Live on!

"Grawr!" Were they heard as a dark-faced villager dashed and bites Oliver's neck. Joseph stands up and shouted, "Get some weapons!" He darted his eyes on the house but he didn't find one.

Daniel and Patrick also didn't find one, their hearts were on their throat. Oliver's body drop to the floor the sound made the three glanced at the Zombie.

The zombie slowly walked to them. "What do we do!?" Daniel shouted his hands were shaking. Joseph was standing still like a tree his mind on somewhere else, "grawr." Seeing the zombie was close they felt that death was looking at them.

Patrick glanced at Joseph and Daniel and dashed at the zombie while shouting "Escape now!" He overpowered the zombie and punched it face multiple times, the zombie claws penetrate his forearm leaving a puddle of blood on the floor.

"Why!!!?" Daniel messes his hair while standing still and the shock from Patrick's action replayed on his mind. he just started to be friends with him but now!? He got tapped in the back by Joseph and said "Don't forget Patrick sacrifice!" Joseph's tears were dripping on his cheeks as he made a run holding Daniel's hands out of the house.

"Grawr!" Zombies smelled their scents and Joseph ran. 'What's happen!? All the villagers turned to zombies so fast?' They go to the forest and continued to run when they found their car.

It was evening and Joseph didn't have an accurate time so he glanced at Daniel and whispered "What time?" Daniel sat beside the car and reached for his phone "6:30 P.M." Joseph kicks the car but it did not open.

'I should hold the key! Why did I forget about it!' Joseph shakes his head and sat beside Daniel while saying "All of this is really unbelievable." Patrick's face shows up in his mind and the tears he holds back gushed out like a dam.

Daniel clenches his fist 'i will kill the zombies if they come here I'll use this weak fist of mine!' His eyes like a wild beast and glancing at Joseph, he touches his shoulder while joking "you are our lead so why cry? Be strong like Patrick!" Hearing that Joseph remembers all that happened, from their plan to go to the haunted mansion, to when they chat all night.

When he was about to reply. "Grawr!" Three zombies appeared on their sight. Daniel clenched his fist, it started to shake but when he thought of Patrick's bravery he shouted "Bring it On!" Joseph glances at the zombie and his surroundings. He punches the window of the car. Boom! Boom! Boom!! The first punch left his fist bloody, the second punch left his fist a cracking sound, and finally, on the third punch, his fist softens as though bones didn't exist.

"Why did you do that!" Daniel shouted at Joseph then he saw Joseph holding the shattered glass in his hands with a cold glint in his eyes. "We're gonna use this to cut their necks." Joseph then hand the shattered glass to Daniel and grabbed another one.

"Grawr!" The zombie reached its stick-like arms but a streak of blood jumped at the air, the neck of the zombie was sliced! Thud! It fell on the road but Daniel kept cutting its neck leaving the zombie headless.

Joseph who was fighting with the zombie shouted "Don't let the blood of them get onto your skin!" While he ducks his head and launched the shattered glass onto the eyes of the zombie.

The other zombie managed to scratch Joseph's pants leaving him a thin slice of marks that flowed blood. Seeing this Joseph's heart became cold and he sliced the zombie neck multiple times to calm his tears that ready to gush out.

"Finally" sighed Daniel as the headless zombie was on the road its head was thrown by him from afar. He glanced at Joseph and noticed something wrong. "What's wrong?" Daniel asked while catching his breath from the fight earlier. Joseph smiled bitterly and showed him his thigh that had black blood flowing into it.

Daniel's body turns sluggish then he sat on the road with no strength left in his body. "Why? Why!" He cried and cried until Joseph whispered to him "go to the haunted mansion I noticed zombies are staying away from it." Hearing that Daniel replied with his voice shaking "what do you mean!? That is the haunted house that Oliver said is creepy! Also, I will not leave you here!"

Joseph removed his glasses and glanced at the sky with many stars he can't count. He shouted but weakly "pls live for us." Then his body turns cold while his eyes till opened still looking at the boundless sky.

Daniel wept and wept until growling sounds echoed. He glanced at the zombies approaching and looked at Joseph one last time before running into the forest. The zombies chased him but they can't catch up, others walked to Joseph body.

'Huff huff' while running at the forest Daniel kept an eye on his surroundings for any zombies that might approach him. He halted and glance at the big mansion that had no affinity to heaven as the zombies maintain their distance to the mansion.

He dashed to the mansion front door and closed it. He catches his breath and feels a little creepy at the atmosphere of the mansion. Yet remembering the faces of his two friends his courage is reborn.

He put down his backpack and set up the camp, after it was done he sat on the camp and reached out for his phone. Glancing at it he noticed the phone's battery was 28% and he turned on the cellular data and prayed to his heart to work.

Seeing he was now connected he tried to control himself to not jumped here, he touched here and there and finally reached the news.

'Apocalypse is coming! Scientists and researchers have not found why a zombie outbreak occurs. All are advised to stay at home as military soldiers are being despatched.'

He made a tsk sound thinking "can they find me here!?" Then he saw his conversation messages from Joseph and Patrick when they were asking him to hang out. Daniel's eyes were red due to crying all night, he changed his wallpaper to the three of them in a park smiling together on the camera.

He sleeps soundly on the camp and didn't notice a pale child watching him. "don't worry ill protect you." muttered fang zheng with determination look as thought a father protecting his son.
