Leo's POV
"I still love her," he says with a sigh.
Yeah, sure.
Asshat's timing couldn't have been better, eh?
The more the freaking merrier.
Life really does suck.
"What?"I ask him instead.
"I said I still love her " he screams.
"Dude, keep it low," I say and cover my ears.
"Why don't you believe me?" he says.
"Why would I? You're my enemy if you haven't like realized that," I say.
"Go ahead, make fun of me," he says and crosses his arms.
"Yeah, that's my job," I say.
"Can you leave?" I ask him and he huffs.
"Alejandro, let's go in," I say and grab him by the arm and push him inside.
"Yeah, leave coward," Marco says with a smirk.
Coward?
That's all he could come up with?
Feels like his comebacks have been getting shittier with time.
As if they weren't bad already, he's just adding another layer to them now.
This just keeps getting better and better, or worse some might say.
I think I'll just stick to 'no comments'.
"Look, I know you're trying your best to trigger me but you're failing devastatingly. Try some other day," I say and shut the door in his face and lock it.
"I don't like him," Alejandro says, stating the obvious.
"You think I love him or something?" I ask him and he laughs in return.
"About this bullshit, you just came up with--" I start to say but Alejandro cuts me off.
"It was bullshit. A lie. I knew Marco was lurking around and he called up Nat when you entered my room so I came with all of this on the spot. Man, you have to appreciate my acting," he says with a grin.
Oh so, it really was bullshit.
I was just asking like that but turns out I guessed the truth.
Do all of them really not take me seriously or am I just a joke to them?
I might as well be cause the way they all treat me doesn't really pinpoint towards the opposite direction.
What a load of crap though.
How do they even come up with such massive-freaking-life-changing-lies?
"I do, I so do Alejandro," I say and smile.
Fantastic.
He wanted to trigger me but he got triggered instead.
Payback much?
This was so sweet.
"I pity him," I say to Alejandro.
"Me too," he replies.
Doesn't everyone?
"So, I'm going to go now," I say and get up to leave.
"Bye," he gets up and says and I nod.
As soon as I get out of there, I call Nat.
"Hey, Leo," she says.
"Hey," I say.
"I overheard your uh conversation," she says.
"Alejandro cooked it up because he knew Marco was lurking around and Alejandro heard him call you," I say.
"Oh," is all she says.
"And Marco said he loves you?" I ask her.
"Yes, he did," she replies.
"But you don't love him," I say.
"Yes, I don't," she says and I can hear the smile in her voice.
"So when are you going to Italy?" I ask her.
"Today, my flight is in ah shit, an hour," she says.
"What?"
Today?
In an hour?
"Yes, mom and dad booked the tickets yesterday," she says.
"So early?"
"My grandfather is sick"
"Oh, I'm sorry," I sadly say.
"He's one of the few people I love and one of the few that care about me," she sorrowfully says.
"That's--" I start to say but she cuts me off and says," I'm sorry Leo but I need to do a quick check if I have everything I need. Any chance I can see you before I leave?"
"Yes, I'm just on my way," I say.
"Cool, see you," she says and hangs up.
I rush to my car and drive fast to reach home early.
The hospital is a little far from my house so it takes me a half-hour to reach.
As soon as I reach home, I park my car and rush to Nat's house.
I don't even know how long she'll be gone.
Probably a long time.
"Hello Mrs.Hills," I say when Nat's mother opens the front door.
"Oh, Leo. Come on in. Nat, come down!" Nat's mother says.
"What?" I hear Nat yell and she comes down.
"I swear if you've called me down for some dumb rea--" Nat starts to say but stops when she sees me.
"Oh, Leo!" she says and her face breaks into a smile and I wave and smile back.
"Come," Nat says and pushes me up the stairs and into her room.
"You have a messy room," I say when I reach her room which is scattered with clothes and books and makeup.
"I was packing," she says and smiles.
"Like this?" I ask and look at the mess again.
"Ugh, Leo," she groans and lies on her bed.
"What?" I ask her.
"I don't want to go," she says and lifts herself on her elbows.
"What about your grandfather?" I say and she groans again.
"Nat, we're leaving in ten minutes," her mother says and she puts her hands on her face.
"Hey, get up," I say and pull her from her bed.
"So, I have packed everything. I'm just gonna stuff all this somewhere," she says and starts collecting her clothes and put them in a laundry basket.
She collects her books and places them on her table and the same goes for the makeup and it's placed on the dressing table.
"Done!" she exclaims and puts her hands on her hips.
"I'm good to go," she says and turns to me.
I look at her smile.
"I'm going to miss you," I say and pull her for a hug and kiss her forehead.
"Mmm, bye," she says and leaves after kissing me.
We both step down the stairs and I help her to keep her luggage in her car.
"Bye America, hello Italy," she says.
"Hello Italy," I murmur under my breath.
