SURPRISE!
I know I said no Chapter this week….
Buttttttt…..
Well, clearly there is. It's a little delayed, but holy crap. This was a chapter that was just flowing out my noggin in waves.
It is short. About 8.5k words… However… I think it's one of my better ones. (Then again, I thought last weeks was good and it seemed to fall flat)
We go back to our regularly scheduled… schedule? Next week. Chapter will be out Monday!
But read dis one first.
Last announcement before we get rockin.
After a disappointing poll that left Mama Bear pouting in the corner… You all "overwhelmingly" (6-2) decided that Captain Genma is a HUFFPUFF! Yay!
OK ON WITH THE CHAPTER! LEGGO!
"Hold!" Honoka called out, forcing us all to stop for the eighth time. "There seems to be some type of concealment revealing seal in place. This would likely break any type of chakra based disguise, with a secondary effect of sending a warning if one was detected. It shouldn't affect us, but give me a few moments to disable this one."
I made my way over towards Fú who had been quiet this entire time. I placed my hand around her waist and pulled her in close.
"You doing okay? Anything I can do?" I asked her quietly.
She shook her head and gave me a quick smile. "No, Kenta. Thank you. I'll be better once I put Suien six feet under."
I nodded. "You'll get him. I cannot wait to watch you crush him."
Fú giggled, finally, and sent me another smile. This one was a real one. "Thank you, love. This is so surreal. I never imagined that my homecoming would turn out quite this way."
I kissed the top of her head and squeezed her once more before letting her go. "It's for the best. Once the Akatsuki threat has passed, we can focus on rebuilding Taki. Whichever way it ends, they'll be stronger for it. Whether it's as a sovereign state once more, or if they decide to remain attached to Fire Country."
Fú turned her attention back toward Honoka who was arguing with Naruto once more.
"Naruto Uzumaki! I was brought on this operation due to my expertise and versatility in all matters sealing! You're still an apprentice when compared to me. If you wanna go around and flash those fancy new eyes, be my guest! But whining and complaining and telling me you can simply drain the chakra from them makes it sound like you think I'm unneeded? Is that what you think? Do you think I'm useless? Hmm?!" Honoka asked on tip-toe, glaring right into Naruto's face.
Naruto began to babble furiously, shaking his head a mile a minute. Fú giggled.
"I'm glad Naruto seems to be just as hopeless as he's always been. Hey, Kenta? When this is done, and we get home, can we get married?" Fú asked in a small voice.
I beamed at her. "Of course we can, babe. I'll send Ketsu with a message to mom once Suien is dead. She'll get everything ready for a small ceremony with just the family. We can plan the bigger event later on."
Fú smiled brightly. "I would like that."
"Done!" Honoka barked out, still glaring at a sweating Naruto. Fú released my hand a moved back to the front of the group. We set off once more. For five more minutes we continued running through the cavernous labyrinth that hid Taki. We arrived at a dead end and Fú turned towards us.
"This is it. Once I open this door, Taki is on the other side. Everyone, please say aloud your objective." She said to the small group of elite rising stars.
"Team Seven is charged with destroying the barracks. The soldiers sleeping inside are on stand-by to defend in case of invasion. We will take to the sky with Sai's drawings and attack from above. We will then take out any that escape who do not surrender immediately." Sasuke relayed.
Fú nodded and turned towards Shino. "Team Eight will secure the hospital. Any Suien loyalists will be denied access and killed on sight. We will also prevent any attacks against medical personnel and the injured." Shino briefed with a salute.
"Team Nine will proceed to the market and civilian quarters. We will defend the civilian population while attempting to keep them from fleeing straight into the fights. We will direct them to the lake house that once belonged to Lady Fú where they will be guarded by Cpt Guy." Neji stated.
"Team Ten will attack the armory. We have the same objective as Team Seven. Kill any Suien supporters, order any anti-Suien personnel to the village entrance or to take up arms with us. Once we have the area secure, we will link up with Team Nine to help defend and coordinate the evacuation of civilians." Ino announced.
"Team Eleven will provide back up to Fú Uzumaki as she kills the usurper. We will eliminate any reinforcements or body guards that are stationed with him. Once Suien is dead, we will fire the flare that will signal the rest of the army to move in and finish the taking of Taki." I said.
"Asuma will stay here with Lady Honoka. He will guard her and either subdue or kill any enemy that attempts to leave the village. Those who do not want to take up arms against their comrades but do not support Suien will be directed to Lady Honoka for a chakra sealing seal. If they do not comply, they are to be executed on the spot. Guy will wait at the lake house and defend all of the civilians who evacuate to the area. Genma and I will be running interference, appearing wherever we're needed, and harassing any enemy that does not surrender." Kakashi said in a bored drawl.
Fú nodded. "Good. Does anyone have any questions?" She asked the group. When no one spoke up, she turned to face the wall, placing a palm to solid stone. She was silent for a few moments, but I saw her lips moving quickly. She opened her eyes. "Let's kill the usurper and reclaim my home. Today, Taki falls."
She pressed her finger into an indent that would be completely invisible if you didn't know exactly where to look. There was an audible 'click' and at once the stone wall began to quickly retract.
"It begins" Fú said, and made a beeline straight to the office where her only friend once sat.

"How shall we do this?" Sasuke asked his two teammates who were flying silently beside him.
Sakura thought for a moment before an impish grin crossed her face. "You bring the fire, I bring the hammer?"
Sasuke nodded, his eyes bleeding to red as his Sharingan activated.
"I don't know what you two have planned, but is there anything I can do to assist you?" Sai asked.
"I am going to use a large area of effect fire technique to cause panic inside the barracks. Sakura is then going to drop below, using her chakra enhanced strength to cause large structural damage. Knowing this, is there anything you can contribute to our attack?" Sasuke asked Sai.
Sai nodded. "In that case I will use a wind technique to enhance your flames. Is that acceptable?"
Sasuke glanced at Sakura who smiled and nodded encouragingly. "That will work."
"I didn't know that your affinity was wind, Sai. That's incredibly rare." Sakura said.
"It actually isn't. My natural affinity is water. There was no one in Root who was a natural wind user. Danzo wanted a protégé. He selected me, saying I had the most potential." Sai explained.
"How did you not get killed the day of the preliminaries? Did you fake that injury to get away from the venue like Danzo did?" Sasuke asked the boy.
Sai shook his head. "Actually, I wasn't informed at all. Danzo was willing to let me die so as to not tip anyone off. I had only been with the two of you for less than two months, but seeing your interactions, seeing how you interacted with Cpt Kakashi. Day to day life in Konoha. All of it made me start to question what I was taught and what I believed. When those terrible voices entered my mind, they seemed to judge that my wavering loyalty to Danzo was strong enough to be spared."
Sakura smiled warmly. "I'm glad that you didn't die."
Sai smiled back. "I am as well. After years of therapy and making real bonds with my ANBU teammates, I honestly believe that I will be able to live a normal life."
"We can talk feelings later. The barracks are in sight. My attack is the signal to begin. Are you both ready?" Sasuke asked, interrupting his teammates.
Sakura closed her mouth and scowled but nodded all the same; Sai quickly following suit.
"Then on me." Sasuke ordered, fingers beginning to move rapidly, Sai just a split-second behind. Sasuke ended his string on the Tiger Seal, Sai finishing on the Ox Seal.
"Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation!"
"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough!"
Both boys inhaled deeply, exhaling in tandem. Hurricane force winds slammed into the sea of flames, fanning them hotter and larger than anything anyone had ever seen. The apocalyptic flames slammed into the barracks, igniting the building and all the land around it. Screams of terror and pain soon filled the air.
The boys glanced at Sakura who was staring wide-eyed at the collaboration technique.
"Well, the hammer may be overkill at this point. However, I'm not going to let you boys have all the fun!" Sakura chirped, her hands coming together in the Ram Seal.
"Water Release: Aqueous Cloak." Sakura said aloud. The early morning moisture coalesced and formed a thin layer over her entire body. Sasuke's eyes widened as he watched an incredible amount of Chakra begin to quickly gather in Sakura's right foot. Her curse seal was spreading across her skin, reminiscent of the petals of the flowers she was named after.
With a saucy wink and a blown kiss, Sakura gracefully back flipped off the ink construct. Her signature battle cry piercing the night was rapidly fading as she plummeted toward the ground. Seconds later, the resounding boom was heard throughout the village, the impact completely destroying the rest of the building, the crater an impressive ten feet deep.
"Most impressive. I am particularly grateful to Lord Yamanaka who taught me social etiquette. I feel like if I had continued to refer to Sakura as 'Ugly,' I may not have lived to see this day." Sai said in a hushed voice.
Sasuke found himself nodding along absentmindedly before he shook himself out of his daze. "Let's get down there. We have to eliminate any survivors that are loyal to Suien."
With a sharp nod, Sai directed his birds to dive sharply. Even in the seriousness of the situation, Sai found himself smiling softly. Maybe, just maybe, he could become as close to Sakura and Sasuke as he had seen the other teams of his age. Maybe, just maybe, Sai could have his own family.

"Akimichi Clan Technique: Super Multi-Size!" Choji's voice boomed throughout the village. He raised a single foot, it's sizing easily dwarfing the building his team was targeting and brought it down with zero remorse. Choji grimaced as his foot made contact, easily destroying the entire structure, knowing that at least a few people would be passing into the pure lands.
Two shinobi quickly appeared, their eyes widening on seeing the mammoth sized teen. Ino used their distraction and quickly 'body-flickered' directly behind the two. She placed a palm on each head, closing her eyes. Moments later she sighed, and a flash of steel found its mark in the two men's neck. She casually flicked the blood from her cheek and made her way over to her quickly shrinking boyfriend.
"Completely loyal to the traitor." Ino said with another sigh.
Choji nodded in understanding. "It can't be helped. Lord Fifth wants every supporter of Suien's killed. With them eliminated, our occupying forces will see a lot less resistance once we annex them."
Ino smiled up at Choji. "Thank you for trying to comfort me. I was more annoyed about the blood on my shirt. It will never come out. Traitors deserve nothing less than death as far as I'm concerned. Plus, they hated Fú. Fú is my little pumpkin. I will kill anyone that is mean to her."
Choji chuckled and glanced over his shoulder as a gurgled scream of pain sounded right behind him. Shikamaru sighed, releasing the shadow that had just pierced the man's heart.
"Stop being all domestic right now. It's troublesome. I won't always be around to save your hides." Shikamaru said with a smirk.
Ino scoffed and tossed her ponytail over her shoulder. "I knew he was there ages ago, Shika. Your shadow sewing is faster than ever though. Have you been training, Shika?"
Shikamaru glared at Ino. "You think having Lady Tsunade as my master would get me out of clan training? Nope. Dad picked it up once I started working at the hospital and no longer training daily with that slave driver. I had a plan. Become a Chunin. Marry an average girl. Have two kids. Retire. How did things turn out this way?" He finished his lamenting with a dramatic sigh.
Ino let out a bark of laughter as Choji chuckled at his best friend's dramatics.
"Head's up. Twenty approaching rapidly. Shall we do that?" Ino asked, glancing at her boys.
Shikamaru sighed but still crouched down, hands in the traditional Rat Sign. Choji gave Ino a quick peck on the cheek before he held a sign unique to his clan.
"Alright, boys. Don't let me down!" Ino called out, placing a hand on Shikamaru's head, closing her eyes. "Targets locked. In range in five."
"Shadow Clutch Technique."
"Multi-Size Technique: Human Bullet Tank!"
Shikamaru's shadow lashed out, seizing Choji's shadow tightly.
"Let's do this!" Ino cheered.
"Ino-Shika-Cho Formation E: Human Bullet Yo-Yo!" The three all called out at once.
Choji began to spin, Shikamaru's shadow danced, and Ino transmitted the locations that the twenty flames burning in her mind's eye would be.
Before any of the enemy shinobi could react, the sounds of pained screams and snapping bones quickly filled the air.
That day, the world was once again reminded about the devastating combination techniques that had been honed and sharpened over a millennia of friendship.
The Ino-Shika-Cho Legacy continued.
************************Fav Technique Used in the War************************************
Naruto flicked a kunai forward at incredible speeds. The masked operative hastily knocked the projectile upward, muscles tightening as he prepared to rush Naruto. With a flash of yellow, Naruto appeared above the man, catching the spinning blade he had just thrown. Naruto held out his hand directly towards his opponent.
"Almighty Push," Naruto said in a flat voice. From that distance, the force of Naruto's attack crashed into the man, sending him sprawling to the ground with a grunt of pain. The grunt quickly turned into a scream as the sound of bones snapping quickly filled the clearing. Naruto casually leaned back, the flash of steel passing right by his head from his blind spot. The ability to share sight through his clones was so overwhelming and jarring that Naruto couldn't conjure more than two at a time. However, it was definitely something that had already come in handy.
Naruto's hand lashed out, closing around his attacker's throat. With a grimace, Naruto rammed the orb of violently spinning chakra directly into his opponent's chest. Bile rose in his throat that he quickly swallowed. It had to be done. He tossed the corpse aside and turned, nearly laughing after catching the sight of his teammates face.
Ami was grinning from ear to ear, cackling like a manwoman. She twisted and dodged in such an inhuman way that her opponents weren't sure she even was human. The gifts and techniques she received for passing the Snake Clan Trials were in full effect today.
Ami's arm lashed out and extended, quickly encircling the throat of an enemy. With a sinister smile, Ami yanked her arm back, fingers latched tightly around the woman's jaw. With a sickening crack, the masked enemy's head twisted one-hundred and eighty degrees before crumpling to the floor, lifeless. Ami jumped back, the compressed sphere of water narrowly missing her. Ami's hands flashed quickly before she disappeared, reappearing mere feet in front of the man who had just sent the orb at her.
'Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction,' Ami thought with glee. She bathed her opponent in a torrent of flame, holding the technique until her victim collapsed. Ami licked her dry lips and frowned. She reached into her pouch, pulling out a small container. She dabbed her finger into the gel-like substance and rubbed it into her parched lips. She caught Naruto staring at her slack jawed. She sent him a mischievous smile.
"What's wrong, Naruto-Dear? Never seen a lady apply lip balm before? Those fire techniques really dry the mouth out." Ami said casually.
Naruto closed his mouth and blinked rapidly before shaking his head. "No, not that. That technique. Where did you learn that? Isn't that an Uchiha Clan technique?"
Ami giggled. "Yes, yes it is. Remind me to thank Sasuke for 'teaching' it to me once all this is over."
I laughed at my teammates antics before yawning obnoxiously after dodging yet another sloppily executed slash from one of my three opponents. I flickered away, disappearing from their view. I waited three seconds, enjoying the slight rise in panic they were experiencing. I flickered again, reappearing behind one of my victims, vanishing once he retaliated with a vertical slash after feeling the prick of my needle on his neck. I giggled like a child, my hand flashing. A yelp of surprised pain followed as another victim quickly withdrew the needle that had appeared in their tricep.
The three opponents regrouped, slowly moving in on me. I laughed hysterically as one of the men coughed, quickly removing his mask as a river of blood fell from his lips. Seconds later, his comrade was in an identical position. The men fell to the ground, seizing as blood began to leak from their eyes and mouth.
"Do you like? It's one of my favorite creations. It targets the nervous system while also introducing a very powerful anti-coagulant. The seizures forcefully push the toxin throughout the entire body, death is usually within one minute without immediately receiving the antidote. The coughing of blood is due to the toxin causing the lungs to spasm so hard, the alveoli begin to burst almost immediately. Does this sound like a good way to die? It's incredibly painful, but it's pretty quick!" I called out happily to my last victim.
The victim didn't answer. Instead, he bellowed like an angry bull and charged me head on. I sighed and shook my head, completely unimpressed. I pointed a single finger forward where a beam of light quickly gathered.
"Bang." I said, bored as all get out.
The man fell flat on his face, the hole in his head still smoking. I turned towards my teammates who were quickly regrouping with me.
"So. That was boring. So much for an elite guard, eh, Miss Suien?" I yelled out to the man that was across the clearing from us.
Suien growled. "How did you find this place? What does Konoha want?"
"What we want is you dead. You collaborated with one of our biggest traitors to renege on the deal that Shibuki made. You killed him, and the council, and took the seat for yourself. Konoha not only despises traitors, but we despise usurpers who then go behind our backs to betray us. As for how we found this place…" I trailed off and took a step to the side. Fú gently ran her fingers across my arm as she passed, her smile turning into an absolutely terrifying mask of pure loathing once she looked directly at Suien.
"You!" Suien hissed. "You traitorous bitch!"
Fú let out a high pitched laughter of pure derision. "That's rich, coming from the missing ninja who came back to take the seat that was never meant to be his."
"I'm going to enjoy killing you. Once I do, I'll make sure that the demon is sealed inside the correct person this time. Not some frivolous slut with zero talent." Suien snarled. A growl ripped itself from my own throat and I took a step forward. Fú held up her hand, giving me a look. I growled once more, baring my teeth like an angered wolf before stepping back.
"You are too late. Chomei was extracted from me by the leader of the Akatsuki. She is now sealed away inside a demonic statue." Fú told the man, the waves of sadness cleared my anger instantly. I wanted to comfort her, but I knew that now wasn't the time.
"So, Konoha couldn't even hold up their end of the bargain to begin with. Typical. They're all talk. Once I deal with you, I will be writing to the Raikage to finalize our alliance." Suien sneered at us and spat on the ground.
Fú chuckled darkly. The waves of sadness quickly turning into waves of pure hatred. She glared at Suien. "You won't even survive the hour, let alone long enough to communicate with the Raikage. But thank you for the information, Konoha thanks you."
Suien threw off his robe, revealing the plated armor beneath similar to what the sad equivalent of ANBU wore. "I don't know how you survived having the demon extracted from you. It doesn't matter. I will end you here, today, demon whore!"
"You took the only person who ever cared about me in this village away from me. You brought ruination down upon the village I was born in, a village that even if the happy memories were few, I still loved. A village that you will personally destroy if you aren't stopped. I will save Taki. I will kill you." Fú announced, tears of anger and sadness slowly falling down her beautiful face.
Fú held her arm out perpendicular to the ground. Water swiftly gathered, forming her water lance. Suien held out his own arm, a sword of water forming from the collected moisture. The two combatants stared one another down, neither breaking eye contact even to blink.
"DIE!" Suien screamed and charged. Fú rocketed forward fast enough to crack the earth beneath her feet. With a resounding boom, the two water constructed weapons clashed, sending a shockwave of pure force outward from the epicenter.
The two began a deadly dancing. Dodging and weaving, thrusting and slashing. After a furious exchange of blows the two disengaged, sizing the other up. Neither escaped the exchange unharmed. Fú had various cuts along her arms and torso. Suien was nursing a nice sized wound where Fú's lance had dug several inches into his shoulder before he was able to pull back.
Fú's hand began to glow a bright green and she quickly ran her hands over some of the larger cuts. In mere seconds, unmarred skin tantalized the bleeding form of her foe. Suien growled and dispelled his sword. His hands began to move swiftly, only to be halted completely. He glanced down and frowned, noticing his hands were bound with pure white threads.
"How is she still able to use those threads?" Ami whispered to me.
"She lost a few of the abilities Chomei gave her. The biggest loss was the mobility she gained when she could summon her wings. However, a few of her abilities remained. It seems that Chomei had been sealed inside her for so long that it began to actually mutate and rewrite some of her genetic code. I don't know the details, that's Sakura's area of expertise. But, the ability to conjure those threads is still all Fú, though, they're not as strong as they once were." I explained just as quietly.
Fú smirked and launched herself forward. She buried her fist deep into Suien's gut. She followed that monstrous hit up with a crushing kick directly to the man's jaw. I laughed as Suien was launched sideways, stopping only when he crashed into a large tree.
Fú didn't stop there. She blitzed toward the downed man and began to rain a flurry of heavy hits all across his body. Her final hit was a rising straight kick directly to his jaw that sent him skyward before crashing back to the ground.
Fú took a deep breath, still not totally used to her reduced stamina. She sneered at the downed man. "You're pathetic. You name yourself leader, yet you're not even half the man Shibuki was. Goodbye, traitor. May you rot in hell." Fú lunged forward, her lance of water quickly forming and aimed right at Suien's heart.
Suien's face reddened, and a bellow of rage reverberated deep within his chest. His hands moved down to the pouch at his hip and a flash of something caught the early morning sunlight starting to peak over the canyon wall. Suien brought the item to his lips, quickly discarding whatever it was.
My eyes focused on the discarded item, a glass vial bounced one time before settling down in the grassy field.
That was when my eyes snapped straight to Suien, alarm bells banging loudly in my mind. The building bellow of rage finally tore from the man's mouth. He easily ripped the threads that were confining his hands, and moving much quicker than he had previously, closed the gap between himself and Fú. I tried to cry out in warning, but I was much too late. Suien's fist connected solidly on Fú's cheek. It was Fú's turn to be sent rocketing back. I stared in wide-eyed horror as the man's chakra was skyrocketing, and growing by the second.
Naruto cried out in alarm, raising his fist. I quickly grabbed his arm, forcing it down.
"What the hell, Kenta?! Fú needs our help!" Naruto shouted, attempting to throw me off.
I shook my head, glancing over to where Fú had impacted. The boulder she had crashed into had shattered, kicking up a large dust cloud. However, I felt her chakra, and it wasn't distressed at all.
"Naruto, you know how much I love Fú. I would never let her die." I said evenly.
"I know! That's why we gotta help her, ya know!" Naruto's voice never lowering.
I shook my head. "If we jump in now that second she's in trouble, she'll never forgive us. This is her fight, Naruto. It's personal. I promise you. If it starts to get hairy all three of us will take the bastard down. But for now, trust my fiancé. I have a feeling we're about to see something amazing."
Naruto opened his mouth but closed it as Ami placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "Kenta is right, Naruto. Trust Fú. We'll bail her out if we need to. Jumping in now would be like us screaming that she's weak and to stay in the hospital where she belongs. You don't think Fú is weak, do you?"
"What?! Hell no! Fú is one of, if not thee strongest kunoichi in our village! No offense, Ami!" Naruto squeaked out at the end as Ami had shot him a warning look.
Ami giggled and pat Naruto's back. "No offense taken. Yes, Fú is most likely stronger than me. Barely. It would be a good fight. Saying that, let's see how this plays out. Don't forget, she is a medic. A damn good one at that. She's probably already healed whatever damage she just took."
Naruto nodded slowly, the tension lessening in his arm. "Alright. But don't try to stop me if it starts to go downhill. Fú is an Uzumaki. I am the Uzumaki Clan Head. I will protect my clan, even if they will hate and despise me for it. I won't lose an Uzumaki if I can help it."
I let go of Naruto's arm with a smile. "I won't stop you. You'll have to beat me to him if that's the case. Now, I feel something happening."
We turned our full attention on the slowly dissipating dust cloud. A silhouette could now be seen, standing slightly bent over, but standing none the less. A strong gust of wind whipped across the clearing, vanishing the remaining dust. Fú stood hunched over, a green hand held over her abdomen. She raised her chin, staring Suien straight in the eye.
"You know that you will most likely die now, right?" Fú asked in a low voice laced with pain. "Even if you survive drinking The Hero Water, you have taken at least ten years off your life."
"Pah! I won't die. I am strong enough to survive its effects! I am strong! I am the leader that Taki needs! That Shibuki drank The Hero Water when we fought. I killed him all the same, not even needing it myself. He was always a frail and weak boy. Unfit to be a leader!"
Fú grunted lowly and pushed herself to straighten out her back. She held her head high, staring defiantly in Suien's face.
"It is time. It's finally done. Allow me to show you what true strength is, Suien. Allow me to show you how strong I became when I had people who actually cared about me. Lady Shizune taught me everything she knew. I have a family and friends who constantly push me to be greater than I was yesterday. I will show you what four years of constant training, day and night, sleep and awake looks like. Prepare to leave this world, Suien." Fú announced boldly and confidently.
Suien rolled with laughter. "You must have forgotten to heal that head injury you received, girl! I have drank The Hero Water! My power is ten-fold! You cannot defeat me! No one in the world could defeat me!" Suien continued to cackle.
Fú simply stared back with a serene smile on her face. She popped one of my family's pills into her mouth and began to chew. She closed her eyes, the smile never leaving her face.
"No. Fucking. Way!" Ami breathed out in awe.
I could feel the smile on my face widen by the second. The pride I felt in my chest was near to bursting.
"Rule number one of the medic code. No medic ninja shall ever stop medical treatment until the lives of their party members have come to an end."
Fú's chakra began to climb rapidly. The section that had been reserved finally able to restore itself.
"Two. No Medical ninja shall ever stand on the front lines."
Higher and higher her chakra climbed. After losing Chomei, Fú had been left with reserves that only those who have held the title of Kage could ever hope for. Now, she was approaching the level that even Kage would drool over. Her nearly two decades as a Jinchuriki combined with her Uzumaki genes truly made her someone to envy.
"Three. No medic ninja shall ever die until they are the last of their platoon."
Her chakra finally came to a halt. I could feel the confidence and joy radiating from Fú in waves. She opened her eyes, the newly formed diamond on her forehead proudly displayed as she held her head high.
"Four. Only those medic ninja who have mastered the 'Strength of a Hundred' Technique of the ninja art of 'Creation Rebirth' are permitted to discard the above-mentioned laws." Fú stated in a loud and confident voice.
My cheeks were absolutely aching by how wide my smile was, the stance that Fú took next though had my jaw scraping the ground. It was a stance I had seen a good friend take many times over the years as we worked together to master his power.
Her legs spread to a wide and powerful stance. She crossed her arms in front of her, palms out, fingers curled.
"Lady Shizune taught me everything she knew about medical techniques and medicine. However, Lady Shizune is not a frontline fighter. I had to find someone willing to train me that was. As a Jinchuriki, I was excluded from Lady Tsunade's rule. With a terrorist organization after me, I had to be able to defend myself. I found someone willing to put in the time and effort to get the results I needed." Fú said aloud.
I felt the spike.
"Gate of Opening: Open!"
Another spike.
"Gate of Healing: Open!"
Another.
"Gate of Life: Open!"
Again.
"Gate of Pain: Open!"
Again.
Gate of Limit: Open!"
Again!
"Gate of View: Open!"
A shockwave of pure power erupted from Fú. Her chakra levels were nearing when she still had Chomei sealed inside! Her face was beat red, sweat was rolling down her face in torrent.
"Gate of Wonder: Open!" Fú screamed out, a blue aura enveloping her as soon as the gate opened.
She wasn't done. The newly formed seal on her head glowed brightly, thick bars of inky black scrolls began to weave themselves down Fú's face, disappearing underneath her shirt. The lines snaked their way along her arms, the seal appearing down her legs.
"Ninja Art: Creation Rebirth!" Fú screamed out. Waves of displaced air whipped around, ruffling the grass, causing the trees to creak.
"Suien. You defiled my home. Killed my friend. Led our people down a path of destruction. Today, that ends." Fú yelled across the clearing. Suien stared at the tiny mint haired girl as if she were the Shinigami himself.
In a way, she was.
Fú simply vanished. No indication of movement whatsoever. One minute she was there, the next, gone. Even my heightened senses couldn't pick up where she had disappeared to.
My smile returned in full force as I started to feel the anxiety and restlessness pick up rapidly from Suien. My beautiful girl had picked up a thing or two from me after all.
With zero warning nor explanation, Suien was suddenly launched straight into the air. Fú appeared directly below him. She held a palm in front of her face, tapping it with her other fist.
I gasped as suddenly the air pressure in the immediate vicinity plummeted.
Fú made an incredibly complex and unique hand sign, it almost resembled…
"Goodbye, Traitor and Usurper. You will not be missed. Cpt Guy! Please see how my youth EXPLODES ON THIS GLORIOUS DAY!" Fú screamed to the heavens. I nearly fell over in outraged shock, that is, until Fú's fist shot forward.
"Afternoon Tiger!" Fú yelled. I gasped as the air pressure around us plummeted once more, and a tiger made of absolutely nothing rushed towards the airborne traitor. When I say nothing, I mean I felt nothing. No chakra, nothing. Just a rush of wind and a jarring experience as the air pressure evened out, causing my ears to pop.
The Tiger rocketed forward. The last sight Suien ever saw was the large beast of prey closing its jaw around him. The Tiger continued to head straight up into the air. Higher and higher it climbed. Just as I thought the technique would fizzle out, causing Suien to simply fall to his death, my eyes bulged once more. I was honestly surprised that they hadn't just fallen out at this point.
The tiger exploded in a miniature supernova. I had all of three seconds to admire its beauty before the sound and wind slammed into us. I braced myself as I was buffeted by a windstorm stronger than any natural storm I had ever witnessed. As soon as it appeared, it was gone.
And so was Suien.
Fú's seal retracted back to the single diamond on her forehead. Her chakra levels plummeted as her skin returned to its natural shade from the red tinge it had adopted earlier. She fell to the ground as her legs simply seemed to give out on her. I rushed over to her side, checking her up and down to see any visible injuries.
"Babe. Are you alright?" I asked her urgently, still attempting to find something that I could fix or help.
She laughed tiredly, sending me a heavy lidded smile. "I'm fine, Kenta. The Creation Rebirth repaired the damage to my body as soon as it occurred. I'm just completely exhausted. I'll be back to normal after some rest." She explained tiredly.
I breathed out a sigh of relief, gingerly hugging her and pulling her in close.
"That was amazing. I had no idea your trainings with Guy were leading to this. I thought you said he was just helping you with your hand to hand." I said in a quiet voice.
Her smile never faltered. "I wanted to surprise you. Did I get him?"
I nodded. "Pretty sure you vaporized him, babe. What was that technique anyway? I didn't feel any chakra."
"There was none." She simply said.
"Then how?"
"Punch the air so hard, created a concentrated cone of extreme air pressure. Air pressure. That's all it was." Fú said, eyes fluttering.
"You're amazing." I said in a breathless voice.
Fú's smile widened as her eyelids fell even further. "Shoot the flair. Let's finish this."
I nodded, withdrawing the flare from my pouch. With a single flick of the wrist, the flare was launched high into the air. I put the empty canister back into my pouch before leaning down and scooping Fú up bridal style. She instantly snuggled deep into my chest, seconds later her soft snores reached my ears. I walked up to Naruto and Ami, smile in place.
"Let's go to the entrance and leave her with Honoka. Then we can see if anyone needs help." I said quietly.
My teammates nodded and we began to slowly make the trek back to the village entrance.
My senses screamed at me, I didn't have time to utter a warning. I kicked Naruto as hard as I could, sending him flying before quickly grabbing Ami by the scruff of the neck, flickering away just in time. Where we were standing mere moments before, a high compressed drilling ball of water slammed into the ground.
"My, my. Decent reflexes, but your sensing needs some work. You should have detected that attack with enough time to warn your comrades, not punt one across the clearing." A melodic feminine voice tinkled across the clearing. My eyes immediately focused in on the large chakra signature I had felt earlier and my breath caught.
It was her.
Queen was here.

"Was Guy really pushed so hard he had to open the seventh gate? That came from the opposite direction though from where he was stationed. What's going on?" Kakashi asked his companion.
Genma shrugged. "We'll find out in a second, we're almost to the lake house."
The two men arrived moments later, hundreds of men, women, and children were huddled in small groups together. Large eyes full of anxiety and fear zeroed in on the new comers. A familiar face instantly appeared, a flash of perfect teeth had Kakashi and Genma hissing in displeasure.
"My friends! It is a pleasure to see you again so soon! Is there something that requires my assistance?! What fiend needs defeating?! I am invigorated by the recent display of YOUTH!" Guy yelled excitedly.
"That wasn't you that used 'Afternoon Tiger?' Kakashi asked flabbergasted.
Guy chuckled lowly. "It was not I. My guess? Lady Fú was the one to use such a dangerous technique to end the life of the one who brought her sorrow. If the rumors of The Hero Water are to be believed, she would have needed to increase her own powers to combat such a dangerous substance. The flair was fired not long after the tiger exploded."
Kakashi nodded thoughtfully. "If that's the case, we should go check on her and your team, Genma. Who knows what kind of shape they're in. Guy is correct, the Hero Water increases the user's power by tenfold."
Genma yawned and waved Kakashi's suggestion away. "They're fine. Little bastards are probably sneaking off somewhere to go party or something. Let's go help Team Nine evacuate more citizens. The main force is flooding into the city, they need some guidance and orders."
Kakashi nodded hesitantly. A knot of worry and fear was sitting heavy in his stomach. Something bad was going to happen. Kakashi only hoped that his kids and their generation could handle it.

"Who are you? Show your face, coward," I snarled. I had thrust Fú into Ami's arms and told her to get her to safety. Ami, the true professional she is, instantly obeyed and was halfway to the village entrance by now. Naruto and I stood across the clearing from the newest threat.
Queen's melodic laughter rang around the clearing. "Surely you can figure it out, can't you, sweetie? Rumor has it you're smart."
"What do you want? If you're here for Naruto, forget it." I said, stepping slightly in front of my brother.
"Him? Oh, darling, please. He's not my mark. He's safe from me. For now." Queen said in a cheerful voice.
"Then why are you here?" I asked again.
"Oi! And what the hell is up with you Akatsuki bastards hopping in after an invasion. Too weak to take us on at full power?" Naruto shouted angrily back.
"I'm here to test you, Kenta. I told you I would. My son needs a new plaything. All his old ones are dead." Queen replied, completely ignoring Naruto.
"Not interested." I said, cutting off Naruto's angry rebuttal.
"I'm not asking," A voice whispered in my ear. I flickered away, throwing my arms up in a hasty cross guard as a foot slammed against my arms harder than I had imagined. I shook off the feeling of numbness, glaring at the masked renegade of my clan.
"Fine, you want to fight, let's go." I said, vanishing. I reappeared behind the woman, kunai lashing forward toward the base of her skull. She tilted her head, the kunai sailing by with barely a hairs width of space. Queen's arm came soaring backward, attempting to backhand me. I flickered away to safety, eying my opponent warily.
"You'll have to do better than that, boy. You claim the title of strongest Yamanaka, but that is a lie. You're not even the second strongest." Queen taunted. I growled and launched myself forward, raining a flurry of punches and kicks toward the lithe woman. Faster and faster I began to move, flickering around the battlefield, afterimages surrounded the woman.
And yet, not a single blow landed. She dodged or blocked every strike thrown her way with embarrassing ease; many of them coming from her largest blind spots. I growled in frustration and fell back, my fingers dancing rapidly.
"Storm Release: Heat Seeking Light Blitz," I muttered aloud. The energy quickly gathered and launched forward, homing in on my target. I smirked in victory as with each dodge, the orb sharply turned and continued its pursuit. Queen vanished, reappearing across the clearing. My technique zeroed in on her and streaked forward. Mere centimeters from impact, she vanished, and my technique crashed into the tree she had strategically placed herself in front of. I growled in annoyance, fingers twitching in preparation for another technique.
"A pity. I was hoping that there was at least some bite to go along with all that bark. It seems I was mistaken. I grow bored. Goodbye, weakling." Queen said, a distinctive pout in her voice.
I didn't even have time to reply before I felt the foreign chakra sharply invade my senses. I pulsed my chakra just as an overwhelming sense of vertigo began to take hold. As soon as I dispelled the illusion, a perfectly manicured fist made contact with my face. The sound of snapping cartilage filled my ears as my head snapped backward. I quickly flickered away, hastily wiping the fountain of blood oozing from my nose away and blinking rapidly to clear my vision.
A second sense of intense vertigo slammed into me, a deafening high pitched whine accompanying it this time. I immediately dispelled this second mental attack, only to be greeted by a hard knee to my solar plexus. I coughed violently, falling to my knees. I attempted to stand and to get my breathing under control. Each breath coming as a pained gasp. I felt a set of nails dig into my scalp and my head was forcefully yanked backward. Cold steel pressed dangerously against my carotid artery.
"Weak. Pathetic. All talk. You disgust me. Vanish from this world." Queen hissed in anger. I could feel the disgust and revulsion rolling off her in waves. My mind began to work in double-time, trying to come up with anything that would get me out of this. I felt the pressure increase, a trail of blood began to leak down my neck.
"Wait!" A second unfamiliar voice called out.
The pressure lessened but didn't disappear. I tried to turn my head to see who had spoken, but the hand that was like iron only tightened around my beautiful tresses.
"Let him go, crazy lady." Naruto suddenly called out. He held his hand forward, Rinnegan eyes burning in righteous fury.
Queen laughed derisively. "Little boy. If I so much as feel my blouse ruffle, I will drive this kunai in hilt deep."
Naruto stuttered, holding his hand for a few more seconds before he slowly lowered it. His eyes watched the woman like a hawk and I knew he was trying to come up with a plan.
Queen turned her attention away from Naruto. "Darling. Is there a reason you stopped me from killing the phony?"
"Yes, Mother. There is still time. He has potential. Let him go. I think when the time comes he'll be able to challenge us." The deep baritone voice said evenly.
Queen hummed in thought before a wave of happiness rolled off her. "You're right, love. I seem to have lost myself for a moment. I see the Konoha headband and I simply see red. He will live, today." She finished her statement by forcefully tossing me forward. I caught myself before my face slammed into the dirt and I scurried up to my feet. I felt strong hands steady me and the scent of ramen invaded my nose.
"You okay?" Naruto whispered urgently.
"I've been better." I mumbled out. My eyes quickly caught up to the second chakra source I was sensing and I felt my breath catch in my throat.
Teal eyes made direct eye contact with mine. Now, teal eyes are a common color in my clan. However, this shade of teal was very particular and found only in a single family in our clan. The main family line.
My line.
Everything clicked all at once and I felt the color drain from my face. I stared at Queen in a mixture of hope and horror. It couldn't be. It was…
"Impossible." I breathed out.
"I don't think I hit you hard enough to give you brain damage. Stop speaking nonsense, boy." Queen snapped.
"You're dead." I said just as breathlessly.
Queen made a dramatic showing of patting herself down from head to toe. She finished by holding two fingers to her wrist.
"I regret to inform you that I am indeed still among the living. The pulse in my wrist proves this." Queen sarcastically called out.
"Mom said… Iwa ambush. Lost you, entire team killed." I mumbled out, my brain refusing to reboot.
"Ahh. So there is a tiny little brain in that overly large head of yours. Well done, Kenta. You figured it out." Queen said with a sneer.
"But. Why?! Why are you doing this?! You've been alive this entire time! Dad lost his mind when he thought you died! He gave up his position as heir! He voluntarily struck his name from the main line! If you were alive, why didn't you come home?! Dad named my sister after you! She looks just like you! Why, Auntie? Why?!" I screamed out, the bottled frustration finally pouring out like a dam.
A cold and cruel laughter was my only reply. Queen reached towards her face, unclipping the ivory mask. She pulled the mask away and my heart seemed to skip a beat.
A carbon copy of Kono.
"You ask me why? Why?! I'll tell you why! My team wasn't ambushed by Iwa! We were ambushed by Root! My father attempted to assassinate me because I saw something that would have brought great shame upon our clan had I told the Hokage! I was thrown to the wolves by the man who was supposed to love me and protect me!" Konoko screeched out. Her teal eyes had gone wild while her rage grew. She caught herself and took a deep breath. "I will tell you the full story one day, nephew."
"I don't understand…" I said weakly.
"You will. In due time. Now, it is time for us to be off. When next we meet I will not spare you. I hope you use this time to train." Konoko said in a flat voice.
I felt my panic rise. I had to do something. "Please, Aunt Konoko! It doesn't have to be like this!"
She turned her head, glancing at me through one eye over her shoulder. She sent a chilling glare my way. "What's that saying? Rub salt in the wound? Yes, that is it. Let me tell you something, Nephew. I am not really here. You fought and lost horribly to my shadow clone. Yes. A mere clone. Only half my power. You had better train harder. That S-Rank you lord about is a hollow title. You are a baby compared to me."
I stared at her in shock. My mouth refused to work. It wasn't possible. It wasn't!
"Ta-Ta for now!" She cheerfully waved before erupting into a cloud of smoke. My eyes drifted toward the young man who hadn't moved since his arrival. He was tall and lean, a build similar to myself and all men in the Yamanaka Clan. His face was much more rugged though, and he had hair the color of old iron. It was a smoky grey in color.
"Cousin?" I asked weakly.
He nodded. "My name is Hisoka. I must be going as well. Please, Kenta. Train hard. You will not defeat mother as you are now. Nor myself."
I nodded dumbly, brain trying to form a coherent thought. "Why is she-"
"She will tell you when you next see her. It isn't my place to say." He interrupted in a dry, clinical voice.
I simply nodded, taking in every detail I could.
For the unknown number of times today, my eyes widened and my breath caught in my chest.
Where once teal eyes identical to my own stared at me, crimson orbs with three tomoe peered at me across the field. I watched as the tomoe lazily spun in his eye, gradually picking up speed. I felt the foreign chakra invade my senses, but something was telling me not to fight it, so I didn't. Faster and faster his Sharingan spun. My head became heavy, my senses dulled. A ghostly whisper seemed to echo all around me and inside my mind simultaneously.
I blinked as the fog in my mind instantly cleared. Hisoka was gone, a cloud of smoke quickly dissipating in the late morning breeze, the only proof that he had actually been here.
The words continued to replay in my mind. Over and over again. I frowned. Something wasn't right. Something was going on. Something I had no idea how to deal with. I didn't like being in the dark. I didn't like being made to look like a fool.
I would train. Harder than ever before. I didn't take her first warning seriously enough and it nearly cost me my life.
Never again.
I glanced once more at the spot Hisoka disappeared from, his ghostly voice still replaying in my mind.
The same two words.
Over and over again.
'Help me'
Fin!
Well that was intense!
I know the chapter is short, and I'm sorry if everyone was hoping for another 3 chapter arc like with the invasion, but it was never meant to be a full scale battle/siege.
It was a slaughter.
Taki is a minor village with zero notable Shinobi. Kakuzu was their most powerful/notorious ninja and he's already been smoked.
I never saw Taki as powerful. The two Jonin that escorted Fú during the anime got freaking 1-shot by Kakuzu.
I wanted to portray that with this chapter. Konoha is the undisputed top dog once again. A group of 20 elites was able to seize an entire minor village in just a few short hours. It also helped that only about half of Taki's forces, which is already maybe 1/5th of what Konoha has, didn't even participate because they held no loyalty to Suien.
Let me know what you all thought! Did you like Fú's battle? What about Sai? Ain't he adorable?
Final note – I made this announcement on my other fic, but I feel like it should be said here as well. If you have any inquiries/questions… Make a permanent account! It takes like 60 seconds. I won't be responding to guest reviews in my story any longer. It looks tacky, and the replies are delayed. I highly enjoy socializing with all you beautiful people and the ONLY time I do not reply within like an hour to my reviewers is when the reviews are down. (Or I'm out of town).
So, once again. If you have questions and you ask them through the guest feature, do not expect an answer. Makes me sound like a dick, but look at my OC… I kind of am :D.
Have a fantastical weekend everyone! See you all next week!
KENTA AND FU ARE GETTING MARRIED, Y'ALL!
