Chapter 45

Anastasia was scrolling through her email. A collaboration was happening once again with her sister's company (like always) and with another company's as well. But she felt the other company was very suspicious.

No scandals, no dirty connections, no problems; nothing! It was just too clean for its own good! How can there be a company with no scandals? It was just too suspicious.

Also, the fact the company's owner was creepy as well. Just through the mails, they seemed off to her. They had a messed-up schedule to send her messages, which wasn't that surprising. Everyone had a messed-up schedule.

And the way they typed was also creepy, as if they knew her very well. If she ever meets this dude, she ain't being even an inch close to them.

As her momma said, don't be close to strangers, especially the creepy aura-giver ones.

Anastasia's company had been involved in many scandals in the past. For example, when people claimed that she put drugs in the confectionery so that's why people bought it a lot and were addicted to it.

The specimen turned out to be fake, and someone had put drugs in it to make people think she added drugs in it.

People even went online and made rumors of her being rude to employees. That one was her favorite one, that person claimed to be an ex-employee and said she was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

They even went as far as calling her a lying and a manipulating bitch. And whatever they saw in public was fake. It caused an uproar, and it turned out to be an employee from the rival company, which resulted in the company hitting rock bottom.

She didn't do anything! I'm not lying! She was just like, k whatever do whatever you want. But the next day, it was wiped out. The entire company went broke. Nobody knows how it went broke.

Some said it was karma because it might be a very skilled hacker who had coincidentally taken all of its money that day.

Anastasia didn't have any dirty connections, but she did have a few in the past. Out of fear, she cut them off from her life and never contacted them again.

'~Marhaebwa da eoseo da 'cause I'm not shy~'

She was just thinking of what she forgot to do just right now when her phone rang. She picked it up without checking the number. "Hello?"

"Umm, are you senior's friend?"

"Who?'

"I'm sorry I mean Scarlett's friend. Are you one of her friends?'

"Yeah I'm her… friend. Who are you?"

"I'm Scarlett's junior. Not exactly senior, she's like my mentor. So anyway, we decided that we'll go to a club for a celebration.

"Then our senior got into a fight with another girl, so we had to go home before the security came to us, then arrest us probably.

"So we came to her house but now she slept on the way and we don't know where she lives so do you know where she lives?"

"She got into a fight?!" the other side heard her nearly yell.

"Yeah."

"Did she win?"

"Uhh she was about to, I guess."

"Damn, I wanted to be there to witness her ripping that girl's face!"

Fox sweated. Yup, his senior's friend and senior must be getting along well then. Both of them are a bit… violent.

"So where are you right now?"

"We're right below the building where we picked her up before. You live there too, right?"

"Yeah. I'll come downstairs in five minutes."

"Thank you."

"Bye."

"And are you okay with carrying her to her apartment?"

"Yeah."

"Okay then bye."

Both sides cut the call, and Anastasia stretched. She still felt she was forgetting something. It was probably important. Meh, she'll do it tomorrow.

She checked the time, and it was exactly 11:00 pm. Avery was sleeping with their doggos in their room right now. Anastasia went to her room and changed into normal clothes.

Before she was wearing a bunny onesie, her twin sisters made it by adding sparkles when they were two and that would be embarrassing if she wore it outside even if she didn't care.

She went downstairs without making a sound and closed the door. The doggos would start a riot if they found out she was going out. She pressed the open button for the lift and it slid open.

Hallelujah's instrumental version was playing in the lift and Anastasia was bobbing her head sideways to the tune. The doors slid open with a ding sound and she got off.

The translucent doors slid open and she could (at last) see where Scarlett and her juniors were.

Something like a van and an SUV combined was at the gates, and the security dude wasn't there standing like always. Probably eating somewhere.

A few people were beside the van-SUV thingy, chatting. She quickly ran up to the gates and opened them. "Hey, are you Scarlett's juniors?"

Luz, Bee, Fox, and Levi nearly passed out and their eyes widened. This woman was their senior's friend? The gorgeous CEO?! The capital's most respected and loved CEO?! Was their senior's friend?! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~!

Fox nearly passed out and Levi had to hold him from falling down while Anastasia walked closer to them. "Hi, are you Scarlett's juniors?"

"Yes, we-we-we ar-are her juniors!" Luz answered while her teeth were chattering.

"Oh, where is she then?"

"Right here!" Bee opened the door and Scarlett was buckled up and drooling. "Fox was the one who decided to tie her up! It was not me!"

"What?! She was in the mood to fight and I had to stop her!"

"That's okay. At least she came home."

Anastasia pushed back the seat and unbuckled Scarlett. "Can someone help me to put her on my back?"

"I can!" Luz volunteered, and Fox rolled his eyes. "You're not even tall enough to put our senior on her back."

"And you look like a midget compared to her, so shut up."

"Whatever."

After a long time, they managed to put Scarlett on Anastasia's back. Even if they had probably embarrassed themselves in front of everyone.
