Once I found the living room I immediately recognized them. Amelia.
She turned around and let out a grin. I ran up to her and we embraced for a while. She looked a bit different. Her long dyed black hair grew out more and reached up to the middle of her torso. She thinned out her eyebrows just a bit and they look great. And she wore the lightest amount of makeup as usual.
"Lor, I missed you so much," she said as she was starting to let go. I couldn't really say anything so I just gave her a smile. "What? You don't miss me too?" She frowned. I let out a soundless gasp and quickly got out my notepad and showed her the note. "Oh."
"Wait what?!"
I chuckled at her sudden change of facial expression. "7 years? 7 YEARS LOREN?!"
I slowly nodded. "You're making it seem like it isn't a big deal, like what the hell!"
I shrugged at this. "Did you at least try?" She asked as she crossed her arms.
I gave her a sheepish smile. "Wooow, not even once?" She narrowed her eyes at me.
I shook my head. "Oh god, Loren...Did your uncle say he was going to help you or anything?" She questions as she started to tap her foot impatiently. I nodded.
"What's he going to do?"
As I showed her most of the notes that I had written down, she finally stopped asking questions and let me go. "Alright, I guess I should let you leave so you could start unpacking. But just know this conversation isn't over."
She hugged me one last time and waved me goodbye as I did the same.

I put my arm on my hip and used my free hand to wipe off the solitary sweat that was trickling down my forehead. I started to look around my closet, feeling proud of it. I organized all the shelves and my clothing, but the one thing that was bothering me is the size of the closet, it's too big.
It was a gold and white closet. There was a big empty space, but it had a long makeup desk placed in the middle. Around the walls were a bunch of cabinets, drawers, squared boxes, etc that were for my clothing. On the ceiling were a bunch of mirrors.
I didn't exactly need all the space because most of my clothing are just black hoodies and ripped jeans...which were also black.
I exited my closet and started to walk around my new room, which was also too big for my liking.
It was a whitish beige room. My queen sized bed was placed on the right of it and on the left was a large window that had a small sitting area. Behind the bed and sitting spot, was a small fireplace that had two mirrors next to it. And of course, chandeliers as usual.
Once I went around my room, I stopped at the door until something caught my eye. It was black with a button on it, a small microphone to speak in, and a...speaker?
All of a sudden it made a, "Ding" sound. My finger immediately went to the button. I don't know why I pressed it, but I felt like I should.
"Miss Sanchez, dinner is ready," the lady on the other end said, surprising me and causing me to jump. I put my hand on my heart and let out a breath. I shook away all the nerves and went to my closet to get a hoodie. I put on my hood and made sure that none of my hair or eyes were noticeable.
I breathed in and then out. Once I finished doing so, I went down to the dining room.
"Good afternoon," my uncle Steven greeted. I returned it with a nod. "Take a seat hun," my aunt said, pointing at all the available chairs.
I looked at the chairs and decided to take a seat next to Adrian. He waved and gave me a closed-mouth smile. Once I sat down, a bunch of workers came with plates filled with food. Everything. You name it. Chicken, steak, potatoes, mashed potatoes, salad. All of it. My jaw dropped at the sight. "You're drooling," Adrian notified me, chuckling at the end. I closed my mouth and wiped the saliva off the corners of my mouth. "Everyone, let's dig in," My uncle said. I nodded my head eagerly to which Adrian laughed at. I put a little of everything in order to try them all. Once I finished, I took a bite and kept going until my plate was empty.
I slid down my chair a bit and rubbed my stomach. "How was the food Loren?" My aunt asked. I gave her a thumbs up, then changed my mind and gave her double. She laughed and said, "I'm glad you liked it." She gave me a smile.
"Hey mom, dad, mind if I excuse myself? I need to do my homework," Adrian asked, looking at both his parents. "No, we don't mind, go ahead son," my uncle responded. "Okay, thank you," he said as he got up and left.
"That reminds me. Loren, once you're able to speak again, you'll be going to school. Are you okay with that?" My uncle asked as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table. I nodded my head.
"Alright, good," he said and started to get up as I did the same. I picked up my plate and was about to leave, but then my aunt stopped me mid-way.
"Don't worry about that, just leave them on the table."
Confused, I nodded again and placed them down. Once I did, I made my way upstairs into my room.
I closed my doors, ran to my bed and flopped onto it. I rolled over onto my back and sighed.
"Oh, how I've missed you," I thought to myself.
I felt a vibration in my pocket and quickly took out my phone to find a text from Amelia.
mY bIsH 💫✨: Hey. How you doing?
Checking up to see if you're alive
Great way to feel loved 🙄
and yes I am alive, though I feel
quite dead on the inside.
Does that answer your question?
mY bIsH 💫✨: Yes. Does that
answer yours?
You know, if I were to say yes,
I feel like we'd be going on like this all day.
mY bIsH 💫✨: True...But I wouldn't mind since I have nothing to do right now.
Come over
mY bIsH 💫✨: Be there in 5

A few minutes later, my doors burst open with a loud yell coming from Amelia "WHAT'S UP BISH!"
I shrugged as a response and laid back down on my bed as I scribbled down something.
I threw her the notebook which she surprisingly caught. "Close the doors," it said. Once she read it, she turned around and closed the doors. When she did, I pulled down my hood, revealing my blonde hair and very blue, yellow eyes.
"Wowzers, my best friend is hot," she said as she started to fan her face with her hand. I rolled my eyes at her childish behaviour.
"No, seriously though. You're freaking gorgeous. Juvenile did you good." She put her hand on her hip. I laughed and patted the spot beside me for her to sit. I heard a 'ding' sound come from Amelia's phone.
"YES! AARON IS GOING LIVE!" She yelled happily.
I was confused at first until a face popped up on her screen.
"Probably a celeb she's obsessed over," I thought.
"Hey everyoneee," the boy said, extending the e.
"I'm going to choose someone to join my live, so comment down if you want to be picked," he said and winked at the end.
Amelia quickly typed a bunch of things and she all of a sudden squealed..very loudly which caused me to close my ears.
"Is this real?" She asked.
"Do you want it to be?" He said and smirked at the end.
"Well, obviously. I'm literally talking to the freaking Aaron King," she said enthusiastically.
He laughed and asked, "What's your name?"
"Amelia," She replied, her voice a bit shaky.
"Amelia, nice to meet you. I'm Aaron." He said
They both laughed.
"I know," she said between laughs.
I brought my face away, so I wouldn't be noticed. Amelia noticed this as she took a glance my way.
"You alone?" The boy asked, who apparently is named Aaron.
I shook my hands repeatedly as a no, but knowing Amelia she obviously didn't listen.
She grinned and said, "No I'm not, I'm with my friend." She looked back at the screen.
"Lor, why don't you come here and say hi." She smirked.
I quickly pulled my hood up, but Amelia brought it back down right after.
I glared at her then sighed and decided why not. I won't be seeing the boy again, so I sat closer to her as I was now in view.
I thought I saw his eyes widen for a second, but I let it go. I waved at the screen.
"Hi..." he said, waiting for an answer from me.
"Loren," Amelia quickly responded.
"Hi Loren," he finished his sentence from before.
I nodded my head.
Amelia looked at me nervously as if she was asking me for permission to say something. I nodded my head letting her know she can.
"Um, Loren is not able to speak right now," Amelia said as she fidgeted with her fingers.
"Speak as in how?" He asked.
"As in her voice is not working." She took a glance at me again.
"Big fan?" He questioned.
"Uh," Amelia looked at me again
"Yeah, that's it," she quickly said.
"She's really shocked that she's actually talking to you," she lied.
I relaxed a bit after Amelia said that. I looked at her. She looked back and nodded her head as a, 'you're welcome.'
My eyes quickly scanned the screen and I looked at one of the comments which said: "she's just here for attention."
I frowned as I continued to read more and more hate comments.
Amelia started to look where I was looking and she frowned at them too, but quickly hid it with a smile.
"Hey, um Aaron. It was really nice talking to you, but we have to go now." She said quickly.
"Alright. It was nice talking to you too. Oh and, are you going to one of our concerts?" He asked.
"Yeah, Loren and I are going to the one in LA." She replied.
"I hope to see you both there. Bye," He said and gave us a smile.
"Yeah. Bye," Amelia finished and she gave him a wave.
"That was fun, but also not fun at the same time," she said as she put her phone in the back pocket of her jeans.
"I can't believe them. We literally spoke to him for like 5 minutes and they're already hating us," she scoffed. I nodded as I agreed.
I remembered what Amelia said earlier.
- "Are you going to one of our concerts?" He asked.
"Yeah, Loren and I are going to the one in LA." She replied. -
My eyes widened.
A Concert.
I started to write on my notebook and I gave it to her.
"I don't want to go to a concert," she read aloud.
"Sorry. Not sorry. We're going to it and we're going to the meet-and-greet whether you like it or not." She smiled innocently at the end.
I rolled my eyes and sighed in defeat.
"That's what I thought." She smirked.
I rolled my eyes again.
"Keep doing that and they'll be stuck in a position you don't want them to be in," she said as she started ticking her finger as a no.
I rolled my eyes for the third time and flopped back on my bed and decided to drown out Amelia's talking for the rest of the night until I eventually fell asleep.
