Chapter 22- Mother Nature VS Typhoon Tyrant
The soldiers from both sides were taking a break from fighting all day when they heard a giant explosion. Out of curiosity, they tried to figure out where it came from. Their hearts almost stopped beating when they was Gamel fighting Brim. The scene where their powers clash each other was like watching divine beings battle. It was a fight no mortal dared to interfere. The two of them were parrying their swords at a speed no one could keep up.
Gamel was fighting elegantly like a sword maiden dancing with her word while Brim is parrying her attacks swiftly. If they were to battle using sword skills, the results would be a draw. The tables would only turn, especially for Gamel if they use magic skills. She placed higher than Brim at magic power and has the ability to control almost everything in the world, except for the heavenly bodies which only Stella could control.
Gamel knew that she was more superior than Brim when it comes to magic power yet she's trying her best to use sword skills instead. The soldiers also noticed Gamel's intention and started mocking Brim. " Just surrender now wuss!" one of the soldiers shouted, but was instantly killed by Brim's lightning strike.
" Why don't you use that lightning of yours and kill me?' Gamel asked in a mocking tone.
Brim just smiled and secretly cat a lightning spell beneath Gamel but she dodged it easily. " That's all you got" she mocked him again with a smile on her face.
This time, Brim was really pissed and attacked Gamel using fifth tier spells ut Gamel countered it using fifth tier null magic. They noticed that the spells hit the nearby soldiers and some died so they decided to do an aerial battle. Both of them used [flight] and continued their battle above the castle. Kazuki who was below, wanted to join the battle but was stopped by Pegasus. Pegasus wanted to let the supreme mages have fun in their fight without any restrains and he knew that Kazuki would just interrupt them so he used [stun] on him that will last for a few minutes. Gamel noticed what Pegasus did below and silently thanked him. She wanted to test her powers on other supreme mages since the day she became one but Griffin made a law that supreme mages cannot fight when there is no wan inn need of their assistance and now is her only chance.
She used [Vine Growth] to bind Brim but he easily cut it using his [Wind slash]. The onlookers were lucky to witness the battle of the strongest right before their eyes. Some can't even speak due to awestruck while others are placing bets on who will win.
A few minutes later, Pegasus' stun on Kazuki wore off and he looked above him. Kazuki felt sorry for not bringing Sakura and Maggie with them. He knew that Maggie wanted to become a supreme mage even though she never tells anyone, but she's really shy to tell them even if she wanted to.
Sakura and Maggie begged him to bring them to battle, and even said that they will do Kazuki any favor but he feels uneasy bringing girls to the battlefield. Griffin also agreed with Kazuki's decision so they stayed back to help Griffin with paperwork. After all, he's been facing a pile of paper alone so having Maggie and Sakura as assistants.
Going back to the fight, Brim's stamina is almost empty due to continuous dodging from Gamel's spells. After a few more minutes, Gamel locked him to a position where he had no choice but to use his strongest move, [Hurricane Blast].
(Note: Hurricane blast is the strongest wind type magic only supreme mages with wind affinity can use. It summons a giant tornado with boulders rotating around it and in it's canter lies a magic circle that casts [wind slash] on whoever steps on it. Not even supreme mages were able to withstand this spell)
Brim knew he wouldn't stand a chance against Gamel so he decided to use his hidden trump card. He cast [Hurricane Blast] along with [lightning strike] to increase its damage and add paralysis on whoever gets hit by the spell. He then swiftly flew behind Gamel and pushed her towards the tornado.
