Opening

Inside a large world that was created by a powerful cultivator, many treasures were left behind after his death. Every century, the Mini World would open up, allowing anyone under thirty that was below the Baron Realm to enter.

Every time the Mini World opened, thousands of disciples would enter. Once it closed, very few of them returned alive. By bringing so many disciples here, the weak Ninth Grade sects hoped to be able to nurture powerful future pillars of the sect and test their luck in case any powerful treasure would fall into their hands.

In this very world, many people were currently killing each other in hopes to be able to have this chance. In a certain place within said Mini World, a handsome youth called Mo Jidong was walking through the center of the battlefield leisurely.

Anyone who tried to attack him was pounded into the ground or sent flying away with multiple bone fractures and broken bones. After beating up enough people, those who were fighting took notice of him.

Someone who was only in the Awakening Realm had repeatedly defeated a Noble Realm cultivator with a single punch. Even if they were weakened from fighting amongst each other, only a genius would be able to possess the power to perform such a feat.

Ignoring their gaze, Mo Jidong slowly approached those that were trying to comprehend the set of engravings on the walls. When he first set his sights on the engravings, he had already understood it.

The engravings on the wall allowed those to instantly comprehend the Concept of Fire. It wasn't any common fire either, it was actually a powerful flame known as the Netherworld Flames, ranked seventieth on the top hundred flames in the world.

As the name implies, it was a dark kind of flames that was not only powerful but also lasted a very long time before going out. There was actually an upgraded version of such a flame, ranked tenth on the top hundred flame list.

The Nine Nether Flame. It was said that such a flame would last forever as long as the user willed it. Even in death, if the flames were not put out by the owner, the flames would stay everlasting.

Approaching the wall, Mo Jidong had no need to sit down in order to comprehend it. Just by standing there, he closed his eyes, as powerful demonic energy surged from his entire body. Those around him suddenly opened their eyes and stared at him.

He had actually disturbed them from their comprehension just by standing there! Amongst those that were comprehending, some were at the middle stage of the Noble Realm, trying to comprehend the meaning of the engravings.

Mo Jidong suddenly opened his eyes, as the light from the engraving on the mountain suddenly dimmed out. Within a matter of seconds, the entire mountain started shaking, as cracks appeared all over it.

Obviously, Mo Jidong had comprehended the entirety of the engravings. A dark red flame-like energy surrounded his body. Even though he was a Body Refiner, the Netherworld Flames was still useful for him.

His body burned with an endless amount of flames that weren't harmful to him as it slowly entered his body. The entire mountain suddenly collapsed along with the engravings. Mo Jidong had not only comprehended the Concept of Flames and the Netherworld Flames but also destroyed the entire mountain doing so!

Those who saw this were shocked with their jaws wide open. One had to know, those who were comprehending had been sitting here for over an hour, trying to comprehend the runes. Mo Jidong had just arrived, before suddenly comprehending the entire thing, leaving nothing for them!

The runes were gone forever, and nobody would be able to comprehend the Netherworld Flames from this spot again. Looking around, Mo Jidong's expression didn't change. He pointed his finger at his enemies and provoked them.

"Come." he said. For an entire minute, it was extremely quiet. If a pin dropped during this moment, everyone in a one-kilometer radius would be able to hear it.

"You're crazy. A Middle Stage Awakening Realm wants to fight a middle stage Noble Realm? Impossible." one of them said. He was clearly angered but didn't move. After all, if he killed the youth in front of him, the Netherworld Flames would be gone forever.

He also found it a waste to kill such a genius figure at the same time. "Since you don't want to come, I'll go instead." Mo Jidong replied.

His realm suddenly increased to the Seventh stage of the Awakening Realm, as a powerful demonic Qi flowed from his fists. Dark-red flames also appeared around his body, burning endlessly.

Bang!

With a single step, Mo Jidong's foot made a small crater in the ground beneath his feet. His body was extremely powerful and agile, appearing beside someone of the Fourth stage Noble Realm in an instant.

Boom!

Before his opponent could even react, Mo Jidong's fist smashed into his opponent's waist. The clear sound of bones breaking could be heard, as his opponent blasted across the sky like an arrow.

A nearby boulder was smashed apart from the body of his opponent, as the person who was sent flying passed out.

Bang!

Mo Jidong took another step and disappeared in an instant. Those who didn't react in time before now reacted. Their swords were drawn, while shock didn't leave their faces. One had to know that the difference between the peak Awakening Realm and the First Stage Noble Realm was extremely vast.

Even a hundred peak Awakening Realm cultivators could only wait to be slaughtered by a single Noble Realm cultivator. Even so, Mo Jidong who was only a Late Stage Awakening Realm had actually sent a Middle Stage Noble Realm flying with a single punch!

The others were only a little bit stronger than the person who was just knocked out cold. Their blades were drawn, as they kept their eyes on Mo Jidong and used their strongest move at once.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Multiple waves of Sword Qi of various strengths were sent out at the same time. Mo Jidong stepped forward and avoided them all with a single motion. His movements were fluid, dodging them with ease.

Soon, his fist landed and smashed into someone's Spiritual Tool. The armor they wore cracked into a million pieces, and they were sent flying as well as coughing a mouthful of blood.

Mo Jidong leaped into the air, he aimed his fist downward, not even trying to avoid their attacks. He came down from the sky, streaking like a meteor, tearing apart the powerful Sword Qi.

His physique was so powerful, the air current around him gained enough momentum to blast away their attacks like paper.

Bam!

A huge crater was made as Mo Jidong's fist landed. The many cultivators who were lucky enough to avoid it were sent flying into the air, before falling down like pigeons. Suddenly, a sword cut down from behind.

Mo Jidong turned around and chopped at the sword, breaking it into two pieces. His attack was swift and powerful. The young man who had just tried to cut him dropped the sword and ran away with all his might.

He felt as though he had just angered a Demon Lord, and wet himself as he ran away. He reminded himself over and over not to mess with someone like Mo Jidong again, as he soon disappeared from the battlefield.

After finishing off everyone, Mo Jidong shook his head. "Weak." he muttered under his breath. If those he had defeated heard him, they would curse immediately. "F*ck! It's not that we're weak okay? You're just stupidly strong, are you even human?" was what they would've said.

With nothing left to do here, Mo Jidong leapt into the air and traveled to another location, to see if he could find anything else that was interesting.

******

Far away, a handsome youth dressed in blue had arrived in a location where everyone was peaceful. Rather than fighting, everyone didn't waste their time and sat down to comprehend. What were they trying to comprehend?

A set of sword moves were drawn on a stone tablet. Each of the drawings represented a move, with eighteen moves in total. The youth in blue was Long He Yu, he spent some time wandering around, to eventually end up in his current location.

Finding a place for himself, Long He Yu sat down to comprehend the eighteen sword techniques. Even though he didn't use a sword, he could still learn from it and incorporate it into a set of staff moves instead.

Nearby, a youth was a little excited. "I've been sitting here for over an hour, just a little more and I'll learn all eighteen moves, just one more." the youth thought briefly. His mind soon returned to comprehending the moves.

A few others were also up to the seventeenth move at this moment. Each of them felt that they were geniuses and were about to comprehend the sword moves. Suddenly, they all felt that something was wrong, as the aura coming off from the stone tablet was lessening at a rapid speed.

"What's going on? Why is the energy disappearing so quickly? Is someone about to comprehend the eighteenth move? No! I must be the first to do so."

Within a few minutes, the entirety of the stone tablet was empty. No more energy was being released from the tablet. Small cracks appeared starting from the bottom, slowly rising before appearing all over the tablet.

Crack!

In the blink of an eye, the stone tablet had cracked, forever disappearing with the sword technique. Everyone who was comprehending opened their eyes in frustration, with just a little more they would've been the first one to comprehend the moves.

As they opened their eyes, they saw that the tablet had turned into rubble. "What the f*ck?! It was perfectly fine just before, why is it in rubbles now? Even if someone tried to destroy it, they would be repelled in an instant!"

Of all hundred or so people there, they all had the same thoughts. All but for one person who was still in a state of comprehension. A powerful surge of energy that resembled that of the stone tablet was surrounding his body.

A vortex of Spiritual Qi enveloped him, as all eighteen moves were performed within his mind. Once the eighteen moves were stuck inside his mind, he opened his eyes, only to find that everyone was staring at him.

"???"

"When did you get here?" someone asked him. Long He Yu looked at the person asking him and replied, "I just got here a few minutes ago, what happened to the stone tablet?" he asked back, completely puzzled.

"..."

".."

"Was it you who comprehended the sword technique?" someone else asked. It was a stupid question, and the answer was obvious, but he couldn't help but ask anyway. Long He Yu nodded as he scratched his face.

"F*ck! We spent over an hour comprehending, and you comprehend all eighteen moves in just a few minutes? Do you even want others to live? Not only that, you destroyed the stone tablet too!"

"Eh? Me? All I did was comprehend it though, weird…" Long He Yu muttered silently. Since there was nothing left, Long He Yu turned around and prepared to leave.

"Wait." a voice called out to him. Obviously, someone wasn't happy that he had made all their efforts in vain.

"Can you perform the eighteenth move for us to see?" that same person asked. Hearing this, Long He Yu sneered, "Even if I performed it for you, will you be able to understand it? Taking over an hour and only getting to the seventeenth move." he thought.

Ignoring that person, he continued walking away. Suddenly, a powerful aura burst from behind him, a Sword Qi was released and aimed at his back. A black staff appeared in Long He Yu's hand, turning around, he pointed his staff forward, which broke apart the Sword Qi.

The person who had attacked him just now was someone at the First Stage of the Noble Realm. The other people were of similar strength. He saw that his attack was destroyed with a simple move, and was angered.

"Isn't that the eighth move? But wait, he uses a rod. He actually turned a sword move into one that was suitable for using with a rod?" the person who attacked him was shocked once again.

His pride was shattered instantly. Even if he spent a few years trying, he may not necessarily be able to do such a thing. Yet, someone had actually done so in just a few minutes of arriving.

He felt as though he was a waste and should just knock himself to death with tofu. Long He Yu didn't take the attack kindly, since they made the first move, it was only polite to respond. The latter smiled, as he raised his staff, a thin membrane of Water Qi enveloped his staff, as he moved.

Long He Yu moved through the crowd and aimed at the person who attacked him. Obviously, the former wouldn't just stand there and wait to be hit. Earth Qi formed under his feet, aiming for Long He Yu, while the sword in his hand slashed downward.

Whoosh!

Long He Yu pointed his staff forward, destroying the Earth Qi and passed through unhindered. He avoided the Sword Qi and arrived shortly in front of his opponent. Just as he was about to strike, he sensed another source of Qi aiming for him.

Rotating his body, he appeared like drops of water, rather than a human being. He somehow appeared behind the person he was aiming for, and struck his opponent with his staff.

Bang!

That person was slammed hard into the ground, creating a deep hole that buried him. Long He Yu's staff was thrown in an instant, as it returned on its own like a boomerang after knocking out the person who attacked him in that short moment.

Holding his staff, Long He Yu glanced at everyone surrounding him. With a rod in hand, Long He Yu stood off against the world.
