Chapter 10

Cassandra's vision slowly became unblurred, and she looked around to take note of everything. It was very dark, and it smelt like blood and shit here, she thought. She tried to sit up, but then hissed in pain when she felt something burn near her ribs. Then she remembered she had been shot by a bullet, which was probably a silver one.

It was fucking up her nervous system, and she was slowly getting a headache. If it stayed in her body, she would slowly get a severe ache in her body.

She finally sat up and leaned against the nearest wall. It was really dark, but she saw someone beside her. But she knew it was Avery, judging by the smell.

Me: how do you know it's Avery beside you? *smirks

Cassandra: how did you even- shut up! There's nothing in between us! *blushes like crazy.

Me: Are you sure? *smirks

Cassandra: argh! I'm going to kill you!

Me: oh no. Bye, bitch! *yeet

"Okay, so we gotta remove these shackles. Wolfie, can you give me your strength for a while?"

"Sorry I can't! The silver billet is fucking with me! It's making me lose my mind and I'm slowly losing my strength because of it!"

"It's okay, Wolfie. But can you please lend me the rest of your strength? Even if it's 0.1% of your strength, then it's okay!"

"Fine! But I'll need a lot of time to get my strength back!"

"It's okay! Just give me your strength!"

She slowly stood up and a second later, she tried to snap the shackles from her wrist with her hands. She pulled it harder and harder. She felt sweat dripping off her forehead, but she kept pulling. The bullet was making it hard for her, but she didn't give up. She started to run in the opposite direction and soon enough; the shackles snapped from her wrist, making her fall down face first on the opposite wall.

"Cassandra, I'm tired now! Can I go to sleep now?"

"Yes Wolfie, good night,"

She lifted her shirt up to reveal a huge wound near her left rib, just near the intestines. She took a deep breath and put her fingers into the bullet shot. It was getting unbearable for her, and she removed her fingers, then wiped them on her shirt. She took it off and ripped the ends of it, bundled it up and stuffed it in her mouth to not let her cries out.

She then did the same again and her fingers went deeper, slowly reaching for the bullet. Something burned her fingers, and she took it out in panic. "It's okay, Cassandra. You have got worse injuries than this. You will be fine."

She then put her fingers in the bullet again and slowly touched the bullet. She hissed in pain when her fingers came in contact with it. Tears rolled down when she pulled it out slowly. When it was finally out, she threw it aside and took a deep breath in.

She looked down and saw a lot of blood leaking out of it. She ripped another piece of her shirt off and pressed it into the wound. She knew in a few minutes, the skin would start repairing itself.

She wiped the blood off her fingers and crawled to Avery. "Avery, wake up! We gotta go!" She slapped their cheeks a couple of times and they finally woke up. "Eh? What?"

"I said we have to go soon!"

"Where- ah!" they hissed in pain when they tried to sit up. Cassandra pushed them down. "It's okay, you're fine."

"What shot me?"

"Probably a silver bullet about an inch big. Well, it was that big for me of course."

"Can you please take it out? It hurts." they cried.

"Are you sure? It would hurt like a bitch."

"I don't care! Just remove it!"

"Okay, here goes nothing." She lifted their shirt up and found a huge bullet shot near the ribs. "It'll hurt so, have this." she ripped the ends of their shirt and stuffed it into their mouths.

"Just tell me when to stop, okay?"

They nodded, and Cassandra slowly put in her fingers in the bullet shot. After a horrendous ten minutes of Avery crying and muffling their screams, Cassandra finally took out the bullet. "You did well, you're okay."

Avery sat up and tightly hugged her. They slowly cried on Cassandra's shoulder while she tried to calm them down. "I thought I was going to die."

"It's okay, you're okay now."

Few minutes they stopped crying. "Are you okay now?"

"Hmm."

"So do you want me to snap those shackles of yours?"

"Actually, you don't need to, I can burn them."

"What?!"

"You know it's one of the demon powers," they said and stood up. "Stay away from me or you'll be burnt by accident." Cassandra stood far away from them and Avery thought of the shackles on fire.

Instantly blue fire came on the shackles, and they melted off Avery's wrists. Their wrists were fine, but the floor wasn't.

"Damn, I should've woken you up before. My strength wouldn't have been used."

Avery chuckled and then looked at the bars in front of them. They instantly were lit on blue fire, and Cassandra jumped. "Damn, at least tell me before lighting something on fire!"

"Alright now, do you want to go rescue your sister and her girlfriend?"

"Yup."

Both of them worked together in trying to find Anastasia and Scarlett. Cassandra would silently attack the guards from behind and then dragged them into a secluded place for Avery to burn those people.
