Vivienne hadn't wanted Piers to stop. She wanted him to finish what he had started. It wasn't until her thoughts were able to return after a few minutes that she realized what could've been happening. Had he wanted to bite her? In the back of her mind she couldn't help wondering if he didn't like it or if he wasn't entirely pleased with her. She forced herself to recede those thoughts and insecurities. Piers sighed out of frustration and took her hand once more, walking further and pulling her along with him. "You're going to be the undoing of me." He said in a low voice, a smirk growing on his face.

After a few hours the party began to subside. Piers had sent her home in the same car she'd come in. When she arrived back home, Oliver was at the door waiting to greet her. "Did you have a nice evening, miss?" Vivienne smiled as she walked up the stairs towards her room. "Magical.." Was all she responded with a smirk.

The next morning Oliver knocked lightly on the door to Vivienne's bedroom. She grumbled as she rubbed her eyes, sunlight peeking through the edges of her curtains. "Come in." She said just loud enough as she sat up in bed and stretched her arms. Oliver walked in carrying a crystal vase filled with at least fifty dark red roses. Her mouth hung open and she quickly jumped out of bed, rushing over to him as he placed them on a nearby table. "What... Where did these come from?" Oliver smiled gently. "They were delivered just now." He handed her an ivory envelope that had a black wax seal on the back. Vivienne's heart beat loud and hard as she flipped it over and opened it quickly.

"For the creator of my undoing. Piers" Vivienne smiled as she read it and put it down to admire the beautiful flowers he had sent. It had been a long time since anyone had done a romantic gesture for her and even though it was a simple one, it was thoughtful and meant something to her. Plus they were the most beautiful roses she had ever seen. Not a single petal was blemished in any way. "Nice to see that he has some gentleman-like qualities." Oliver said as he inspected the roses with Vivienne.

Just then, Vivienne's phone pinged and she went over to check the message that had come through. It was from one of the scientists at the laboratory she had visited that fateful night. "I have something very important to discuss with you. Please meet me at Valencia park at 9pm." She drew her brows together as she thought about this and what it could mean. Why would he want to meet so late at night at a park? The particular park he was wanting to go to was more or less a large set of woods with a nature trail running through it for people to walk on. Going to a public place she understood but doing so late at night was cause for concern. Especially considering what happened to her the last time she found herself lost in the woods. Then again that was the same night that she met Piers.

"Looks like I'll be gone for a little while tonight, Oliver." Vivienne said as she put her phone down after sending a quick reply.
