Viridi, Goddess of Nature

Skyworld…

Pit and Jared rushes to the door to start the adventure. The fanboy has Clara Oswald on the phone, he called up the one shortly after the Rings of Akhaten.

"Officer Pit reporting for duty!" Pit said.

"And Huntsman Jared reporting for duty!" Jared said.

Pit and Jared leap through the door.

Earth...

"The humans have fallen for Hades's hoax. They're killing themselves over that fantasy." Palutena said, telepathically.

"It looks like entire nations are fighting each other." Pit said.

"The Underworld Army is here to gather souls. Clearly, they expect many casualties. We can't stop a war this big right now. Focus on the Underworld Army."

"Roger!"

"You got it." Jared said, smiling.

"So things are going exactly as Hades planned." Pit said.

"He spread the rumor about the Wish Seed. And the humans were gullible enough to believe it." Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared fly down over the war.

"If only we'd had a chance to tell them the Wish Seed was a fake. Now look at them. It's like they've lost their humanity, and all they have left is...brutality!" Pit said, angrily.

"Oh my stars…" Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

A bright light shines in the sky.

"Huh!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"What's wrong?!" Pit exclaimed.

"Is it bad?" Jared asked.

"I have to pull the both of you back NOW!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"Huh?" Pit asked.

A massive fire ball descends from the sky and explodes on the Overworld.

"Shit." Jared said.

"WHOA!" Pit said, worried.

Palutena quickly flies Pit and Jared away from the explosion.

"W-what was that?" Pit asked.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Nice shot, if I do say so myself!" ??? said, telepathically.

A large projection of Viridi appears nearby the explosion.

"Good riddance, human scum! The world's better off without you!" Viridi said, telepathically.

Viridi's projection disappears.

"That was the goddess of nature, Viridi. Pit! Jared! Go check things out!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"We're on it!" Pit said.

"Yup. Viridi, didn't expect her to come after the Rings of Akhaten." Jared said, sadly.

"You knew she was coming. But you didn't say?" Clara asked, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"So you're the famous Palutena. I hear you've been busy." Viridi said, telepathically.

"And you're Viridi, ruler of the earth and all living things." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Hmph! I didn't know I had a fan club."

"WHY HAVE YOU DONE THIS?!" Pit exclaimed.

"Humans are driven by selfish desire. They think only of themselves. They were killing each other for what? A wish?! A FAKE wish?! They become Magical Girls who hunt down Witches or become mages to get the Holy Grail. They've strayed too far from their intended path. That's where my Reset Bombs come in—to help return Earth to its natural state!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"But aren't humans living beings too? Yet you think nothing of exterminating them." Palutena said, telepathically.

"What are you? A Dalek or Cyberman?" Jared asked.

"Ha ha! That's rich coming from the both of you! Me? A Dalek or Cyberman? You don't seem to have much of a problem slaughtering Underworld forces." Viridi said, telepathically.

"But that's totally different!" Pit said, angrily.

"We're defending the earth and heavens from those who seek their destruction." Palutena said, telepathically.

"What's a Dalek and Cyberman?" Clara asked, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"You'll find out, my Impossible Girl. I promise." Jared said, happily. "Maybe in a future adventure with the Doctor."

Pit and Jared approach the outside of the Reset Bomb Forest.

"Let's take a closer look, Pit, Jared." Palutena said, telepathically.

Palutena sends Pit and Jared inside.

"Wow…" Jared said, frowning.

"This is a pretty twisted version of nature." Pit said, scoffing.

"HUMANS massacre Earth's creatures, decimate the trees, and exploit the land. THEY'RE the twisted ones. They're enemies of life itself! Tell me, Palutena, why do they deserve special treatment?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

"Because, of all creatures, humans are closest to the gods. Gods cannot intervene in mankind's affairs as you have. Except Thor, who is the God of Thunder, and he is an Avenger. You have no right." Palutena said, telepathically.

"No right?! Humans are trampling over the rights of every other living thing! Should I just sit back and watch as they continue to destroy the earth? No, I must exterminate them all before it's too late!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"There's just no reasoning with her."

"I have to admit, she has a valid point. But wiping out humanity is NOT the answer." Pit said.

"I agree completely. You've given us no choice but to oppose you, Viridi." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Oh! That's brave of you, but the Forces of Nature...we're not what you're used to." Viridi said, telepathically.

"Viridi, she reminds me of Kyoko." Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"Kyoko Sakura? Now that I can agree with. They both have a temper. And I trust the two. Well, I'll trust Viridi someday." Jared said, frowning.

"You don't trust Viridi right now. Why not?"

"She's a tsundere. She'll warm up to me later."

"I'm surprised you've survived this long, Pit, Jared." Viridi said, telepathically.

"I'll take that as a compliment!" Pit said, happily.

"Same. Anything is a compliment from you." Jared said, rolling his eyes.

"I think it's time you two meet one of my finest warriors. Come on out, Cragalanche!" Viridi said, telepathically.

A bright yellow sphere flies down past Pit and Jared, causing them to lose their balance and fall from the sky.

"Whooooooooooa!" Pit said.

"What?!" Jared exclaimed.

"Pit! Jared!" Palutena said, telepathically.

Reset Bomb Forest…

Pit and Jared roughly land at the bottom of the Reset Bomb Forest.

"Ugggghh…" Pit said.

"Ow…" Jared said, lifting himself off the ground.

The fanboy looked over at Pit to see that he is okay.

"Are you OK, Pit, Jared?" Palutena asked, telepathically.

"I think they're fine." Clara said, her voice in Jared's AirPods.

"Now, Pit, you are the captain of Palutena's guard, and Jared, you are a hero of justice, yes? I look forward to seeing how the two of you fare against Cragalanche." Viridi said, telepathically.

"You should be more worried about how HE fares against US!" Pit said, angrily.

"Yup. He might end up being a piece of cake." Jared said, smirking.

"Careful, Pit, Jared. I need you two in good shape. Besides you both, all I've got are the centurions. You know, maybe I should open a boot camp to toughen them up." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Still wouldn't give them muscles like these!" Pit said, happily.

Pit and Jared approach one of the human survivors.

"Good! There are survivors!" Pit said.

"Thank god!" Jared said, smiling.

"That's good. At least." Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"They're a stubborn bunch, hanging on like that. Set as many free as you can." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Uh...stubborn?" Pit asked.

"Oh, I didn't mean it like that."

"Maybe what you meant to say was 'insignificant.'" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Oi! Humans aren't insignificant!" Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"Jared! Who is this? Your girlfriend?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

"Yes…" Jared said, blushing a lot.

Pit and Jared travel deeper into the Reset Bomb Forest.

"I can still make out buildings in this forest." Pit said.

"There must have been a town here." Palutena said.

"How sad. A whole town turned into a forest." Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"Tell me about it. I don't like it one bit." Jared said, letting out a sigh.

"Reset Bombs won't harm wildlife or natural habitats. Their only purpose is the obliteration of humankind." Viridi said, telepathically.

"Oh, is that all?" Pit asked.

"I suppose that accounts for all the life in here." Palutena said, telepathically.

"In a few years, this place will be completely covered in green. Flowers will bloom, trees will grow, and the natural food chain will take over. It will be mankind's winter and the beginning of MY spring!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"At least a zoo hasn't run rampant." Jared said.

"Wait. That happens?" Clara asked, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

Pit and Jared don't immediately break the brambles obstructing their path.

"Whoops. Spoilers." Jared said, sadly.

"Some of the branches are pretty weak. Try breaking them to move forward." Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared approach a Hot Spring puddle.

"It looks like there used to be a hot spring here." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Wait! There's a little water left!" Pit said.

"Thank goodness!" Jared said, happily.

"Do the both of you soak in every random puddle that crosses your path?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

"Not if it's lava, quicksand, or a mud bath. Two of those are deadly and one of them is gross." Jared said. "Hot springs are safe."

Pit and Jared enter the Hot Spring.

"What's with the two of you and hot springs?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

"What's with you and not minding your own business?" Pit asked.

"She doesn't know how to do that." Jared said, letting out a sigh.

Pit and Jared take a Jump Pad to a higher level.

"Hugh! Ah! Where are we?" Pit asked.

Pit and Jared proceed through the forest.

"You can't go any farther, so I've set up a grind rail." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Thank you kindly!" Pit said, happily.

"We really appreciate it." Jared said, smiling.

"It's tangled in there, so I had to wind it around the trees." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Calling you a snake would be an insult to snakes! But you are crafty. I'll give you that." Viridi said, telepathically.

On the Grind Rail, a random conversation may trigger.

"Doesn't Viridi remind you of Gertrud?" Sayaka asked, telepathically.

"Sayaka?" Jared asked. "How'd you get in here?"

"Palutena opened the line to all of us Holy Quintet today." Mami said, telepathically.

"Nice seeing you girls again." Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"Lady Palutena, can you link my phone call with Clara to the telepathic conversation?" Jared asked.

"Okay." Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared encounter a Jitterthug.

"Man, look at the face on this guy!" Pit said.

"That's a Jitterthug. Melee attacks won't hurt him at all when he's red. And when he's green, shooting him won't work! What are you going to do NOW?!" Viridi exclaimed, telepathically.

"Uh...I guess we'll just melee him when he's green and shoot him when he's red!" Pit said.

"That is a good plan." Homura said, telepathically.

"I agree." Mami said, telepathically. "Do that."

"But...oh, darn it!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Thanks for the advice! When a Jitterthug is green, melee him. When he's red, shoot him!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"I think I figured it out. Viridi has my role." Kyoko said, telepathically.

"Pit has mine." Sayaka said, telepathically.

"For me, it's Palutena." Mami said, telepathically.

"Um, Clara has mine." Madoka said, telepathically.

"And Jared has my role." Homura said, telepathically.

"I may not agree with Palutena all the time, but I trust her." Jared said, sadly.

"I can hear you." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Which is why I say it. You're dependable."

Pit and Jared arrive at an area with Aether Rings.

"Aether Rings!" Pit said, happily.

"You're a lucky angel, Pit, and a lucky human, Jared." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Believe me, I know. These things drive smoooooth!" Pit said, happily.

"They do." Jared said.

"Plus, they provide protection AND firepower. Is that good design or WHAT!" Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared takes a slope to another level.

On the slope, a random conversation may trigger.

"So, Viridi being like Gertrud…" Homura said, telepathically.

"Viridi and Gertrude are distrustful of humanity. They don't want people to trample over their property like…" Jared said.

"Fuzzy Lumpkins!" Sayaka said, telepathically.

"From the PowerPuff Girls?" Clara asked, her voice over Jared's AirPods. "Isn't that a superhero cartoon?"

"Yup. And they extend their power for nature. You see? Similar."

"This place is big." Pit said.

"There's another Aether Ring in the middle of that giant tree." Palutena said, telepathically.

"But why there?" Pit asked.

"Ask Viridi." Palutena said, telepathically.

"I installed it for my army to use...but no one passed Driver's Ed." Viridi said, telepathically.

"I'm not surprised."

"I can't believe you didn't think of that before." Pit said.

"You were attacking! I was busy! Leave me alone!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Man, this adventure is nice." Jared said, happily. "I've got my family together."

"How about the Doctor?" Clara asked, her voice through Jared's AirPods.

"He'll pick me up next Wednesday."

"Why are you sticking to my traveling schedule?"

"Why not? Isn't that weird?"

"No…"

Pit and Jared take too long to proceed while in the Aether Ring.

"To exit the Aether Ring, tap the arrow on the Touch Screen." Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared fall into a large Hot Spring pool.

"What is this? A hot spring! A HUGE hot spring!" Pit said, excitedly.

"It's nature's bathtub." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Sorry hot spring, don't have the time for you today." Jared said, frowning.

Pit and Jared takes a Jump Pad out of the Hot Spring.

"There's a maze up ahead. Try not to get too lost." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Great. A maze." Jared said, letting out a sigh. "I hate mazes."

"Viridi's army is called the Forces of Nature. Many of her troops are made of natural resources, like wood, dirt, and rocks." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Eco-conscious down to her troops! Everyone's going green these days." Pit said.

"I'm not GOING green; I've always BEEN green. I use cloth shopping bags. I compost my food scraps. And I separate my recycling into 15 types!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Now THIS is a goddess who sweats the details." Pit said.

"I could learn a thing or two from her." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Ugh! I thought going through this would be easy." Jared said, scoffing. "After Pandora."

"That place did give you a headache." Sayaka said, telepathically.

"How do you five deal with Witch's labyrinths on a daily basis? It's impossible!"

"We use tracking magic." Mami said, telepathically.

"Of course you do. Who wouldn't use that?"

"You don't." Homura said, telepathically.

"I don't see why. That comes in handy. If you go into one as a group." Kyoko said, telepathically.

"Girls! Shut up! I get it!" Jared said, angrily.

"Don't yell. We're trying to help."

Pit and Jared take too long inside the maze.

"Are you lost? If you're having trouble, pick one direction and stick with it. If you wind up in the same place, switch sides and try it again. I know you can get through this." Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared enter an area with several Forces of Nature troops.

"I think the both of you are getting close to Cragalanche!" Palutena said, telepathically.

"We'll just take care of these guys first!" Pit said, happily.

"Um. I don't know how you can get through that. That's a lot of enemies." Clara said, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"I know. But they're easy enough." Jared said, smiling.

Pit and Jared defeat all the enemies.

"OK, let's go." Palutena said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared walk into an arena with a large pile of rocks in the center, which fall apart and reveal Cragalanche inside.

"..." Cragalanche said.

"Cragalanche, huh? What are you, a monster truck?" Pit asked.

"Pit, huh? What are YOU? A hole in the ground?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

The battle initiates.

"..." Cragalanche said.

"Guy doesn't talk much, does he?" Pit asked.

"Not as much as Korg. Who won't be in my life until the future. I think." Jared said, crossing his arms.

"He's a rock. Last I checked, they're more the strong, silent type. Tell you what—I'll do the talking for him. Cragalanche crush!" Viridi said, telepathically.

Cragalanche flies at Pit and Jared with surprising agility.

"Wow! Nice moves!" Pit said.

"Yes, he's been practicing this routine all week." Viridi said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared attacks Cragalanche straight on.

"Attacking Cragalanche straight on won't do much damage. Swing around him to attack him from behind. To do this, keep your reticle fixed on him, get up close, and dash left or right." Palutena said, telepathically.

"Uhhh...I'll just check the How to Play movies for details." Pit said.

"How to Play movies? We're not on the 3DS." Jared said, scoffing.

"3DS? Isn't that the console that came out 2 years ago?" Clara asked, her voice over Jared's AirPods.

"In your time. Yes. It is."

Pit and Jared attacks Cragalanche's weak spot.

"It looks like there's a weak spot on his butt!" Pit said, happily.

"Arrgh! Oh, he was supposed to get that fixed!" Viridi said, telepathically.

"Thanks for the tip!" Pit said.

"I didn't say anything!"

"You totally did!" Jared said.

"I didn't!"

"You did!"

"Shut up!"

"It's butt-kicking time! Literally!" Pit said, smiling.

"Oh, shut up! You're not clever at all!" Viridi said, telepathically.

Pit and Jared defeats Cragalanche.

"In your rock face!" Pit said.

"That's your idea of a victory taunt? Please." Viridi said, telepathically.

Cragalanche falls over and explodes, his remains flying up into the sky. A projection of Viridi then appears before Pit and Jared.

"The both of you put on quite a show there. But you should know that the next Reset Bomb is very nearly complete. Hmm, now where do you think I should drop it this time?" Viridi asked, telepathically.

Viridi's projection disappears.

"You can't do that!" Pit said.

"You really can't!" Jared said, angrily. "Idiot!"

A light shines down over Pit and Jared.

"First Hades, now Viridi? We need to figure out a plan." Palutena said, telepathically.

Palutena whisks Pit and Jared away.
