Reality

The night slowly faded into sunrise as I sat with a small smile on my face. Everyone quickly woke with the exception of Senaris, who had a peaceful smile on her face as she slept on my shoulder. I woke her soon after everyone packed up and she woke with a small blush on her face as she scampered away. I laughed as I stood up and stretched, coming face to face with a sleepy looking Karmest. "Ah, g'morning Yuu...sleep well?" He said while yawning.

I adopted a wry smile "Stop calling me Yuu...and I don't really need sleep..." I said while continuing to stretch my limbs.

"No need to be so cold my dear Yuu...ah, you must be in your rebellious phase!" Karmest said while nodding his head. I felt as if this guy would be very annoying, and oh man was I right. This guy is definitely a pain in my ass...

"So, what are we going to do now? We can't just let that massive fleet of Demons set foot to n Ralithon..." I said

"Ah, if that what you're worried about..." Karmest disappeared and a massive cloud appeared in the distance, a powerful shockwave following shortly after he reappeared "then I can just do that!" I felt my mouth drop to the ground in shock.

"W-Wait...what about that General guy you said would come...?" I stuttered, completely awed by his power, yet frustrated the at he held back against me...

"Oh, I never said he was on a ship...he could probably make the trek from Velentra to Ralithon in less that 10 minutes..."

I wasn't even surprised anymore at this point. I sighed and threw my hands up before walking toward the group and asking for advice on what we should do next since the whole Demon fleet was literally just annihilated. I heard many things from stay here and kill any stragglers to hurry up and head home. They were no help at all...

"We should have a small team report back to the King while the rest stay here and look for stragglers and deal with them accordingly." Yazir suggested while covering up stray tracks within the cave.

"Actually...I think that's a decent idea...but the stronger ones of the group would have to go and you three would stay behind with the rest of us." I said with a thoughtful expression.

Yazir nodded his head "Yes, I believe that is a good enough plan for now. Go and pick who you want to send the message and get it going."

I planned on going along myself so I could make sure that everyone who went was safe. Even though I didn't fully trust the three lieutenants I could at least try and test my luck for now. In the end I picked Verm, Kyrm, and myself to be the ones to head back to Northgate and report on our findings while everyone else would stay with the lieutenants and 'clean up'.

"So, you guys are heading out...huh...?" Kabuto asked with a conflicted expression.

"Yeah, but don't worry...you guys will be safe and so will we. So stop worrying four-eyes." I said with a wink. I bumped the side of his head with the back of my fist as I walked over to everyone else and exchanged hugs with the ones that wanted one before getting my things packed and in order. We set out at once and made our way toward Northgate at breakneck speeds.

We came across a few Mana Beasts but no Demons had appeared, even during the night when we made camp and slept. "Hey, Verm...do you think everyone at Northgate are doing well...?" I asked as I stared up at the sky.

"Well, to be honest yes. There should be no other Demon attacks besides the one that we had just come from...why do you ask?" He replied with an inquisitive look.

"Nah it's nothin...just wondering if Kain is doing well is all..." A slight smile crept up to my face as I remembered the many times Kain had made it seem like I was apart of his family and treated me with such respect...he's truly a man who deserves nothing but happiness...

A muffled boom from afar caught our attention. "Hey, did you guys hear that?" Kyrm asked as he slowly rose from his sleeping bag. I myself jumped out of mine in one smooth motion while cocking my head in the direction of the noise. I shrugged and said "Well, we could try and check it out but it sounded pretty far..."

We all three exchanged glances before slipping back into our bags before slowly falling asleep. We woke to a heavy smell of ash in the air. Snowflakes began to slowly float down, but they were a dark color instead of white. We hurriedly packed out things and began to sprint in the location of Northgate without saying a word.

At the rate we were going it would take at least three more days to get to Northgate city, but that was too long. I began to cycle my mana through my body at double the usual rate causing me to have a massive increase in speed. I sped through the trees and passed many of the villages we had run across previously, most of them had stopped burning. As I began to get closer to Northgate the Mana Beasts started to appear more often, and more aggressive than usual.

I sent out a massive wave of bloodlust, causing all of the beast nearby to freeze in terror before their heads were unceremoniously lopped off their necks. My pulse began to quicken as my heart beat against my ribcage; I felt sick as the smell of burning bodies got heavier; but I couldn't stop when I was so close.

Minutes turned into hours, and those hours were the worst of all. After about 5 hours of running I had broken out from the tree line, only to be greeted by the screams of the dying, Northgate burning, and Demons on Hell Wyrms assaulting anything that moved. Without thinking I activated my insignia and coursed the red lightning through my veins as my anger continued to build. I grit my teeth and leapt toward the closest Hell Wyrm that floated in the sky. I smashed my fist into its ugly face before decapitating its rider. I jumped off of the now dead Wyrm and continued my assault, killing the Demons as if they were bugs under my heel...

I was now surrounded by easily 300 or more Demons, but I had a wild smile on my face as I slaughtered them all, my rage building to its breaking point. I made my way through a breach in the walls and began to kill every Demon within the city. I had watched people die in front of me while slaughtering those grey-skinned bastards...each death reminding me of the people I had once called my family and their deaths.

I let loose a gut-wrenching yell and began to rapidly absorb mana and infuse it with the insignia's energy. A wild red-black aura began to surround me as the ground cracked and splintered under my feet. Everything around me stood still in fear, be it Demon or Human they were all afraid of me. I saw a well-dressed Demon floating in mid-air with long purple hair that was tied in a neat ponytail, two different colored eyes, his right eye was a bright red while the left was a dull blue, and two large black horns that stuck straight out from his forehead. He wore a purple and white suit with black accents with black boots. I saw him look down at me with an unveiled sense of amusement and disgust.

I put my palms on the ground and snarled before launching myself up toward the smug bastard and throwing out a powerful right hook. The man easily brushed my attack off to the side before trying to plant his boot in my gut, but I managed to dodge his kick and blast him in the face with a bolt of lightning. When the smoke cleared I saw the man standing there while waving his hand in front of his face, not a single scratch was on him. I felt a familiar pain spread through my right arm as blood gushed put from my body to create a couple dozen swords that were imbued with lightning energy as well. I raised my right hand in the air before letting it fall to the ground, muttering "Blood Fall.."

The Demon's brow raised slightly as he dodged all of the blood weapons except for one. He raised his hand in front of the last blood weapon and let it stab him straight through his palm. He sat there with a curious look on his face before closing his hand and absorbing the blood into his own body, healing his injury. "I have to admit...that was splendid use of Blood Arts...what is your name, child?" He asked with a small smile, his arrogant air now faded entirely.

"My name is Yuuki Silver, and I want to know why the hell you're attacking Northgate!" I snarled while adopting a low stance.

"Ahaha, it's because I'm supposed to silly! Orders from the boss can be rough sometimes you know..." He said with a wink.

"And you are?" I asked impatiently

"Oh dear, I forgot to introduce myself." A malicious intent surrounded him as a deep purple aura shrouded his body. He continued "My name is General Osotaro Matsuki!"

I felt my blood chill as I locked eyes with him, a look of a predator who finally caught his prey displayed for me to see clearly. I activated the insignia and grit my teeth as it extended down my arm and flooded my body with power. I dodged a punch but got a knee to the stomach as a result. I was pushed on the defensive as he unleashed a flurry of blows, each causing small shockwaves around us. I pumped lightning energy through my veins to speed up my reaction time as I worked my way around all of his perfectly executed punches. Osotaro smirked and released a weird looking gas from his sleeve. The fumes made me feel lightheaded as I constantly dodged and countered his endless assault. I could tell he was getting cocky after he released this weird ass gas. My guess is that it's poisonous but I could feel the insignia's energy purging all of the toxins a few moments after it had entered my body.

Osotaro began to get frustrated after ten minutes and began to speed up his attacks, this time hitting me more often than not. The bastard was going easy on me. I formed a ball of lightning energy around me to force Osotaro back so I could get some distance, and it actually worked. He jumped back with a slightly annoyed expression on his face as he rubbed the back of his right hand.

"Yuuki! Where the hell are you!"

My eyes widened as I heard two familiar voices coming from somewhere behind me, and Osotaro noticed it. His face morphed into a smile as he disappeared only to reappear with Verm and Kyrm in his grasp. "Ohoho, now I will assume that these two brats are your friends, no?" He said with a smirk.

"Yu-Yuuki...run away, don't worry about us...find the King and run!" Verm said while struggling in the Demon's grasp.

The Demon clicked his tongue and said "Shut up you worthless piece of shit...ah I have an idea to shut you up!" His face transitioned into a sadistic smile as he threw Kyrm and drove his hand threw Verm's stomach...

I felt something in the back of my mind snap as I watched Verm fall to the ground clutching his stomach, his face forming a smile as he mouthed words that never came. I felt a pain in my head but I ignored it and focused on what was in front of me...I was losing my family again, and after I had promised to never lose them again...I can't except this...An unbearable pain spread threw the top of my head and the only thing I felt at the moments was...

Absolute bloodlust...
