Spider-Man:Into the Spiderverse

(Open POV)

Bedroom…

"Oh, go on, please. Please, please, please, please." Katie said, looking at Owen.

"No, you don't even like her, ever since she didn't pay for her share of the Chinese in Leicester." Owen said.

"Yeah, but we want Julia to come and it'll look odd if we invite one without the other."

"Oh God, help me please. Help me, God."

"Three tables done. Nine more to go. You want to back out? It's still not too late."

"Listen, I'm marrying you even if it kills me, okay?"

"Good. Do you want a cup of tea?" Katie asked.

"Yeah, I'll make one." Owen said, happily.

"I think I can manage."

Kitchen…

Katie is holding a mug and teabag, and staring at nothing.

"Katie." Owen said, walking up to Katie.

"Yeah?" Katie asked.

"Er, water."

"Yeah." Katie said, going to fill the mug from the tap.

"From the kettle." Owen said, looking at the tea kettle which had fortunately boiled. "Milk."

"Stop nagging me. I don't want to have milk. I've never liked milk. I want to have…"

"Tea."

"I want to have tea without…"

"Milk."

"Tea without milk." Katie said, while she starts crying.

"Darling, it's all right. It's all right." Owen said, smiling.

Consultant's office…

Katie is outside, smoking. A set of brain scans is on the light box.

"I got your invitation. Still going ahead?" Jim asked.

"I promised her a summer wedding." Owen said, sadly.

"Before all this."

"This changes nothing."

"Owen, it will change everything."

"You don't know for certain." Owen said, looking at Jim.

"We've been through Kate's test results more times than any patient in my whole career. You've looked through them yourself. All the evidence suggests she has early onset Alzheimer's." Jim said, frowning.

"The youngest case in medical history."

"It doesn't mean we're wrong."

"Please. Run more tests. Let's just try one more MRI scan."

"An MRI isn't going to make any difference."

"You don't know that. Now, you have said yourself, that this is unlike any case that you've ever seen. Now, maybe you've missed something." Owen said, angrily.

"Owen…" Jim said, letting out a sigh.

"You don't understand, Jim, okay? One day she's fine, she's perfect memory, the old Katie, and the next there's nothing. She's blank. Now, I am losing her and I don't know what to do about that, okay? So please. What's the point of me doing this job if I can't help my own fiancée?"

"I'll see what I can do."

"Thank you, Jim."

Hospital corridor…

After the MRI scan.

"It's like being lost in a place you know really well, you cant get your bearings. Sometimes it comes back to you, and sometimes. I'm sorry, Owen." Katie said, letting out tears.

"What've you got to be sorry for?" Owen asked.

"I don't want to put you through this. Last night, I dreamt that you left me."

"Oh, come on. Nobody's leaving anyone."

Consultant's office…

"How is that possible?" Owen asked.

"We don't know. I've never seen anything like it. It's not the brain deteriorating, it's a clear physical tumour." Jim said, looking at the MRI scan.

"That wasn't there last week." Owen said, his eyes widening.

"Not that we saw. You were right to ask for another scan."

"So, what do we do now?"

"We have to view this as good news. Katie, we need to take you into surgery soon as possible, and remove the tumour." Jim said, walking over to Katie.

"Do you understand? Katie?" Owen asked, looking at Katie.

"I can't remember your name." Katie said, sadly.

Outside the Operating Theatre…

"Are you sure she's up to this?" Owen asked.

"We're going to do everything we can for her." Jim said, going inside.

Owen waits. And waits. The theatre doors move briefly.

"I'm sorry, Owen. I truly am sorry." Jared said, walking up to Owen.

"Who the hell are the two of you?" Owen asked, looking between Jack and Jared.

"Jared's right. We are sorry. We tried to tell them you should prepare for the worst." Jack said, walking into the operating room with Jared.

"No, both of you can't go in there." Owen said, following Jack and Jared inside.

Operating Theatre…

The theatre staff are all dead.

"Oh, my God. Katie." Owen said, as a purple starfish is sticking to the top of Katie's brain. "What is it?"

"Owen, we really are sorry. Jack and I, we tried to stop them. Katie Russell. Your fiancée. She's dead." Jared said, grabbing Jack's hand.

"Yeah. She is dead. That thing in her head is an alien life form. It incubates in the brain, disrupting the shape and functions. When it's attacked or threatened, it emits a toxic gas that's fatal to humans. It clears pretty quickly." Jack said.

"She can't be dead. She can't be dead. I'm calling, calling the police." Owen said, fixated on Katie.

"Tell them that Torchwood's already here and dealing with it. That'll save them a call-out. We need to take her brain back with us."

"Don't touch her. Don't touch her. Don't touch her." Owen said, looking between Jack and Jared.

"Owen, I wish I could have changed things. But it's too late." Jared said, chloroforming Owen."Goodnight, Doctor Owen Harper."

Hospital room…

"How are you feeling?" A nurse asked.

"Where is she?" Owen asked, getting off the hospital bed.

"Where's who?"

"Katie. Katie Russell. She's a junior doctor. She works here. We're about to get married."

"Let's get you back into bed." The nurse said, sadly.

"Get off me. Where is she? Where is she? Where is she!" Owen yelled.

Doctor's office…

The doctor is taking notes.

"One of them was wearing a military uniform. The other was wearing a hoodie and jeans. They had American accents." Owen said, frowning.

"I promise, we have checked all the security footage. There were no such men." The doctor said, looking at Owen.

"Jim Garrett was poisoned by some alien toxin, by some…"

"Jim Garrett was in a car accident."

"The Americans said that they wanted her brain, and there was an alien creature or. This happened, okay? This is not some trauma or delayed grief or whatever you're scribbling down." Owen said, looking at the notepad.

"Katie's tumour was inoperable. There was nothing anyone could have done." The doctor said.

"This is just wrong." Owen said.

"I'm giving you three months prescribed rest. Don't come into work."

"Yeah."

Security office…

Checking the tapes of Owen waiting outside the Operating Theatre.

"This isn't right. They were there. It wasn't just me. They were there too. That is not what happened. That's not what happened." Owen said, looking at the monitor.

Cemetery…

Katie's ashes are buried under a mound of flowers. Owen sees Jack and Jared watching him and runs over.

"You!" Owen said, punching Jack, then he punched Jared. "You two could've saved her! The two of you could've saved her! You both could've saved her!"

Owen tries to strangle Jack.

"We couldn't, Owen. Jack and I really couldn't." Jared said, sadly.

Later, Owen is walking through the cemetery proper with Jack and Jared.

"You two are not figments of my imagination, and I don't know what's happening any more. Maybe this is what a mental breakdown feels like." Owen said.

"Owen, you're fine. You're sane. It's the rest of the world that is delusional." Jared said, happily.

"Why her?" Owen asked.

"There's no reason. Your life doesn't end with her. What are you gonna do now? Go back to work? See echoes of her in every corridor? You need a purpose. Jared and I, we're building something. We need a medic." Jack said.

"And you want me?" Owen asked.

"Yup. We do. You made them take more scans. Like, come on. You kept on trying to track Captain Jack Harkness and I down. You don't give up easily. We need someone like that to work with us in Cardiff." Jared said, smiling.

"To fight aliens." Owen said.

"Exactly." Jack said, smirking.

"Look I don't know what happened to Katie, and I don't know who you really are, but there is no such thing as aliens." Owen said, looking between Jack and Jared.

"You think there aren't aliens. But there are. Aliens are real. And so is magic. And well, time travel. There is a lot to this universe you don't know about, Owen Harper." Jared said, grabbing Jack's hand.

Hub…

"I'm having a breakdown. Mental collapse." Owen said, clutching his head.

"Owen, why did you become a doctor?" Jared asked, walking over to Owen.

"I thought if I could save one life, mine would be worthwhile. But you save one and there's another, and another, all clawing at you, demanding to be saved. And even if you do succeed, you can never save enough." Owen said, sadly.

"Maybe here you can." Jack said, when Jared started glitching in and out of existence. "Jared? What's happening to you?"

"Oh. I know what this is. I can't believe it!" Jared said, getting teleported somewhere. "This will take me somewhere. I know where too. I have to look for Aunt May!"

INT. QUEEN'S STREET - NIGHT…

Peter takes in a small house. There are cards, bouquets, and toys cluttering the porch. A text box on screen said: SOMEWHERE IN QUEENS.

"We should probably go." Peter said, looking between Gwen and Miles.

"Peter, we're literally on the doorstep." Gwen said.

"Bad idea, bad idea, this is a bad idea…"

"Just relax." Gwen said, while the front door opens a crack and Aunt May's eyes are peering out.

"You guys are all very sweet but no more fans today, please." Aunt May said, as her eyes widen, stepping out onto her porch, stunned at the sight of Peter.

"I'm not ready for this." Peter said.

"Peter…"

"Hey Aunt May... So this is going to sound crazy... but I'm pretty sure that I'm from an…"

"…an alternate dimension."

"Yeah."

May touches his face in awe. Peter absorbs her touch.

"You look tired, Peter." Aunt May said, sadly.

"Well, I am tired." Peter said.

Aunt May notes Peter's physique, "And older. And... thicker."

"Yeah, I've heard that already."

"Oh jeez, are those sweatpants?" Aunt May asked.

"Yup. That's what they are." Gwen said, frowning.

"I was there... when it all happened. I am so sorry." Miles said, sadly.

"And what dimension are you from?" Aunt May asked.

"Brooklyn. Did Peter have a place where we could make another one of these?" Miles asked, showing her the busted doodad.

Aunt May regards it as something important, "A goober... Follow me."

BACK YARD…

Aunt May kicks open a door and leads them to a garden shed in the tidy yard.

"Oh yeah, I got one of these too. A little shed where I keep my spider-gear…" Peter said.

A Spider-graphic begins to glow on the shed's door, which opens to reveal an elevator.

Aunt May looks at Peter: was YOURS like this?

As they enter:

"I mean, this place is pretentious." Peter said.

(Jared's POV)

INT. PETER PARKER'S LAB - CONTINUOUS…

They are looking at RIPeter's massive, Spider-Man Meets Calatrava lab: Crammed with crime-fighting and science gear, photos, hangout furniture, not to mention every Spider-branded product in existence.

They reach the bottom, fan out, exploring.

"Whoa…dude, was yours anything like this?" Miles asked.

"Mine was like this, but take away the jeep, the plane...imagine it way smaller. Imagine a futon. I feel sad for this guy." Peter said.

Miles notices one of 616Peter's costumes... it has a cape. He looks back at Peter slyly, vindicated.

Peter finds a photo: RIPeter and MJ, together. Happy. It hits him hard. Miles notices.

"Hey Peter, I think this is a cape." Miles said, happily.

Peter can't help smiling. Gwen, in turn, watches this happen, her wheels turning.

Miles is looking at the costumes. His reflection, still a bit off-center. May walks up.

"Peter knew how dangerous the job was. But he figured the only one who could stop this guy was Spider-Man." Aunt May said, frowning.

"Kingpin knows we're coming. We're going to be outnumbered." Miles said.

"Don't be so sure." May said, holding out 'my name is' stickers. "You might need these."

Miles looks up to see five sets of eyes open in the shadows. Spider sense rings out everywhere. Miles gasps. Gwen spins around, on high alert. On a shocked Peter, Miles, and Gwen.

"You think you're the only people who thought to come here?" Aunt May asked.

There are sounds of blinds flicking open…

Spider-Man Noir is lit with venetian blind shadows, a black-and-white figure whose coat is inexplicably billowing around him.

"Hey fellas." Spider-Man Noir said.

"Is he in black and white?" Miles asked.

"Where is that wind coming from? We're in a basement." Peter said.

"Wherever I go, the wind follows. And the wind, smells like rain." Spider-Man Noir said.

There is a sound of a machine whirring above. Boom! Peni Parker jumps down from above.

"Hi guys! Konichiwa! Hajimemashita yoroshuku?" Peni asked.

Boom! SP//dr, Peni's robot, lands behind Peni in a badass Spider-pose.

"Now that's badass." I said, happily.

"This could literally not get any weirder." Peter said.

Spider-Ham walks into the shot next to Peter.

Spider-Ham sticks out his hand for Peter to shake, "It CAN get weirder! I just washed my hands, that's why they're wet. No other reason."

All of their spider senses go off which includes my foresight that made my eyes glow blue, "You're like me."

Spider-Ham/ Spider-Man Noir/ Peni Parker SP//DR comics and my fan fiction series drop on top of Gwen's-- which makes this the ultimate Spider-Man crossover.

"My name is Peter Porker. I was bitten by a radioactive pig." Spider-Ham said.

Noir dispatches endless bad guys. A SPIDER in SP//dr's helmet bites Peni's outstretched hand.

"In my universe, it's 1933 and I'm a private eye. I like to drink egg creams and I like to fight Nazis. A lot." Spider-Man Noir said.

"I am from New York in the year 3145. I have a psychic link with a spider who lives inside my father's robot, and we're best friends. Forever." Peni said, lying down on her robot.

"I am from a universe where everything was a TV show. I ended up in another dimension where it all became real. And now I have been living there ever since." I said, walking up to Peni.

"Sometimes I let matches burn down to my fingertips just to feel something, anything." Spider-Man Noir said.

I closed my eyes to imagine crazy Spider-Ham images, including him working at The Daily Beagle with a newsroom of beagles.

"I'm a photographer for the Daily Beagle. When I'm not pooching around, I'm working like a dog trying to sniff out the latest story. I frolic and I dance and I do this with my pants…" Spider-Ham said.

"Shut up!" I said, interrupting Peter Porker. "That's too long of a monologue."

Peter turns to Noir, "So, uh, how did you get here?"

"Well, it's kind of a long story." Spider-Man Noir said.

There is a three second montage of the collider explosion. But this time, Noir, Peni, Ham, and I streak out of the explosion.

We landed in New York. And the four of us are in the hideout.

"Maybe not that long." Spider-Man Noir said.

"And now we're just trying to find a way home." Peni said, sadly.

"Yeah. This isn't my home. I am immortal now. I have a semblance and foresight. But I wasn't expecting to end up here. I was in this cool underground base. Not like this. But it was one of my homes." I said, frowning.

"The only way home is back through the collider gizmo. The only trouble is…" Spider-Man Noir said.

"…One of us has to stay behind and destroy it." Spider-Ham said.

"I'll do it." Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, Peni, Gwen, and I said, at the same time.

"No, no, no, you don't get it." Miles said.

"Don't get what…" Peni said, looking at Miles.

We all glitch. Real ugly. Except Miles.

"None of you can stay here. If you stay here, you'll die. And Jared, I get that you're immortal. But you'll die over and over again if you stay here. I'm the guy who's going to turn it off and I'm going to get you all home before I do. Look, I made a promise. So I have to keep it." Miles said, as we all looked at him.

"I mean, that's a good speech." I said, smirking. "And it is kind of inspiring."

"…Who are you again?" Spider-Man Noir asked, fixated on Miles.

Peter jumps in, immediately in 'music man' sales mode, talking Miles up.

"This is Miles, and he's going to save the multiverse." Peter said, happily.

"Yeah, man." Miles said, smiling.

"This kid can turn himself invisible! Watch this, he can do it... now!"

Miles struggles to turn invisible but he can't, "I can't do it on command…"

"…He can't do it on command. But it is cool. Show them the zappy thing, Miles." Peter said.

Once again, Miles tries to show off his power but he can't do it.

"I can't do it on command…" Miles said.

"…He can't do it on command. But he can do so much more, like, what else do you do…" Peter said.

"Just those two things…"

"...Just those two things."

"Look, I've seen him in action. He's got potential. I think he's gonna get us home." Gwen said, saying it with conviction.

"I don't know if he can." I said, and me and everyone else wants to believe it. "I really don't. I mean, Miles isn't me. But I'm not in my home dimension. Where I have all of the tech I need to get us home."

Noir steps forward to prove it out, "OK, little fella, Kingpin's gonna send a lot of mugs after ya, I'm talking hard boys, real biscuit boxers. Can you fight them all off at once?"

"Well, I, I haven't actually fought anyone…" Miles said.

"Surprise attack!" Spider-Man Noir said, while Miles tries to fight him, but he knocks the new Spider-Man down.

Peni jumps in, "Can you re-wire a mainframe while being shot at?"

"Can I what?" Miles asked.

"Show me!" Peni said, angrily.

"Can you run really fast from laser blasts in a narrow hallway?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Surprise attack!" Spider-Man Noir said, knocking Miles down again.

"Can you swing and flip with the grace of a trained dancer?" Gwen asked.

"Can you close off your feelings so you don't get crippled by the moral ambiguity of your violent actions?" Spider-Man Noir asked.

"Can you help your aunt create an online dating profile so she can get out of the dang house once in a while?" Aunt May asked.

"Can you float through the air when you smell a delicious pie?" Spider-Ham asked.

"What?" Miles asked.

"Can you be strong?" Gwen asked.

"Faithful…" I said, looking at Miles.

"…Ruthless…" Peni said.

"…Disciplined…" Gwen said.

"I don't know, maybe…" Miles said.

Spider-Ham is making the sound effect of smashing his head with a boing sound.

"…Show me some moxie, soldier…" Spider-Man Noir said, looking at Miles.

"Above all, no matter how many times you get hit, can you get back up?" Gwen asked.

"Because when a Spider-Man is on the floor…" Spider-Man Noir said.

"…When you think you've given your all…" Gwen said.

"…When you think you can't keep going…" Spider-Ham said.

"…Spider-Man always gets up." Spider-Man Noir said.

"Like how I usually do on my adventures. And how I always save the world." I said, smiling.

Bam! Bam! Bam! Miles is knocked down Repeatedly. He lies on the ground.

"Come on, Miles! Don't give up!" I said, excitedly.

"Miles, you can do this!" Gwen said, looking down at Miles.

"Get up Miles! Get up!" All the Spiders and I said, at the same time.

"Alright guys, cool it…" Peter said, sadly.

"C'mon Miles! Get up!" Gwen said.

The Spiders and I watch Miles struggle on the floor. He can't get up. Concerned looks are exchanged.

The Spiders and I gather in a circle to talk, leaving Miles behind.

"Peter, come here. You need to be more honest with yourself about this. He's not ready, it's obvious." Gwen said.

"It really is. He hasn't gone through the stuff we have yet." I said, grabbing Peni's hand. "Miles is still too young and inexperienced."

"You're right, Jared. There's no way. He's just a kid." Spider-Man Noir said.

"But if he can't do this, we have to stay and do it for him." Gwen said.

"He's looking right at us while we talk about him…"

A beat, then Peter looks to where Miles was and realizes the elevator is moving up.

"Miles? Miles?" Peter asked, sheepishly. "See that? He can uh, turn invisible…"

Miles, invisible, rides the elevator. All the spiders and I see is the shed doors opening way up in the rafters.

(Open POV)

EXT. CITY STREETS - ROOFTOPS - NIGHT…

Walking down the street, despondent. Miles lifts up his phone, checks his messages. We hear his parents message:

"Miles, what is going on with you? Nobody has heard from you. We don't know what's going on. Look, if you're hiding something from us, you need to come clean. You call me back. Now." Jefferson said, over the voicemail.

Miles picks up speed.

EXT. UNCLE AARON'S FIRE ESCAPE - LATER…

Miles climbs to the rooftop across from Aaron's apartment. As he does, he hears audio of a phone ringing.

INT. SQUAD CAR…

"Aye... he's not answering me either." Rio said.

Jefferson is on the phone. Rio sits next to him and clicks the phone to hear a voice mail message.

"...It's Aaron. I'm outta town for a few days. Hit you when I'm back. Peace." Aaron said, through voicemail.

"Aaron, it's Jeff. Look, I need you to call me if you've heard from Miles." Jefferson said.

EXT. UNCLE AARON'S APARTMENT…

Miles is on the fire escape, he opens a window and climbs in, calling out for Uncle Aaron.

INT. SQUAD CAR…

"He has a soft spot for you and we haven't heard from him. You know I wouldn't reach out if this wasn't important. Hope you're good." Jefferson said, hanging up the phone, looking pensive.

Rio looks at him.

INT. UNCLE AARON'S APARTMENT - CONTINUOUS…

Miles writes a note, "Dear Uncle Aaron, I gotta do something and I don't know if I can do it. I'm scared man. I'm just tired of letting everybody down. You're the only one I can talk to. I just wish you were here."

Miles stops writing when he hears a noise on the fire escape.

"Uncle Aaron?" Miles asked, as the figure gets closer, the silhouette becomes clear: The Prowler.

Terrified, Miles scrambling to hide. The Prowler enters -- but Freezes. Something feels wrong.

Remembering, Miles lowers his Spider-Man mask.

The Prowler looks to the sofa, then around the room again, as if sensing something. He pads quietly, towards where Miles is hiding.

Miles sits frozen, not daring to breathe. The Prowler is there, inches from Miles' invisible face.

Prowler's phone rings and he answers.

"Hello, Mr. Fisk. I've got the security tapes from the tunnel right here. If the kid's out there, I'll find him." The Prowler said, lifting his mask, revealing himself as Aaron. "You know me, sir. I don't ever quit."

Miles' eyes go wide. He gasps and slowly backs away while Aaron's head snaps up at the sound. He looks around the room and puts his mask back on... Aaron sees the blur, following to the window.

EXT. UNCLE AARON'S ALLEY…

Miles, as Spider-Man drops from the ladder as the Prowler is in pursuit, leaping from the fire escape.

EXT. BROOKLYN STREETS…

Miles runs, with the Prowler in pursuit on his motorcycle.

In the middle of traffic, Miles sees that he seems to have lost Prowler. But Prowler follows from the rooftops, watching where Miles goes.

INT. PETER PARKER'S LAB…

Peni and SP//dr finish making a new goober.

(Jared's POV)

INT. AUNT MAY'S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM…

Noir lays on the couch, examining a Rubik's Cube. I am playing Splatoon 3:Side Order on my Nintendo Switch. Peni hands Peter the new goober. He hangs it around his neck with a lanyard.

"This is purple." Spider-Man Noir said, looking at Spider-Ham.

"No." Spider-Ham said.

"Blue?" Spider-Man Noir asked.

"No."

"Has anyone heard from Miles?" Gwen asked.

"Nope. Haven't seen him all day." I said, holding my Nintendo Switch. "Where is he? Should we look for him?"

"No. We shouldn't." Peter said, smiling. "Look, he's just clearing his head. I know the kid. He's got what it takes. I bet you he's going to come back through that door recharged and ready to fight."

Gwen and I stare at Peter, not believing a word he's saying. Just then, Miles stumbles in, a wreck and heaving.

"My uncle!" Miles said, worried.

"Hey, where have you been, we…" Peter said.

"My Uncle Aaron, he…he…he's the Prowler!"

"Ok, slow down. Slow down, Miles." Peter said.

"He works for Kingpin, he tried to kill me!"

"This is a pretty hardcore origin story." Spider-Man Noir said.

"I've seen worse. Like with the Time Child, the Angel of Time, Daemon, the Wanderer, the Oracle, the Associate, and the Seer." I said, while Miles fought tears. "So many people with pretty hardcore origin stories. But this, yeah. This is, um…"

The spiders and I look to Peter…who doesn't have the slightest idea of what to say.

"It's okay, it's okay, we're gonna figure it out." Peter said.

"Were you followed?" Gwen asked.

"No. I don't think so." Miles said, as we hear a rumbling and then we hear the doorbell ring.

"Shit." I said, and the door crashes with Doc Ock suddenly walking in through the door.

A tentacle shoots out and knocks a tea tray out of Aunt May's hands.

"Cute place. Real homey." Doc Ock said.

"Oh great, it's Liv." Aunt May said, annoyed.

"I guess I was followed." Miles said, heartbroken.

"Oh no…" Gwen said, sadly.

"Get out of here kid." Peter said.

"It's not safe here." I said, while Miles turns to run through the kitchen but is blocked by Tombstone.

"You messed up big time kid. Very sloppy." Tombstone said, pushing past Miles and revealing Scorpion behind him.

"Mira todas estas arañitas." Scorpion said.

"Damn it. No TARDIS translation matrix." I said, as Peter, the spiders, and I got into position. "I don't know what he's saying."

"It's okay, Jared. You don't need the TARDIS for this." Peter said, looking at Scorpion. "Let me guess, you're Scorpion? Well, we're the, uh... Spider-gang."

"Would you mind taking this outside?" Aunt May asked.

"We don't pick the ballroom, we just dance." Spider-Man Noir said.

Doc Ock sees the Goober on Peter's person, "Oh, I think I'll be taking that."

Doc Ock's tentacles reach out towards Peter and everyone leaps into action. It's an eleven person fight in a tiny Queens living room.

Scorpion corners Miles, who defends himself with couch cushions!

"Ninoto dale." Scorpion said.

"Preparate a miror. A man stupid pillows!" Miles said, while the couch cushions are stuck to his hands and Scorpion attacks.

SPDR is there to save him as Miles gets unstuck from the cushions.

Doc Ock smashes Peter and I into the ceiling.

Aunt May swings her baseball bat at Tombstone and knocks him out the front door, onto the street, "I said take it outside!"

The goober comes loose and Miles goes after it.

"I got it!" Miles said, chasing after the key but is thrown against the wall.

"Yes!" I said, grabbing the key away from Doc Ock but Scorpion knocked it out of my hand. "Shit!"

Noir catches the key but glitches, dropping it.

Miles continues to chase after the key as it is kicked around the room. He finally grabs it when his spider-sense goes off when the Prowler crashes in through the window, landing in front of Miles.

Peter webs the goober out of Miles' hand.

"I got this buddy." Peter said, looking at the Prowler. "Leave the kid alone!"

Peter and Prowler fight and struggle for the goober.

"No, no, no. No!" Miles said, worried.

Peter kicks Prowler off himself and out through the wall into the street.

"You gotta go, man." Peter said, frowning.

Just then, SP//dr, Doc Ock, and I slam into Peter and all of us are knocked out the front of the house into the street.

EXT. AUNT MAY'S STREET - HOUSE - DAY…

The battle is now on the rooftops and smashing out of the front windows, moving out into the neighborhood.

(Open POV)

INT. POLICE CAR…

Sirens in the air. Jefferson races through the streets.

"...All vehicles in the area, we have a disturbance involving multiple spider... people?" Someone on the police radio asked.

"Yeah, on my way!" Jefferson said, talking into the radio.

INT. AUNT MAY'S HOUSE…

Miles gets up out of the rubble, the goober in his hand. The Prowler dives right at him claws-first! Miles dives out of the way. The Prowler instantly regroups and comes at Miles again, relentless.

He swipes with his claws, narrowly missing Miles.

"Give me that thing!" The Prowler said, angrily.

Miles races through the house, the Prowler in pursuit. They face off, the kitchen table between them.

"Don't be stupid, kid. Hand it over, now…" The Prowler said, swiping down, destroying the table.

Miles races up the stairs, Aaron close behind.

He grabs Miles' LEG but Miles kicks him away, continuing upstairs to the hole SP//dr blasted through the roof.

EXT. AUNT MAY'S HOUSE ROOFTOP…

Miles scrambles up through the hole onto the roof -- but before he can swing away Prowler lands in front of him. Miles is trapped.

"Nowhere left to run." The Prowler said, reaching a standoff and Miles pulls off his mask. "...Miles?"

"Uncle Aaron." Miles said, sadly.

Aaron takes off his mask as well, "Oh no no no no…"

Miles' eyes well up.

"Please Uncle Aaron." Miles said, barely a whisper.

Kingpin calls Aaron from his car below, watching the standoff, "Prowler, what are you waiting for? Finish it."

A long beat...and then Aaron pulls down Miles' mask, and backs away, his hands up. He smiles at Miles when a gunshot is heard when Kingpin fires. Aaron's eyes go wide as he falls back.

Kingpin has shot him.

Kingpin aims at Miles but Peter swings in and knocks Kingpin down.

"Get out of here!" Peter said, looking at Miles.

Miles scoops up Aaron and swings away.

Jefferson arrives and sees two people swinging across the street.

EXT. DARK ALLEY…

Miles kneels over Aaron.

"...Miles…" Aaron said, sadly.

"...Uncle Aaron. This is my fault." Miles said, frowning.

Aaron takes Miles' hand. Shakes his head 'no'.

"No Miles. I'm sorry. I wanted you to look up to me. I let you down, man, I let you down. You're the best of all of us, Miles. You're on your way. Just... keep going... just keep going…" Aaron said, with Miles at his side, he dies.

Miles can't believe it.

"Hands up! Put your arms up now!" Jefferson said, angrily.

Miles stands but doesn't turn around. Puts up his arms.

"Turn around." Jefferson said, while Miles instinctively camouflages with his dad looking around, unable to see him. "Hey! Hey!" But as Jefferson advances, he sees who the dead man is. "Aaron? Aaron. No... No."

Jeff touches his brother's face, and recoils.

Miles is camouflaged, seeing the grief hit his father.

Jeff's face hardens. He turns on his shoulder radio.

"All units. I want an APB on a new Spider-Man." Jefferson said, talking into a walkie talkie.

As Jefferson slumps, Miles is devastated.

(Jared's POV)

INT. VISIONS ACADEMY - MILES' DORM - EVENING…

Miles is tearing through his room in an emotional, teenaged rage. He pushes all of his homework and books off his desk and his sketchbook falls open on the floor, the artwork he did with Aaron staring up at him. Miles picks it up and throws it out the window. The notebook flies back through the window like a boomerang, Miles catches it.

Peter's head pops into the window. He climbs into the room, followed by me and the other spiders. Peter walks up to Miles and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, bud. You okay?" Peter asked, as Miles takes a deep breath, holding back tears. "We've all been there. For me, it was my Uncle Ben."

"For me, it was my Uncle Benjamin." Spider-Man Noir said.

"For me, it was my father." Peni said.

"For me, it was my best friend." Gwen said.

"For me, it was the Ponds. Amelia Jessica Pond and Rory Arthur Williams. They were my family." I said, sadly.

"Miles, the hardest thing about this job is you can't always save everybody." Spider-Ham said.

"Look, it was my fault. You wouldn't understand." Miles said.

"Miles, we're probably the only ones who do understand…" Gwen said, and there is a jiggling at the door.

"Oh no…" Peter said, his eyes widening.

The door swings open, revealing Ganke, entering with his headphones on, playing music.

Ganke crosses to his desk and the Spiders and I are plastered to the wall in back of him.

Oblivious, Ganke grabs his Spider-Ham comic and starts to read, foot on his desk. He takes his headphones off and spins in his chair, now facing the Spider-Men and I, but with his comic blocking his view.

"That way! That way!" Peter said, whispering, while the Spider-Man and I clump moved to the ceiling and onto the wall in back of him. Ganke then crosses back to the other direction. "Other way! Other way!"

"I'm sorry, Peni." I said, as the Spider-Man and I clump shifted back to where it was. "We're trying our best to cover you. I promise."

"I know." Penny said, and Ganke sits.

Ganke lifts up his comic and lowers the comic to see Spider-Ham. Spider-Ham grins.

"Hey there!" Miles said, happily.

"Do animals talk in this dimension? Cause I don't wanna freak him out…" Spider-Ham said.

Ganke faints to the ground, unconscious.

"Time to give him some Retcon." I said, opening up a water bottle with the Retcon needed for it. "It's an amnesia pill, Miles. Just let him drink it."

"Okay." Miles said, making Ganke drink the Retcon and then putting him into the bed.

When Miles turns around, Gwen and I are climbing through the window, only Peter remains in the room.

"What's going on?" Miles asked.

"Bye Miles." Gwen said, sadly.

"It was fun meeting you, Miles." I said, frowning.

"Miles, I came to say goodbye." Peter said.

"We can say goodbye at the collider." Miles said.

"You're not getting it. You're staying here."

"I need to be there. So you can all go home." Miles said, picking up goober off his desk.

"They are going home, Miles. I'm the only one staying." Peter said, looking at Miles.

"You're taking my place...? If you stay here you'll die."

"I'm doing what needs to be done. I just wanted you to hear it from me."

"What about MJ?"

"Not everything works out, kid. I need the goober. Then…" Peter said, looking down at the floor. "...please don't make me take it from you."

Peter steps forward.

Miles is furious, "That's not fair! You've gotta tell them I can do this!"

"It wasn't their decision. And Jared knew it wasn't his decision. He knew the moment he saw me that he didn't have control of the situation." Peter said.

"I gotta make Kingpin pay! You have to let me make him pay!" Miles said, angrily.

"Miles, you're gonna get yourself killed."

"But I'm ready, I promise…"

Peter does a combo move, nearly knocking Miles to the ground, if Peter wasn't there to catch him. Miles hangs down, held up by Peter.

"Then venom strike me right now, or turn invisible on command so you can get past me." Peter said.

Miles tries to do what he's saying but it only makes Peter seem even more right.

Outside the window, the other spiders and I listen to their conversation.

"Look, I know how much you want this, kid." Peter said, nearby.

"Poor little guy." Spider-Man Noir said.

"Yeah. I hate seeing him like this. Miles shows me what is possible. But he's just not there yet." I said, letting out a sigh.

Back inside the dorm room, Peter puts Miles down.

"But you don't have it yet." Peter said, webbing a desk chair under Miles, spins the chair, and webs him into a cocoon, and takes the key. "I'm sorry."

Peter can't look at Miles.

"When will I know I'm ready…" Miles said, when Peter webs his mouth.

"You won't. It's a leap of faith. That's all it is Miles. A leap of faith." Peter said.

Peter jumps out of the window and swings away with the other spiders and I am hanging onto Peni's robot.

Miles, tied securely to his desk chair, watches sadly from his window.

INT. VISIONS ACADEMY - MILES' DORM - NIGHT…

Time passes. Miles stares ahead.

There are three knocks at the door. Miles is jolted out of his self-pity by the knock at his door -- someone that can help him! Miles scooches towards the door excitedly, inch by inch on the chair.

INT. VISIONS DORM HALLWAY - NIGHT…

Jefferson is in the hallway in full uniform.

"Miles! Miles, it's your Dad." Jefferson said, seeing a shadow moving under the door and it stopped.

INT. VISIONS ACADEMY - MILES' DORM / DORM HALLWAY - NIGHT…

Miles, now a couple of feet from the door, freezes.

"Please open the door." Jefferson said, as Miles starts to slowly back away from the door, inch by inch. "Miles, I can see your shadow moving around. Miles stops again. "Yeah. Ok, I get it. I get it. Still ignoring me. Look, can we talk for a minute? Something happened…" He struggles with what to say. "Look sometimes, people drift apart, Miles. And I don't want that to happen to us, ok? Look, I know I don't always do what you need me to do or say what you need me to say, but I'm... I see this...this spark in you. It's amazing, it's why I push you. But it's yours and whatever you choose to do with it, you'll be great."

Miles' eyes are wide and soulful. He rests his head against the door, so close.

"Look, call me when you can, ok? I love you." Jefferson said, not expecting a response back from Miles. "You don't have to say it back though."

Jefferson still waits for an 'I love you' back. When he doesn't get it, he taps the door farewell and walks down the hall.

Miles closes his eyes near the door and his hands visibly relax as his venom strike starts to crackle to life on his hands - using this memory is how he's learning to control his powers.

Miles uses a mini venom strike to break free from the chair restraints. He can't believe it.

Ganke bolts up, dazed - but sees nothing.

Miles has turned invisible and is exiting the building. He's in control.

EXT. AUNT MAY'S BACKYARD - NIGHT…

Miles' hand opens the padlock. The lights in Peter's hideout flood on to reveal Aunt May sitting in wait, sipping tea.

"Took you long enough." Aunt May said.

EXT. BROOKLYN - WILLIAMSBURG SAVINGS BANK - NIGHT…

Clouds gather. Total coincidence. There is a gargoyle near the building's very tippy top. Lightning reveals a camouflaged Miles.

With each strike, Miles' journey to get to the top of the building. Flash! Miles exits the subway. Flash!

Miles approaches the Spider-man suits in the Spidey hideout.

Flash! Miles spray-paints a suit.

"I see this spark in you. It's amazing. Whatever you choose to do with it you'll be great." Jefferson said, in Miles' head.

"Our family doesn't run from things." Rio said, in Miles' head.

"You're the best of all of us, Miles. You're on your way. Just keep going." Aaron said, in Miles' head.

"When do I know I'm Spider-Man?" Miles asked, in his head.

Miles is moving closer and closer to the edge.

"You won't. That's all it is, Miles... a leap of faith." Peter said, in Miles' head.

Miles walks to the edge of the roof, the wind buffeting... and leaps! He isn't falling down, he's rising.

Miles is spray painting his new uniform.

Disinfecting the mask. Putting baby powder on the joints.

Miles is out of control, flailing. Miles shoots a web upwards between his legs...The webbing sticks to a building...

Miles snaps on web-shooters as Aunt May watches.

"Made 'em myself. They fit perfectly." Aunt May said.

Miles begins to swing. He moves with purpose through New York, slides between taxis, across windows.

He swings up on top of the Brooklyn Bridge and catches his breath. In the distance, we see Fisk Tower. He's ready.

SPIDER-MAN: MILES MORALES

(Jared's POV)

EXT. BROOKLYN STREETS - NIGHT…

The Spiders and I exit a bus. The whoosh of Spider-People swinging up to the top of a crane like a SWAT team and me hanging on for dear life on Penny's robot, until looking down at the Penthouse, staring into Skylights.

"What are we looking at here, Peni?" I asked, sipping on some bubble tea.

"Kingpin has a private elevator entrance from his penthouse to the collider below." Peni said.

"Didn't count on having an audience." Spider-Man Noir said.

INT. KINGPIN'S PENTHOUSE - ENTRANCE SALON - NIGHT…

Guests mill beneath massive banners depicting Spider-Man and Peter Parker: 'THE PETER PARKER MEMORIAL FUND.'

"You've got to be kidding me." All the Spiders and I said, at the same time.

"And I thought the LARPing adventure for Dannielle Fielding was crazy. But this is just…" I said, holding onto Peni's robot.

"Who's Danielle Fielding?" Peni asked.

"The Time Child. She's not real here. Unfortunately. Her story is one of my favorites." I said, while Kingpin stood. "I also liked Jumping Through Time. Another good story. God. I have too much time on my hands these days."

Cops and guards surround him.

Kingpin takes the dais, waves to the crowd, "Thank you, it's nice to be with you this evening to celebrate Spider-Man. He and I were very close. He was always a favorite of my son. Kids love Spider-Man, right? Still do."

"What a pig." Gwen said, scoffing.

"I'm right here." Spider-Ham said, offended.

"Hold on, get a load of how the waiters are dressed. It's in poor taste but…" Spider-Man Noir said, as the waiters are all dressed like tacky SPIDER-MEN, with bowties. "It can't be that easy."

"Hey. Bow ties are cool. And they're not in poor taste." I said, rolling my eyes.

INT. FISK PENTHOUSE…

The Spider-team and I are moving through the fundraiser. Noir carries a serving tray, while Peter, Gwen, and I push a large cart which is made from a contorted, crawling SP//dr.

"It's that easy." Spider-Man Noir said.

"And I just want to thank Mary Jane Parker for being here this evening. Our prayers are with you Mrs. Parker." Kingpin said.

As Kingpin mentions MJ, Peter spots her in the crowd.

"Uh oh. This can't be good." I said, sadly.

"…MJ?" Peter asked, gasping.

"Peter. Pay attention. This isn't your MJ." I said, looking at Peter.

"I'm sorry, I'll be right back…" Peter said, running away from Gwen and I.

"No! Peter! Come here! Trust me, I've been there." Gwen said, looking at Peter.

"I've been there too with Clara Oswald. She's my MJ. I met her twice before encountering her a third time. You gotta move on buddy." I said, hand on the table.

"This will just take one sec. Let me just…Oh!" Peter said, turning his cart towards MJ to bump into her.

"Hello." MJ said, happily.

"Oh wow."

"Um, I just wondered if we could have some more bread at table twelve." MJ said, sadly.

"Yeah! I'm just, I'm really sorry…" Peter said.

"Did you meet Clara this bad?" Gwen asked.

Gwen and I are horrified.

"For the third time around. Nah. This is much worse." I said, grabbing Gwen's hand.

"Oh, don't be sorry. It's just bread." MJ said, looking at Peter.

"No, I wasn't there for you when you needed me." Peter said.

"Mmmhmm…"

"And I didn't even try."

"That's fine. I should really get going…" MJ said, frowning.

"I know I could do better if I just had another chance to give you…" Peter said, realizing what he is saying. "...the bread that you deserve."

"Are you ok?"

"Ma'am we'll take care of that bread right now." Gwen said, as she and I are leading Peter away from MJ.

"It's been nice, uh, talking to you." MJ said.

"For you they should fill this place up with fresh bread." Peter said, fixated on MJ.

Gwen and I ushered Peter towards the kitchen.

"Peter, are you sure you're okay?" I asked.

"Yeah. Totally." Peter said.

"OK good cause we are not getting any bread." Gwen said.

The tables start to wobble, people look down at their drinks which now have ripples a la Jurassic Park.

"I'm just sorry my family can't see what we're doing tonight." Kingpin said.

(Open POV)

INT. COLLIDER CONTROL ROOM…

Doc Ock is hard at work on a computer, prepping the collider.

She hits a button.

"Initializing primary ignition sequence." A computer voice said.

INT. FISK TOWER…

Wilson Fisk walks with purpose down a hallway. He walks past two guards and disappears into his office.

As he passes, the guards are webbed. Reveal the spiders and Jared on the ceiling. Spider-Man Noir webs their eyes.

"Sleeeeeeep." Spider-Man Noir said, in a creepy whisper.

INT. FISK'S OFFICE…

Jared shoots at a panel in the elevator with his Ebb and Flow in bow and arrow form, allowing them to swing down the elevator shaft.

INT. OBSERVATION ROOM…

Kingpin enters with Tombstone and sees a waiting Doc Ock.

"Start the sequence." Kingpin said.

Doc Ock nods and a scientist takes a piece of hair from Vanessa's brush to use as a DNA sample.

"Uploading Vanessa Fisk and Richard Fisk DNA sequence." Scientist 1 said.

"Beginning scan for dimensional matches." Scientist 2 said.

Doc Ock fires the collider, a computer monitoring and calling the collider's status.

"Secondary ignition in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1." The computer voice said.

The collider fires just as something crazy happens.

INT. COLLIDER ROOM…

The spiders and the fanboy. They make their way to the top of the THUNDERING collider, moving like a military unit.

EXT. BROOKLYN STREETS…

Dimensional quaking occurs, worse than before, people panicking -- the Brooklyn Bridge flickers, pedestrians scream.

Jefferson helps a civilian and sees Fisk Tower flicker in the distance.

(Jared's POV)

INT. COLLIDER ROOM…

The Spiders and I crest the hill and stare at the beam and the beginnings of dimensional collapse.

Peter, Gwen, and I are nervous.

"Peter, you don't have to stay behind. I can do it." Gwen said, looking at Peter.

"And Gwen, if you don't want to do it. I can." I said, smiling.

"Not without the multiverse collapsing. It happened once without you. It can't happen again. From what you told me."

"It's okay. I've made up my mind. Jared, we can't let the multiverse collapse again. Since that is what happened when your timeline got rewritten or collapsed." Peter said, looking at me.

"That is true. I wish that wasn't the case." I said, when the Spiders all swung out to the ceiling of the collider room with me hanging onto Peni's robot still. "So what's the plan?"

"I'll put the goober in and take over the beam. After you're gone, I'll blow it up." Peter said, starting to crawl towards the panel. "Good luck guys."

Peter reaches the panel and he is about to put the override key into the panel when the Spider's get Spider Sense and my eyes glowed blue again.

"Son of a…" I said, on top of Peni's robot.

"They know we're here." Gwen said, sadly.

Doc Ock slowly emerges out of the ceiling. Real creepy like.

"Nice to see you again, Peter." Doc Ock said, slamming Peter onto the ceiling of the collider room.

The spiders and I rush to help Peter, but are attacked by Kingpin's thugs.

INT. COLLIDER ROOM…

We battle, the spiders and I are fending off bad guys while glitching!

"This sucks so much." I said, and the Spiders and I interact. "I can't fight like this."

Spider-Man Noir glitches and is caught under fire.

Peni comes to save Spider-Man Noir, "I got you covered!"

Gwen comes flying in, sliding down a gantry crane, and she sees Scorpion coming towards her, "Ugh, these guys are the pits."

Peni and SP//dr jump in with me jumping off of SP//dr for the two of us to fight Scorpion.

"Let's do this." I said, smiling.

"Right." Penny said, smirking.

On the ceiling, Peter struggles against Ock.

Peter tries to reinsert the goober but he puts it in the wrong way, "Why is this always difficult?"

Doc Ock drags Peter away from the panel.

"Where are you going, Peter?" Doc Ock asked, as she pulls Peter in. "Any last words?"

"Can I get a minute to think about it? Do you have a pen?" Peter asked.

"Goodbye Peter Parker." Doc Ock said.

Suddenly, one of her tentacles punches her in the face. Peter reacts to Doc Ock punching herself.

"Who did that?" Doc Ock asked, looking around.

Miles is turning visible as he flies towards Doc Ock.

"Miles?" Peter asked.

"Spider-Man?" Doc Ock asked.

Miles shoots webbing, knocking her back as she releases her hold on Peter. Miles catches him and they both land on the ceiling.

"Wow Miles! You're doing it on command!" Peter said, happily.

"About time right?" Miles asked. "Jared, is this your Semblance? Turning invisible?"

"Yeah. It's water based. And it's still evolving. I'm able to teleport using it now. As well as make it electromagnetic. Wow. I'm a combination of Shirai Kuroko and Mikoto Misaka now." I said, laughing a lot.

The Spiders and I react to seeing Miles again.

"Hey, look who's here!" Spider-Ham said, excitedly.

"Miles!" Peni said, looking up at Miles.

"You figured it out." Gwen said, smiling.

"I love you! I am so proud of you! Do I want kids?" Peter asked.

"You should, you should name your kid, May. After your Aunt May, Peter. Her nickname should be Mayday." I said, looking at Peter.

"That's a good name for the kid." Peter said, while Doc Ock breaks free of her restraints and charges them. "Oh yeah. I forgot about her."

As we fight, we all notice a box rising up towards the beam.

"Well that doesn't look promising." Peter said.

"No, it doesn't." Miles said.

(Open POV)

INSIDE THE OBSERVATION ROOM…

Vanessa and Richard start to flicker into existence as Kingpin watches from the observation room.

"I've got genetic matches! Hold on... It's too risky!" Scientist 1 said.

"Shut up and turn it up!" Kingpin said, angrily.

INT. COLLIDER ROOM…

The Spiders and Jared all battle bad guys as the room descends into more chaos.

"On your left! On your right! I got 5 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 2 o'clock! Every direction!" Peter said, worried.

"On your right! On your right!" Miles said, terrified.

BALLROOM…

Inside the building where the ball room is, people are panicking.

Jefferson is running against the tide, on his phone, "Get to a shelter! I'll be right there!"

INSIDE A HOSPITAL…

Furniture multiplies, the occupants panicking.

Rio is on the phone with Jefferson, "Vamo senor. I've tried the school, but I can't get through!"

OUTSIDE ON THE STREET…

The Visions bridge 'quakes', cars split into multiple versions of themselves, people run, screaming.

(Jared's POV)

BACK IN THE COLLIDER ROOM…

Cluster buildings burst through the portal. The spiders and I continue to battle as things get crazy.

Miles, Peter, Gwen, Ock, and I are looking at the view.

"Guys are you seeing this?!" Miles exclaimed.

Peter, Miles, Gwen, and I meet up on top of one of the collider guns. We look out over the chaos that is happening in the room.

"Wow…" I said, in awe. "That's amazing."

"It is. Looks like our dimensions are coming to us." Gwen said.

"It does look cool though, right?" Peter asked.

"We gotta get back up there. Shouldn't be too hard…" Gwen said.

Their Spider-senses go off and my eyes glowed blue again - we turn around just as Ock THROWS a bus at us!

Spider-Man Noir and Tombstone have a hand-to-hand fight.

"Is that all you got? You gonna fight or you just bumping gums you hard boiled turtle slapper?" Spider-Man Noir asked, pulling a car on top of Tombstone.

The car explodes.

Scorpion has SP//dr pinned down. Peni struggles to break free but Scorpion starts to destroy SP//dr, pulling off and destroying the robot's limbs.

As Scorpion goes to attack Peni again, an anvil slams onto Scorpion's head. Reveal that Ham has dropped it on him.

"Puerco? What are you, some kind of silly cartoon?" Scorpion asked.

"You got a problem with cartoons?" Spider-Ham asked.

Scorpion and Spider-Ham fight hand-to-hand combat. Ham is freaking insane at fighting. Spider-Ham knocks Scorpion down and before he can get up, Spider-Man Noir grabs his tail and swings him around. As he lets go and Scorpion flies towards Peni, she grabs one of SP//dr's detached arms and smashes Scorpion with it. He's out.

"Ohhh did THAT feel like a cartoon?" Spider-Ham asked.

Miles, Peter, Gwen, and I are still fighting Doc Ock.

Gwen, Miles, and I fight Doc Ock, tag-teaming. Gwen is impressed by Miles.

Suddenly one of Ock's tentacles hits Gwen hard and she falls back towards the beam.

"Gwen!" Miles said, flying after Gwen, barely grabbing her and he swings back up with a recovering Gwen.

"I like your suit." Gwen said, happily.

"Thanks. I made it myself." Miles said, shooting a web strand back at Peter and I. "Were you able to catch Clara when she fell?"

"Victorian Clara? Nah. She needed to fall. Unfortunately. I'm glad you were able to catch Gwen there." I said, looking between Gwen and Miles.

Peter and I grabbed the web strand and we pulled it, giving Gwen superspeed.

"That was adorable team! Now hold on tight!" Peter said, excitedly.

Gwen flies in and we all hit Doc Ock 1-2-3-4. Ock flies back from the impact and smashes onto a building. Furious, she races back towards us.

"Buckle up guys, this is going to take a while." Gwen said, and Doc Ock is hit by a rogue 18 wheeler. "Alright, never mind. Let's end this thing."

Miles takes control and he's the quarterback now, "Guys, I got it."

"I'll go. I'm the one with the goo…" Peter said, while Miles held up the goober. "Oh you gotta be kidding me."

"Don't watch the mouth. Watch the hands." Miles said, shooting a web and swings off through the chaos in the collider room.

"Miles!" Peter yelled.

"Be careful!" Gwen said, worried.

"Seriously. Be careful! I don't want Gwen to lose you!" I said, as Miles is heading to the panel, doing his own version of Blonde Peter's swing-crawl-flip to the panel. "What the?!"

"That was crazy." Miles said, happily.

Peter, Gwen, and I are looking at each other.

"Ah, we taught him that right?" Peter asked.

"I didn't teach him that. Jared certainly didn't. And you definitely didn't, Peter." Gwen said.

"You're not wrong there. There was no way I could have taught him that." I said, sadly.

Peter, Gwen, and I. swing off to join Miles.

As SP//dr sparks and dies, Peni takes out her spider. Peni turns to look at the destroyed robot, tears in her eyes. Noir steps up, puts his hand on Peni's shoulder.

"You okay?" Noir asked, tenderly. "C'mon…"

Peni jumps on Noir's back and with Ham, they swing away to join Miles at the panel.

Inside is the mess of wires and equipment RIPeter saw.

Miles inserts the goober, "Guys! I got control of the beam! Get up here!"

"Alert! Quantum polarity has been reversed." A computer voice said.

(Open POV)

IN OBSERVATION ROOM…

Kingpin's looks up and sees Miles at the panel as the other spiders join him.

Kingpin, enraged, slams down on the control panels in front of him, smashing the windows of the Observation Room.

(Jared's POV)

IN THE COLLIDER ROOM…

The room shakes, inter-dimensional quakes rocking the collider and all of Brooklyn.

The Spiders and I converge on the panel.

"Guess this is it." Gwen said, frowning.

"Well, nice to know we're not alone. Right?" Peni asked.

"Yeah."

"It is. I've been alone for so long. Especially while dealing with Spider-Man situations. It sucked. It really sucked." I said, while we all look around at each other. We want to go home...but part of us wants to stay. "Why can't we stay like this?"

"I want it to, Jared. But we can't." Miles said, punching a code into the keypad and twists the goober. "I got the portal open. You first Peni."

Peni smiles.

"Thank you, Miles. From both of us." Peni said, jumping into the beam.

Miles punches in another code and looks to Noir.

"I, uh, love you all." Spider-Man Noir said, holding up a Rubik's cube. "I'm taking this cube thing with me. I don't understand it, but, I will."

Noir lets go and disappears. Spider-Ham hold up a huge mallet. He's near tears.

"I want you to have this. It'll fit in your pocket."Spider-Ham said, as Miles takes the mallet. "That's all folks."

Spider-Ham jumps.

"Is he allowed to say that? Legally?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. He is. This is my story after all." I said, happily. "I know that this is real to me."

Miles turns to Gwen. Awkward. Just like the classroom, but it is more sad.

"Do I get to like the hairdo now?" Miles asked, looking at Gwen.

Gwen laughs, "You know I'm older than you. Fifteen months, but it's pretty significant if you ask me."

"Well, Einstein said time was relative, right?" Miles asked.

"Nice." Gwen said, laughing and turning away, uncomfortable with the moment.

Miles holds out his hand, "Friends?"

Gwen grabs Miles' hand and holds it, "Friends."

"Cool." Miles said.

"See you around Spider-Man." Gwen said, elegantly leaping into the beam.

Miles turns to Peter and I, "Peter. Your turn. Then it's Jared's turn."

"Yeah yeah right…" Peter said, hesitantly.

"I don't…" I said, and Peter and I looked down and we hesitated. "Peter lost everything. And I will too someday. I hate being alone."

Peter and Miles are both hit with a surge of Spider-Sense while my eyes glowed blue. Miles, Peter, and I look down to see Kingpin has left the observation room and is now leap-frogging his way across buildings towards us.

"You're not going anywhere!" Kingpin said, angrily.

Peter assesses the situation.

"I'll hold him off, you shut this down!" Peter said, jumping away from the panel, going towards Kingpin with me behind this version of Spider-Man.

"Yeah. The three of us can take on Kingpin together!" I said, as Miles was surprised.

"Peter, Jared, that wasn't the deal!" Miles said, worried.

"It is now! Just push the green button! Don't wait for Peter and I!" I said, happily.

But Peter and I are leaping away already, as Peter is swinging and I am flying away with my ALO wings out, when a web stops Peter and I and yanks us back to Miles, on the other side of the web.

"What are you doing?" Peter asked.

"Peter, Jared, you gotta go home!" Miles said, looking between Peter and I.

"This guy could kill you! Jared and I can't let Spider-Man die." Peter said, looking at Miles.

"Neither can I." Miles said, defiant.

"It's OK." Peter said.

"It really is okay. I saw Spider-Man die once. And it broke me." I said, letting out tears.

"Yeah, it is ok." Miles said, drop kicking Peter and I and holding us suspended over the portal.

It looks exactly like when Peter challenged Miles in his dorm room before tying him up.

"Peter, Jared, you two gotta go back to your respective homes, guys." Miles said, with empathy.

"How do I know I'm not gonna mess it up again?" Peter asked, suddenly sad and scared.

"You won't." Miles said.

"Right. It's a leap of faith." Peter said, realizing what is going on.

"And how do I know I won't die at Trenzalore with the Doctor? History says I'm going to die with him." I said, still crying.

"You won't." Miles said, looking at me.

"Okay. So I have to take a leap of faith also. Just like Peter." I said, happily. "I can do that."

Peter and I took our hands off Miles' hand, with the two of us readying ourselves. Miles drops Peter and I into the portal.

Peter smiles and I wipe my tears as we disappear into the portal.

"Not bad, kid." Peter said.

"Thank you, Miles." I said, smiling.

(Open POV)

Bedroom…

Night time. A pinwheel rattles in the overgrown garden of an old house. A little red-haired Scottish girl is saying her prayers.

"Dear Santa. Thank you for the dolls and pencils and the fish. It's Easter now, so I hope I didn't wake you, but honest, it is an emergency. There's a crack in my wall. Aunt Sharon says it's just an ordinary crack, but I know it's not, because at night there's voices, so please, please, could you send someone to fix it? Or a policeman. Or a…" Amelia said, hearing the Tardis materialising outside, then a crash. "Back in a moment." She grabs a torch and looks outside to see the Tardis has crash-landed on its side, on the garden shed while Jared is on the TARDIS after dealing with the events of Into the Spiderverse. "Thank you, Santa."

(Jared's POV)

Garden…

For only the second time ever, the Tardis doors open outwards - they are facing the sky - and a grappling hook is thrown out. A soaking wet Doctor clambers out and I lifted myself off the ground.

"Could I have an apple? All I can think about. Apples. I love apples. Maybe I'm having a craving? That's new. Never had cravings before." The Doctor said, sitting on the edge of the Tardis and looking inside. "Whoa. Look at that. Jared! Where did you come from?"

"Oh, I met a lot of Spider-Man." I said, walking over to the Doctor. "Who knew that my leap of faith would bring me here."

"Are the two of you okay?" Amelia asked, looking between the Doctor and I.

"Besides landing in a dimensional portal and ending up back home. I'm fine. What about you, Raggedy Man?" I asked, taking out my Nintendo Switch to see that it is safe and sound.

"Well, Jared, I just had a fall. All the way down there, right to the library. It was a hell of a climb back up." The Doctor said.

"You're soaking wet." Amelia said.

"I was in the swimming pool."

"You said you were in the library."

"He was also in the swimming pool. The swimming pool was in the library." I said, placing my Nintendo Switch back inside my pocket.

"Are you two policemen?" Amelia asked, looking between the Doctor and I.

"Why? Did you call policemen?" The Doctor asked.

"Did you both come about the crack in my wall?"

"What crack? Argh!" The Doctor said, falling to the ground.

"Raggedy Man, are you okay?" I asked, running up to the Doctor with Amelia.

"No, I'm fine. It's okay. This is all perfectly norm…" The Doctor said, while a breath of golden energy comes from his mouth.

"Who are the two of you?" Amelia asked, looking between the Doctor and I.

"I don't know yet. I don't know who I am. I'm still cooking. Does it scare you?" The Doctor asked.

"No, it just looks a bit weird." Amelia said, frowning.

"Nope. He isn't talking about that. He's talking about the crack in the wall. Does it scare you?" I asked.

"Yes." Amelia said, sadly.

"Well then, no time to lose. I'm the Doctor. This is Jared. Do everything we tell you, don't ask stupid questions, and don't wander off." The Doctor said, walking straight into a tree.

"Doctor, are you okay?" I asked, laughing a lot.

"Early days. Steering's a bit off."

Kitchen…

"If you're a doctor, why does your box say Police?" Amelia asked, looking at the Doctor.

"It's a long story for him." I said, leaning against the wall.

The Doctor bites into an apple, then spits it out, "That's disgusting. What is that?"

"That was an apple, Raggedy Man."

"Apple's rubbish. I hate apples." The Doctor said, annoyed.

"You said you loved them." Amelia said.

"No, no, no. I like yogurt. Yogurt's my favorite. Give me yogurt." The Doctor said, while Amelia gets him a pot from the fridge while pours it in his mouth and then spits it out. "I hate yogurt. It's just stuff with bits in."

"You said it was your favorite."

"New mouth. New rules. It's like eating after cleaning your teeth. Everything tastes wrong. Argh!" The Doctor said, twitching violently.

"What is it? What's wrong with you?" Amelia asked.

"Wrong with me? It's not my fault. Why can't you give me any decent food? You're Scottish. Fry something." The Doctor said.

"What did you mean by Spider-Man? Who is that?" Amelia asked, getting the frying pan out.

"Right. It's too early." I said, while the Doctor dries his hair with a towel. "I forgot Iron Man isn't a thing yet."

"Ah, bacon!" The Doctor said, happily.

That gets spat out, too.

"Bacon. That's bacon. Are you trying to poison me?" The Doctor asked, looking at Amelia.

"No, she isn't." I said, tossing Amelia a can of baked beans.

A saucepan of baked beans gets heated up.

"Ah, you see? Beans." The Doctor said, tasting the beans and spitting them out. "Beans are evil. Bad, bad beans."

"Ugh. Let's try this." I said, taking out some bread and a stick of butter to make something delectable for the Doctor.

"Bread and butter. Jared, now you're talking." The Doctor said, looking at me.

Front door…

The Doctor throws the plate of bread and butter out, hitting a cat, "And stay out!"

Kitchen…

"We've got some carrots." Amelia said, looking in the fridge.

"Carrots? Are you insane?" The Doctor asked, looking at Amelia.

"Finally! I didn't want to speed things up like some of your wives in alternative realities. I know what you need, Raggedy Man." I said, grabbing fish fingers and custard out of the fridge. "You need fish fingers and custard!"

The Doctor contentedly dips the fish fingers into a bowl of custard and eats, while Amelia and I are eating sea salt ice cream.

"Funny." Amelia said.

"Am I? Good. Funny's good." The Doctor said.

"So, what's your name?" I asked, enjoying my bowl of sea salt ice cream.

"Amelia Pond." Amelia said, happily.

"That's an amazing name. Amelia Pond. That's like a name in a fairy tale. Amelia, are we in Scotland?" I asked, eating my sea salt ice cream.

"No. We had to move to England. It's rubbish." Amelia said, scoffing.

"What about your parents? Your mom and dad? Are they upstairs? I thought we could have woken them up due to the chaos we made down here." I said, frowning.

"I don't have a mum and dad. Just an aunt." Amelia said, sadly.

"I don't even have an aunt." The Doctor said, happily.

"You're lucky." Amelia said, eating her portion of the sea salt ice cream.

"I know. So, your aunt, where is she?"

"She's out."

"Did she leave you all alone?" I asked, eating the sea salt ice cream again.

"I'm not scared." Amelia said, rolling her eyes.

"Course, you're not. You're not scared of anything. Box falls out of the sky, man falls out of a box, man's friend falls out of the sky, man eats fish custard, man's friend eats sea salt ice cream, and look at you, just sitting there. So you know what we think?" The Doctor asked.

"What?" Amelia asked.

"You must have one hell of a scary crack in your wall." I said, looking at Amelia.

Bedroom…

The crack is about three to four feet long, an elongaged W shape.

"You've had some cowboys in here. Not actual cowboys, though that can happen." The Doctor said.

"I used to hate apples, so my mum put faces on them." Amelia said, giving the Doctor an apple with a smiley face cut into it.

"She sounds good, your mum. I'll keep it for later. This wall is solid and the crack doesn't go all the way through it. So here's a thing. Where's the draught coming from?" The Doctor asked, scanning the crack with the sonic screwdriver. "Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey. You know what the crack is?"

"What?" Amelia asked.

"It's a crack." I said, sadly.

"But I'll tell you something funny. If you knocked this wall down, the crack would stay put, because the crack isn't in the wall." The Doctor said, touching the crack.

"Where is it then?" Amelia asked.

"Everywhere. In everything. It's a split in the skin of the world. Two parts of space and time that should never have touched, pressed together right here in the wall of your bedroom. Sometimes, can you hear?" The Doctor asked.

"A voice. Yes."

There is a vague growling from somewhere.

The Doctor empties Amelia's nighttime glass of water and uses it to listen to the crack.

"Prisoner Zero has escaped." The Atraxi said, nearby.

"Prisoner Zero?" The Doctor asked.

"Prisoner Zero has escaped. That's what I heard. What does it mean?" Amelia asked.

"Prisoner Zero has escaped." The Atraxi said, nearby.

"Amelia, on the other side of this wall, there's a prison. And they lost a prison. Do you know what that means?" I asked, looking at Amelia.

"What?" Amelia asked.

"You need a better wall. The only way to close the breach is to open it all the way. The forces will invert and it'll snap itself shut." The Doctor said, while he and I moved Amelia's desk out of the way. "Or…"

"What?"

"Hey, Amelia. Do you know when grown-ups tell you that everything's going to be okay? And well, you think they're lying to make you feel better?" I asked, walking back to Amelia.

"Yes." Amelia said, sadly.

"Everything's going to be okay." I said, taking little Amelia's hand and the Doctor aimed the sonic screwdriver at the crack.

The crack widens, flooding the bedroom with bright light.

"Prisoner Zero has escaped. Prisoner Zero has escaped." The Atraxi said, in the crack.

"Hello? Hello?" The Doctor asked.

A giant blue eye looks at us through the crack.

"What's that?" Amelia asked.

A bolt of light goes to the Doctor, and he doubles over, then the crack closes again.

"There, you see? Told you it would close. Good as new." The Doctor said, happily.

"What's that thing? Was that Prisoner Zero?" Amelia asked.

"Nope. I think that was Prisoner Zero's guard." I said, letting out a sigh.

"Whatever it was, it sent me a message. Psychic paper. Takes a lovely little message." The Doctor said, reading the message on the psychic paper. "Prisoner Zero has escaped. But why tell us? Unless."

"Unless what?" Amelia asked.

"Unless Prisoner Zero escaped through here. But he couldn't have escaped through the crack in your bedroom wall. We'd know." I said, looking between the Doctor and Amelia.

Corridor…

The stairs go up. There is a door across the way and two at the far end where the staircase goes down again.

"It's difficult. Brand new me. Nothing works yet. But there's something I'm missing. In the corner of my eye. Jared knows what I'm missing. But he won't tell me due to spoilers." The Doctor said, while the Tardis Cloister Bell tolls. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!"

Garden…

"I've got to get back in there. The engines are phasing. It's going to burn!" The Doctor said, worried.

"But it's just a box. How can a box have engines?" Amelia asked.

"It's not a box. It's a time machine."

"What, a real one? You've got a real time machine?" Amelia asked.

"He won't have one for much longer if he can't get her stabilized." I said, typing in coordinates into my vortex manipulator.

"Five minute hop into the future should do it. Jared, do you want to come?" The Doctor asked, looking at me.

"I can't. I'll be crossing my own time stream. I'm sorry, Doctor." I said, finishing typing in the coordinates I need into my vortex manipulator.

"If Jared can't, can I? Can I come?" Amelia asked.

"Not safe in here. Not yet. Five minutes. Give me five minutes, I'll be right back." The Doctor said.

"People always say that." Amelia said, sadly.

"Am I people? Do I even look like people? Trust me. I'm the Doctor. And he is my best friend, Jared." The Doctor said, jumping down into the Tardis. "Geronimo!"

Splash! The door close and the Tardis dematerialises. I pressed a button on my vortex manipulator and disappeared in a flash of blue light. Amelia runs back to her room, gets a suitcase from underneath her bed and packs. The door across from hers is the bathroom. She doesn't notice that one of the doors at the end is now open. Dressed in duffel coat and wooly hat, Amelia sits on her suitcase in the garden and waits.
