Weird Adventurer

"I can't really believe what just happened, I'm so tired."

"You mean all of us are tired Arthur-kun."

Magic is effective on a high armor monster just like the goblin orc.

"Thanks to Es-san's strategy and her awareness we didn't got hurt."

Arthur still have lack of leading, but he still new to this. I know he'll grow and learn more.

⌈" Well I usually hunt goblins in the past hehe." ⌋

I more usually hunt horde of goblins than a small group.

⌈" For now, let's go back to the city." ⌋

"Yeah and let's celebrate for defeating a large monster."

Celebrating is not bad, maybe this is the start of my dream.

I hope he or she called the white adventurer hehe.

All the other adventurer is looking away at him/her, is he/she something we need to be afraid of?

He's a guy. The counter lady having a normal talk, but why the adventurers look away at him?

"Well then please report your quest upstairs."

He walks upstairs, I quietly ask Arthur

"Well I only heard that he's a Hero Rank Adventurer."

From a corner an old man spoke.

"Young adventurers, do you want to know a little about him?"

We just nodded at the old man.

"Then sit here with me. He might hear us if I talk loud."

We sat with the old man's table. I think he's a retired adventurer.

"That guy is like a monster."

⌈" What do you mean?" ⌋

Did he mean like a beastkin or demonkin?

"In his body he has a different races' and different monster's body parts."

"Are trying to say old man is…"

He combines other bodies into his body.

"Yes, that is all I can say."

The old man leaned in his chair and lowered his hat.

"Is that even possible?"

We can't believe that is that possible. It's like that should be not exist in this world.

"It's possible, but only for him. And did you know he's a former hero too."

"He's also a hero? In what generation is he old man?"

Could it be he's a mage?

"Don't get surprise. No one know his name even in the hero book record, his name there was erase."

Is he hiding something?

"At first the adventurers call him 'Bird Person' then later that they changed it into 'The White Witch' because of his skillful magic and he wears all white clothes even his mask. And now they call him 'The Black Witch' they say people who know too much about his power die."

"That's a problem."

"Not really, he's a helpful guy. If a person can understand him, they he'll get along too."

Even though he's still scary for a guy named 'The Black Witch'.

"Old man what is his hero generation? You almost forgot it."

"My bad, He's the support hero in 6th generation."

6th generation? I heard they just summoned the heroes a few months ago and they said they are the 17th generation.

How old is he? Is he a really a monster?

"Old man thanks for your information. We are leaving now."

Wow, Arthur-kun is really surprise about that.

We are about to leave when 'The Black Witch' calls me.

"Elf kid, can I have a moment with you?"

Arthur and Isabelle got the scared face and the please don't kill us face.

Meanwhile, Mia is crying quietly and facing at the door.

I should not think about that guy, my dream is already here.

⌈" Sorry for worrying you guys. I'm fine, we should head now to our quest." ⌋

All I need is them, my comrades that I will cherish forever.

Isabelle starts hitting him.

"I told you we're right, you did not believe on us. Especial on Mia-san."

Isabelle starts clingy on Mia.

"Poor Mia-san, she is just small and cute. She just wanted to all of us to be safe but…"

Isabelle looked at Arthur.

"Next time I'll listen to you all first before I take a quest."

Sigh from Es.

⌈" Can we cancel the quest?" ⌋

"Well is you can pay the cancelation."

⌈" Never mind let just finish this quest that paying a high price." ⌋

The reward price is the cancelation fee. What a pain.

This feeling again, I think we need to be more serious than yesterday.

If I'm going to guess their numbers…

There should be 40 or more.

I don't have a problem on normal goblins or mage goblins, but goblin orcs.

Yesterday our fight was only pure luck.

We are already in the cave so we can't go back now.

My 'Magic Arrow' is still now fully complete, this will be effective on goblin orcs, but I can't still control them.

Walking forward, we only saw 3 goblin orcs and 5 mage goblins.

So, they're hiding the normal goblins for a surprise attack.

⌈" Arthur-kun, distract the goblin orcs." ⌋

⌈" Mia-san, as usually support him, Me and Isabelle will focus on mage goblins." ⌋

Arthur-kun manage to kill a one orc, and for sure Mia-san is out of mana.

⌈" Isabelle-san, cover Arthur for a while I'll just give Mia-san a mana potion." ⌋

When we Mia-san done drinking. Mia-san's face got scared and drop the bottle, she points in a direction where we entered.

"G-g-ggo…"

"Es-san what's wron…"

We feel the cold pressure in our hearts, like is our time to die.

From the path we entered we saw…

11 normal goblins, 2 mage goblins, and 4 goblin orcs.

So, this is there surprise attack?
