see them the next day.

"Ms. Kit?" She paused on her retreat to turn towards the voice, "May I request to speak with you tomorrow?"

"Sure, Todoroki." She met the teen's eyes, "Before class or...?"

"I don't have a preference." He shrugged, "Whatever is best for you."

"I'll come get you when I figure out a time. Is that okay?" She asked after thinking for a few moments.

"Yes, thank you." He bowed to her then continued on to class.
