Name

The ten-thousandth year of the calendar. A Mini World left behind by a powerful figure known as the Flame Marquess was opened for the tenth time during the thousand years since his death.

Currently, inside this Mini World, the powerful ones remained and were all inside a large cave where a precious piece of treasure was hiding. It was a large stairwell with exactly a hundred steps, with each step having a qualitative difference from the previous step.

The higher one climbed, the harder it would be on them. Many had given up on the lower stages, which meant their future attainments weren't high. Of course, this wasn't guaranteed since many things could happen during a cultivator's life, but it would act as a base.

Inside that very dame cave, dozens of people had already climbed the stairwell. Just before, there were two dazzling figures who made it very high up the staircase. Both of them had gone past the eighty-fifth step, which was nearing the top of the staircase.

At this moment, there were three youths climbing up the stairwell at the same time. While everyone else had taken their turns one-by-one, this group did so differently. The three youths each were dressed decently, not very eye-catching, but their actions were contrary.

They were also all handsome, with two of them being exceptionally so. The three youths were Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu. They were climbing up the stairwell at the same time with everyone having their eyes on them.

Yan Lenglei was walking casually with his hands behind his back, while Mo Jidong walked behind him with his arms crossed. Long He Yu was a little behind Mo Jidong and walked normally.

The three of them were climbing at a rapid and steady pace, much faster than everyone else who had gone before them. It was like they were taking a stroll in their backyard rather than undergoing a trial.

The youth in gold, as well as the young man with the sword both, had their eyes on the trio who were still climbing. Obviously, they wanted to see how far this group could go.

On the stairwell, Yan Lenglei and the other two climbed leisurely, even as they passed through the sixtieth floor. They were walking so casually, it was like the pressure on the stairwell didn't exist.

Actually, it was the opposite. Because they were climbing at the same time, the difficulty in climbing the stairway was multiplied based on the number of people climbing.

Even so, they climbed very freely without any trouble. Seeing their climb, those watching below either had twitching eyelids or twitching mouths, while many of them struggled to reach even the fortieth floor, Yan Lenglei's group quickly reached the sixtieth floor and continued advancing without batting an eyelid.

One could only imagine how they felt on the inside.

On the stairway, Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu soon arrived at the seventieth step. By now, the pressure was immense, many times higher than those who had reached this point earlier.

The three of them continued advancing at the same steady pace, showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. "Those people struggled to get here, how come I don't feel anything?" Long He Yu wondered. Obviously, he was still the young man who didn't think too much of his own talent.

Such thoughts were going through his head at this moment. If those below could read his mind, they wouldn't be able to stop themselves from cursing. Moments later, Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu arrived at the eightieth step.

Those watching had their eyeballs close to popping out their sockets as they had been watching the entire climb. Two minutes hadn't even passed yet, and they were already on the eightieth step, their pace wasn't slowing down either, making them feel like they had been living for no reason.

The youth in gold and the other youth were also surprised. They knew first-hand just how hard it was to reach the eightieth floor, but three youths who were even younger than them had reached that point so easily.

They weren't even out of breath the entire time!

Eighty-one, eighty-three, eighty-five, eighty-seven. All three of them had climbed past this point, which was the record of this past century. They were still climbing, as they soon reached the ninetieth step, where the pressure was now incredibly heavy.

Long He Yu was starting to run out of breath, while Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong seemed perfectly fine. He didn't find anything strange about that, since he knew that he was far inferior to them, even so, he had reached the ninetieth step with ease.

Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong climbed higher, while Long He Yu trailed behind them. Ninety-one, ninety-two. With their speed not dropping. At this point, those watching below didn't care about anything else and simply watched.

They all looked as though their souls had left their bodies and already headed off to the Netherworld. They no longer had any thoughts of competing or even trying to compare themselves to these three freaks that appeared out of nowhere, such talents were incomprehensible to them, but they only knew one thing.

The futures of these three will be remarkable, assuming they grew up to reach their displayed potential. Even the thought of hugging their thighs and kissing up to them didn't exist, as such talents wouldn't even bother a look at them.

Instead, they found new comrades in each other, who shared the same thoughts.

On the staircase, Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu were at the ninety-seventh step. There were only three more steps until they reached the peak, where the pressure would be the greatest.

Taking the last three steps, Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong reached the top unhindered, as though they were walking in the garden of their home. When they did so, they turned around and waited for Long He Yu.

When the two of them made it to the peak, Long He Yu was on the ninety-ninth step. One foot was planted firmly on the one-hundredth step, while his other foot was about to be planted down.

The pressure he felt was immense, it was as though he was carrying the entire world on his back. Even so, Long He Yu was determined. A single drop of sweat dripped from his forehead, while his breath was a little unsteady.

Even so, he planted his foot onto the platform, reaching the same stage as Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong. Now, all three of them were at the top. They looked down towards those who had climbed earlier, while the two youths who had climbed far stood up and looked at them.

From behind, a surge of Flame Qi that was incredibly powerful shot out from the ceiling and turned into words. The names Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu were able to be read from the flames.

Obviously, the flames had formed a list with their names on it, since they had climbed to the peak. After a few seconds, the flames dispersed and disappeared completely. During those few seconds, Yan Lenglei had seen two other names above their own names, obviously, it was the names of two who had also climbed to this stage in the past.

With nothing left, Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu started to climb back down. On the way down, the pressure was extremely light, just like when they had climbed up. Obviously, the trial wasn't such a tough one, since Long He Yu could easily make it to the top.

Of course, this was only his own thoughts. He didn't think he was too talented but didn't think of himself as a waste either. He had worked hard and cultivated for a year before he met Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong.

Once they made it to the bottom, everyone was looking at them since they were in the limelight. Someone in the crowd, who was at the Fifth stage of the Noble Realm spoke, "Congratulations on making it to the top, I wonder where you have come from?" they said.

Their tone was neither respectful nor disrespectful. It was simply out of curiosity. Of course, as people who didn't like to talk, none of the three replied. Instead, someone else drew their sword and pointed it at them.

"Before you leave, I would like to test your strength." they said. Their Fifth stage Noble Realm cultivation base was released, as they pointed their sword at Yan Lenglei and co.

Looking at the person who pointed his sword at them, Long He Yu moved. He dashed forward, as Yan Lenglei threw something into his hand. Grabbing it, Long He Yu found that he was holding an incredibly powerful Spiritual Tool, which was also a one-handed staff.

Obviously, it was the rod that Yan Lenglei had taken earlier before he met up with them. Now that it was in Long He Yu's hand, his battle prowess would be improved considerably.

With the rod in his hand, Long He Yu released his Water Qi. Two clones appeared out of nowhere, each identical to him and no weaker than himself. With the staff in his hand, Long He Yu felt his strength skyrocket onto another level.

His staff came out, as he performed the newly learned moves from the stone tablet that he had comprehended during the past few days.

Whoosh!

His main body held the staff and lashed forward, immediately swiping backward, as if predicting where the opponent would hide.

Bang!

His rod slammed hard against the opponent's sword, flinging him back a few steps. Before he could regain his posture, the opponent felt a sharp pain on his waist, as well as incoming danger from his head.

Bang!

Long He Yu's opponent moved his body and turned his sword to deflect the rod that was aiming for his head, as soon as he did, a black staff slammed hard into his body. The person who was hit coughed up some blood, he had no idea how he had been injured, thinking that he had dodged the previous blow.

Unfortunately, he was wrong. Long He Yu had two clones, it was easy for him to fake an attack and hit his opponent with a real one behind the fake. Since there were three of the same person, it was hard to distinguish which was real, and which was fake.

It was as if all three were the real Long He Yu. Soon, his two clones turned into raindrops that poured onto the ground as he held the black rod and turned his head to face the other people.

"Anyone else?" he asked. His tone was somewhat arrogant, completely different from how he was before. Obviously, through his short journey with Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong, he had somehow become influenced by them. It was also partly because he accepted to be a Piece under Mo Jidong, arrogance was hidden deep in his bones, ready to come out at any time.

While he knew of this, he thought it wasn't bad, and actually felt that his mindset had changed for the better. He originally thought that his talents were pretty good, but not too strong, after meeting Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong. Only by coming here, did he realize that he was actually better than he thought.

One had to realize, the gap between stages was large, let alone realms. For Long He Yu to be able to defeat an opponent seven stages above him, ignoring almost an entire realm or mini realms, meant that he was tyrannical.

If he learned more techniques and fought more battles, his strength would only become stronger over time and not any less. Hearing Long He Yu's words, those who were only around the same strength as the young man that the latter had just defeated.

Only a few amongst the people inside the cave were stronger than him. What confused them the most, was that while the fight was short, Long He Yu had never revealed his cultivation base. Everyone assumed he was at least the Third stage of the Noble realm and owned powerful combat prowess, never would they think that he was only at the Seventh stage of the Awakening realm!
