Annabelle and David walk outside to the hospital's parking lot.
Annabelle: (Feeling awkward) I want you to know that I never wanted this marriage and I know that you also do not approve.
David: (Placing his hands in his pocket) So, why didn't you say anything?. And why are you telling me now?.
Annabelle: (I can't tell him I made a deal with his mother. Before she called him to the hospital, she had spoken to me first and warned me not to tell him anything. If I do, she would send me to prison) I just felt sorry for her.
David: What is it that you really want?. Money?, a rich husband, and a big mansion?. Is that why you didn't you didn't say no to her?. (Smirks while looking her straight in the eyes) I'm sorry, I can't help but feel like you have an ulterior motive.
Annabelle: (Suddenly upset) Excuse me, but I think you've said enough for one night. If you don't mind, I'll just take my leave now (turns to get into her car when David pulls her back. Struggles to get out of his hold) Will you let go?.
David: No!. I'm taking you home.
Annabelle: What do you mean..(David suddenly carries her on his shoulder. She hits him constantly so he can let go, but he doesn't) Let me go!! (David opens the front seat of his car and pushes her in). What do you think you're doing?, aren't you going to let me go?.
David: (Buckles her seatbelt) Stop being stubborn. I just want to know where you live.
Annabelle: And with whose permission?.
David: (Confident) I don't need anyone's permission to go to my future wife's house (shuts the door and walks to the left side of the door, making his way into the driver's seat).
Annabelle: (Laughs in disbelief and mimics him) Future wife!. You really sound so confident thinking I'd marry someone like you.
David: I need to know your address, so I can take you home.
Annabelle: (Getting frustrated) But I don't want you to take me home, I don't want to be here. I can go home on my own. I know how to drive.
David: (Smirks) I'll have someone drive your car home. Now, can you give me your address?. Please!.
Annabelle: (Stares at him angrily for a while, while trying to calm down. Exhales, grabs his phone and punches in the address) Don't talk to me.
David: Thank you (starts the car and drives away).
At Annabelle's and Margaret's House
David and Annabelle arrive at Annabelle's place. Annabelle tries to open the door in order to get out, but David locks it.
Annabelle: Are you going to open the door or should I break it instead?.
David: That's cute, but no. If you do that, you'll only give me more reason not to let you go.
Annabelle: (In a loud voice) Can you just open the damn door?.
David: I just want to make one thing clear before I let you go. If we're going to get married, then we need to get to know each other. That includes living together.
Annabelle: (Shocked) What?. Move in with you?.
David: Why?. You don't want to?.
Annabelle: (Confident) Yes!. I don't want to. Until we're married, I'm not going to live under the same roof with you.
David: Then let's not get married. Unless you agree to move in with me, that is my condition for marrying you and I still have a lot more after we get married. That is if, you still want to get married.
Annabelle: What do you really want from me?.
David: I want to get to know you. The you on the inside (stutters) and the you on the...(pause), well it's not like I haven't already met the stubborn and violent you.
Annabelle: What is that suppose to mean.
David: (Mocking, but honest) You use that mouth of yours really well!. So, are you still bent on not moving in with me?.
Annabelle: (Ignores his question) When is my car arriving?.
David: (Taps on the watch on his wrist) Right now! (Annabelle's car arrives and the driver walks out of the car waiting for his payment). All I need is a yes or no and you're free to go.
Annabelle: (The way I see it, he doesn't exactly seem to be interested in me. If I say no, the deal is off and his psycho of a mother wouldn't think twice before sending me to jail. He already accepted to marry me. For now I should agree to whatever he wants) I want two days!. Give me two days to pack all my stuffs. Also, I need to say goodbye to my siblings.
David: (She's talking so casually. I need to know what she's planning) Sure. I'll come pick you up after two days (quickly unlocks the door). You're free to go.
Annabelle: (Walks out of the car and walks to the driver standing next to her car) Excuse me, but can I have my keys now?. (Refers to David) That guy in there is going to pay you.
Driver: Yes Mam (hands over her keys).
Annabelle: Thank you (Walks away without looking back).
David: (To the driver) Hey!. Get in, I'll give you a ride.
Driver: Thank you so much sir (runs to David happily and enters the car. David drives away).
Still At Annabelle's and Margaret's House
Annabelle walks in to Margaret sitting on the couch worried.
Margaret: (Rises from the couch) Where have you been?, what took you so long?.
Annabelle: (Now I have to break the news to her, that I decided to get married to her chairman's son) I decided to get married.
Margaret: (Shocked) What?.
Annabelle: (I'm not going to tell her I was forced to. That'll only give her another heart attack. I'm going to lie. Yes!, that's the right thing to do. Stutters) Uh... you know how I have never brought any guy home. Well... I wasn't quite sure if I should tell you, but I have a boyfriend and he.. proposed to me.
Margaret: Proposed?, boyfriend?.
Annabelle: (Nodes) Yes.
Margaret: (Hugs her in excitement) That's great news!. All these while I thought you'd never date anyone. I wasn't sure about how to ask you. So, tell me!. Who is he?.
Annabelle: (Now it's time to break the news) Your chairlady's son!.
Margaret: (Shockingly let's go of her) What?. Susan's son?. That ugly witch?.
Annabelle: Mom, it's not right to curse at people.
Margaret: I don't care. She's a very bad woman and I don't like her.
Annabelle: I agreed to marry him. I'm not going to take back what I said.
Margaret: (Suddenly remembers) Wait!. Didn't you go to see her because of the money I owe her?.
Annabelle: About that, I told her I used it myself. She said it was totally fine. Since I'm marrying her son, she told me to consider it as a welcome gift. So it's totally okay. You don't have to worry about the money anymore.
Margaret: Why did you have to say something like that?. What if she wasn't lenient with you?. What if you had gone to jail because of me?. I wouldn't be able to take it.
Annabelle: It's okay. You're my mom, I'm suppose to protect you no matter what. Besides, your daughter is getting married. Doesn't this call for a celebration?. We should also call Clarissa and Eline. I'm sure they'll be glad to go home right away.
Margaret: You're right. Since your sisters went to college, they hardly come home. Besides, I'm sure that Susan will start to respect me once you marry her son. That lady, she's always so mean to me.
Annabelle: Don't worry mom, everything is going to be fine now (suddenly hugs her tight).
Margaret: (Tears rolling down her cheek) Thank you Anna. One of my daughters is finally getting married.
