Ruins

High in the vast boundless sky, a golden lotus was seen rotating at a speed that was neither slow nor fast. However, the speed at which the golden lotus moved through the sky was incredible, being as fast as lightning. Many lakes, mountains, and villages were skipped over in the blink of an eye, even so, the destination they were heading for would take a few days to reach.

On the golden lotus, Yan Lenglei and Mo Jidong couldn't make any progress in comprehending the Way of Wind. The Spiritual Tool they were on was obviously of an extremely high grade, making the wind pressure and resistance non-existent. Since that was the case, they could only work on further improving on their current powers while waiting to arrive at their destination.

While traveling, Ning Lianqi was constantly surrounded by disciples who greeted and wanted to chat with her. Even though she had only left for a month, many of the disciples had many things they wanted to say to her. This was especially so of her admirers, as well as the female disciples that called her, 'sister'.

Meanwhile, nobody really paid attention to Yan Lenglei's group apart from a few who asked about them. Obviously, since they could become her bodyguards, it meant that each of them was also extremely powerful. While Ning Lianqi was already a Noble Realm cultivator and could fight across levels, she was still only an Early Noble and had just broken through, hence she would still be considered weak within the ancient ruins.

Since this was the case, many of the disciples were worried about her safety in which she assured them that she would be safe during the journey. Of course, there were those that were skeptical of this, but they didn't want to make any trouble on the trip, especially in front of the Elders and the Sect Leader, hence they could only keep it to themselves.

Soon enough, a week passed quickly, with those of the Celestial Lotus Sect arriving over an ancient ruins. The sky around the ruins was extremely dark, with extremely dark thunderclouds looming, as well as ferocious wind and Demonic Beasts of different kinds roaming.

It was like that in an area of twenty Li around the ruins, all covered in darkness. At the very center of the ruins, was a large array with a gate that was filled with Spatial Spiritual Qi. Obviously, this was the entry point into the true world within the ancient ruins of Gu Feixu.

With their arrival, the other top-ranked sects looked over in their direction. There were sects that were from the Great Solar Empire, as well as those from outside of the Great Solar Empire. Obviously, the ancient ruins attracted the attention of those all over the realm.

When they landed, the Sect Leader and elders went off the greet the other important figures in the other sects, while the disciples all stayed in a single spot until the entry to the ancient ruins would open. Soon, as a few hours had passed, many other sects arrived in the short timeframe. The entrance to the Gu Feixu would open at exactly noon, and would only open for a short time. Those who didn't make it inside would be stuck outside and could only wait outside with the rest of the Sect Leaders and Elders.

The Gu Feixu opened once every thousand years, and only those below the Baron Realm could enter. Why did everyone want to enter the Gu Feixu? It was because not only was the Mini World extremely potent and rich in Spiritual Qi, but also contained treasure that was left behind in an ancient battlefield that happened millions of years ago.

Of course, since it had been opened many times during these millions of years, the treasures left behind to be inherited were gradually lessening. But there was also a benefit of this, since many of the treasures were taken, that meant that only the more powerful and ancient inheritances were left to be found.

This also meant that the danger was higher than it had been in the past, while many would lose their lives, or may not find anything during the time that it opened. Even so, there has always been lucky individuals in every generation that had inherited something when they exit the ruins.

As soon as it was time, a powerful force was sensed by everyone, causing their expressions to sharpen and face the gate of the Gu Feixu. When it was time, the gate to the ancient ruins suddenly expanded to an incredible size that could even fit a mountain within. The Sect Leaders and Elders faced their disciples, as a single word caused them all to be frantic.

"Go!"

As soon as the sentence dropped, a pregnant silence filled the entire surroundings around the gate for a few moments, before thousands of disciples from various sects all jumped inside the gate at once.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The sound of countless young people jumping through could be heard by the Sect Leaders and Elders of the sects. Seated outside the gate, they would all wait for the disciples to return with a solemn expression.

*****

On the other side of the gate, Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu stood behind Ning Lianqi and the other disciples as they jumped through the gate. It seemed like a large portion of those who were in the same group stayed together, while others were teleported elsewhere. It seemed to be that the gateway to the Gu Feixu held another secret within it.

Looking around, there seemed to be roughly a twenty or so disciples of the Celetial Lotus Sect in their group. Roughly another twenty would presumably be in other groups that were teleported elsewhere within the ruins.

Their surroundings were filled with a large barren land, filled with nothing but strong sandstorms and the scorching heat of a desert. In the distance, ancient buildings that had long fallen could be seen buried deep within the sand.

In the sky, was a black sun that radianted light that was extremely bright, being a complete contrast to the color of the sun itself.

Around them, there was only two of the dozens of groups from different sects nearby. The distance that seperated them was less than two li, but none of the groups tried to attack another. There were many reasons for this. Of the reasons, there were a few important ones. Firstly, since they had just entered the Gu Fiexu, they were unaware of the potential danger lurking around them. Secondly, it was still early and nothing had been found yet, so it would be a waste to cause friction with another sect and lose some manpower over nothing. Thirdly, whichever sect made a move first, would allow the other sects to see the possible danger around them if they moved from their current locations.

Within their group of twenty or so disciples, Ning Lianqi was surrounded and automatically became the leader of their group. While she wasn't the most powerful, she held the highest position within their group, which the strongest within the group had acknowledged. Looking around, it seemed to be quite disadvantageous to stay in their current location without a plan.

"Everyone, since I am the leader, let us create a plan." Ning Lianqi spoke. Everyone agreed with her and began to discuss on their next move. While Ning Lianqi was leading the group of disciples, Yan Lenglei, Mo Jidong, and Long He Yu didn't participate and only stayed in silence. Such a sandstorm and heat wouldn't affect them at all even without using their Spiritual Qi, which the disciples of the sects had all been doing as soon as they entered their current location.

They simply looked around and tried to sense anything around them that could be a potential threat to the group of disciples, or anything that was left for inheritance within the Gu Feixu. The time spent within the Gu Feixue was extremely precious. One month inside was only one week back in their world. The Spiritual Qi around them was also extremely rich, allowing them to cultivate faster and breakthrough bottlenecks with greater ease.

The Gu Feixu was open for one week in their world, which meant that they had a month to explore the Gu Feixu. It was unknown how much of the Mini World they could explore, but the things found within are extremely beneficial.

Looking far into the distance, Yan Lenglei's pupils changed and became gold in color. His vision was enhanced, allowing him to see much further into the distance, as well as allowing him to see the Spiritual Qi within his surroundings. One must know that the Spiritual Qi of Heaven and Earth were invisible to the naked eye. It could only be seen when cultivators fought in which the Spiritual Qi had long been absorbed and changed within a person's body, hence it was pretty much impossible to be able to see pure Spiritual Qi.

Even so, it was nothing much for Yan Lenglei, as Mo Jidong faced a different direction and looked off into the distance with completely pitch black eyes that filled his entire eyeball. Obviously, he was doing the same thing as Yan Lenglei and watched in a different direction. Currently, their cultivation bases weren't enough for them to see in a vast distance in every direction. Since this was the case, they could only narrow their site to a single direction which allowed them to see extremely far away.

After a while, their eyes returned to normal in which they didn't find any treasures. Instead, they could see Demonic Beasts of the First and Second Grade hiding underneath the sand dunes, awaiting to ambush anyone who came near them.

Even though they saw this, they didn't speak to anyone. Their job was only to protect Ning Lianqi and Ning Lianqi alone. Everything else was up to her, and they would only intervene if she was to meet with any danger. Currently, all three of them were at the Eighth Stage of the Awakening Realm. There was nothing that could cause them harm, apart from those that were at the peak of the Noble Realm, or those of the Demon Race, and peak Second Grade Demonic Beasts.

This trip to the Gu Feixu may not bring them any benefits in coming, but it allowed them to expand their horizons and see many different things. If they were lucky, they may even inherit something useful from those that had fallen on this battlefield from the war that took place millions of years ago.

At the same time, Ning Lianqi had finished discussing with the other disciples of the Celestial Lotus Sect. Informing them of her plan, Yan Lenglei didn't react at all, as if he didn't hear a thing she had said. It was as though she was talking to a stone statue, rather than a living and breathing human. Seeing that Ning Lianqi was 'ignored', a few disciples saw this and were upset. Though, they restrained themselves from making a fuss, since the person directly involved didn't mind.

Soon, Ning Lianqi lead the disciples of the Celestial Lotus Sect in a single direction, while the disciples kept their guard up. As they moved, the other two groups from different sects looked over at them in anticipation.

It they were able to safely leave the area, they would follow and head into another direction. After a while, then disciples of the Celestial Lotus Sect were beginning to sweat. They had been maintaining the expension of their Spiritual Qi the entire time. While it wouldn't affect them greatly if a fight weremto occur, every single bit of Spiritual Qi was precious. At this rate, the group may need to rest and recover their Spiritual Qi before they continued traveling in search for the rest of the disciples of their sect, as well as for any hidden inheritances that may be left behind withtin the Gu Feixu.
