A fine morning, where the temperature was extremely hot and scorching, a young man in blue had slain a Late Stage Second Grade Demonic Beast with a few moves. Even though it was gravely wounded already due to the combined might of dozens of disciples, the simple attacks by this young man had done more damage than their combined effort.
What caused the disciples to be awestruck, was that they couldn't even see him move, before he suddenly appeared by the side of the Demonic Beast and broke through its armor with a single blow. The blow seemed casual, but it was extremely powerful. The young man also didn't even break a sweat when he had killed the Demonic Beast that had caused them all to be heavily injured and coughing up mouthfuls of blood.
"This fellow daoist, thank you. Even though it was your job, we would still like to express our gratitude." one of the Late Stage Noble Realm disciple of the Celestial Lotus Sect said. Even though he was injured, he could still stand and cup his hand in respect. Seeing their senior brother take this step, those that could move all did the same, while those that couldn't expressed it with their facial expression.
Not minding them too much, Long He Yu nodded so that he wouldn't seem too unpolite. With the danger gone, the disciples all sat crosslegged and started to recover from their injuries. Taking out Medicinal Pills from their sachets, they popped a pill in order to use the medicinal properties of the pill to recover from their injuries, while also restoring some of their lost Spiritual Qi.
One by one, the disciples slowly recovered from their injuries. Once they had all recovered, Ning Lianqi began to lead the group again.

Ding!
Ding!
The sound of blades crossing, as well as multiple battles occuring at the same time could be heard somewhere within the Gu Feixu. Two groups from different sects were fighting at this moment. One group wore purple and green robes, while the other wore less showy robes, but each one of them had a lotus somewhere on their clothes. Obviously, this second group belonged to the Celestial Lotus Sect. This second group that was split off from Ning Lianqi's group, was currently fighting with another sect.
"Celestial Lotus Sect, you better give up the inheritance, you are no match for the Golden Dawn Sect. The few of you may be strong, but you cannot win with these numbers." one disciple of the Golden Dawn Sect spoke in contempt. Even though their side was weaker in quality, they had a larger group to make up for the lack of skill. The two sects were fighting over an inheritance in which the Celestial Lotus Sect had discovered first, before the Golden Dawn Sect suddenly came over and attacked them.
The two sides faced off, while the stronger members spoke loudly so that everyone fighting could hear it. Suddenly, a fist slammed hard into the sword of a Golden Dawn disciple, sending him flying a meter away. Obviously, this disciple of the Celestial Lotus Sect, was a Body Refiner. His body was incredibly tough, while his limbs were his weapons.
A Sixth Stage Noble Realm cultivation base was sensed from the Body Refiner. With his state, he could rival those of the Eight Stage of the Noble Realm. As he blasted his opponent away, many drew their attention away from the figt and focused their blades on him. It seemed like he was the biggest threat to them, as well as the only one who was a Body Refiner. Of course, Body Refiners were incredibly rare, hence it wasn't strange at all. As multiple people focused their attacks on him, the disciples that were now free all attacked their opponents that had turned away from the fight.
The disciplesmof the Golden Dawn Sect weren't stupid. As soon as their opponents attacked their backs, they instantly turned around and countered in a few breaths of time. Being caught offgaurd by the sudden counter, the Celestial Lotus Sect disciples were sent flying, as they out mouthfuls of blood from various kinds of wounds.
Seeing his fellow junior brothers and sisters injured, the Body Refiner of the Celestial Lotus Sect roared. His muscles buldged, as he sprinted for the closest opponent and slammed hard into them.
Crack!
As Non-Body Refiners, their bodies were incredibly fragile. By slamming into them with his body, his opponent broke multitudes of bones and coughed up blood. His attack didn't stop as he rampaged through thr battlefield on his own, suffering sword wounds and stabs all over his body.
Dozens of Golden Dawn disciples attacked him, while he too attacked aggressively without worrying about his wounds. "Since you want to die, let me help and send you to hell." the leader of the Golden Dawn disciples said. A powerful surge of Wind Spiritual Qi surrounded his sword and prepared to stab forward towards the back of his opponent.
Suddenly, he felt as though his throat was being clasped by the grim reaper, causing him to choke from the lack of air. His lungs started to fail him, as an immediate sense of danger screamed from throughout his body. Before he could react to it, something appeared in the blink of an eye and lopped his arm off.
"Aaaaaaaaah!" he screamed, clenching the wound where his arm was seperated from the rest of his body. Seeing this, everyone stopped fighting and looked into the horizon. Suddenly, they saw multiple figures dressed in robes with a lotus embedded and sewn somewhere on their clothes rushing in their direction.
"Senior sister and the rest of the disciples!" they all thought.
Roar!
The Body Refiner disciple roared as he continued his rampage against his opponents. As for the disciples of the Golden Dawn Sect, they fought back as they began to retreat under the sudden attack by the other group from the Celestial Lotus Sect.
All being in the corner, the disciples of the Golden Dawn Sect had retreated a fair distance away. "You're stull not leaving? Do you need me to invite you out, or will you leave on your own?" the Body Refiner disciple spoke. His expression was icy as he stared at them, causing fear in the hearts of the weaker disciples who were injured by him previously. Even though he had wounds and even a hole in his body, their opponent seemed unfazed and even threatened them into retreating.
Very quickly, the discipels of the Golden Dawn Sect retreated and left far away from them. Once they wrre out of sight, the Body Refiner disciple coughed a mouthful of blood and dropped to one knee. Obviously, his body was starting to give in to the blood loss and would need to recover immediately.
From dozens of meters away, Long He Yu flicked his finger, sending a Medicinal Pill into the mouth of the Body Refining disciple. Closing his eyes, the disciple nodded and began to recover from his wounds, while the bleeding slowly began to stop at a visible rate.
The remaining disciples also popped a pill into their mouths and started to recover as well. Only when they had sufficiently recovered, did they open their eyes and welcome the other group of disciples from their sect. Naturally, Ning Lianqi had drawn the most attention because of her talent and status, while other disciples met up with their friends.
The Body Refining disciple, who had recovered from his wounds, with the hole in his body closed up got up to thank Long He Yu for the pill. While he had one himself, he didn't have the energy to take one out of his own sachet, the pill the former had given him had saved him.
"Thank you, the timing was perfect." he cupped his hands and thanked. "It's fine." Long He Yu replied. Suddenly, he added another sentence after a brief moment of silence. "Not bad."
While the Body Refining disciple didn't know what he meant by, "Not bad.", he could only cup his hand awkwardly in silence before joining the rest of the disciples. A while later, Ning Lianqi thanked them for helping. "No need for thanks, we acted on our own because we were bored." Mo Jidong told her, causing her to be speechless. Though, she was quite used to their antiques and simply joined the rest of the disciples shortly afterward.
After everyone had recovered from their injuries and were good to go, the disciples of the Celestial Lotus Sect became serious, as the inheritance that they had discovered was just ahead. Looking at the inheritance with his eyes, Yan Lenglei found that it was quite ordinary and wouldn't benefit them at all.
From what he saw, the inheritance was from a footman that had fought in the war millionsnof years ago. While he was only a footman, his cultivation stage had reached the Viscount Realm, it was quite hard to imagine how strong the real fighters of the war were, when the cannon fodder were Viscounts.
This particular inheritance was from a Viscount Realm cultivator that was close to reaching the Earl Realm. A practitioner of the Way of Spears, as well as the Way of Fire. The inheritance left behind would allow one to gain insight on a type of Spear Art, as well as strengthening ones Way of Spears.
Of course, this increase was very minor, but was still a grest chance for many of the disciples who practiced the Way of Spears. Since the inheritance was nothing special, it wouldn't be too difficult for these disciples to find a successor to this inheritance.
Watching from afar, Yan Lenglei's group didn't move, while those that practiced the Way of Spears came forward. There were only two of them from all forty or so disciples, hence only those two came forward and channeled their Spiritual Qi into the place where the inheritance was left. Where was the inheritance? It was on a stone slab that had survived the long passing of time, while a rune was drawn with blood on the slab. Whoever could comprehend and resonate with the rune would be the one to receive this inheritance.
As the two disciples stepped forward and channeled their Spiritual Qi, the rune on the stone slab suddenly lit up. A bright light, as well as a powerful Spiritual Qi that came from a Peak Viscount Realm cultivator could be sensed even through the passage of time. Suddenly, the body of one of the two disciples lit up in unison with the rune. Obviously, this particular disciple had been chosen as the successor of the inheritance. Sitting down crosslegged, the disciple began to comprehend and assimilate what he would receive from the inheritance, while the other disciple who was not chosen didn't seem too upset, as though they had known that they wouldn't receive the inheritance.
With a soft sigh, this disciple joined the rest of the disciples, as every single person there waited for the disciple to completely absorb the inheritance.
