As he applied the ointment on the princess's feet, he engaged in a conversation with her. 

"Emi, I'm so sorry for not trusting you back then. I only acted on impulse, it's written all over your face that you can't hurt a fly, not to talk of burning the garden to the ground and hurting Jade." Bruno said as he massaged the princess's feet. 

Emilia was near to tears. 

At last he believed her. 

Bruno pulled her close and parted her hair neatly. 

He stared at her face passionately and hugged her for a moment, after which he pulled off from her. 

"Where were you off to?"

"Jade's room. Do you want to tag along?" Emilia asked. 

"Yeah sure." Bruno replied amidst smiles. 

He helped Emilia up and they both left for Jade's room, to visit her. 

Kpom… kpom… the sound came from the door. 

Jade's door. 

"Come in." A faint voice replied from inside.
